Alongside wedding services, she also offers an amazing Heartbeat Experience with the help of other industry professionals. Whether it is a proposal, anniversary, or grand show of adoration, Erika will be with you for three hours while she captures over 250 images. She will then meticulously edit your memories and deliver them a glass USB, as well as 30 stunning prints in a luxe velvet keepsake box to treasure forever.

Neither of us are terribly comfortable in front of a camera, but with Erika the anxiety of "what do I do ...
with my hands? Am I making a weird face right now? Does this smile look natural enough?" melted away so quickly during the engagement shoot, and by the time we got to the wedding I had such complete confidence that I wasn't thinking about that to begin with.
We had some timing issues with other vendors that pushed out photography timeline back by about an hour, but Erika was so flexible and was able to get amazing detail shots as well as adjusting as needed. It was also unexpectedly hot on our wedding day, and the family pictures that were supposed to be outside had to be taken inside instead (low to mid 90s, no breeze, and a bride that sweats if the sun comes in the window at the wrong angle does not make for a great outdoor picture experience 😂) Again, it wasn't an issue for Erika- despite planning to take pictures outside for the year or more of talking our wedding day pictures, she rolled with the punches and took beautiful pictures inside.
During the first look and after the ceremony pictures that we did take outside, she was amazing about checking in and letting us know when we could go inside, and after the ceremony when I was getting too hot and had to cut our couple pictures short, she was completely fine with it and moved to cocktail hour pictures instead.
The day of flexibility and positive attitude she radiates is something I had no idea would be so important when I was choosing photographers. For that reason alone I'd recommend Erika to anyone. Then comes the sneak peak photos and you're in love with every one of them. And when you get all the pictures and relive your day, I don't gave words to explain it. I've probably looked through the pictures 20 times and they somehow get better every time.
All this doesn't even cover the second photographer and the assistant that Erika worked with. I truly wish I could remember their names so I could put a name to the review, but they were both absolutely incredible. They made me feel so beautiful and confident, and looking at my husband's getting ready pictures makes me tear up. She really managed to take an airbnb with a dozen people staying there (that is to say, an absolute mess!) and make it look like she was taking picturea on an actual set or in a getting ready suite.
As someone who cut costs as best as I could with other aspects of my wedding budget to make sure I could pay for the talent and artistry of a photographer that would capture my day exactly as I envisioned, I would make the same choice to book Erika a thousand times. She is worth every penny and then some.
Long story short: if you want a photographer who has an amazing attitude, experience with day of timeline getting messed up, flexibility/ability to adjust to anything that pops up, and takes damn good pictures- then congratulations your search ends with Erika and you've found your photographer.

We had no idea how to plan a wedding, nor any comprehension of how stressful it would end up being. No matter how chaotic and overwhelmed we felt, Erika and Bri were there with us through every step of the process. Over dozens of emails and phone calls, their patience and kindness eased every question and doubt we had throughout the planning and event. Guided by their cues and direction, we had the permission to relax, be present and enjoy our day. Without Bri and Erika, our wedding day would never have been possible.
Bri and Erika have an incredible gift. Through their craft, use of light, attention to detail and ability to capture a multitude of tiny moments, they record your story. Our wedding will forever be a treasured memory – one that we will relive time and time again through every photo.

And we loved our couple's portraits and bridal party photos from the wedding. Erika did a wonderful job editing, and our photographer did a nice job capturing the day's events (just what we wanted).
My only disappointment was in our family photos. I sent a long list of must-have combinations for the day, and a few important combinations were missed. Also, for my immediate family photos, the sun came out and when I requested we switch spots, our photographer, Katy, said it would look weird if we did. Unfortunately, we were all very squinty, and a few ended up off center.
Besides those minor things, we were very happy with our photos and those that we worked with. They captured our day beautifully....which is why I would still certainly recommend Erika and her team!!

ling Instagram endlessly for Wisconsin wedding photographers and found that every single photo that made my heart skip a beat... was a photograph of Erika's. And so began what would be the most beautiful professional relationship I've ever experienced.
We got to know Erika through the course of the year leading up to our wedding, quickly becoming friends and knowing with every conversation that we made the best choice.
In May of 2019 we made the difficult decision to postpone, and my biggest fear was that Erika wouldn't be available. Upon discussing she assured us that she had a plan and was already prepared! Fast forward to the Summer of 2021, Erika helped guide us through making sure we had a timeline, and knew exactly what we wanted from our day. She was an incredible support system and a confidant that even I (as the bride) would confide in during the stressful moments. Needless to say our day was the most perfect, magical, dream come true and a LOT of that is thanks to Erika. She's not just a photographer, she's an artist, a visionary, and more than anything else a friend.
You are doing yourself a disservice by passing up having her photograph your wedding, or any event for that matter.
No one is as detail-oriented or people-centered as this incredible woman. She made me feel absolutely gorgeous, made my husband actually like himself in photos and made everyone in our wedding party feel amazing. She's taken what was the happiest day of our lives and captured every single beautiful moment in overwhelmingly gorgeous clarity. Our gallery looks like an Oscar-winning movie. (Not even kidding.) ng said, I spent more time than I'd like to admit researching photographers. After looking through dozens with my fiance, we kept coming back to Erika. Something about her work kept sticking out to us and was hard to forget. After having our engagement session with her I now understand what that something was. Her work captures REAL moments. Not posed pictures, but real interactions and feelings, something that you can't fake. I had envisioned a sunset beach shoot for our engagement photos but the Wisconsin fall weather didn't cooperate. Somehow she made the gloomy, literally raining on us day look amazing! She had great ideas for when it really started down pouring (cozy cabin pictures!) that ended up being some of our favorites! We hired a photographer to snap some shots of our families and friends, both formally and informally, but just six months before, that photographer notified us of an unexpected move, which would keep her from working with us. We had looked at and spoken with a number of photographers in the Milwaukee area that we weren’t completely satisfied with so we were unsure as to what to do. Thankfully we came across Erika’s work on Junebug Weddings, and thankfully she was still available! Immediately upon connecting with her, we recognized Erika’s warmth, professionalism, and passion. Living in New York, it became tricky to find a time to meet in person, but lucky for us, Erika generously drove to Milwaukee to meet with us for a half hour the one weekend we were home to connect and put on a playful engagement shoot. We knew we had made the right decision because she made us feel unbelievably comfortable and kept us continuously laughing. Those shots were beautiful, and so us; a close friend of mine said she had never seen such authentic engagement shots - what a testament to Erika’s work! In the end, we couldn’t be more grateful for Erika. The images from our celebratory day are absolutely stunning. They hold such joy and truth. We will forever cherish the shots of the two of us and the shots that so beautifully captured our space and the people we love who inhabited it.
