We're Josh and Kate — a husband-and-wife wedding photography team based in Snohomish, Washington. We've been doing this together for over 15 years, we've photographed 640+ weddings, and we're still the couple that gets a little teary during first looks. (That's mostly Kate. Josh is behind the other camera pretending he's fine.)
Here's the thing about wedding photography that nobody tells you: the photos you'll care about in 20 years aren't the ones where everyone was perfectly arranged with their hands in exactly the right spot. They're the ones where something real was happening. Your maid of honor whispering "you look incredible" while she fixes your veil. Your partner seeing you for the first time and completely short-circuiting. Your grandma on the dance floor doing something no one expected.
That's what photograph. It's what we've always focused on.
We call our approach documentary-editorial — we're there in the middle of it, catching the moments as they happen, not yanking you away from your cocktail hour for a 45-minute photo session in a field somewhere. When we do portraits, they're efficient, relaxed, and look like you — not like you're auditioning for a stock photo.
Our editing philosophy is something we call Color Integrity. Your wedding photos should look like your wedding looked. Real skin tones. Accurate colors. No heavy-handed filters, no orange-everyone, no desaturated moodiness that'll look dated in three years. We edit for timelessness because your photos should hold up for decades, not just for the Instagram algorithm this month.
The experience and logistics stuff, since that matters too: 640+ weddings across over 100 venues in the greater Seattle and Snohomish County area. We know the venues — the good light spots, the backup plans when the PNW decides to PNW, the timelines that actually work versus the ones that look good on paper. We've been featured in HuffPost, Style Me Pretty, and PNW Weddings, we've earned WeddingWire Couples' Choice awards for 10+ consecutive years, and we're members of the Snohomish Wedding Guild. We publish our pricing right on our website because we think your time is worth more than a guessing game.
We're not for everyone, and we're genuinely okay with that. If you want heavy posing, trendy filters, and a photographer who disappears for an hour with your bridal party — there are great people who do that. Because Kate and Josh were and are right there to ensure it’s captured just as you’d remember it. But photography is not just what you’d get from them. Kate is very prepared to handle so many random factors that could occur day of. Need to bustle your dress really quick? Kate’s right there to do it. Button from your coat jacket fell off? Kate will expertly fix it. Have an idea in your head for photos that you can’t quite put into words? Kate and Josh will help bring it to life. Plus they got our sneak peeks to us by the next day!
Truly, Kate and Josh are a great team and very personable. You can tell that they are cohesive partners who just “get it.” And despite only having a few meetings and a full day with them, we felt very comfortable with them and felt that they truly want to get to know your story as a couple. They also work amazingly with our wedding coordinator and videographers. We loved GSquared and we’re certain you’d love them too. Also, if you do go with GSquared, they provide you with a questionnaire for who you’d like to have group photos with, which is so very helpful day of your wedding so that you can ensure you get those group photos with your guests.

ofessional, efficient, and somehow make taking hundreds of pictures feel effortless. They know exactly how to pose people and do an amazing job working with all kinds of personalities—which, let’s be honest, is a huge skill when it comes to wedding parties and family photos!
One moment perfectly sums up Kate’s dedication. While she was taking my getting-ready photos, she was moving quickly to stay out of the videographers’ way when one of her light stands hit a ceiling light. The entire light fixture fell and landed directly on top of her head. It had to have hurt, but she barely reacted and just kept working like nothing had happened. We were all much more concerned than she was! Her professionalism and commitment were honestly incredible.
Beyond taking amazing photos, Kate and Josh made our entire wedding day run so much smoother. They weren’t just photographers—they were constantly looking for ways to help. Kate brought us drinks, removed a stain from my wedding dress, glued my necklace so it would stay in place for photos, had extra bobby pins for my daughter’s hair, carried my lip gloss and slippers throughout the day, helped transport supplies to the venue, and was always asking what else she could do to make things easier for us.
Kate was also an incredible resource throughout the planning process. She offered helpful timeline suggestions, guidance on engagement photo outfits, family photo templates, and so many little tips that made the day feel organized and stress-free. She truly went above and beyond every expectation we had for a wedding photographer and, honestly, could double as an amazing day-of coordinator.

Their work is amazing, their souls adventurous, and their spirits, kind. Kate coordinated a wedding the weekend before ours, and was going to shoot an entire wedding the very day after ours, and stays busy in between those monumental days, posting beautiful photos of engagement shoots, family shoots, fun holiday setups, the list goes on.. Kate is passionate about her work, and it is evident from the caliber of photos she puts out. We joked about not knowing when she has time to sleep.. to which Kate responded, "I'm a glutton for punishment, but I TRULY LOVE what I get to do."

Having a 2-person team of photographers at our wedding was extremely helpful in order to capture every meaningful moment, as well as two different perspectives of the same shot. Some of my favorite photos are the ones of us reading our vows – photos from behind the bride, showing the groom’s emotions, and vice versa. This wouldn’t have been able to be done with just one photographer!

On the day of our wedding, we were getting rained out and it was a stressful day. But Kate made sure to assure me that our photos were coming out beautifully even indoors, and made sure we got all the shots we were hoping for. The wedding world isn't lying when they say your photographer is who you spend the most time with outside of your spouse, and it was both easy and assuring to have Kate nearby. Any concern or request she was there to help us prep for - my husband even told me after the wedding that Kate never said no to me when I had requests and just did her best to make it all work out! It's also incredible to have two photographers because now we have photos from different perspectives; while we were taking family photos with Kate, Josh grabbed pictures of our guests having a good time. edding team. In our first call with Kate (over Zoom due to Covid), she did an incredible job of helping us understand what to expect on our wedding day (not just with photography). We were already impressed by GSquared's work & reviews, but chatting with Kate made hiring GSquared truly a no brainer for us.
Soon after booking, our original reception venue decided to not honor our contract, leaving us with 6 months before our wedding to find a new venue. Kate not only gave us several recommendations, but this experience opened our eyes to the WEALTH of knowledge Kate & Josh have shared through their website. Their website became the first (and usually only) place we need to look any time we had a wedding question, including engagement shoot ideas, family photo lists, and the process of changing my name post-wedding.
The engagement shoot was a great way for us to get to know Kate & Josh before our wedding and they helped us prepare for a wonderful wedding day. Behind the scenes, Kate & Josh were also instrumental in helping the day run smoothly; Kate worked tirelessly to make sure we could take photos at picturesque spots throughout our venue (despite the venue telling us late about the need for a permit), Kate & Josh helped us make up time during our wedding to stay on schedule when the ceremony started late, and Kate even taught a group of us how to repair my bustle when it broke at the start of the reception.

ient for me, though Kate made it clear I could reach out to her however worked best. She included us as part of her picture community and we had access to all kinds of fun material and ideas. We had a couple of hiccups in our planning process and Kate helped us so much along the way. She helped us with our timeline making incredible suggestions for photos, times, locations etc. Then, the day of our wedding, my flowers didn’t show up. So, I went to another florist and bought every spare stem they had and put together bouquets for my wedding party. All the bridesmaids’ flowers were great but mine were lackluster. Kate came in and volunteered to help. And help, she did!! She made my mediocre flowers a stunning spread! Mad skills! Then, she and Josh handled our large family, wedding party and allowed me to capitalize their whole day with travel through Glacier National Park, just for on-site adventurous photos, away from the ceremony. The day, and our photos, could not have gone any better, she and Josh were so amazing, so friendly, so professional, so kind and helpful and understanding. Their creativity flowed through in everything we did. And their eye for adventure supplemented our own so nicely. I can’t sing the praises of Kate and Josh nearly enough. No review I could ever give could express how happy and impressed we are with them or how very much they are liked and appreciated.

to help us begin the process. Gsquared had an option for us to block 3 dates for 30 days until we had a venue locked down and date selected. That was a great option for us since we were so early in the planning process. Gsquared was the first vendor we booked because we loved their pictures so much! Kate, with her prior experience as a wedding planner, sent us a list of venues in our price range to help jump start our planning. Upon selecting a venue Kate sent us lists of vendors (catering companies, DJs, officiants, cake, etc) to ensure that we were looking into reputable companies. We had two days of engagement pictures and got to choose two different locations. Kate was so easy to work with, she watched how we interacted naturally and took pictures that way. The turn around time was quick for our pictures and she does sneak peaks the night of. Kate also sent us information to help with choosing outfits for the engagement sessions so we could look our best. The weeks leading up to the wedding, Kate sent us more information for reference and also sent us a questionnaire so she had that information for the day of. She wanted to understand our story, our personalities and our vision for our wedding and pictures. We met Josh the day of the wedding and he was amazing. Both Kate and Josh helped keep us on track and maintain our sanity in the middle of the craziness leading to the ceremony. Kate jumped in to ensure that things were how we wanted and she ensured that needs were being met. She reminded me to drink water and eat. I am able to speak more about Kate since she was with me all day. My husband said that Josh was same way, very helpful and assisted with everything. Josh and Kate both brought us anything we needed including water and took our plates to our seats. They helped move flowers, bring sparkling cider to guests, coordinated the sparkler exit, everything that was needed. They gave us alone time when needed. A big compliment that guests said was that Kate and Josh were not intrusive, they were able to be hidden but they got amazing pictures! They were instrumental in helping our day be a success, it wouldn’t have gone as smooth without them. I would HIGHLY recommend Gsquared weddings. P.S. The sneak peeks of the pictures are amazing.

GSquared always finds a way to make your pictures look natural, we loved that they incorporated us into the scenery around us, whether that be in the vineyard at our venue, or shooting our engagement pictures in a snow storm. rocess and prep for the big day. Even on the day of, they were immensely helpful with setting up last minute things up in between photo sessions. Kate and Josh went above and beyond their photography roles and took the initiative to help make our day as special as possible. Their talent behind the camera though, truly speaks for itself. The pictures were absolutely amazing and our guests had nothing but compliments to provide. As wonderful as our venue was on its own, Kate and Josh were able to bring it to another level in their pictures and truly make it something special beyond our expectations. To make it even that much sweeter, their prices were very reasonable, with different packages available for engagement and wedding combinations.

On the day of our wedding, I was so nervous and being a hands-on person for project planning, it was making me more anxious not being able to help do busy work to get things done. When Kate arrived at the venue, she immediately made sure I was comfortable and had water, then made sure my bridesmaids, groomsmen and even the staff the venue provided were busy getting things done and getting the venue ready. She did an excellent job keeping everyone moving while making sure to get all the photos of the process. She helped bustle my dress numerous times (it kept coming undone) and probably my FAVORITE part, once we got to the wedding, she knew I really just wanted a beer. At first I was told we didn't have the type of beer I'd requested (no big deal, I took the other beer I knew was there). She brought me the beer, then when she realized my bartender DID have the original beer I requested, she immediately brought it to me, then made sure I never ran out while keeping tabs on how I was feeling. It was like having a photographer, coordinator, mom and best friend all in one package making sure everything went perfectly.
Her helpful hints made it so much easier for my husband and I to be able to enjoy our day, and I knew Kate was watching out for us while getting quality photographs every step of the way. THANK YOU, KATE!

Your wedding photographers are going to spend a lot of time with you the day of the wedding -- so you have to find someone you mesh well with. Both Kate and Josh are so easy to work with, and always are striving to achieve the vision of the bride and groom. I must say, I could not have imagined more perfect wedding photos.
My guests commented that they were 'invisible' the day of the wedding -- which is so perfect, because I hate in your face photographers. They caught such natural images of interaction at our wedding, did their homework about our vision of the wedding, and were personable and professional to boot.
When showing a co-worker my photos she said 'I wish I could get married again so that I can use your photographer, I have never seen such beautiful photos'. I think that pretty much sums it up. Kate and Josh are the best.
