ather the afternoon of our wedding resulting in a road closure that our DJ would not be able to make it to our ceremony. We found out just under two hours prior to the ceremony start time. Thankfully we had an incredible wedding planner (Jenny at Stargazed Weddings & Events) who called Fred asking if he could make it in time and he graciously agreed. I truly owe everything to Fred and hate thinking about what our ceremony could have looked like had he not have been available. My wedding planner warned me that he had no time to prepare for our ceremony and would do the very best he could given the time constraints but that I may need to adjust my expectations on our music being perfect. I was pleasantly surprised that everything was PERFECT! In under one hour to prepare for this ceremony he absolutely blew me away. Fred truly saved the day and we will be forever grateful to him.

DJ Fred is the DJ we used from Greatime DJ for our wedding in Sep 2021. DJ Fred is an excellent DJ for 3 reasons:
1. His love for music - He just had such a passion for music. W...
e interviewed other DJ's and we mostly picked Fred because he just seemed so excited to talk about music and figure out what was going to make a party for us and our guest.
2. He has magic telepathic party making skills - Everyone danced a ton at our wedding. My friends and family aren't big party people, so I was so thrilled that everyone was dancing so hard that night. The best part was the end of the night. The end of our wedding he played a "final" song that everyone wanted to dance to and then he played an encore song that ended with every wedding guest(70 guests) in a big circle singing arm in arm. I had 5 - 10 people tell me that was the best end to a wedding they had ever scene. It was absolutely extraordinary.
3. He is very kind and honest and is willing to help you figure out what music is right for your party- I was struggling trying to determine what to play during dinner. I was going to go with a safe choice and play Sinatra vibe music. When I spoke with Fred, he told me not to play what I think I should play, but play what I want to hear. So I sent him a playlist of my favorite music that I wanted worked into the night if "it fit the vibe" he could work with. Fred loved the music and for dinner mostly played my playlist. It wasn't traditional, but he perfectly curated the playlist to start slow and calm and end with "let's party" songs. It was awesome hearing some of my husband and I's favorite songs instead of just the usual expected wedding tunes at dinner.

g out and contacting Greatime DJ, we had a wonderful introductory call with Fred. We were SO glad we got to work with Fred and Greattime DJ! He was just a true delight to connect with, easy to schedule and coordinate. We had a phone consultation before booking him for our big day and made my husband and I feel so comfortable. Planning was easy, Fred was very responsive, and we had a final session with him on the phone a week or two before the wedding. Fred was extremely helpful with suggestions on his experience, and worked with us to personalize the day- he was extremely organized! In terms of the actual day of, wow, he was AMAZING. He kept the party going, I don't think I've danced so much my entire life- we had SO MUCH FUN! Even some guests who told me they normally don't really dance at weddings were on the dance floor having a great time - one guest told me she was OBSESSED with Fred and will likely book him for when she gets married in the future.
He made sure everything we asked for stayed on track. He had several people tell us throughout the night what an amazing DJ we had snagged. We couldn't be more grateful to Fred and all he did to make our big day special. We have been to a lot of weddings and have learned a DJ can make or break a wedding. We’d always envisioned having a live band play our wedding reception, so we were naturally heartbroken upon learning that, due to COVID restrictions, a band was no longer feasible....
Having attended our share of weddings where the DJ was just fine, maybe even slightly better than expected, we assumed our outcome would be much the same.
What we didn’t expect was that Fred Hammond of Greatime DJ would completely rewrite our views of what a wedding DJ could be. From the jump, Fred was a true professional and put our minds at ease with his prompt communication and courteous, laidback personality. He’s got an excellent ear for all genres of music, of course, but his dedication to making our big day memorable and keeping our stress levels to a minimum is what made all the difference.
On wedding day, Fred continued to exceed expectations by working hand in hand with our planner to ensure everything was seamless. Armed with an expertly crafted setlist of our favorite tunes, Fred absolutely blew the doors off the place! His track selection and ability to read the energy of the dancefloor was impeccable and kept everyone grooving all night long. Perhaps the best testament to Fred’s abilities is the fact that our guests were still buzzing about the dance party two weeks later.

Everything was very personalized to us, he played songs from the Spotify playlists we sent him and used his expertise to play off the energy of our guests to keep the party going. Our dance floor was full the entire time and we got so many compliments on how good the music was. We were very impressed and had so much fun dancing with our guests. The uplighting looked excellent and coordinated well with the rest of our decorations. Also, all the microphones worked really well and the guests were all able to hear (including my grandparents with hearing aids), even despite it being a little windy at the beginning of our ceremony.

It was frustrating that Greatime would not refund any of our upfront money paid, though after much discussion they agreed to refund 50%.
