Jennifer, our “day of coordinator” hopped on board weeks before the wedding to organize all of the vendors and on the day of the wedding made sure that we could all forget about the details and enjoy every minute. Jenn seemed to be everywhere at once making sure the ceremony site and reception were arranged perfectly as planned while calmly steaming the wedding gown, pinning boutonnieres, and orchestrating a very special first look for the bride and groom. Thank you to Kiersa for having Jenn work her magic for us. The day certainly would not have been so perfect without her.

rtainly isn't your typical wedding venue. However, no feat was too big for Kiersa's team and they helped us make all of our crazy ideas come true. We were able to turn our rustic land into a comfortable, romantic, fun location for three days of events. They helped us navigate everything from a giant tent, to bathrooms, to bringing in electricity, to delicious food service, to bonfires -- all from scratch in the middle of the woods. Their recommendations for musicians, caterers, transportation services, floral designers, trash removal and more were all spot on. And we planned all of this from 500 miles away! Kiersa and her team were always available when we were in town to help us pack in as much planning in an efficient and fun way. When we weren't around Kiersa and her team were always great about communicating with us, keeping us on task, and getting a million things done behind the scenes. Perhaps above all, Kiersa is a delightful human being. Spending time with her was always a pleasure and every single vendor we interacted with mentioned how much they love working with Kiersa. She is always calm, positive, upbeat, and on top of every detail. We trusted her instincts when it came to the best way to approach any problem that came up. She was always able to calm our nerves and guide us to the right decision for us without ever being overbearing or pushy. When it looked like rain was coming for one of our events she said (and meant): "It's up to you and we can do whatever you want," but she ultimately guided to the best decision by far and that night's event turned out so much better than we ever dreamed. She found exactly the items we needed and even stayed behind to set up while we went to our rehearsal dinner. She also took it all down after the wedding so we weren't even charged! The day of the wedding, everything went even more smoothly than I could have imagined. It felt wonderful to sit back and know that everything was running smoothly. She was absolutely fantastic and a wonderful person to work with. I would recommend her over and over again. Honestly, I feel like I didn't pay her enough for everything she did! Her contacts in the area were especially helpful (flowers, sound guys, rental companies, caterer for rehearsal, etc). Sometimes it is hard to let “professionals” handle things you think you are capable of handling but it is the nicest thing to do for yourself AND for your guests to turn over some of the planning. Kiersa helped us with the actual ceremony (who goes when, where people get seated, getting guests to gather) and it turned out beautifully. We also needed guidance and direction on the reception layout (staging chairs and tables, tent location, table decorations, placement of band). She also helped us keep track of our contracts and kept in constant contact with the folks we hired. We had strong opinions on certain parts of the ceremony and reception, of course – and Kiersa respectfully listened. If she had a differing thoughts on what would work best, she told us gently. In the end, we had EXACTLY what we wanted, with the fine tuning of a pro involved. What else more would you want? She will be the new person in your life that you will want to know forever.

She was able to articulate those ideas and dreams, and helped us make them a reality. She kept everyone on track, found the perfect caterer, the ideal venue, and met every challenge ( and we had quite a few challenges - bride and groom living in another part of the country, bride's family traveling to the wedding from overseas, an enchanted forest/medieval/renaissance theme, several people with food allergies, and both families full of engineers, in other words, dealing with people that are very detailed oriented) with charm, wit, patience, and a dedication to the entire family that was amazing. One of the best thing about Kiersa is that she actually listens to her clients and she has a natural friendliness that makes it easy to talk to her. She always returned phone calls and emails quickly, and was extremely flexible when it came to scheduling visits to venues, tastings with the caterer, planning sessions, etc. AND she did all of this while pregnant and then delivering her second child!!! Just totally amazing. I totally credit Kiersa with helping me maintain my sanity throughout the planning and execution of the wedding. We couldn't, and wouldn't have made it without her expertise.

In every aspect of our work with Kiersa Holy - from my first phone conversation with her and Kiersa's first connection with our daughter who was then across the globe . . . all the way through the last moment and detail of the reception and beyond - it was a pleasure. Kiersa was instrumental in transforming our space into the beautiful setting that it was and making sure that everything got set up properly. She truly went above and beyond. I came to rely more and more on Kiersa's expertise as we became mired down in the minutiae involved in the final days of wedding preparation. We received prompt replies to all of our questions, the benefit of her many connections to other vendors, and her discretion in helping to plan a surprise for the bride and groom at the reception. It was a tremendous relief to release details to Kiersa and just enjoy our special day. She had answers to questions we did not think to ask, she was always available, but never obtrusive, and positive even while standing in pouring rain.

They love working with her, and so did we! She was exactly what I needed - someone who could be incredibly organized leading up to the event while remaining cheerful and low stress. She was incredibly helpful with vendor recommendations, making sure we worked with great providers and getting us discounts wherever she could help. She prevented a few minor disasters by finding things that weren't clearly worded in our contracts (renting ovens for the caterer, for instance!). On the day of the wedding, she was a joy. We did an early walk through so she could oversee the set-up. She managed to completely transform the space and keep our families on task and happy. For my husband, one of his favorite parts of the wedding was seeing Kiersa come running down toward us after the ceremony. She was so happy for us she was skipping. It really warmed our hearts that someone we hired professionally could be that enthusiastic about that moment in our lives. Throughout the reception, she was available but discreet. Everything went perfectly and she was easy to find if anyone needed something. When one of our guests had a medical emergency, she was quick to handle the situation. We received MANY compliments afterward about how effective she was. Our guests were able to migrate outside to where the bar was set-up, giving the family and the EMTs enough privacy to work. The entire situation took 15 minutes and couldn't have gone better if we had planned for it. The party continued without a hitch! I can't recommend Kiersa Holy highly enough. Her services were entirely worth her fees, and so much of our wedding success was due to her efforts. Our wedding was a great event for our guests, and thanks to her, it was a great event for my husband and I. We were completely present during the whole event, we had no stress, and we were able to fully enjoy time with our friends and families.

We met several times before, even after, she contacted so many people prior and was there to answer any questions (vendors, settings, lighting etc.) small or large throughout the process. The entire wedding day from start to finish ran unbelievable smooth. Kiersa was there from the early morning to the late evening keeping everything on track. Timing was right on for every detail. Kiersa never missed a beat. If there were any troubles or snags behind the scenes you would have never noticed. Even my sister who has done wedding/event planning for over 15 years will say the same. One of the things I loved the most was that during the day of the wedding she had the perfect balance of knowing how to keep you informed of how everything was shaping up, I knew that things were coming together but I was not overwhelmed with questions or details, so my process of getting ready was stress free! In the beginning stages of planning for our wedding we went to a local wedding show, and I had met several wedding planners. I met with a few, the over bubbly type, had many ideas of their own (that I am not sure were aligned with my vision) and that you feared may crumble under pressure. Kiersa is a gem in her field. She is sweet, caring, breeze to work with. She is organized and knows how to make things happen and get the job done. She is not frazzled easy and she also understands how to let someone else's vision come to life. She will offer you help, suggestions, and advice in how to make your dream wedding come to life, but she will in no way alter that vision with her own ideas. I was sold on Events by Kiersa from the jump. In fact, Kiersa was the only person I talked to. It was 10 or 11 months out from our wedding when we decided on a date and venue. Once we secured the venue, it was important to us to find someone with experience planning events there. We aren't local, and the venue is the kind of place where, it is what you make of it. Chairs, tents, food, etc. all have to be brought in from outside vendors. Planning this alone and from afar was a task too daunting for us. I found Kiersa on the internet, we emailed and then spoke on the phone. She was cool and calm, had plenty of experience with the venue and was full of great ideas. Pretty much, exactly what we were looking for. Her menu of services allows you the option to customize your own package, which is what we did and couldn't have been happier. Throughout the entire process, she was kind and patient. She helped us find amazing vendors, was able to get unexpected discounts, created a timeline for us and even went to the venue on numerous occasions to scout and take measurements. The few days leading up to the wedding she kept us on track, was available to talk about any questions or concerns we had, and dealt with many last minute scrambles due to cold and rainy weather. All with a super positive attitude (you will want this!)! On the actual day, I have no idea how everything got done, but it did. And despite not so fun weather for our outdoor wedding, it was a total success. Our guests had a blast! Thanks, in a big way, to Kiersa and her team. We really felt like they were 100% committed to our event, and we are so appreciative.

some great vendors from Asheville who were willing to travel to the small town where our wedding was held. Kiersa smiled throughout the day, despite the excruciating heat and made sure that every detail that I had wanted was not left untouched. She worked seamlessly with all our vendors- some she had not even worked with before, some she had. And, she worked easily with all the various personalities that were intimately involved in our wedding party, meeting everyone's expectations. Kiersa is wonderful to work with, organized, friendly, and fun!!!

should make so much for just having knowledge that you could easily find on Google. If given more time to plan our wedding, we would have definitely found someone cheaper who would have done the same quality work. But, Kiersa did her job very well and if you have that kind of money sitting around...then by all means hire her. Also, beware DO NOT USE her vendors. The florist we used was a friend of hers and we had issues with the quality of work. Even though Kiersa agreed that the flowers were not up to par she still stood behind her friend. Work and pleasure shouldn’t be mixed. Doesn’t matter if they USUALLY do quality work, they didn’t...crappy work is still crappy work no excuses. She even deleted my wifes comment on face book that was complimenting her but commenting about the florists work. As long as she gets paid doesn’t matter what the end result is.

She has a great nack for finding good vendors even in new locals. And she thought of a lot of elements we would have forgotten if planning things ourselves. We could not have done it without her! Working with Kiersa was an absolute pleasure--she worked with us to make sure our wedding was exactly what we wanted, and then some! She even managed to find us a venue and vendors for a holiday weekend in September, which I thought would've been impossible with not even a year to plan. She is so incredibly well-connected in Asheville and beyond, and through her network we were able to get married at the venue of our dreams--an historic farm that doesn't advertise. She made sure every detail was taken care of on the day of the wedding, stayed late to oversee the cleanup, and I can't tell you how organized she was during the planning. She kept me calm, helped us make decisions, and made us feel like ours was the only wedding she was planning. Plus, she really kept my nose to the grindstone when it came to our budget. Kiersa spent almost an entire weekend with us in the Spring when we came down to choose vendors, and we had so much fun with her. She is so down to earth, but gets things done. Hiring Kiersa was worth every single penny--there were times when I felt like I should've been paying her triple her rate :) I can't recommend her enough!
