We had Dave Holmes as our DJ during our wedding in late March. First, he is very caring. Based on the questions he asked and how much he prepared before we met up, we know he wants to make sure that our wedding day run smoothly, and he did everything on his end to make that possible. He went through every single song we wanted to play during the ceremony and dance to make sure it is the version of the music we want. Second, he is very professional. During the meeting, he mentioned about all the possible problems we might run into the day of and talked about ways to solve them. He made sure he knows how to pronounce all the names. It is without doubt, Dave is very experienced and knows what he is doing. We are very relieved and confident after meeting with him. Thank you, Dave for all your hard work to make our day special!

Poppy's is such a great alternative to the traditional way of obtaining floral arrangements. After looking at some local florist shops, I decided to see if there were other options to get affordable flowers (no hate on them just couldn't personally justify their prices)! Although they were based in CA (while I'm on the East Coast) and seeing that I would not see my final flowers until the wedding day, I became slightly skeptical. However, after our initial Zoom meetings and seeing other reviews, I knew that I could trust them. Their estimates were so transparent, and I loved how customizable their packages were- not to mention the choices I had for arrangements! I loved receiving the updates from them and our coordinator who set up our flowers did such a lovely job! I highly recommend this route as I saved SO much money and got even better arrangements than I could have imagined.

Event Entertainment (and more specifically, Dave Holmes and his assistant) did an incredible job at our wedding! We have been to some weddings where the DJ’s playlist selection was questionable, which fragmented the dance floor experience. Selecting a great DJ was a top priority for us. After reaching out to Event Entertainment, we quickly got a response from Dave Holmes who had our date available. From our first phone call, Dave gave us confidence that he has the experience to keep the party going and read the crowd. Event Entertainment had a great website where you could list the songs that you wanted played for the important moments of your ceremony/reception. This template really helped us think about the major moments of our big day and helped the discussion with Dave as our wedding date approached. He used this form to really solidify the music plan for the day. We even had a choreographed first dance where we wanted him to fade the song at a specific moment and he seamlessly made it happen. Dave executed the event perfectly and helped make our wedding day special. We even surveyed some of our close friends to see what they thought and they loved how he ran the music.

Dave was so wonderful for our special day! Throughout the whole wedding planning process, he worked so diligently to make sure our day was just as we would like. Before our wedding, Dave met with me to talk through all our details. He even spliced together two songs for our father daughter dance! He went the extra mile to make our day awesome! So thankful we chose Dave for our big day!

Rob and Dave were great to work with. They were very professional and prompt. They were organized in planning our event. Rob was great at creating an engaging environment and coordinating people in photos without intruding into the event. He was able to capture the important moments while remaining in the background. He also had a great sense of humor through such a long day. Dave was able to determine our wants and keep a great vibe through the entire reception. He was attentive to the type of music that we wanted and was great about trying to plan ahead so that we get all of our requests in.

Event Entertainment was the best company to hire for our DJ needs. Not only did we use them for music and entertainment, we used them for our photobooth too. Dave was amazing and super friendly. He met with us before the wedding to go over our songs and was even able to help us find the version of our first dance song that was incredibly hard to find. After the wedding was over, my husband and I received a package in the mail from Event Entertainment and it was a short video of our wedding/reception. I didn't even know that Dave had been recording any of it and it was best little video we have! You must hire Event Entertainment, you will not regret it!

We worked with Dave Holmes for our wedding and were so happy with his service! My husband and I were searched for a while to find the perfect DJ for our wedding. Dave was a perfect fit. The Venn Diagram of our wedding styles was LGBT (we are a same sex couple), top pop, Caribbean (my husband is from PR), classic dance hits, and a slight mix of sci-fi. Dave had experience in all of these styles (gay weddings, sci fi, latino, and a mix of regular top pop dance music). He balanced the music with the rotating events of the wedding (entering with some pensive Battlestar Galactica and exiting with some Star Wars), the cocktail hour, and the reception (opening with Conga and ending with Sweet Caroline). He blended our different styles into one seamless experience. He sent us a website that linked to a music database where we could populate the songs that we found interesting as well as adding in a few random songs that he may not have in his portfolio (which was extensive). After finalizing our list, we had a pre-wedding meeting with Dave where we discussed our musical/audio expectations and finalized the plan for the night. Dave was amazingly helpful and gave us advice on which songs would be perfect (quiet, somber, exciting, dance, etc) for different parts of our night. It was a huge success and we were very pleased with Dave. Dave was there for us whenever we needed anything. He even surprised us with a video of the event as a gift to the couple. I would highly recommend Dave to our LGBT friends and family looking for a wedding DJ.

Dave was really easy to get in contact with and connected me to one of the DJs that work for him, DJ Brandon. We had a 2 day-bi cultural wedding and DJ Brandon was able to accommodate our needs for both cultures and weddings! DJ Brandon is extremely warm, genuine and professional and was able to capture the exact atmosphere we were going for both days of our wedding. He has an extensive library of music ranging from throwbacks to contemporary music spanning several genres including South Asian music, which was needed for our wedding. Music he did not have he easily acquired and he played exactly what we asked for day of. On top of music, he was a wonderful MC during speeches to keep the evening moving a long efficiently and we really appreciated how much he checked in on us during throughout the evenings to make sure we had what we needed! DJ Dave was the absolute best and top notch customer service. I was seriously behind the ball with planning who to get for a DJ and he told me to take my take and he'd reserve the date anyway for me while I made a decision. Super quick responses too! On the day of the wedding I had zero things to think about since Dave coordinated directly with my venue to make sure all the details were perfect! Highly recommend!!

We were fortunate enough to have Dave Holmes from Event Entertainment recommended to us for our wedding. We started by browsing the typical vendor list that the venue provides, but we are so thankful we came across Dave's name through a friend. Dave met with us both prior to the wedding and eased all of our uncertainties about the flow of our reception. He was very professional, easy to talk to and responsive. He wanted to make sure he accommodated all of our needs and you could tell he wanted to get to know us and prepare for the day! The online portal allowed us to request songs, create a do not play list, etc. It also had lists of song ideas organized by different categories which was very helpful. Dave had all of our music, even one Christian song we weren't expecting he would have for our first dance! One of the best things about our experience was that it ran so smooth and we could tell Dave had a great way of making sure all of the vendors (photographer, videographer, floor manager etc.) were in the loop and on track. We didn't hire a day of coordinator for our reception, but we didn't need one. Dave took cues, was flexible and made sure all of our guests were having good time and that our vendors could get what they needed as well. Once the music started and guests warmed up, the dancing did not stop! We had so much fun and would definitely recommend Dj Dave Holmes!!

My husband and I hired Event Entertainment for our wedding in June of 2019. Needless to say, we were overwhelmed with what a great choice that was. Dave met us a couple weeks before the wedding to get to know exactly what we were hoping for on our wedding day in regards to DJ services. Dave was professional, knowledgeable, and very flexible with our varying requests. On the day of the wedding, Dave arrived early and had everything set up in a very timely manner. There was never an interruption in the music and festivities. The sound equipment was perfect. When it was time to start dancing, Dave matched the music to every mood, from perfect dinner music to the best dancing. Everyone danced the whole night. He even had us do a conga line and brought tambourines and sombreros, which were an overwhelming hit. (We had asked Dave to do this from the beginning). Just had our wedding last Friday with DJ Johnny, who is bilingual (husband's family speaks Spanish). The beginning of the planning process was a breeze! We were given access to a personal website where we could create the timeline for our reception and select songs for the specific parts like the first dance, speeches, garter toss, etc. If there were songs I didn't see on their list, I was simply able to send a message and they obtained and played them at our reception. The variety of songs was top notch! There were many moments where all of the seats in the room were empty because everyone was on the dance floor - exactly what we wanted! I would recommend Event Entertainment to anyone looking for a stellar DJ at an affordable price.

Amazing!! I booked Dj Brandon through Event entertainment and he was great!!! From the consultation to meeting right before the wedding to finalize things to the actual wedding, he was phenomenal!!! He even brought us waters during the hot day!! He was so professional and the night went sooo well!! The music was great! The dance floor was great! I can't say enough good things!!!

Dj Dave was very good. He met with us on the phone before hand and confirmed our songs and pronunciation of names. He made us feel really comfortable that he had everything under control. The day of the wedding he provided great music for the ceremony and reception. Our guests were on the dance floor the whole time and had a blast. After the wedding he sent us a video about our day too! It was so thoughtful and great since I did not get to see the parents and bridal party entrances. I was able to see them in the video he sent. He was great and would recommend others to hire him!

We considered Event Entertainment for our DJ services based on a friend's recommendation. After reading several online reviews and watching videos on their website, we decided to book them for our October wedding in Taneytown, MD. We made sure to specifically request DJ Dave Holmes, and it ended up being the best decision ever. Throughout the planning process, DJ Dave was extremely professional and responsive. We especially loved Event Entertainment's planning website, which ensured that we were all on the same page regarding song preferences, reception logistics, etc. About a month before the wedding, we met with Dave in person to finalize any last-minute details and go over things like name pronunciations. During the reception, Dave was an excellent MC...he said just enough without distracting from the main events. Once our guests made it to the dance floor after dinner, nobody left. Dave really knows how to keep the party going and feel out a crowd. Several guests told us that they were planning to take a break to get another drink or use the restroom, but as soon as one good song ended, another good song started, and they didn't want to leave! Other guests have told us that Dave was the best DJ they've ever seen at a wedding. And we agree! Dave Holmes with Event Entertainment is a great DJ for a great value.

I cannot thank Event Entertainment enough for all of their hard-work for my wedding on July 16, 2016. DJ Dave Holmes was AMAZING! He met with my husband and I before the wedding to go over all the details! He wanted to make sure that he had everything correct before the day of. We weren't exactly sure of what music to play during the ceremony, but Dave had a whole bunch of ideas to help us decide! We also decided to use their photography and photo booth services. These services were just as exceptional as the DJ service!! Rob was our photographer and he was just outstanding! Very professional, but very relaxed at the same time! He took AMAZING pictures! The photo booth was a BIG hit with my family. They loved all the props and the fact that everyone got their own copy of the pictures. Dave even took a video of the wedding which was GREAT because I didn't even think of that. I received a CD with all of the photo booth pictures and the photographers pictures. I also received a DVD of the video that was made! I enjoy each and every picture. My day was captured perfectly and I am so happy that I had Event Entertainment there to help make my special day perfect!!

We booked Event Entertainment and had the owner, Dave Holmes, as our DJ. We were very impressed with Dave! He met with us the week before to make sure we had everything set. He also handled our ceremony music, which was perfect. My husband wrote and recorded a song for my processional, and Dave was able to use that track for the wedding. We left the decision making on a lot of the reception music up to his judgement and he did not disappoint. Everyone was up dancing as soon as dinner was over and there was never that awkward moment where everyone leaves the dance floor. I would highly recommend Event Entertainment! I thought the price was reasonable as well!

We met Dave Holmes from Event Entertainment at a bridal show held at our wedding venue. From the start, we could tell Dave was very experienced with weddings and party events. Dave was very reassuring during our planning meetings and made us feel like he would keep everything under control during our special day; and he delivered. Sound levels were great and everyone could hear the music without it blasting over everyone’s conversation. We gave Dave a music playlist of songs we wanted to hear and he did a great job or playing our favorites while also incorporating some of the latest hit wedding songs that would really pump up the crowd. He also incorporated some mixes he made that were fantastic! Once the dancing started, it never stopped and everyone had such a great time. We had a few guests with odd requests, Dave handled each request professionally and made sure not to play anything that wouldn't have mixed with the vibe. Dave also made a video of our reception and shared it with us, it was so much fun to watch and we really appreciate that he helped us to preserve those memories.. We can not thank Dave enough for his wonderful talent as a DJ and we highly recommend Event Entertainment.

My DJ was Dave Holmes, and he was fantastic! Throughout the planning process he was always very responsive, and helpful. Even when I asked the same question a couple times ("wedding brain" is real!) he never made me feel like I was bothering him. And then the day of, he was everything I could have asked for. And the reception was the fun party we wanted it to be; he played all our songs in the perfect order to get people up and dancing, with perfectly timed slow songs to catch our breath. Mike was my DJ and he was fabulous! We spoke a few times before the reception and he knew exactly what mood I was looking for throughout the night. I am a very particular customer when it comes to music. Knowing that, Mike checked in with me several times throughout the night make sure I was happy. He took reqeusts and was a pleasure to work with. I highly recommend them!

Dave Holmes at Event Entertainment was our DJ. He was FANTASTIC in every way. Dave was very communicative during the planning process, solicited our suggestions about what music we wanted and didn't want and made valuable suggestions. There's a website that we populated which outlined the timeline of the reception and which songs we wanted for each phase. We are not the typical 20-30 something couple. This was a second wedding for both of us. We were both widowed several years ago and have grown children but we chose to have a traditional, formal wedding and reception. Dave played all of the songs we specified and more along those lines and, more importantly, didn't play those songs/type of music we did not want. He is a consummate professional, showed up early, and played up until the very last minute (or longer). To further complicate Dave's job, my daughter, who is in musical theater, sang 4 songs at the ceremony and 5 songs at the reception, and Dave set her and a friend up with microphones and hooked our keyboard up to his sound system. This all happened so smoothly and is not something that all DJs will do. Many of our guests made a point of telling us that the music was the best they've ever heard at a wedding - just the perfect mix and not too loud, but just loud enough! It was just PERFECT! Everyone danced and danced!! Dave made sure everyone had a great time! Dave's wife was his assistant and she made a short video of the wedding/reception which Dave sent to us right after the wedding and then posted it on youtube. It's still there! What a nice surprise and bonus!! Our formal videos won't be available to see for another month so having that video is very special! Thanks, Dave, for making our wedding reception memorable!!

He even surprised my husband and I with a short video montage capturing the special moments of the day, so that we would have something to watch before we received the video from our videographer! We were so excited to see the footage the next day before our honeymoon, and he did it for free and without us even having to ask. He was extremely professional, played great music, and ensured that our reception was all we had hoped for! From the very beginning (of planning on their online site) to the very end (of my wedding), the whole process went very smooth and stress free. Event Entertainment was great! Their online event planning site was very helpful and when I spoke with my DJ, Mike, he was very understanding as to what my husband and I wanted. Our DJ, Mike, was AMAZING!!!! He did a fantastic job of feeling the crowd out to what they would want, he even went around to each table and asked for music requests (I have never seen a DJ do that before), he played guests requests, he kept the dancing going by playing the right music, and he knew exactly when to speak and when not to (as in not giving a play by play of the night, like some DJ's I have seen at weddings). All in all, I have nothing but great things to say about Mike and Event Entertainment!

We chose Dario from Event Entertainment as our DJ and MC. We had some complicated names in the wedding party and he took the time to learn and pronounce them. He did a great job with the ceremony music and reception playlist. His communication prior to the wedding was good and reassuring.

We used DJ Steve Smelser and he was absolutely wonderful. He kept the event running very smoothly. Steve was very laidback and easy to work with. He played a good variety of music, welcomed requests, and played a good portion of the songs we requested. He even replayed a song because my husband was socializing with some guests outside and he had missed one of his favorite songs. Event Entertainment also offers a military discount which was very helpful to us.

I had met Dave at a wedding show and was not able to have him be our DJ, but his co-worker Randy. Randy did an amazing job. He kept the night flowing and there were never any long periods where the dance floor was empty. All our guests had a blast and many said this was the best dj they have seen at a wedding in a while.

The first meeting was for us to all get to know each other and talk about some of the basic details. Our second meeting we came prepared with our top song choices and Steve helped us take care of the rest. We planned out our evening and he helped it all flow smoothly. He let us pick out as many songs as we wanted but then was able to take it from there. We had a great time and so did our guests! Event Entertainment was easy and helpful. They were affordable and provided great service.

Although I was in charge of finding the DJ, my wife and I interviewed with several different people and companies. Then we came across Event Entertainment, who were recommended by another DJ that was booked on our weekend. I left a voicemail for Dave Holmes and he promptly returned my call. I had requested a meeting to see if they would be suitable for our event. We met with DJ Mike and we quickly realized he would be the perfect fit. Out of all the meetings we had, he was the only one that listened to what we wanted-simple and elegant. On the day of the wedding, DJ Mike was truly outstanding. The 2941 Restaurant was our venue. Security at the General Dynamics Building is crazy. As much as they delayed DJ Mike, he didn’t miss a beat. He had everything setup on time outside on the terrace and in the reception area. Thanks to DJ Mike, our guests didn’t even realize the ceremony was late because of a minor glitch on our part. From the introductions, to the first dance, all the way to the last dance, DJ Mike kept the party going. This is what really stood out for us when we reflect on that night. DJ Mike is a true professional. To us, a true professional listens to what you have to say, makes great suggestions when asked and delivers when it counts. During dinner, he kept the music simple and elegant. DJ Mike let me know when songs were requested that were not appropriate. One of the things that we thought were amazing was fact that he always had people dancing, including my 78-year old godfather. We believe he was the reason that we were able to see everyone dance. Overall, our experience with Dave and DJ Mike was truly outstanding and refreshing in an area (D.C.) were customer service is not always excellent. Both were very helpful and accommodating. DJ Mike really made our event. We would use their service again in a heartbeat.

The music, selection, timeing and professionalism was perfect. The only complaint I had was that the DJ was not too good at fading songs. Other than that it was perfect and he honored our specific wishes to the T.

We used one of their DJs, Mike Takacs, for our October 15 wedding. I had requested someone who would be low-key-- not tell a bunch of dumb jokes, for example. Mike was great-- he made all the usual announcements when needed, like when the wedding party came in, when lunch was ready, etc., but he otherwise stayed in the background. He honored all our requests (like no rap), and the majority of songs he played were ones I had specifically chosen. The planning website could be improved so that it is more clear when payments are due, and I felt like I never received a clear contract when I booked their services. But Dave Holmes, the owner, was very responsive to my questions. Everything went well.

I was referred to Dave with Event Entertainment and I am more than happy we chose him!! He played the "must haves" I requested as well as music that fit all ages of our families! Everyone was up and dancing the whole night!! We had classic Italian songs played for our ceremony and they had them all! I was very very pleased with Dave and will definitely use them in the future if needed!!! I would recommend them to anyone!!!

Event Entertainment was a pleasure to work with. DJ Phil was absolutely AMAZING! I would highly recommend him to any bride looking for a DJ that knows how to read the crowd and how to have a good time. We had family members at our wedding dancing the entire night that I have never seen get up and dance before!! DJ Phil made our wedding that much more special and we could not have been happier with his help. THANK YOU EVENT ENTERTAINMENT!!

Dave was our DJ and he was great during the ceremony as far as reading the crowd and making sure me, my parents, and my guests were happy with the music being played. My only critique was that communication wasn't the best, but I"m sure I added to that difficulty as well. It was difficult to get a hold of Dave on the phone, and during our meeting, we forgot to discuss a number of things like whether or not we were saving our top tier of the cake, or an entrance song, and also toasts... so I forgot to tell my MoH and Bm and Father about when they were toasting.... SURPRISE! It all went over well. Overall though, I had a blast and I wouldn't change a thing!

I had Dave Holmes as the DJ for my wedding and he was great. I talked with him a few days before the wedding to go over pronunciations of names and make sure he knew everything I wanted. I gave him the timeline for the events and he made sure everything was on schedule. We all had a great time dancing and the music was good. He even gave us a CD of all the songs he played at the end of the night and made a short video of the highlights of the evening. At the end of the night he told us that he was really sick but no one had any clue. He is a very good DJ and one I would recommend. We already have him booked for my sister's wedding!

Everyone was great! The dj was excellent, he listened to what I wanted to hear and played the majority of the songs on my play list. The owner sat down with me and we talked about how I wanted things done and was very professional the entire time. GREAT COMPANY! HIRE THEM! The reception at the Ritz went off without a problem and the music was excellent. The photographer was good too. Well worth the money! The dj even took an old cassette that my mom had from her teens and put it on a cd for us, fixed the quality of the songs and played them. HE WAS EXCELLENT. Thank you DAVID! He played a lot of Colombian folk music as requested. This is a great company!

Dave Holmes really got everyone up and dancing and involved at the reception! He was a lot of fun!
