Hawk & Hawthorne

Five Stars, Wonderfully Attuned and Caring Staff, Breathtaking Venue Nestled in Vibrant and Magical Mountains…. We had a DIY wedding and were lucky enough to be directed to this venue by a dear friend who is local to the area. We had a Friday reception with pizza from the pizza oven, Saturday ceremony with happy hours and late night, and Sunday breakfast/brunch with delicious food. We were welcomed to be on the land throughout the weekend and everyone deeply enjoyed the experience! Perks before engaging much with the staff: mostly all inclusive with a staff and venue coordinator who assist and manage most everything, deep connections and referrals to musicians, niche offerings like tea ceremony, etc. Extensive staff: bartenders, barbacks,  sound/tech staff, chef, golf cart driver….  The only things we brought in were: a day of coordinator, silent disco, flowers and vases, and our cakes…. Everything else was sourced in house based upon the package we purchased. The staff! Goodness we were so cared for from the extra food that staff brought to the honeymoon suit so we had a late night snacks and cake, to the deep care of the venue coordinator who walked with us into the micro specifications of a DIY wedding… the joy and tender heartedness of the folks here and their happiness to be in this together was really special… it’s a lifestyle and a way of being that if you know, you know…. The food was delicious, the botanical beverages were stunning, the venue and land were literally a privilege and a blessing to be with and to be blessed by.  The nights were cool and the days were warm and the blue ghost lightening bugs shined on us. Babies played and children ran wild while the millennials danced, drank tea and enjoyed a fire… and our parents and grandparents gathered together in a beautiful reception hall transformed from an old tobacco barn. If you’re looking for a magical, precious and blessed place for your event and to weave it into being with a staff of intentional, bright hearted, and joyous folks this is the place! What a pleasure to invest in Hawk and Hawthorne and to be in reciprocity with what they’ve created and tend. Everything was honestly, perfect.  If you’re oriented to communing with nature, good hearted folks, want the freedom to do it your way and be supported in your dreams by their visionary staff… choose this place.  Honestly, if you’ve found it it’s probably already chosen you too. Better than you could dream it! My wife and I attended a beautiful ceremony here and it was hands down one of the most magical and picturesque venues we’ve ever had the pleasure of experiencing. A perfect balance of ecological allure and Appalachian charm. This place has truly raised the bar on the details that matter most. The breathtaking views and unparalleled aesthetics felt like they were cultivated with the single intention of bringing forth as much love and joy as possible within each and every person we saw there. And ohhhh my gosh,  every friggin picture we saw was just incredible, it’s like every moment was just draped in as much beauty as it could hold. It added a dimension that I hadn’t known was missing from our own wedding! I can’t recommend this place enough, just right for ceremony and for celebration.
