Before finding their passion for wedding officiating, Dawn proudly served as Director of Events for Bon Appetit Management Company, overseeing the distinguished Carlson Towers’ Rotunda in Minnetonka, MN. She now spreads love to weddings and vow renewals as Flutterby’s Chief Social Butterfly, Officiant and Wedding Consultant. Dawn prides herself on building a trusting relationship with you and your partner before your special day.
Flutterby offers packages ranging from a simple ceremony to full service. Dawn will share great ceremony ideas, including information about obtaining your marriage license. She will ensure it is completed accurately and will send it in for you. Dawn will learn your preferences for your ceremony, from time restrictions to any spiritual or religious aspects you wish to include. She will create a unique ceremony script for you to look through to ensure it's just right.
Bonus! If you would like someone else to officiate your wedding and only need a ceremony script, we can help. Since writing is her specialty, Dawn provides the option of writing a personalized script for someone else to deliver.
Flutterby Celebrations & Ceremonies will manage your ceremony rehearsal and can also offer helpful advice to ensure your photographs turn out perfectly. Dawn will arrive early on your wedding day to oversee your ceremony preparation and guarantee the perfect ceremony for you and your partner.

Flutterby Celebrations & Ceremonies began in 2013 when I began wrapping up my career running an award-winning venue. The stars aligned and now I get to use my wedding expertise, organizational skills, writing and public speaking background to create incredible ceremonies. I would love to meet you! In my spare time, I love music, dining out, hiking, biking, and I volunteer for animal rescue.

From the very beginning, Dawn was warm, organized, and truly invested in making our ceremony feel personal and meaningful. From the moment we met Dawn, we knew she was the perfect person to be our officiant. The joy and passion she has for her job is so evident and you can truly feel how much she cares. She really took the time to get to know us as a couple and what our vision was for the ceremony. When we met with her to go over the draft she put together for our ceremony script, I was amazed at what she had come up with after having only met us once. It felt so personal and perfectly represented us as a couple and how we wanted our ceremony to feel. Although she put the script together, she wanted our input on everything and did not finalize it until we gave the okay. We loved her suggestions and she had a lot of fun ideas to add! We could not have been happier with how our wedding ceremony turned out. So many of our guests commented on the ceremony and Dawn specifically. She truly is the best! There's a reason they have won so many awards!

Dawn was fantastic. Dawn was thorough, which helped answer questions we didn't know we even had for this emotional event. Dawn was responsive, she promptly responded to questions we had. Dawn went over the ceremony script with us to make sure we liked what was being said, she gave us options on how we participate family members in the ceremony, so it was more inclusive. I wouldn't have changed anything, it was perfect. Would recommend.

Ralph and Dawn were both incredible! We met with Dawn beforehand, and I felt like she knew our vision immediately. This fantastic couple is energetic and the ultimate cheerleaders for your love as you enter a new chapter together! Dawn and Ralph were organized and well prepared. They were adaptable when I wanted to include the “jumping of the broom” into the ceremony. It was an incredible day, but the process and the ceremony was more special with their magic. I cant say enough good things about Dawn and how she made our wedding day perfect! Leading up to the big day she was a huge help in creating the perfect ceremony that truly felt like us. She offered her expertise when we needed it and in the end she had tailored the ceremony exactly how we wanted. She is also an MVP of the events industry and knows everyone so she was also super helpful recommending other amazing vendors that she's worked with. The day of she brings such a vibrant and joyful energy that calmed me down right when I saw her. Dawn was incredible, she made the ceremony something truly special and unique to us. We could not have asked for a better way to show our love for each other. Ralph and Dawn were spectacular. There was not a dry eye in the house and I can't count the number of times I heard "that was the most beautiful ceremony I'd ever been to".
Throughout the process they were kind, patient, and professional! They provided multiple drafts of our ceremony and we could tell we were in great hands from the very beginning (even before then as they had a suggested reading that made us both cry in our initial meeting).
Overall I would definitely recommend anyone looking for a personal, special, and beautiful ceremony work with Flutterby Celebrations!
