Me and my wife were completely blown away by Gil and his team. He has a knack for keeping things fun and getting great smiles/poses for the photos. We recently received our pictures from the wedding and we got to completely relive the day. We appreciated it so much. Gil has a great attention to detail and is very aware of how his surrounding can be best utilized for unique photos. If you are on the fence about Gil, do yourself a favor and just hire him. He is worth every penny.

Gilbert and his team photographed our wedding at the Gardens of Woodstock on 9/15/23. We were so appreciative of their professionalism throughout the entire day and their patience putting up with our loud, crazy family! The pictures turned out absolutely STUNNING and we were blown away by how creative they were by taking advantage of the landscape around the venue including the trees, plants, reflections in the pond and reflection in mirrors. We hired Gilbert for our engagement photos and our wedding photos. Needless to say, he has been amazing! Our engagement session was in November, 2022 and our wedding was in January, 2023. We have received our engagement photos back and love all of them. Gilbert has an eye for what he’s doing and explains the poses well. I just had my wedding two days ago and he was great! His assistance was also amazing and super helpful! We cannot wait to receive those photos back but I also know that they will be stunning.

Amazing photographers! The photos are everything we could have imagined. We loved the style and artistic aesthetic. We used Greyes for our engagement and wedding photos. They were with us the entire wedding day and captured every special moment. Highly responsive and great communication throughout the whole process. We chose not to hire a videographer and still feel like absolutely every part of the day was captured. Hard to pick our favorite photos for sure.

I hired Gilbert for my own wedding after he photographed one of my best friends weddings that I was a bridesmaid in. Both experiences were fantastic working with him. I’ve been in a lot of weddings and Gilbert’s talent and professionalism is above and beyond. I cannot begin to thank Gilbert for everything he has done for my husband and I. We are beyond happy we booked Greyes photography for our wedding. First off our engagement session we had last year was amazing! After we got the photos back we knew we couldn’t wait to see how our wedding photos turned out. Being a wedding photographer myself I knew I wanted amazing photography. I had my eye on Greyes Photography for a few years actually. He was incredibly easy to talk to and made sure everything went smoothly on the wedding day. His attention to detail and art of making the images in a more editorial tone is what drew me to him. He also really knows how to use all kinds of light, natural light, flash, and video lights. He made some amazingly creative images that I will treasure forever. Turn around time was prompt and his communication was always on point! I Am so happy with my choice and can’t stop looking at my imagesetters . He created images that will adorn the walls of our home for a lifetime!

My husband and I were one of Gilbert's pandemic couples (we booked him in 2019), and for two years he and his team were responsive, supportive, and reliable. We had to change our wedding plans THREE times, and each time Gilbert said yes to the new plan and made it happen. The pictures turned out wonderful, and he used every minute to capture what he could of our day. We ended up separating our ceremony and reception, and Gilbert was kind enough to offer us a more than reasonable rate to cover our reception and ended up staying longer than what was agreed upon so he could capture what was most important to us. He got us our pictures back way before anticipated as well. Gilbert and his team are so kind, and I am so grateful that we didn't have to stress about who would capture our day(s) so we could look back and remember the crazy ride of getting married during the pandemic. Gilbert and his team were INCREDIBLE for our engagement and wedding photos. He was extremely reliable and responsive, talked us through the plan of events for the evening and helped us stay on track, gave helpful feedback for posing, thought of many creative places to take pictures (including finding a spot with wonderful lighting in our very basic looking hotel), and blended seamlessly throughout the party. We had our initial engagement photos with Gilbert pre-covid, and Gilbert worked with us as we postponed our wedding during covid. I cannot recommend GReyes photography enough! Everything was wonderful!

Wow! Gilbert and Maui were absolutely fantastic for our Sept. 21 Wedding! Our pictures turned out exactly how we imagined and we received so many compliments on them! Gilbert was so attentive, detailed, and relaxed which made the entire process very easy. He tells you how to pose so you look your absolute best! He also keeps you on track (time wise) so you get everything / everyone in the pictures. We definitely recommend for all your photography needs!!

We were supposes to get married in july 2020 and had to postpone to july 2021. Gilbert was amazing to work with during the whole process of having to postpone. You can tell Gilbert is a professional, he was very detailed and was amazing at giving us privacy during the first look and our couple photos. Gilbert was absolutely awesome. We just received our photos and we’re stunned at how well they came out! We highly recommend hiring him for your big day. We hadn’t met him before our wedding day but things went so smoothly that you’d think we had met before. His suggestions for locations, poses, and etc were excellent. He captured the essence of the day but also got a ton of cool, dramatic shots. The time available for our photoshoot was cut down by 1h30 by unexpected delays so we missed out on one location, but you’d never know that by looking at the pics. Hire him!

I could not be happier with Gilbert and his team at Greyes... they were responsive and professional before i met them and once I met them I liked them even more. As is common everything was a hot mess and a blur the morning of my wedding and Gilbert handled it all with ease and wisdom. Every photo was better than the last and I did not make it easy on him! There is so much detail in all the shots and some literally took my breath away. Picking a photographer was one of the most stressful things I had to do for my wedding, however, I know that without a doubt I made the right decision with GReyes photography! Gilbert and his wife were amazing to work with! They did a wonderful job staging pictures and making sure to capture all the important parts of our special day. Plus, they were fun to work with! Gilbet and his team are the best! They were probably the hardest working vendors we had on our wedding day! I didn't even know I was picky about photography style until I started researching. GReyes Photography's portfolio stood out to us because the pictures are truly stunning. We chose the gold package from Gilbert, which was very reasonably priced for the level of talent and professional that they exhibited. It included a wedding album, engagement photos, and a full day of coverage for the wedding day. He made us feel at ease from the first time we met him (at the very beginning of our engagement photo shoot) and delivered those photos within just a few weeks. They were beautiful! We were excited to work with him again the day of the wedding and his team did not disappoint. It was a long day (almost 12 hours) since we had a ethnic ceremony in the morning as well, but they were terrific throughout. Gilbert was one of the very best investments we made for our wedding day. From our first meeting at a Starbucks all the way through getting our photos back Gilbert was professional, fun, and personable. For both our engagement and wedding photos, he had a good mixture of candid shots and ones where he directed what we should do. On the day of, he and his second photographer Karina were present but also discreet. His editing is great and he gave us a great range of photos from natural to dramatic. Absolutely book them!!!!! Stop looking for another photographer now!!!! There are not enough characters available to tell anyone searching for a photographer why they should choose GReyes but I’ll try to summarize! I knew photography was the most important vendor for me. I had a list of over 100 photographers I narrowed down from. (Crazy I know). Gilbert was professional, patient, informative, and willing to answer all of my crazy questions during the first “interview” I had with him. When I requested to see an entire gallery, I was absolutely blown away at the consistency, beauty, PERFECTION, of every image. This is what every wedding couple needs!! Don’t book based on highlight images! Fast forward to my planning meetings. We are out of state so we did them over the phone. We spent one phone call deciding an entire timeline, just for us to change our mind a day or two later. Gilbert was flexible with the change. He was always encouraging us to make it about us and our day. The day of was phenomenal!! He and his crew were amazing and fun. We felt like we’ve known them forever. He climbed on a bar for us, stopped traffic for us. Anything to capture the moments. Our guests, bridal party, and family who had encounters with them want to also book with him in the future! Our videographer also loved working with him. It was a seamless team. I could remain stress free and let them do their thing. We haven’t received our photos yet, but we already know they will be everything we dreamt of and more!!!!

I may never have a professional photographer take my pictures again, but if this was that one time, I'm thrilled that we got to work with Gilbert. We have only gratitude and praise to heap upon him and his team. Gilbert made getting photos taken so much more fun than we could have ever imagined. We did not have a huge budget for our wedding, but the one thing we did splurge on was the photography because we wanted to be able to enjoy our photos in the time to come. When I just started wedding planning, I came across GReyes Photography online and I knew instantly that I wanted them to be our wedding photographer. To my delight, they were not as outrageously priced as some of the other well known wedding photographers in Chicago. In fact, GReyes Photography is worth every single penny and more! We had Gilbert from GReyes Photographer cover both our engagement photo shoot and our wedding, and the pictures from both event came out spectacular! Gilbert was such a pleasure to work with. He instantly put us at ease with his laid-back and casual demeanor (and at the same time so dedicated to his work). We were definitely one of those couples who were clueless in front of a camera, and he was able to coach us through the different poses to produce amazing photos. When we did have the rare spontaneous moments, he was also quick to capture them with his camera. We also appreciated how responsive they were to email and would often reply within 24-48 hours. In addition to our Chicago wedding, we had a another wedding ceremony in our home country and wanted the wedding pictures to come out in time for our second ceremony. The timeline was a little tighter than the usual turnaround time for the photos, but we reached out to Gilbert, and he was able to make it happen for us. So many people have complimented how great our wedding pictures were. One person even came by my desk (where I have some of the wedding photos on display) and remarked how pretty they were as if they came straight out of a wedding magazine! I can go on and on about how much we love our wedding pictures and how amazing of a job GReyes Photography had done, but I'll keep keep it short and just say this - If I had to plan a wedding all over again, I would choose GReyes Photography in a heartbeat!

Photography is our number 1 priority when searching for vendors for our wedding day. I came across Gilbert and his work while doing tons of research on photographers. I was very intrigued and fascinated by his style of photography. I felt it was very unique and honest. MOST of what you'll see online are just photographers who will slap filters to their photos, there's a certain sophistication in Gilbert's photos that drew us to him. We were lucky enough to have him available for our date. GREYES IS THE ABSOLUTE BEST! He did our engagement session for us before our wedding and made us feel so comfortable right away, with his quirky jokes and friendly personality. And when we got our photos back, we couldn’t believe how AMAZING they were! Gilbert and team are PHENOMENAL. We could not have been more impressed and truly grateful for their work throughout this entire process. Gilbert did a wonderful job with my wedding in July 2017. Gilbert is the kind of vendor that you have peace of mind about after booking. He worked very hard the day of my wedding, taking photos at my house, my in-laws house, the church, on our party bus, at the photo site (Dominican University), and at our venue - both inside and outside. I do not consider myself a photogenic person and after getting our photos back I was beyond pleased with the beautiful pictures Gilbert took of myself and my husband, and our perfect day. Gilbert managed my large bridal party (18 total) with ease, taking charge when he needed to, but giving us choices and listening to our preferences if and when we had them. Our wedding was about 2 months ago and we just received our pictures! We could not be happier. Gilbert did our engagement and wedding day pictures. They are so easy to work with and really helped us out a lot. We planned our own wedding and unsure on how to plan everything and he was very helpful. We went over things a couple times before the wedding which really made me feel comfortable about the day. I do not even remember seeing him during the ceremony and dancing yet we have a thousand beautiful pictures of it all! He does more then just poses and captures moments of the day which are my absolute favorite. We would 100% recommend Leo (and have already!). I came across Greyes Photography from friends that have used them for their weddings. We're so happy we choose Greyes Photography. Gilbert and his colleagues were so fun to work with. My husband and I have never taken professional photos before so we were a little uncomfortable at first during our engagement session. This guy! I used him because he did my best friends wedding and I was in love with her photos. I knew what I was getting and I was not disappointed! He was great about staying in contact and checking on things as the wedding got closer. He has two shooters and I got a sneak peek on his media sites the next day. He's super pleasant and funny! He complimented me the whole time and helped carry my dress around! He was hands on and made sure you were positioned and fixed just right for photos!

When we found GReyes Photography, we knew they HAD to be our wedding photographer. Early on, we met with some other photographers who had nice portfolios, but did not match our personalities, and were highly overpriced. Then we found GReyes, and couldn't believe their work and affordability! From the moment we met Gilbert at our engagement shoot, we knew we made the right choice! Gilbert is patient, hilarious, and so much fun to work with. We crawled through the grass with him and stood in the middle of Chicago traffic. Our trust in him paid off with spectacular results, and we could not wait to see what he would do at the wedding. Our wedding was a full day cultural fusion with two ceremonies. Gilbert and his team arrived at 6:30am and were with us the entire day until nearly 10:30pm! Others have said this, and it is totally true, that Gilbert will lay down on the ground outside to capture the perfect shot. His work is so beautiful and well-composed! Gilbert is constantly up for a challenge – I don’t even know how so many of our photos were captured! In the end, we received nearly 1,700 edited photos documenting our wedding day. Gilbert and his team were the ultimate professionals; well-dressed, polite, and half the time, unseen but very hard at work! You can’t go wrong choosing GReyes Photography for your big day! We’d do it again in a heartbeat!

Gilbert was amazing - he really took charge and "corralled" our wedding party well. He got a lot of amazing shots - including all the ones we asked for. The photos are absolutely gorgeous and they were delivered to us in a timely manner.

Gil and Nessli were so great to work with! I would highly recommend them to new couples planning their upcoming weddings! The ease they gave on my wedding day was so appreciated! We had horrible weather, which was disappointing for a bride, but Gil and Nessli stayed positive and were a very calming aspect to have on my big day! Gil and Nessil are hands down the most EPIC photographer power couple!!! I did a TON of research before booking a photographer and really wanted photos that were more artsy/modern/sleek and not just your average wedding shots. When I saw their website I was SOLD and was panicking about how much they were gunna be. To my surprise they were almost 1/2 the price of some of the big names in Chicago and 5x better!!!! I cannot tell you how many people ask me about who did my wedding and engagement pictures. All of my friends and family commented on how cool they were (and we all know as someone in the bridal party- pictures are the worst part!!!). You are making a HUGE mistake if you don't book them!

Starting with our engagement photo shoot, Gilbert and his assistant went above and beyond to make sure that we were both looking our best, while still feeling at ease. We hopped around various spots in Chicago and Gilbert was able to compose phenomenal shots while going the extra mile to teach us how to “squinch”, pose and overall look our best. I'm not kidding when I say he literally fluffed my wife’s dress, fixed our hair, hung off railings and laid down in the middle of tourists on the new river walk trying to get the perfect shot! It's so awesome when your photographer is 10x more committed and invested than even you are when it comes to getting "the shot". That level of commitment transpired throughout the entire day of the wedding. He was enthusiastic, but still calming at the same time. He captured the mood and storyline of the day with ease, while maintaining an almost ninja-like profile so as not to take away from the authenticity of the event. Gilbert is a true artist and we are so lucky that we were able to work with him and his team. Our engagement and wedding photos are truly perfect and we could not be more delighted with how everything turned out!

Greyes was SO AMAZING I can't stress it enough!! The day of: they arrived on time and stayed on schedule. They were ON. IT. Gilbert was so incredible, doing anything and everything to get the shot, on an 82 degree day. I also had a HUGE bridal party (22 including us!) and he did a great job at keeping everyone focused and getting them to do/stand/etc where they needed to. Not only are they so professional and really just EXPERTS, but they are SO nice and friendly and you will want to be their friend!! More importantly, our photos are INCREDIBLE. I fell in love with their artistic style and really wanted photos that would stand out and they really are just incredible. If you are looking for amazing, artistic, unique photos that are anything but typical, HIRE THEM!!! You will NOT regret it!!!!

Our wedding photos far exceeded our expectations. They captured moments that we did not even know happened since our wedding day was such a blur. They are very professional and very knowledgeable. GREYES photography was recommended to me by a family friend. He was the first photographer we met with and my husband and I were sold as soon as he showed us his work. Gilbert was great to work with he was able to give both my husband and I explicit directions during the shoot, which was great because we wouldn't have know how to pose. Gilbert Reyes is great to work with! My fiance and I hired him to take our engagement photos in Lincoln Park. He gave explicit directions during the shoot, which was great because I wouldn't have known what to do otherwise. He delivered the photos to us ahead of schedule, and my fiance and I look like models in the photos! We are more than pleased with Gilbert's work and recommend him wholeheartedly.
