Wow, I gotta say, this was the best money spent for my wedding. My husband and I were first drawn to Gilbert's amazing photos on his website, and after meeting with multiple photographers, it was clear Gilbert was by far and away the best choice. His photos are to die for, but what really made our experience was his energy and personality, and his wonderful team. We worked with Gilbert, Corinna, Grace and Sara, the videographer, and I can't wait for the next event so I can hire them again. We first took engagement photos with Gilbert and Grace, and they made us feel like rockstars-the shoot was comfortable and breezy, and Gilbert has such an eye for beautiful landscapes and elegant, effective moments. He also made it easy for our natural playfulness to shine, and we felt so comfortable on camera. And the photos.were.stunning. We got so many compliments on them. This was a great experience that led us to be confident that our wedding would also be comfortable and easy. (and it was!) Gilbert went above and beyond helping us figure out the best wedding timeline, and even researched our family farm (the venue!) so he could come prepared on the wedding day. He was very knowledgeable about the industry but also was flexible and easily able to help us tailor a wedding that was very uniquely ours. He was a prompt responder and got answers to our questions thoroughly and quickly. The whole team was wonderful on the day of. Capturing special moments while laughing and joking and also keeping us on track. (We were on time for the entire wedding, wow!) It was important to me that our photographers felt like part of the wedding instead of just watching from the outside, and I really felt like that was achieved. All in all, Gilbert and his crew were just plain fun to be around. They made us feel good and calm during an event that has such high stakes, and because we felt comfortable, my husband and I were able to have authentic, easy, romantic moments together on the best day of our lives. Please hire him. You can't go wrong, and you won't regret it.

Gilbert and his team were referred to us and we would highly recommend them to anyone who asked. Initially we contracted Greyes for photography but last minute added videography to our engagement shoot to create a short video played at our reception. Choosing Greyes Photography was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding. As soon as I saw Gilbert’s work on their website, I knew I wanted to use his team for our wedding this past October 2024. They have a great creative eye and captured our day so beautifully. Communication was great, and they put our minds at ease and made everything seamless on our wedding day. They were extremely kind and helpful the entire day. I got so many comments from my wedding party and guests on how great they were. When we got our photos I was in awe of how beautiful they were. I will cherish them forever. I cannot recommend Gilbert enough for any of your photography needs. From the first outreach, he was incredibly kind, quick to respond and very organized. We absolutely loved our engagement shoot that was included in our wedding package. Leading up to the wedding, Gilbert helped me talk through our timeline to make sure we hit all of the locations and got all of the solo/group shots we wanted. On the day of, Gilbert and his team were timely and professional. We had so much fun with them. When we got back our photos/videos we were amazed at how absolutely stunning they are. He captured our day so perfectly and now we have the memories to look back on forever. This was hands down the best money we spent on our wedding. Hiring Greyes Photography for my wedding photography & videography was probably one of the best choices I made for my wedding. From our first consultation, I got that "this is the one" feeling immediately. Ourselves (as the couple) and both sides of the family fell in love with his portfolio. I greatly appreciated their communication style- they were never pushy, very transparent in their packages/what's included, and are very personable/have active listening skills. Another incredibly valuable aspect of Greyes photography is that since we were all so brand-new to the wedding planning process/hosting- he brought so much insight and ease to working out the details it was really enjoyable to work with them. I also felt like we were able to execute all the little things we wanted to include. They are also so accommodating to our needs- during our engagement shoot we had to reschedule 3 times due to illness/extenuating circumstances. It came perfectly together the day of. We also had to add in another event for coverage and they were able to do so within a reasonable price, and we loved how everything turned out. If there are any doubts about this group, please erase them. I will always treasure these photos for the rest of my life- they are so incredibly artistic, captured all the emotion of the days, and have such incredible quality. The videography was also clean and we were able to hear all of our vows/speeches clearly. They also deliver on all their promises. They were always on time, professional/positive attitude during every interaction, gave direction to us new-bees, communicated clearly about our expectations/what we needed to bring the day of the wedding, and delivered all media to us within the contracted time. I could not be happier with how everything turned out. Thank you so much Gilbert for everything :)

I cannot recommend Greyes Photography enough! We were blown away by the photos Gilbert and team captured at other couple's weddings when looking at the online portfolio. We knew we wanted unique and stunning photos that would last a lifetime, and Gilbert and team were the ones! Gilbert and Katrina captured our wedding day on 6/2/24 and we received our pictures back in a timely fashion. Our photos brought tears of joy to my eyes as I was able to re-live the best day ever with these amazing pictures! Gilbert and his wife Nessli were fantastic. They showed up on time, they clearly knew what they were doing, and they were easy to work with. But moreover, they were really willing to go the extra mile. As I told Gilbert at the end of the night, dealing with the stress of the wedding day and taking great photos is not easy, but it's also "the job". However... running around in 90 degree heat, helping us carry water and supplies around to keep us hydrated, and being eaten alive by mosquitos for the perfect forest photo is truly going above and beyond.

We did our save the date photoshoot with him as well which included our son and those pictures turned out just beautiful. Me and my wife were completely blown away by Gil and his team. He has a knack for keeping things fun and getting great smiles/poses for the photos. We recently received our pictures from the wedding and we got to completely relive the day. We appreciated it so much. Gil has a great attention to detail and is very aware of how his surrounding can be best utilized for unique photos. If you are on the fence about Gil, do yourself a favor and just hire him. He is worth every penny.

Gilbert and his team photographed our wedding at the Gardens of Woodstock on 9/15/23. We were so appreciative of their professionalism throughout the entire day and their patience putting up with our loud, crazy family! The pictures turned out absolutely STUNNING and we were blown away by how creative they were by taking advantage of the landscape around the venue including the trees, plants, reflections in the pond and reflection in mirrors. We will be admiring our pictures for years to come and highly recommend them for anyone wanting truly magical photos of their big day. We can't thank you enough!

Matt and I couldn't have asked for a better photographer for our wedding. Gilbert and his team captured the entire day perfectly, and the photos are to die for. My brother and SIL hired Greyes for their wedding back in 2018, and their photos turned out so beautiful we didn't even look at any other photographers when we got engaged. I can't recommend Gilbert enough! We had him for our engagement photos and wedding. We hired Gilbert for our engagement photos and our wedding photos. Needless to say, he has been amazing! Our engagement session was in November, 2022 and our wedding was in January, 2023. We have received our engagement photos back and love all of them. Gilbert has an eye for what he’s doing and explains the poses well. I just had my wedding two days ago and he was great! His assistance was also amazing and super helpful! We cannot wait to receive those photos back but I also know that they will be stunning.

Amazing photographers! The photos are everything we could have imagined. We loved the style and artistic aesthetic. We used Greyes for our engagement and wedding photos. I hired Gilbert for my own wedding after he photographed one of my best friends weddings that I was a bridesmaid in. Both experiences were fantastic working with him. I’ve been in a lot of weddings and Gilbert’s talent and professionalism is above and beyond. He gives very good direction, has an eye for detail, and was so friendly, accommodating, and professional throughout the whole experience. The photos turned out absolutely stunning. My guests were also raving about how he and his assistant somehow seemed to be everywhere and nowhere at the same time- In other words, they were exactly where they needed to be to get incredible photos without ever distracting from what was going on during our ceremony or reception. 10/10 recommend.

First off our engagement session we had last year was amazing! After we got the photos back we knew we couldn’t wait to see how our wedding photos turned out. Being a wedding photographer myself I knew I wanted amazing photography. I had my eye on Greyes Photography for a few years actually. He was incredibly easy to talk to and made sure everything went smoothly on the wedding day. His attention to detail and art of making the images in a more editorial tone is what drew me to him. He also really knows how to use all kinds of light, natural light, flash, and video lights. He made some amazingly creative images that I will treasure forever. My husband and I were one of Gilbert's pandemic couples (we booked him in 2019), and for two years he and his team were responsive, supportive, and reliable. We had to change our wedding plans THREE times, and each time Gilbert said yes to the new plan and made it happen. The pictures turned out wonderful, and he used every minute to capture what he could of our day. We ended up separating our ceremony and reception, and Gilbert was kind enough to offer us a more than reasonable rate to cover our reception and ended up staying longer than what was agreed upon so he could capture what was most important to us. He got us our pictures back way before anticipated as well. Gilbert and his team are so kind, and I am so grateful that we didn't have to stress about who would capture our day(s) so we could look back and remember the crazy ride of getting married during the pandemic. Gilbert and his team were INCREDIBLE for our engagement and wedding photos. He was extremely reliable and responsive, talked us through the plan of events for the evening and helped us stay on track, gave helpful feedback for posing, thought of many creative places to take pictures (including finding a spot with wonderful lighting in our very basic looking hotel), and blended seamlessly throughout the party. We had our initial engagement photos with Gilbert pre-covid, and Gilbert worked with us as we postponed our wedding during covid. I cannot recommend GReyes photography enough! Everything was wonderful!

Wow! Gilbert and Maui were absolutely fantastic for our Sept. 21 Wedding! Our pictures turned out exactly how we imagined and we received so many compliments on them! Gilbert was so attentive, detailed, and relaxed which made the entire process very easy. He tells you how to pose so you look your absolute best! We were supposes to get married in july 2020 and had to postpone to july 2021. Gilbert was amazing to work with during the whole process of having to postpone. You can tell Gilbert is a professional, he was very detailed and was amazing at giving us privacy during the first look and our couple photos. Gilbert was absolutely awesome. We just received our photos and we’re stunned at how well they came out! We highly recommend hiring him for your big day. We hadn’t met him before our wedding day but things went so smoothly that you’d think we had met before. His suggestions for locations, poses, and etc were excellent. He captured the essence of the day but also got a ton of cool, dramatic shots. The time available for our photoshoot was cut down by 1h30 by unexpected delays so we missed out on one location, but you’d never know that by looking at the pics. Hire him!

Gilbert and his team are amazing!! From the very start he was easy to talk to and understanding. He even helped make our day of timeline and was extremely flexible as we planned during the pandemic. Our engagement photos and wedding photos are perfect! Our friends and family have given us multiple compliments of how they are the most beautiful wedding photos they’ve ever seen. The assistants he brought to the engagement session and wedding were both incredibly talented. My bridesmaids felt comfortable and loved working with him. His services and price cannot be beat. I could not be happier with Gilbert and his team at Greyes... they were responsive and professional before i met them and once I met them I liked them even more. As is common everything was a hot mess and a blur the morning of my wedding and Gilbert handled it all with ease and wisdom. Every photo was better than the last and I did not make it easy on him! I can’t thank him enough for capturing the moments we wanted and the moments we didn’t even know we wanted until we saw the prints. I would book Greyes Photography a million times over. He showed up ready to go with ideas and if something wasn’t working he was quick to switch gears and wasted no time wrangling the massive bridal party into the best photos.

Picking a photographer was one of the most stressful things I had to do for my wedding, however, I know that without a doubt I made the right decision with GReyes photography! Gilbert and his wife were amazing to work with! They did a wonderful job staging pictures and making sure to capture all the important parts of our special day. Plus, they were fun to work with! Their prices were very competitive and the quality of pictures did not disappoint. Gilbert even special extra time "photoshopping" pictures I forgot to take and editing cosmetic imperfections. Gilbet and his team are the best! They were probably the hardest working vendors we had on our wedding day! I didn't even know I was picky about photography style until I started researching. GReyes Photography's portfolio stood out to us because the pictures are truly stunning. We chose the gold package from Gilbert, which was very reasonably priced for the level of talent and professional that they exhibited. It included a wedding album, engagement photos, and a full day of coverage for the wedding day. He made us feel at ease from the first time we met him (at the very beginning of our engagement photo shoot) and delivered those photos within just a few weeks. They were beautiful! We were excited to work with him again the day of the wedding and his team did not disappoint. It was a long day (almost 12 hours) since we had a ethnic ceremony in the morning as well, but they were terrific throughout. Gilbert helped organize all the major events, helped coordinate all our big crazy family photos and delivered over 1000 photos to us within 3 months. He captured everything from the smallest details, candid laughs, to our couple and bridal portraits that made us look like models (trust me, we are the furthest thing from that) Please do yourself a favor and book Gilbert and his team today!

Gilbert was one of the very best investments we made for our wedding day. From our first meeting at a Starbucks all the way through getting our photos back Gilbert was professional, fun, and personable. For both our engagement and wedding photos, he had a good mixture of candid shots and ones where he directed what we should do. On the day of, he and his second photographer Karina were present but also discreet. His editing is great and he gave us a great range of photos from natural to dramatic. He has a great eye for detail and creative shots. We could not recommend Gilbert enough - he'll actually be photographing my best friend's wedding in a few months!

Gilbert was absolutely amazing!! We can’t say enough good things about working with him. Both my husband and I have photography backgrounds so needless to say we were very picky!! He exceeded our expectations, he delivered tons of photos, all beautifully edited and technically wonderfully shot. Would choose him again in a heartbeat.

Absolutely book them!!!!! Stop looking for another photographer now!!!! There are not enough characters available to tell anyone searching for a photographer why they should choose GReyes but I’ll try to summarize! I knew photography was the most important vendor for me. I had a list of over 100 photographers I narrowed down from. (Crazy I know). Gilbert was professional, patient, informative, and willing to answer all of my crazy questions during the first “interview” I had with him. When I requested to see an entire gallery, I was absolutely blown away at the consistency, beauty, PERFECTION, of every image. This is what every wedding couple needs!! Don’t book based on highlight images! Fast forward to my planning meetings. We are out of state so we did them over the phone. We spent one phone call deciding an entire timeline, just for us to change our mind a day or two later. Gilbert was flexible with the change. He was always encouraging us to make it about us and our day. The day of was phenomenal!! He and his crew were amazing and fun. We felt like we’ve known them forever. He climbed on a bar for us, stopped traffic for us. Anything to capture the moments. Our guests, bridal party, and family who had encounters with them want to also book with him in the future! Our videographer also loved working with him. It was a seamless team. I could remain stress free and let them do their thing. We haven’t received our photos yet, but we already know they will be everything we dreamt of and more!!!!

I may never have a professional photographer take my pictures again, but if this was that one time, I'm thrilled that we got to work with Gilbert. We have only gratitude and praise to heap upon him and his team. Gilbert made getting photos taken so much more fun than we could have ever imagined. I really appreciated that he was patient and relaxed, but also confident and precise in coaching us on how to look our best. Neither of us thought we would feel comfortable being in front of the camera, but Gilbert and his assistants made it easy and something to be excited about instead of nervous. The pictures we received from our engagement session are incredible - they're probably the nicest photos we've ever had taken of us. The editing of the photos is also beautiful and a testament to somebody who really knows what they're doing.

Gil and team were absolutely fantastic to work with through the whole wedding process! They were responsive, friendly, fun, and the pictures all turned out absolutely stunning! We used GReyes Photography for our wedding just this September. We recently received our photos and they turned out amazing!!! Gilbert and Maui were our two photographers and they were so wonderful to work with. They had us laughing the entire day, literally. They made me and my husband feel so comfortable behind the camera and on the most important day of our lives. The shots they were able to get really captured our day so perfectly. We cannot stop looking at them! My husband and I can't thank you enough Gilbert. Your creativity, talent and professionalism, really is incomparable. We had so much fun we had with you & Maui. The entire process of dealing with him was a pleasure. From the initial consultation, engagement session, wedding day, and after the wedding. We booked Gilbert in May for our September 2019 wedding. We took our engagement photos with him last month and just got them back, and they are AMAZING! We did not have a huge budget for our wedding, but the one thing we did splurge on was the photography because we wanted to be able to enjoy our photos in the time to come. When I just started wedding planning, I came across GReyes Photography online and I knew instantly that I wanted them to be our wedding photographer. To my delight, they were not as outrageously priced as some of the other well known wedding photographers in Chicago. In fact, GReyes Photography is worth every single penny and more! We had Gilbert from GReyes Photographer cover both our engagement photo shoot and our wedding, and the pictures from both event came out spectacular! Gilbert was such a pleasure to work with. He instantly put us at ease with his laid-back and casual demeanor (and at the same time so dedicated to his work). We were definitely one of those couples who were clueless in front of a camera, and he was able to coach us through the different poses to produce amazing photos. When we did have the rare spontaneous moments, he was also quick to capture them with his camera. We also appreciated how responsive they were to email and would often reply within 24-48 hours. In addition to our Chicago wedding, we had a another wedding ceremony in our home country and wanted the wedding pictures to come out in time for our second ceremony. The timeline was a little tighter than the usual turnaround time for the photos, but we reached out to Gilbert, and he was able to make it happen for us. So many people have complimented how great our wedding pictures were. One person even came by my desk (where I have some of the wedding photos on display) and remarked how pretty they were as if they came straight out of a wedding magazine! I can go on and on about how much we love our wedding pictures and how amazing of a job GReyes Photography had done, but I'll keep keep it short and just say this - If I had to plan a wedding all over again, I would choose GReyes Photography in a heartbeat!

Photography is our number 1 priority when searching for vendors for our wedding day. I came across Gilbert and his work while doing tons of research on photographers. I was very intrigued and fascinated by his style of photography. I felt it was very unique and honest. MOST of what you'll see online are just photographers who will slap filters to their photos, there's a certain sophistication in Gilbert's photos that drew us to him. We were lucky enough to have him available for our date. He is reasonably priced, he responded quickly to any questions we had and was very helpful when we needed help in various aspects of our planning. Now for the good part, it RAINED on our wedding day. This is like my worst nightmare, I was almost sure that my photos will not turn out well. This is where Gilbert and his team shined. When we got our photos, we were so happy with them that we felt lucky it rained on our wedding day. Our photos were amazing. Our portraits where very unique and the candids made us feel like we were reliving our special day. I cannot thank Gilbert and his team enough for making my dreams come true for my wedding day! If you are in search for a wedding photographer, you better contact Gilbert right away, you will not be sorry.

I received my wedding pictures last week and I can’t stressed enough how wonderful they all look. All of the pictures were high quality. You can tell that Gilbert and his partner did an amazing job. He certainly has an artistic way of capturing each and every single moment and it really shows. He was amazing to work with. GREYES IS THE ABSOLUTE BEST! I wish I could shout this from the rooftops to all the picky brides out there (I was certainly one of them!) and let you know you can stop your search for the perfect wedding photographer right now because you’ve just found him. My fiancé and family can attest to my truly exhaustive search for a wedding photographer, pouring through websites, galleries and reviews — hoping to find someone who could capture beautiful candids and portraits and also get creative with artsy shots for us to frame in our new home. And when I came across Gilbert’s work, it immediately took my breath away and I knew he was the one. He did our engagement session for us before our wedding and made us feel so comfortable right away, with his quirky jokes and friendly personality. And when we got our photos back, we couldn’t believe how AMAZING they were! His eye for framing and shot composure is unparalleled and the photos themselves could be magazine-worthy (except for the rookie models haha), with some really artistic angles of Chicago landmarks behind us. Needless to say, we were so excited to work with Gilbert again on our wedding day! Our bridal party loved him and he kept us all genuinely smiling all day, which made for great photos :) And speaking of the photos — OH. MY. GOSH. They are PERFECT. They exceeded my wildest wedding dreams in every possible way. They are the most wonderful depiction of the best day of our lives, with photos that give us all the feels — making us both tear up and smile. Long story short, this picky bride never thought she’d find a photographer who could live up to her expectations... but Gilbert proved me wrong and gave me the most priceless gift, by allowing me to relive my wedding day through his unbelievable talent. He’s definitely worth the investment and if I could go back in time, I would choose him again!

Gilbert is the most incredible photographer to work with! From the day we met him, we felt very comfortable being ourselves and immediately trusted him. But after we received our engagement photos, we were blown away by how perfect they were. We did our engagement photos on what had to be the windiest day of the year and he managed to stop time to take the most amazing shots. I cannot wait to see our wedding photos and I have no doubt they will be even better! Gilbert has a great eye for lighting and poses. If I were to do this all over again, I would 100% book GReyes Photography.

Gilbert and team are PHENOMENAL. We could not have been more impressed and truly grateful for their work throughout this entire process. I am not one to like photos, but beginning with the engagement session, Gilbert put us at ease and was just very easy and fun to work with! The photos came out more amazing than I ever could have imagined. As for our wedding day, I can't even begin to describe how awesome they were. Gilbert helped keep us moving throughout the morning and made sure to get every shot we requested (we were probably a bit excessive). He has such an amazing vision and it truly is wonderful to watch him work and think of shots. Him and his team did a great job of keeping our larger bridal party organized in the 30 degree weather - they did everything they could to keep the amount spent outside as minimal as possible while still capturing all the shots we wanted. We're so excited to see how our photos turned out. Seriously, hire Gilbert!!!!
