I found Floral Lab through the Knot and so thankful that I did. I met the owner Carrie at her store and immediately had a good feeling about her as I started to look at some of the past arrangements she had put together. I discussed my vision and she knew exactly what I was looking for. With her creative background she gave me several suggestions and ideas. Additionally she’s also an event planner so knows how to pull it all together. We kept in touch throughout the months and she went to the venue several times prior to the big day. It was so effortless on my part. The day of I cant even begin to tell you how many compliments I received on the arrangements/ florals. Everyone was blown away! Since we just had it ( Nov 3 at City Winery) she also incorporated an autumn theme along with wine so pumpkins, grapes, corks, bottles. I could go on and on. The flowers were beyond gorgeous. And through this journey she also has become a friend. I cannot wait for another event to take place so I can work with Floral Lab again! Reach out to her as you’ll be very happy!!

Carrie is the Queen of flowers! We met with her to discus our vision and she was a very good listener, offering her suggestions as the discussion moved forward. She even graciously added Mickey Mouse pins to my bouquet as it had been my dream. On wedding day, I had to hold back tears once I saw the amazing work her & the team did. The arrangements were above and beyond anything I imagined and she did it with so much love and eagerness to make us happy. I LOVED it all!!

Carrie, whose incredible intelligence and creativity is sometimes hidden behind her fun and goofy personality, immediately seized upon the opportunity to explore her knowledge of fine art and Netherlandish still life painting. We let her follow her own course and, come our wedding day, we were stunned by how she transformed the venue into a dream world. While we had initially underestimated the importance of flowers for our event, Carrie’s work proved that a talented floral artist can be the soul of the day. At each moment in the process, Carrie and Floral Lab (and her wonderful husband) were responsive, helpful, and supportive. Also qualified as an event planner, Carrie offered us advice on how to expand our staff to maximize the value of her work, and took the time to keep us motivated in ways above the call of duty. While she runs a business very professionally, she also made the experience feel personal in a way that we deeply appreciate. I recommend Floral Lab with all my heart.

As we were envisioning our wedding, my husband and I didn't really pay attention to the flowers. They were seemingly just another task for me to check off my list as soon as possible. Being a bride a third of the way across the country from Boston, I stumbled across Carrie's floral lab through The Knot. I was a little desperate, and I didn't think our small wedding would be of interest to Carrie, but from the very first email interaction we had her kindness and passion were evident. From the very first email, Carrie knew just how to draw our styles and our personalities out, and took an immense amount of time to make sure we loved her vision of the arrangements. She was also an absolute delight (and an immense comfort) when we did the first venue walk-through, as my husband and I were both regretting the venue choice: a historical site where we would be using the mid-century multi-purpose room, which wasn't the most attractive in the daytime. When they pulled us aside during our wedding to sneak into the reception area, I started crying. Carrie's art absolutely took my breath away. She really helped us formulate the style of our wedding when I couldn't even properly articulate it myself. As one guest aptly described: "It was absolutely walking into the vision of what you both wanted". "It is perfect" is something I heard multiple times throughout the night. There is no way I can underscore this enough - Carrie and her team gave my husband and I the wedding of our dreams. She consistently went above and beyond in every regard, and she was an immense help in reducing my pre-wedding anxiety. From researching a period accurate bouquet to adding little individual details on each table, everyone was blown away by her dedication and attention to detail. People constantly commented on the floral art, and it was really the centerpiece to our wedding. We can't express our gratitude enough for having her involved in our wedding.

I had the good fortune of receiving a referral to floral lab from my bridesmaid who has worked with Carrie on several corporate events. Until I sat down with Carrie, flowers were just another thing I was behind on getting done. She really drew a vision out of me by asking all the right questions, listening intently, getting to know my style and our consultation was a really fun bridal moment for me in the midst of wedding stress. The finished product was amazing - the colors were vibrant and the arrangements were unique. She took my budget and produced such thought, creative works of art. Everyone at the wedding commented on how gorgeous the bouquets were. What truly impressed me about Carrie was the level of dedication and attention to detail she put into making something special for me despite the fact that I know that this was a really small project compared to the larger scale luxe weddings she works on. Carrie is truly talented, and her style is unique. She has been a florist for my recent summer wedding (6/30/2018) in Portsmouth, NH. She captured the essence of this beautiful summer day in her flower compositions for the ceremony, cocktail hour and reception. I discovered Carrie Chang’s Floral Lab designs after being upset at a floral vendor that just didn’t bother to get back to me to finalize the contract. The florist just did not care about my business and ignored my emails or phone calls after having an on-site meeting. Thank god that I didn’t go through with that because this was a total blessing in disguise. Out of luck with that florist, I went on Instagram and looked for a Boston Florist and Carrie’s Instagram profile came up for “Best of Boston” award. Looking at her arrangements, I noticed they are extremely creative that fits the client’s ask and taste. The wide range of pieces she put together really stood out to me as a designer because I also aim to be the “Swiss Army Knife” of design. The wide variety of contemporary, classic, whimsical, garden, luxury and the amount of variety, color, and styling really blew me away. I wrote her an email right away and to my surprise, she emailed me back within 15 minutes. Our entire relationship from contract to the wedding day, she responded to me instantaneously, with speed and enthusiasm. Her hardworking dedication in updating me throughout the process really set her apart from the other vendors. A few days before the wedding day, she sent me a bunch of photos for a preview and I was blown away by the flowers. From the floral mockup to the final design, wow!!! I never imagined the flowers could be that nice. It’s the nicest flowers I’ve ever had in my life. Carrie is not just a vendor, she was a partner with me throughout my wedding planning. She treated me like a friend/family, with her warm smile and funny jokes. She goes above and beyond and works all night to make sure the flowers come out perfect.. and they OBVIOUSLY did. I get non-stop compliments on how good the flowers looked, how fragrant they were, and how amazing they were. Carrie Chang is one vendor I didn’t have to worry about. I knew she was going to hit it out of the ballpark, and her passion and dedication and pours her whole heart into her creations. You won’t find anyone else as dedicated as her in Boston! Carrie is AMAZING! The flowers for my wedding were above and beyond what I even imagined. I was nervous at first, because I had a very specific vision and am very particular, but Carrie totally got it and I almost cried when I saw how perfect and beautiful everything was. All of my guests commented on how the flowers were among the most beautiful they've ever seen at a wedding - and the centerpieces are still fully in bloom now, two weeks later. Carrie/Floral Lab is the best and I highly recommend!

Floral Lab was the only florist that I have met with. Carrie was very helpful during the design process even though we are only ordering the bouquets and boutonnieres from her. She went through all the options with us and she responded to all emails and phone calls very timely. The flowers came out very nicely. A lot of our guests complimented on how unique the style is. We are very happy with the results and would recommend to any brides.

Taking into consideration the fact that the floral budgets for weddings at those venues are typically in the tens of thousands of dollars, the quality of Floral Lab truly stood out. The value of exceptional wedding vendors cannot be understated and Floral Lab exceeded all of our expectations. From the very first consultation we had with Carrie she completely understand the look we wanted to create for our outdoor wedding. Throughout the entire process she was extremely attentive. I chose Floral Lab for our August wedding and I have nothing but amazing things to say about Carrie and her team. Carrie and her team created the most gorgeous centerpieces, bouquets, altar pieces, and overall decor! Carrie and her team are AMAZING. Carrie is very fun and easy to work with. She did the most amazing Flower Curtain as a backdrop to our Cake - it was beautiful, and actually ended up turning into a photo back drop/ fancy photo booth during the wedding- something we didn't expect! The quality of flowers, delicacy in preparing and crafting the perfect bouquets and centerpieces paid off....the Work was outstanding. We had people fighting over who could take the centerpieces home at the end of the wedding! Carrie went above and beyond, the team was extremely organized, prepared, timely, professional, and first class when it came to our experience. Their high profile clients in Boston and experience really showed in the floral designs for our wedding - everything was amazing. We wanted more eclectic designs with a modern feel - and FLoral Lab did exactly that! Even the smaller items (small succulent garden accent, mini fishbowl cocktail table buds) were so meticulously put together and presented so elegantly! Amazing tropical bird of paradise display too! Highly recommend Carrie and her team!! Its was also so fun to go into her studio in Fort Point and work with the team in their element during the planning sessions!

My husband and I could not have picked a better florist for out November 2016 wedding. As soon as we met with Carrie we knew we didn't have to look any further! She is truly an artists who can make any floral dream come true. I wanted a very simple, greenery theme and Carrie knew exactly how to make the vision a reality. Everything she made was understated and elegant --from our chuppah ties to the rosemary lining the aisle. She even added a few florals to the top of our wedding cake since we forgot to have any decoration! We can not recommend her highly enough.

I really can't say enough about Carrie and her team at Floral Lab. As a bride on a budget, I didn't have an endless well of funds to spend on flowers, but Carrie didn't mind. Not only was she understanding of my budget constraints, she made me feel really comfortable when going over costs and plans. She really went above and beyond to make my wedding so beautiful! My wedding was at the end of October and my family and other guests are still talking about the flower displays! Our centerpieces absolutely transformed the room and made our venue look so elegant and enchanting, the welcome table was awe striking, and the wedding-party bouquets and boutineers looked amazing in pictures. She took my crazy jumbled ideas and turned them into a work of art and I was speechless when I saw the end result. Carrie was not only my florist during this process, but she became one of my most trusted confidants. Since you're here reading this review, you clearly know how overwhelming weddings can be, but working with Carrie truly makes it all easier. I can be OCD about plans and decor, but on my wedding day I never stressed because I just kept saying to myself, "Carrie is there setting up, so I know everything will look great" and it did. I would even check in with her throughout the planning process to see what she thought about some of my ideas. She knows the industry and she knows what works and I was so grateful to have had her as a resource. It was so helpful, I don't think I could have done it all without her! She added so much to the venue with her floral designs and ideas. Not only are her pieces so beautiful with all kinds of blooms, the are truly a work of art. Carrie is AMAZING! I can't even begin to describe how talented she is. She is awesome to work with and just wants the day to be the best for you! Carrie did fall-themed floral crowns and centerpieces for my rehearsal dinner and then matched the florals for my wedding for floral combs for my bridesmaids! They were ALL so gorgeous - people could not stop talking about them and how much they loved them! My bride and I chose Floral Lab this past June for our small farm wedding. Carrie took the time to partner with us to make sure every detail aligned with our vision and designed each piece with care. Carrie's designs were perfect and unique. Because the wedding was several hours away we chose to go with Carrie's signature dried flower arrangements. The flowers were beautifully arranged with vibrant colors and materials that added to the rustic feel of our wedding incuding cotton, succulants, and pheasant feathers. Carrie did a beautiful job with our wedding arrangements. I’m not big on frills or fuss, so to be honest I was dreading dealing with flowers. Fortunately Carrie understood and came up with fanciful arrangements using succulents, seasonal fruits and vegetables, foliage, even books and bread, as well as select beautiful flowers. It fit in perfectly with the industrial vibe of our wedding. SO many guests stopped me to remark about how beautiful the arrangements were. It really brought an interesting and unique vibe and helped to create a memorable event.

Carrie did our flowers for our Labor Day wedding this year. We were engaged for two years, and Carrie was an incredible partner the entire time. We were not on a limited flower budget, but we also couldn't spend a fortune because we were having a smaller, 80-person wedding and were trying to be reasonable about expenses. Carrie worked with us to come up with a contract that was perfect for us. Carrie is genuine, honest, and incredibly talented. She creates such versatile designs and puts so much effort into everything she does. She's also really fast at responding to questions and requests, which I really appreciated. We could not have asked for a better florist. Finally, I can't express how much people loved the flowers at our wedding. Although my husband and I and the guests loved everything overall, the one thing that stood out above all else were the flowers. People were absolutely in awe that something could be so beautiful, and I kept getting asked for my florist's contact information. Carrie even threw in an extra tall arrangement in the front room that made my jaw drop, and she did it at no charge because she wanted our wedding to be amazing. If we could give her ten stars, we would do it in a heartbeat.

Carrie is the creator, heart, and soul of Floral Lab. I discovered her design studio on accident, as I was working in the Boston Ft. Point neighborhood during my engagement. From beginning to end, her patience, thoughtfulness, and insight into the process was nothing seamless. She took a huge weight off of my shoulders in knowing she was not just a florist, but also a designer. I designed my intimate wedding off of her ideas and advice. I give my highest recommendation of Carrie Chang and Floral Lab. I booked my Mother's Day weekend wedding with another florist 10 months before my wedding. Suddenly 3 months before, they backed out. I called several other florists who laughed and said they don't do weddings on Mother's Day weekend. I thought this was going to be a disaster and that we were going to have a flowerless wedding until I met Carrie Chang through a friend and realized that it was all a blessing!! With a short timeline and my modest budget, Carrie took my scattered ideas and turned them into a vision which she perfectly executed on wedding day! The 20 centerpieces were exquisite in handmade white birch vases, the place settings each had a sprig of lavender which I later saw several guests wearing 😊, and our bridal bouquets (2 bride wedding) were breathtakingly beautiful--each unique and exactly what we wanted for our grey and yellow rustic wedding...right down to the perfectly placed lemon slice accents. Carrie is friendly easy going and a pleasure to work with, but most importantly professional and an unbelievably talented artist! You can't go wrong with Floral Lab.
