We were excited to work with him again the day of the wedding and his team did not disappoint. It was a long day (almost 12 hours) since we had a ethnic ceremony in the morning as well, but they were terrific throughout. Gilbert was professional, patient, informative, and willing to answer all of my crazy questions during the first “interview” I had with him. Don’t book based on highlight images! Fast forward to my planning meetings. We are out of state so we did them over the phone. He was always encouraging us to make it about us and our day. The day of was phenomenal!! He and his crew were amazing and fun. We felt like we’ve known them forever. Our videographer also loved working with him. It was a seamless team. I could remain stress free and let them do their thing. In fact, GReyes Photography is worth every single penny and more! We had Gilbert from GReyes Photographer cover both our engagement photo shoot and our wedding, and the pictures from both event came out spectacular! Gilbert was such a pleasure to work with. He instantly put us at ease with his laid-back and casual demeanor (and at the same time so dedicated to his work). We were definitely one of those couples who were clueless in front of a camera, and he was able to coach us through the different poses to produce amazing photos. When we did have the rare spontaneous moments, he was also quick to capture them with his camera. We also appreciated how responsive they were to email and would often reply within 24-48 hours. In addition to our Chicago wedding, we had a another wedding ceremony in our home country and wanted the wedding pictures to come out in time for our second ceremony. The timeline was a little tighter than the usual turnaround time for the photos, but we reached out to Gilbert, and he was able to make it happen for us. One person even came by my desk (where I have some of the wedding photos on display) and remarked how pretty they were as if they came straight out of a wedding magazine! It started with an engagement session, Gilbert had great recommendations on where to go and we loved getting to hang out with both of them during the shoot. I expected it to be somewhat awkward and it was just the opposite- we had a great time! On the day itself- Gilbert called me prior to walk through a timeline. He doesn't limit the time to an hour limit, he really wants to capture the full day for you. After the wedding it took around 9 weeks to get photos back, he had told us up front it would take that long and it makes sense due to the quantity and quality of images that you receive. He did send me a couple images earlier because I was anxious to share an image with family and friends of the day! We now have all of our pictures back and they are amazing! Greyes captured every expression, every moment, and we have thousands of images to relive the most amazing day of our lives.

have such a keen eye. We met with Gilbert, and knew he was passionate about what he does. He had so many ideas just talking with us, and suggested what we could do in different scenarios (snow, low-lighting, rain, etc.). He laid out the plan for how his usual weddings go, and asked how we would feel about it. We knew we wanted him as our photographer after meeting with him! We met Nessli the day of, and she's so sweet! She and Gilbert work so well together. When they shoot together, they make sure to get all angles. When she's assisting Gilbert, she moves almost like his shadow. If he moves a couple inches, she knows where to move to compliment him. It was amazing watching them work together. They were a blast to work with, and made sure we were comfortable doing whatever. Gilbert was a pro at positioning and working with lighting/reflections. The turn around time for the photos was fantastic! We had our images about five weeks after. We will definitely be using Gilbert and Nessli for whatever photo needs we have!!

Many of our wedding guests came up to us and were so impressed with how they managed to be everywhere and get all the shots without really being noticed or in the way- some people even referred to them as "ninjas!" I have been to plenty of weddings where the photographers were SO distracting, especially during the ceremony when all you should be focused on is your bride or groom to be- GReyes is the total opposite, which is great! We looked into 5 other photographers as well and GReyes blew everyone else away. We bought the most basic package, which included coverage for at least 11 or 12 hours (I think less was specified in the contract but they got there EARLY to photograph details in the reception venue, my dress, and the rings, and left about an hour after the dancing started at the reception), 2 shooters (we actually got 3 because they were training a new photographer), and a flash drive with all of our edited pictures (over 1000). Gilbert met with us at our venue the day before the wedding to scope everything out and was super helpful in planning our timetable for getting ready, first-look, ceremony, wedding party and family pictures, etc. On the day of, everything went smoothly and the photographers were all a pleasure to work with. Admittedly it is a little awkward taking a bunch of pictures in what at some points seemed like weird positions or locations, but they kept it fun and easy. All of our pictures turned out beautifully, and we received the link to them online within about 2 weeks of the wedding, which was much MUCH sooner than expected! I've received SO many compliments on our pictures ("these should be in wedding magazines," etc.). Absolutely one of the best decisions we made about our wedding, I would recommend GReyes to anyone!

We did our engagement pictures a week before our wedding because my fiance at that time, now is my husband, lived in California, and I was in Chicago so we could only do it when my husband got here. And they were flexible with their schedule which was really great. Although it was freezing cold out as we did it in downtown Chicago, the pictures turned out great. They brought hand warmers for me and my husband, even if they really didn't have to do that. It was really nice and thoughtful of them. We didn't even think of bringing it for us to use but they did and we were glad they brought one because if they didn't, I don't think we would have lasted long in that weather because our fingers and toes were already numb and nearly got frosbites!! It was below 20 degrees at that time, we did it February of this year. We got married at The Seville on Valentine's day and in less than 2 months, the pictures are already available online....and the pictures are fabulous!!! I couldn't have asked for better pictures....I'm really happy with all the pictures... I'm really happy that our photographers were Gilbert and Nesli!!! Definitely would recommend this couple!! Then, when we eventually saw the proofs from the wedding, they stood well above what we'd been finding in our searches. Those photographers were Gilbert & Nessli Reyes, the incredibly talented and lovely duo behind GReyes Photography. Thankfully, we were able to book them for our own wedding and couldn't possibly have been happier with that decision! Shortly before our meeting with Gilbert about a week before the wedding, we had just found out that our plan for video had fallen through. In a pinch, we asked Gilbert if they would be able to shoot some occasional video from their cameras just to get something. Knowing how short of notice this was, we assumed he'd have to deny our request, but instead he assured us, without hesitation, that he could do even better - he had the perfect person for the job. And he truly did - our video came out exactly as we had described to him, and we feel so fortunate to have it. And the photos! Our photos turned out beautifully; they're both classic and artistic, and they perfectly capture the intimacy and overall feel of our wedding. Gilbert & Nessli listened to our likes, dislikes, fears, and desires, and ultimately produced the most incredible set of memories of our special day. I strongly recommend GReyes Photography to absolutely anyone in or around the Chicago area (they'll even travel, I believe!). They were completely amazing in every possible way.

The quality of photos they shot at the engagement and wedding day are worth thousands and thousands of dollars. The photos in the album and frames are worth every penny. ensure we had every shot we wanted. They were SO personable, friendly, and very easy to work with. We had so much fun taking pictures with the bridal party before the ceremony and it really felt like they were just part of the family. Everything felt so natural and we genuinely had so much fun with them. I am in LOVE with my wedding photos and have received so many compliments from them and have had many friends use them for their own weddings! Many brides will say their vendors caused them more stress but Gilbert and Nessli were a big factor in making our day run smoothly and made it more relaxed and fun. Absolutely the best vendors we worked with!

I are very laid back people and working with Gilbert and his wife made everything so easy. They got pictures we asked for and so much more. You get what you pay for with them. I found a lof ot photographers have high costs for their service for only 4 hours. Do YOU know how quick 4 hours lasts? It flys by! So for them to be there all day, was awesome. PICK THEM!

and it was perfect! He helped capture that perfect moment, and we couldn't wait for him to be a part of capturing our wedding day! First of all, communication was great, and we were always able to know what was happening leading up to the wedding. They were great with handling travel arrangements. The poor guys had to do a wedding the night before ours, but they sure didn't show any signs of slowing down! We had a HUGE wedding (400+), and they were able to capture so many of the important details of that day. The pictures turned out great, and they strike a great balance of maintaining the integrity of the original setting, while still providing quality enhancement of the specific moments and people we were hoping to capture. My wife and I would recommend them without hesitation!
