Co-Owner & Founder of Groove Line Productions, Mobile DJ Service James, aka DJ Ptch Blaq is a retired Army Veteran, after a career of military service serving others and working on his passion "music" only part-time he's loving his new found freedom as a Mobile DJ & Music Producer. He holds multiple degrees in music production, engineering, including his latest degree Audio Engineering from Full Sail University. He's also a member of Fleet DJ & Producer, an organization bringing DJ & studio talent together to collab with artist & each other. When not working as a mobile DJ or in studio on an audio project you can find him mixing it up for his weekly radio show "Silhouettes & Shadows" on KHUR RADIO Tuesdays at Noon -1 PM CT. In addition to weddings, he DJs social events, corporate functions and sporting events booking clients up to 18 months in advance in the Central Texas & North Georgia Areas.

Trelawny, DJ Ian, and Groove Line Productions were absolutely fantastic! The consultation process was easy and seamless, and Trelawny was very responsive to all of our questions. I loved that they used an app to help personalize your wedding music, from the music that plays while the guests are filing in, all the way through the reception. We were able to choose songs that mean a lot to us, our friends, and our family. DJ Ian did a fantastic job all around -- the ceremony acoustics were perfect, the music was flawless, and he kept the party going all night! Our overall experience was great! DJ Pitch Black kept the party jumping! There were some very minor mistakes made with the wedding party music starting earlier than expected, and our wedding party names when being introduced, but overall that's nothing compared to the wonderful time everyone had dancing! Our guests and I had a wonderful time!

They were able to accommodate our indecisiveness and put together a great playlist. I cannot brag enough about Groove Line!! From the get go, they were awesome with communicating deadlines (& didn’t lose patience with us when we didn’t meet them). They were so helpful with suggestions on lighting, where to set up dance floor & deciding on playlists. We had no idea what all goes into planning the mics, sound system, etc for ceremony & reception & they handled it ALL flawlessly…..then on to the party…the dance floor stayed full all night because he kept the music flowing. Groove Line was beyond easy to work with and so accommodating, especially for a busy couple to get in weekend meetings and evening meetings. Their app they use made me have a clear vision of the wedding timeline and flow. The questions built into it really made me feel confident in my choice because they really make sure they checked all the boxes and made sure our day was going to be perfect. Let me tell you our friends and family LOVED the music and open dance. They danced all night long and song after song kept them on the dance floor. They really know how to read a crowd. Your DJ can make or break your wedding and Groove Line made our wedding day.

Having Groove Line Productions at our wedding was one of the best choices we've ever made. It was also the easiest decision for us to make as well. Firstly, the whole process with them leading up to the big event was smooth like butter. From inquiring into their availability and pricing, all the way up to after the big day - the experience was smooth, simple, and exceeded all expectations in my book. We had a couple meetings prior to flesh out the details, both Trelawny and DJ Ian were incredibly helpful in their suggestions and giving us a step by step guide to figuring out music when and where. The entire process for finding music was incredibly simple with their app too - it made finding music very easy. You think of a song and bam, just add it to the app. And all the music we put on that, DJ Ian really found the essence of them and created a wonderful playlist for our cocktail hour. On our actual wedding day - DJ Ian had literally everyone on the dance floor, and that's exactly what I wanted. People loved all the songs he was playing. I can't tell you how many people brought up how amazing the DJ was! We had a lot of fun celebrating and a big part of that was the efforts of Groove Line Production. James and Trelawny are awesome! They provided DJ services for my wedding just over a week ago and made the process so stress-free. Music is a huge part of how my husband and I express ourselves so I’ll admit, at first, I stressed about what to play at our wedding. The Vibo app that they provided for us was a huge help. It broke down the different events of the wedding day and allowed us to pick exactly which songs we wanted to hear for certain parts of the ceremony/reception and also let us give some freedom to the DJ for other parts. James was our DJ, and he worked with us so well throughout the day. We had some acoustic issues, but I feel that was more a venue + loud music issue…and honestly, it wasn’t even much of an issue. The HIGHLIGHT of my reception was pranking my father. My dad and I have always had a playful relationship so I was so happy that James was able to help me prank him for our Father/Daughter dance!

We used their platinum package that included uplighting and they lit the reception space perfectly. Great, friendly, and fun DJ! We had a couple bumps in the road with the heat but the DJ handled it with ease and got the show back up and running fast! They were super flexible and really great to work with. The app they use to help organize everything is also amazing. My husband and I had the best experience with Groove Line! Trelawny and DJ Steph really know how to plan and execute an incredibly seamless event. Through thoughtful and very creative music choices, and gorgeous lighting design, everything flowed beautifully. The planning process was really fun! Using the Groove Line app, we uploaded some specific must play songs and then some more general songs to give an idea of the vibe we wanted. The result was an inclusive and awesome atmosphere that made everyone feel totally joyful! It was really amazing to watch DJ Steph work their magic at every point during the wedding! We could tell that they really love their art. When it was time for the Horah, DJ Steph transitioned the song in the coolest way that had all of our friends’ ears perked! Throughout the night, people kept coming up to us to say how great the DJ was. And it showed – most everyone was out on the dance floor having a blast! From our first meeting with Trelawny, to hitting the dance floor with DJ Steph, we couldn’t have hoped for a more professional and exciting team to work with. We had the BEST experience with Groove Line Productions as our wedding DJ. Wow, where to start? I did extensive research on DJ companies and solo DJs (there are so many out there!) before choosing Groove Line. I knew we had to book them after my first phone call with Trelawny. Trelawny was so kind and knowledgeable. She answered all my questions thoroughly and was NOT pushy like other DJs I have encountered. The communication and response time was on point the whole time. We got the Platinum Package, which includes 10 uplights. I wasn’t sure how many uplights I needed exactly, but was thinking maybe 12. I was stressing out about those 2 extra uplights that I may need because it can be expensive to rent uplights! I sent an email over to Trelawny asking if I could get 2 additional uplights for the day of and she said no problem! Then we invited Trelawny and DJ Ptch Blaq to the final venue walk through. As the planner and I were discussing the floor plan, Trelawny was planning where the uplights would be placed and how many would be needed for the space before I even mentioned it. It is evident that they are experienced with weddings. They gave us guidance without telling us what we should or should not do. During our final consult meeting, we discussed the general type of music we wanted but gave them full reign to do whatever they needed to do to keep the party going. You can’t gain my trust too easily, but Groove Line did! Our friends and family were on the dance floor the whole night. The wedding turned out amazing and we are so thankful to have had Groove Line on our team!

We were truly impacted by covid and had to reschedule our 2020 wedding 3x. They stuck with us the entire process. They are a true gem! DJ Pitch Blaq kept the energy going all night. The planning app they used was by far one of my favorite features, for this Type A bride. Releasing control is hard, but between the app and our planning meetings, I knew our wedding day was in wonderful hands. If I ever have an event that needs a DJ, Groove Line will be the company that I call. I have nothing but wonderful things is say. Extra bonus, the video they sent us after our wedding brought tears of joy to me and my husband. Definitely a hidden bonus that I’m so grateful to have.

What a great company to have for your wedding! Groove Line Productions went above and beyond for us. They took the time to get to know what kind of feel we wanted from the lighting and sound and they nailed it! Throughout the whole process leading to the day they were always open for communication for any needs or suggestions we might have had. DJ Ptch Blaq knows exactly how to get the party going. The dance floor stayed busy from beginning to the end, and everyone had a great night. Thank you for making our night one to remember!

I cannot say enough good things about Groove Line Productions, DJ Ptch Blaq. and Trelawny. They did an absolutely amazing job at Kathrine and Austin's wedding. From the service, to the cocktail hour, dinner and dancing...everything was exactly as we had hoped and planned. So many people commented that the best part of the wedding was simply watching everyone enjoy themselves together on the dance floor. One older guest commented that her only regret was that she wasn't young enough to get out there with the young kids! The professionalism of GLP was incredible from start to finish. The response time to any question was fast! They have an amazing app to help coordinate the timeline and the music. At first, I wasn't sure about using it, but there are suggestions for types of music and songs. You can add other people so various members of the wedding party can be allowed to add songs to the play list. It was easy to use and very helpful. GLP had a Zoom call with us about 30 days out and spent a lot of time going over how we wanted things to flow and asking great questions. Then, they also showed up at our venue walk-through to make sure they knew how to use the audio system in the chapel, as well as map out their site plan with lighting for the wedding. Trelawny had great lighting suggestions. We did the uplighting and the BOGO monogram through them - and we are SO glad we did. The lighting really added to the event and the monogram was beautiful. They bring their own "command center" booth which looked great and very professional. The entire set up was more than I ever envisioned. It added so much to the overall wedding experience. We even received a video gift from them of the wedding dance - clips from the night from their perspective. It was so sweet. What more can you ask for, than when your daughter thinks back on the wedding and says she wouldn't change a thing? Thanks GLP for making it a night to remember. Without hesitation, I would recommend GLP.

Listen - Do you want your guests to have the best time possible? Do you want to have people on the dance floor all night? Do you want to have a DJ team who are invested in your wedding? We had the best possible event and so many compliments regarding our music/lights. They worked with us in the pandemic to reschedule and were consistent in being a part of our day. The whole process from initial contact to check-ins to post-wedding wrap-up was so clear and easy. Trelawny and our DJ (AJ) worked so hard to ensure that our day was perfect. We had a last-minute rain plan switch and AJ was so ready to pull it off without a hitch. We hired Grooveline for our April 17 wedding. I don’t even know where to start with how phenomenal DJ Steph and the entire team at Grooveline were. In our consultation, they were helpful in crafting our vision and help guiding the conversation to truly create the perfect music to go with our perfect night. Day of, DJ Steph never missed a beat. The mixes she put together kept the dance floor lively and we are STILL getting compliments about their DJ services. Professionalism of DJ was good. Sound for mics were too low for people to hear during speeches and the timing was off on music cues due to miscommunication. Of course our wedding was not as traditional. We were also rushed in thw last week before the wedding to get all the music we wanted in the app because of no administrative access ahead of time. I would definetly still recommend this DJ service because they were somewhat flexible.

We are saddened you felt rushed to make music choices for your wedding. We created the music app profile when hired by your MIL and shared invitations to join it via email & text. As our service date neared, we sent invitation in Aug to book the final consult with your DJ for the week prior to your wedding with a reminder the music app locks the week prior to the event. We saw the activity in the app Aug & Sept during this time. We welcome feedback and appreciate it, this is a great consideration for sending weekly check in via the app for the month of as an added measure. Thank you! The music and lighting were amazing, Groove line productions accommodated all of our song selections, even going out their way to find songs that weren't included in their normal line up. The lighting was gorgeous, they matched our theme perfectly with the rose centered on the dance floor illuminating the area. Dj Ptch Blaq, aka Mr. James Bullock and his wife Trelawny were very professional and it was a thrill to have them help us celebrate our wedding.

We've had to reschedule my daughter's wedding twice and working with Grooveline has been so easy. Trelawny has been helpful and understanding and it's been easy to arrange for another date, not once, but twice. I'd highly recommend Grooveline for their customer service and professionalism. We are looking forward to finally being able to have them at our wedding next September.

James and Trelawny were an absolute treat to have for our special day!! We were a COVID19 wedding and they were super accommodating when we had to move our day. With the help of the Vibo App we were able to select our special songs in advance and they were ready to go for our day. To our surprise GLP created a memory video of our day! They went out of their way to create this keepsake video for us and it is something we will cherish forever. The music selection kept everyone on their feet and dancing the entire night! GLP is VERY professional in everything they do and I recommend everyone to use them! If I had to do my wedding over I would chose to work with GLP time and time again!!

We hired Groove Line Production to DJ our daughter’s wedding in January 2020. The owners, Trelawny and James spent at least 45 minutes answering all my questions before signing the contract, they made selecting music for the wedding so simple with a great app they provided and they sat down with us for well over an hour a few weeks before the wedding to go over all the details and timeline for the reception. We could not have been more pleased and are thrilled we hired not only a fantastic DJ but wonderful people! We HIGHLY recommend this company!
