Dave was fantastic to work with! He was super responsive to emails, and he took the time to make sure our music was just what we wanted. He was able to get all of the songs that we requested, even those that weren't available in his (very extensive) portal. The planning process was organized and straightforward, and Dave worked with us to trim our first dance and parent dance songs down to reasonable lengths seamlessly. We had a couple of day-of changes in terms of not doing specific dances, and Dave adjusted on the fly. He also provided the microphone/amplification for the ceremony, which worked perfectly. Dave Holmes did an amazing job as the DJ at our wedding. We live out of state so all the planning leading up to the wedding had to be done over the phone. He made it very easy to communicate leading up to the wedding and was very detailed as we talked through the events of the wedding day. We only gave him a few song recommendations beforehand, and he filled the rest of the night with great music that had everyone dancing for hours. I would highly recommend Dave to anyone who is looking for a DJ.

David and his team did a wonderful job helping us make our wedding reception extra special. He served as an outstanding master of ceremonies throughout the reception and helped us with planning every step of the way. The music selection was very broad and we were able to select songs for every preference, especially for dancing! He led us off with songs for the wedding ceremony and easily transitioned to happy hour and then the reception. He worked seamlessly with our wedding planner and photographers to make sure everything progressed without delay. The sound and light quality was exceptional and we definitely got our money's worth. We had Dave Holmes as our DJ during our wedding in late March. First, he is very caring. Based on the questions he asked and how much he prepared before we met up, we know he wants to make sure that our wedding day run smoothly, and he did everything on his end to make that possible. He went through every single song we wanted to play during the ceremony and dance to make sure it is the version of the music we want. Second, he is very professional. During the meeting, he mentioned about all the possible problems we might run into the day of and talked about ways to solve them. He made sure he knows how to pronounce all the names. Poppy's is such a great alternative to the traditional way of obtaining floral arrangements. After looking at some local florist shops, I decided to see if there were other options to get affordable flowers (no hate on them just couldn't personally justify their prices)! Although they were based in CA (while I'm on the East Coast) and seeing that I would not see my final flowers until the wedding day, I became slightly skeptical. However, after our initial Zoom meetings and seeing other reviews, I knew that I could trust them. Their estimates were so transparent, and I loved how customizable their packages were- not to mention the choices I had for arrangements! I loved receiving the updates from them and our coordinator who set up our flowers did such a lovely job! I highly recommend this route as I saved SO much money and got even better arrangements than I could have imagined.

Event Entertainment (and more specifically, Dave Holmes and his assistant) did an incredible job at our wedding! We have been to some weddings where the DJ’s playlist selection was questionable, which fragmented the dance floor experience. Selecting a great DJ was a top priority for us. After reaching out to Event Entertainment, we quickly got a response from Dave Holmes who had our date available. From our first phone call, Dave gave us confidence that he has the experience to keep the party going and read the crowd. Event Entertainment had a great website where you could list the songs that you wanted played for the important moments of your ceremony/reception. This template really helped us think about the major moments of our big day and helped the discussion with Dave as our wedding date approached. He used this form to really solidify the music plan for the day. We even had a choreographed first dance where we wanted him to fade the song at a specific moment and he seamlessly made it happen. Dave executed the event perfectly and helped make our wedding day special. We even surveyed some of our close friends to see what they thought and they loved how he ran the music.

Dave was so wonderful for our special day! Throughout the whole wedding planning process, he worked so diligently to make sure our day was just as we would like. Before our wedding, Dave met with me to talk through all our details. He even spliced together two songs for our father daughter dance! He went the extra mile to make our day awesome! Rob and Dave were great to work with. They were very professional and prompt. They were organized in planning our event. Rob was great at creating an engaging environment and coordinating people in photos without intruding into the event. He was able to capture the important moments while remaining in the background. He also had a great sense of humor through such a long day. Dave was able to determine our wants and keep a great vibe through the entire reception. He was attentive to the type of music that we wanted and was great about trying to plan ahead so that we get all of our requests in.

Event Entertainment was the best company to hire for our DJ needs. Not only did we use them for music and entertainment, we used them for our photobooth too. Dave was amazing and super friendly. He met with us before the wedding to go over our songs and was even able to help us find the version of our first dance song that was incredibly hard to find. After the wedding was over, my husband and I received a package in the mail from Event Entertainment and it was a short video of our wedding/reception. I didn't even know that Dave had been recording any of it and it was best little video we have! You must hire Event Entertainment, you will not regret it!

We worked with Dave Holmes for our wedding and were so happy with his service! My husband and I were searched for a while to find the perfect DJ for our wedding. Dave was a perfect fit. The Venn Diagram of our wedding styles was LGBT (we are a same sex couple), top pop, Caribbean (my husband is from PR), classic dance hits, and a slight mix of sci-fi. Dave had experience in all of these styles (gay weddings, sci fi, latino, and a mix of regular top pop dance music). He balanced the music with the rotating events of the wedding (entering with some pensive Battlestar Galactica and exiting with some Star Wars), the cocktail hour, and the reception (opening with Conga and ending with Sweet Caroline). He blended our different styles into one seamless experience. He sent us a website that linked to a music database where we could populate the songs that we found interesting as well as adding in a few random songs that he may not have in his portfolio (which was extensive). After finalizing our list, we had a pre-wedding meeting with Dave where we discussed our musical/audio expectations and finalized the plan for the night. Dave was amazingly helpful and gave us advice on which songs would be perfect (quiet, somber, exciting, dance, etc) for different parts of our night. It was a huge success and we were very pleased with Dave. Dave was there for us whenever we needed anything. He even surprised us with a video of the event as a gift to the couple. I would highly recommend Dave to our LGBT friends and family looking for a wedding DJ.

Dave was really easy to get in contact with and connected me to one of the DJs that work for him, DJ Brandon. We had a 2 day-bi cultural wedding and DJ Brandon was able to accommodate our needs for both cultures and weddings! DJ Brandon is extremely warm, genuine and professional and was able to capture the exact atmosphere we were going for both days of our wedding. He has an extensive library of music ranging from throwbacks to contemporary music spanning several genres including South Asian music, which was needed for our wedding. Music he did not have he easily acquired and he played exactly what we asked for day of. On top of music, he was a wonderful MC during speeches to keep the evening moving a long efficiently and we really appreciated how much he checked in on us during throughout the evenings to make sure we had what we needed! DJ Dave was the absolute best and top notch customer service. I was seriously behind the ball with planning who to get for a DJ and he told me to take my take and he'd reserve the date anyway for me while I made a decision. Super quick responses too! We were fortunate enough to have Dave Holmes from Event Entertainment recommended to us for our wedding. We started by browsing the typical vendor list that the venue provides, but we are so thankful we came across Dave's name through a friend. Dave met with us both prior to the wedding and eased all of our uncertainties about the flow of our reception. He was very professional, easy to talk to and responsive. He wanted to make sure he accommodated all of our needs and you could tell he wanted to get to know us and prepare for the day! The online portal allowed us to request songs, create a do not play list, etc. It also had lists of song ideas organized by different categories which was very helpful. Dave had all of our music, even one Christian song we weren't expecting he would have for our first dance! One of the best things about our experience was that it ran so smooth and we could tell Dave had a great way of making sure all of the vendors (photographer, videographer, floor manager etc.) were in the loop and on track. We didn't hire a day of coordinator for our reception, but we didn't need one. Dave took cues, was flexible and made sure all of our guests were having good time and that our vendors could get what they needed as well. Once the music started and guests warmed up, the dancing did not stop! We had so much fun and would definitely recommend Dj Dave Holmes!!

My husband and I hired Event Entertainment for our wedding in June of 2019. Needless to say, we were overwhelmed with what a great choice that was. Dave met us a couple weeks before the wedding to get to know exactly what we were hoping for on our wedding day in regards to DJ services. There was never an interruption in the music and festivities. The sound equipment was perfect. When it was time to start dancing, Dave matched the music to every mood, from perfect dinner music to the best dancing. Everyone danced the whole night. He even had us do a conga line and brought tambourines and sombreros, which were an overwhelming hit. (We had asked Dave to do this from the beginning). Just had our wedding last Friday with DJ Johnny, who is bilingual (husband's family speaks Spanish). The beginning of the planning process was a breeze! We were given access to a personal website where we could create the timeline for our reception and select songs for the specific parts like the first dance, speeches, garter toss, etc. If there were songs I didn't see on their list, I was simply able to send a message and they obtained and played them at our reception. The variety of songs was top notch! There were many moments where all of the seats in the room were empty because everyone was on the dance floor - exactly what we wanted! I would recommend Event Entertainment to anyone looking for a stellar DJ at an affordable price.

Amazing!! I booked Dj Brandon through Event entertainment and he was great!!! From the consultation to meeting right before the wedding to finalize things to the actual wedding, he was phenomenal!!! He even brought us waters during the hot day!! He was so professional and the night went sooo well!! The music was great! The dance floor was great! I can't say enough good things!!!

Dj Dave was very good. He met with us on the phone before hand and confirmed our songs and pronunciation of names. He made us feel really comfortable that he had everything under control. The day of the wedding he provided great music for the ceremony and reception. Our guests were on the dance floor the whole time and had a blast. After the wedding he sent us a video about our day too! It was so thoughtful and great since I did not get to see the parents and bridal party entrances. I was able to see them in the video he sent. He was great and would recommend others to hire him!

We considered Event Entertainment for our DJ services based on a friend's recommendation. After reading several online reviews and watching videos on their website, we decided to book them for our October wedding in Taneytown, MD. We made sure to specifically request DJ Dave Holmes, and it ended up being the best decision ever. Throughout the planning process, DJ Dave was extremely professional and responsive. We especially loved Event Entertainment's planning website, which ensured that we were all on the same page regarding song preferences, reception logistics, etc. About a month before the wedding, we met with Dave in person to finalize any last-minute details and go over things like name pronunciations. During the reception, Dave was an excellent MC...he said just enough without distracting from the main events. Once our guests made it to the dance floor after dinner, nobody left. Dave really knows how to keep the party going and feel out a crowd. Several guests told us that they were planning to take a break to get another drink or use the restroom, but as soon as one good song ended, another good song started, and they didn't want to leave! Other guests have told us that Dave was the best DJ they've ever seen at a wedding. And we agree! Dave Holmes with Event Entertainment is a great DJ for a great value.

I cannot thank Event Entertainment enough for all of their hard-work for my wedding on July 16, 2016. DJ Dave Holmes was AMAZING! He met with my husband and I before the wedding to go over all the details! He wanted to make sure that he had everything correct before the day of. We weren't exactly sure of what music to play during the ceremony, but Dave had a whole bunch of ideas to help us decide! We also decided to use their photography and photo booth services. These services were just as exceptional as the DJ service!! Rob was our photographer and he was just outstanding! Very professional, but very relaxed at the same time! He took AMAZING pictures! The photo booth was a BIG hit with my family. They loved all the props and the fact that everyone got their own copy of the pictures. Dave even took a video of the wedding which was GREAT because I didn't even think of that. I received a CD with all of the photo booth pictures and the photographers pictures. I also received a DVD of the video that was made! I enjoy each and every picture. My day was captured perfectly and I am so happy that I had Event Entertainment there to help make my special day perfect!!

Dave Holmes, there's just no words to describe how awesome our wedding was. We booked Event Entertainment and had the owner, Dave Holmes, as our DJ. We were very impressed with Dave! He met with us the week before to make sure we had everything set. He also handled our ceremony music, which was perfect. My husband wrote and recorded a song for my processional, and Dave was able to use that track for the wedding. We left the decision making on a lot of the reception music up to his judgement and he did not disappoint. Everyone was up dancing as soon as dinner was over and there was never that awkward moment where everyone leaves the dance floor. I would highly recommend Event Entertainment! I thought the price was reasonable as well!

We met Dave Holmes from Event Entertainment at a bridal show held at our wedding venue. From the start, we could tell Dave was very experienced with weddings and party events. Dave was very reassuring during our planning meetings and made us feel like he would keep everything under control during our special day; and he delivered. Sound levels were great and everyone could hear the music without it blasting over everyone’s conversation. We gave Dave a music playlist of songs we wanted to hear and he did a great job or playing our favorites while also incorporating some of the latest hit wedding songs that would really pump up the crowd. He also incorporated some mixes he made that were fantastic! Once the dancing started, it never stopped and everyone had such a great time. We had a few guests with odd requests, Dave handled each request professionally and made sure not to play anything that wouldn't have mixed with the vibe. Dave also made a video of our reception and shared it with us, it was so much fun to watch and we really appreciate that he helped us to preserve those memories..
