We hired DJ Aumir for our 3 day destination wedding in Mexico. He worked closely with us to understand our music choice and did a fantastic job putting it together and keeping the dance floor going throughout the events. He was particularly great in finding good transitions between Hindi and English music given we wanted a mix of the 2. Aside from that, he was also extremely diligent in terms of showing up the events well ahead of time to make sure everything was in order. The guests really liked him and his music choice as well and we wouldn't hesitate in recommending him to any of our friends for their Wedding.

We found Escape Entertainment through one of my cousins, who had used DJ Aumir for her reception. By far the best choice that we could have made, because he and his team were amazing! From our initial meeting with Aumir, he was the utmost professional. He had asked us what type of music we were into and took time out of his schedule to provide us a 15-minute DJ set that he had compiled. We were able to see his transitions, choice of music, and his creative ability on the fly (which we completely vibed with- Hip Hop/Reggaeton/Fusion mixes). Our wedding was initially planned for October 2020 and due to the COVID pandemic, we had to push the wedding to July 2021. Aumir could not have been more understanding and flexible, unlike other horror stories that couples had to go through. Throughout the planning process and constant changes, Aumir kept constant communication, provided crucial guidance (such as reception itinerary, logistics and overall timeline), ensured that he understood our expectations for the event, and most importantly, gave quality feedback to allow us to make informed decisions for our wedding weekend. He was so knowledgeable in regards to all the different types of music that we loved, he had many great recommendations, and most of all he was honest on what would work and what wouldn't. As our wedding weekend approached, Aumir and his team made constant site visits to our venue to ensure the infrastructure and logistics were in working condition, and to guarantee the event would go without a hitch. The wedding day itself could not have gone better, mostly due to Aumir and his team. We had a Baraat (Indian Groom ceremony) in the morning and Aumir was there early, had the dhol player and the truck with speakers set up, and had the crowd rocking for our entrance. For the reception, the one word that sums Escape Entertainment – flawless. Aumir and Naveen, played hit after hit, for both cocktail hour/dinner and the dance floor. Additionally, Aumir ensured that we were following the itinerary and kept us on schedule to allow us to thoroughly enjoy the evening. He also made sure that he played all of our must have songs (while we were actually on the dance floor), and he had such a great way of ensuring that all of that music blended together so there was never a drop in energy which was our number one priority. The dance floor was packed all night, hyped and just great energy all around. Our music selection legitimately had the best blend of hip-hop classic’s (spanning from the 90’s to 2020’s), reggaeton hits, and his own fusion mixes with different genres that just fired on all cylinders! We would highly recommend Escape Entertainment for any couple looking for a wedding DJ, and not just for South Asian weddings. Aumir and his team truly care for their clients and our wedding weekend was absolute proof of their dedication and hard work coming to fruition.

From the first day we started working with Aumir and Escape Entertainment, we knew the music at our events was going to be exactly what we wanted. What we did not know was how kind, professional, and dedicated Aumir would be! Music was the most important part of the wedding for me and so finding a DJ that got excited about music and was willing to work with my eclectic taste was very important to me. Aumir was just that. We had multiple meetings in which he came over to our home for 2-3 hours to go through different playlists, "must plays", "do not plays", etc. Since Aumir is experienced at what he does, he was able to really help us create an itinerary as well. After every conversation and meeting with Aumir, I not only got more excited about the music, but I just felt more calm about the entire wedding planning process because he was able to give us very useful advice and help us organize things. As expected, the music was absolutely fire! My family could not stop talking about the Baraat and my friends couldn't stop talking about the Reception. Aumir totally catered to what we wanted to hear and his mixes and transitions had people coming up to us all night telling us how great the DJ was. Even our other vendors, including coordinators, told us how much they loved working with Aumir! Aumir and Escape Entertainment were able to provide awesome lighting, Dholi, and had connections to provide many other entertainment options! Do yourself a favor, do your dancing feet a favor, do your friends and family a favor - hire Escape Entertainment for your wedding! The party won't stop, the music will be amazing, and people will have a fun time!

My wife and I hired Aumir for our mehndi and wedding. He did an incredible job. For the mehndi we loved his ability to blend Desi music with hip hop music. This kept all of our guests on the dance floor for both the mehndi and wedding. Aumir also did a great job of communicating with us before both events. He made sure he incorporated all of our favorite songs. I would definitely recommend for all events.

DJ Aumir is the best DJ in Chicagoland area! I hired him 7yrs ago for my wedding and till this day I have people ask me who DJ my wedding because it was that memorable. My sister got married this year and I knew her wedding would not be complete if we did not have Aumir DJ! He was the best vendor to work with during the wedding. He is very professional and will listen to all your request and demands. Aumir is a DJ who will give his 110% during your wedding! He arrives to the hall before any other vendor to make sure his speaker system is set up and everything goes smoothly during the event! He stays till the end to ask you how you enjoyed everything and to make sure you were satisfied with his work. I have never worked another vendor that will go out of their to make a client happy. If you’re looking for a DJ I would hire him before he gets booked!

The two features of a wedding (especially an Indian one) guests should remember forever are the music and the food. DJ Aumir made sure that our events would memorable. Simply put, he is the absolute best. From the first call I scheduled with Aumir I knew he is the right DJ for my events. I had three events on consecutive nights, and wanted a different vibe for each one. As soon as I explained what I was envisioning, Aumir knew exactly what I needed. He walked me through a game plan for each night, laying out various options that I would be interested in, and did not try to sell me on stuff I wouldn’t need. He has excellent rapport and connections with numerous live musicians. He got us a tabla player for the Mehndi (henna party) and a pianist and tabla player for the reception. The best part of the live music was how incredibly well he synced with them. They played off of each other’s energy and really kept the guests engaged all night. I have a pretty conservative Muslim family. HE GOT THEM ALL HYPED AND ON THE DANCE FLOOR. It reached the point where there were so many people on the dance floor that it ended up being too small! I also asked Aumir to coordinate and manage the schedule of events. Thanks to him, everything occurred on time and went off without a hitch! It has been two months since my wedding and guests are still telling me that these were the best wedding events they’ve attended. I’m always humbled to hear this because, truly, the credit goes to my fantastic vendors—particularly Aumir. I honestly cannot recommend Aumir enough and very highly recommend him. If you want somebody who takes pride and ownership of the product they put out, is truly talented, and invests everything into his craft, Aumir is that guy. Take your wedding to the next level. DJ Aumir was absolutely amazing! We had no clue about the wedding reception process and he kindly advised us through the whole thing. He seamlessly created the best Indian-American fusion playlist. We wanted him to play older American songs mixed with current American music fused with Indian Bollywood songs and the result was amazing! Each song transitioned smoothly to the next, it never felt off or forced. Each song was perfectly timed where you got to enjoy the song enough to dance and then he would move onto the next song. He literally played hit after hit. My friends were telling me that they've never been to a wedding where so many people stayed on the dance floor and how amazing our DJ was! We went to three weddings right after ours and my siblings and I keep saying how Aumir was legit the best!

We were fortunate enough to have Aumir, Saagar and Naveen for our wedding in Phoenix. It was absolutely amazing! We had most of our family and friends from NYC/LA who came in with high expectations from other weddings. Every guest I talked to said that this was some of the best music they had ever heard at an Indian event. Starting from the beginning, Aumir played an incredibly active role in helping carve out the vision for all of our events. He was very detail oriented and worked with all of our vendors. This was especially challenge since he was coming from out of town, but he made the process very seamless. My wife and I are a mix of Gujarati, North Indian and Tamil. Needless to say, getting everyone excited about the music was a tough task. Aumir, Saagar and Naveen, did an amazing job for both days. The mixed in garba, bhangra, bollywood and western music without missing a beat. Their music and lighting vision helped create distinct themes for our Sangeet, Wedding/Baraat and the reception. Saagar was an incredible talent. His dhol skills are second to none. He was always out on the dance floor energizing the crowd. His ability to blend in the with the music without being too overbearing is just amazing. He even helped out at the last minute in a pinch for our vidhi. Lastly, during the reception, they did an amazing job at dinner with Saagar fusing together his tabla with the DJ music. Simply put, this was one of the best choices we made and could not be more thrilled with our decision!

Hiring Aumir to DJ my mehndi was one of the best decisions I made throughout my wedding planning. I initially met him at a wedding expo and instantly fell in love with his music. He was very communicative throughout the entire process and met with me a few times to learn more about what type of ambiance I was going for as well as how the night would play out musically. He did not disappoint. Many of our guests had great things to say about him! He made sure we danced the night away and made our mehndi night so memorable! Would highly recommend!

This was the best decision we made! Dj Aumir was so easy to work with. He met with us before our events, got to know us, our music preferences, and even took the time to ask questions about the guests (age, music preferences, etc.). I would recommend him for your events. Don't even shop around, he is the best DJ out there!

We hired DJ Aumir to be our reception DJ on Saturday, June 30th, 2018. He was simply excellent! He met with us a few times before the wedding so he could understand the kind of music we wanted played throughout the event. We were also able to run through the entire timeline with him. The first important thing for us to make sure that we actually get along well, which we did. He is also very personable and we made great conversation with him, felt like we got along and he understood what we were looking for very well. We were looking for a DJ that could play, English, Hindi, Spanish and some middle-eastern music. DJ Aumir fit that bill as he was able to execute on all those requirements. On the day of the reception, he had an amazing set up, even better than we had expected. The lights were mounted high and the speakers were huge and very effective. He did such an amazing job, especially when the dance floor opened up, that he was able to keep our guests, young and old, on the dance floor till the end of the night. We had a TON of people (including vendors) tell us that our DJ was amazing! We danced our feet off, until we were shut the place down! We were looking for a DJ to keep our guests dancing all night long and couldn’t have picked a better DJ than DJ Aumir.

We had Aumir DJ our sangeet and reception nights three weeks ago and we are still having guests rave about him! We met with him in person several months out and he took the time to walk us through all the details, offered helpful suggestions, and was very considerate and willing to work with our vision. He also created a personalized mix for us with some songs we selected to hear his style and we knew he would deliver based on this initial interaction. Not only did he deliver but he went beyond our expectations - he kept the dance floor crowded both nights with the perfect fusion of Bollywood and Western songs (about a third of our guests were non- South Asian and everyone was on the dance floor at the same time). Aumir was reading and reacting to our guests and ourselves and he we can't express how happy we are that we chose him to DJ our wedding weekend. We also hired Saagar, a tabla player recommended by him, for the sangeet and they were so in sync it was amazing - all the guests absolutely loved them. He even complemented the English songs blending everything in perfect harmony. Of all our vendors, these guys were definitely worth every penny. They have so much talent and are so kind and humble - a rare combination and an absolute must hire to make your sangeet/wedding a memorable one!!

Aumir DJ’d at a friends wedding and we really loved the music all night. So, when it came time to find a DJ for our wedding, only DJ Aumir came to mind! Aumir went above and beyond in making sure the lighting, music, room acoustics, timing and overall vibe was exactly the way we envisioned it. He even worked worked us to mix my bridal entrance, our first dance mix and helped us get the perfect dholi for my husbands entrance. He put in so much thought and effort in everything and really blew our friends and family away with the music for both the Sangeet and wedding reception night. Our dance floor was bumping all night long and it was such a joy to see all my family and friends have so much fun and dance the night away. We couldn’t recommend DJ Aumir more!!!

One word- WOW! DJ Aumir you outdid yourself! My husband and I recently used DJ Aumir for our wedding reception at the Chicago Illuminating Company. From the beginning Aumir was easy to communicate with, understood our vibe we wanted for our wedding, and was very professional the entire process. From picking songs, to editing first dances, to working on a timeline to make sure our reception was flawless- Aumir nailed it! Aumir did an oustanding job of keeping us on schedule during our reception, communicating with us if anything was needed, and most importantly kept the party going! I am Mexican and my husband is Ukrainian, so to keep such a diverse crowd dancing all night is not an easy task. Aumir did a fantastic job of feeling out the vibe of the dance floor the entire night and changing the music (if needed) to keep the dance floor packed. Aumir did such a great job I actually had a BOKA catering company Bartender tell me this was one of the best weddings he has seen in a long time. I would 1000% recommend DJ Aumir for your next event or wedding. You will NOT be disappointed and your feet will sure be hurting at the end of the night :)

We had DJ Aumir for two events, our mehendi and for our wedding reception! Honestly it was one of the best decisions we made! Normally whenever I went to desi weddings, I wouldn’t see many people on the dance floor besides immediate family and close relatives. That was definitely not the case and both our families do not dance at all! To my surprise, EVERYONE was on the dance floor having the time of their lives on both days! He played a great mix of desi and hip hop/pop/etc! Aumir knew how to keep the tempo going and he totally killed it! We had the best time and we honestly got so many compliments about the DJ! Even the entrances were done so flawlessly! The transitions between songs were seamless! If he received odd song requests that didn’t go with the vibe, he would ask us if we wanted to play it anyways and we appreciated that! When we were trying to figure out a budget of the wedding, we didn’t know quite how much a DJ costs. It is expensive, but I can say it’s 100% worth every penny! He was really patient with us and didn’t need that much direction from us which was nice because wedding planning is overwhelming! Thank you Aumir for making our wedding so memorable!

We had Aumir as our DJ at our wedding a couple months back and I can't even describe what a great decision that was. During one of our events, there was a miscommunication and the dance performance that we had scheduled never got a mixed tape made. Even though we thought that was going to be the end of that, Aumir worked some quick magic and managed to make the performance happen. For the wedding he was very organized making sure our entrance was flawless and the whole event went just as planned! I can't tell you the number of people that asked us for his information!

DJ Aumir is awesome! He DJ’d at my wedding festivities a few months ago and we had a great time with him as our DJ. The vibe was perfect for what we were going for. Its a matter of great pleasure writing this review for Escape Entertainment. We had requested Aumir to play at my brothers wedding recently and he has done a marvellous job. Besides that, the venue would have lacked that touch of elegance and sophistication without their expertise in the lighting. Thanks to him and others who were deeply involved with the planning and execution, the event turned out absolutely perfect. Speaking of Aumir, he was thoroughly professional, and prompt in his response. He was patient and complied to all our requests. He was just as involved with the planning of the event as the rest of us. His ability to officially host the event was commendable. In the end I will conclude by saying Escape Entertainments did justice to our event and it was money well spent. We would gladly hire them again for our future events.

We had the pleasure of meeting Aumir from Escape Entertainment in September 2017 at a friend's wedding. We loved the variety of music from 90s to today's hits to Indian music so much that we asked his availability for our wedding in May 2018. We had a blast at our wedding and a lot of the fun times were surrounded by all of our family and friends dancing the nights away at our Friday night event (Sangeet) and our Saturday night reception. In addition, Aumir was down to earth and catered to the crowd and us very easily. The music played reflected us!

I had the pleasure of working with Escape Entertainment for my brother's wedding festivities. They were awesome! Since the moment I booked them for the mehndi, shaadi and valima they were nothing but professional and courteous. They were incredibly organized and on time to every single event. Any questions I had were promptly answered by Aumir. I received many compliments about the DJs, tabla and dhol player from the guests who thought they were amazing. I had also hired Escape Entertainment to provide the room lighting for the valima reception and it was beautiful! It was money well spent because it made the hall and decorations look 10 times better. The cool thing about the lighting was that the colors of the lights were able to be changed throughout the night by one control system. We had a different color theme for the entrance, dinner and dancing. I also received a lot of compliments on the lighting. It was a pleasure to work with Escape Entertainment. I have already hired them for all of my other family events. I look forward to working with them again.
