I went here to have my wedding dress altered. The owner, Mary, is such an incredibly kind, sweet, and empathetic woman who instantly made me feel at ease the second I walked in the door. She listened to my wishes for how I would like my wedding dress altered and intuitively understood my vision. My dress was ready in two weeks to the day I first brought it in and was exactly what I had asked for! I would highly recommend Elegant Alterations to anyone who values high-quality, fast, and custom service. I can't recommend Mary enough for alterations. She is the best I have found!

Such a positive experience with Mary! She is an absolute hidden treasure in Bethesda, and more people need to know her skill. She was so easy to connect with, and made me feel very relaxed and confident. She fit me onsite in her studio, and I kid you not, my dress was finished, bustled, and fitting me like a glove within an INCREDIBLE turnaround time. She even helped me make a video so I know how to bustle my dress the day of my wedding. I did my research, and coincidentally, my dress shop (in Arizona!) also recommended her as top of the list for MD. I trusted the reviews, and now can say from my own experience that you should absolutely work with her. Thank you again, Mary, for making such a big part of my wedding day even better!

I had the BEST experience here!! The alterations for my wedding dress were flawless and my dress fits exactly how I imagined. I had so much fun trying on my dress and working with such a talented seamstress. From the moment I walked in, I felt like I was in great hands! I had a really positive experience here, with surprisingly quick turnover and great craftsmanship. It's a comfortable environment and the owner is so nice and helpful! If you are looking for alterations, this is the place to go. I would absolutely return to her in the future and am so excited to wear my dress and veil which now fit perfectly!

Great work. Very professional. Great communication. I had many alterations done. One was a pair of pants that were too wide around my hips and thighs. Also, she is very fast.

Manijeh is extremely kind and helpful. My dress had a lot of beading, but Manijeh's diligent alteration was done in a timely manner and it fit my body perfectly. I recommend any bride in the DMV to make an appointment.
