When I first did a consultation with Alexis from Hedonia, I didn’t give her a whole lot to work with except “colorful,” but my goodness did she flesh it out and deliver! We had a small wedding party and few florals during the ceremony, but Alexis was so fantastic putting together and tweaking proposals and walking me through different options with total transparency. I never felt like I was being pushed to add anything or to max out the upper limit of our budget, and Alexis made it incredibly comfortable to keep the conversation open until we settled on a final proposal. I mostly wanted florals to add color to the more neutral reception space, and Alexis helped to put together a combination of centerpieces and a beautiful sweetheart table hedge that made the space vibrant and stunning. She also came to our venue walkthrough which was so appreciated, and suggested repurposing at the end of the aisles during the ceremony, which ended up being a great decision. Hedonia, and Alexis, provided us with gorgeous personal flowers and a picture perfect chuppah, and were so helpful and supportive throughout the process. They stepped in at the last minute with our chuppah when our original plan fell through and provided an easy and affordable solution to our wedding week mishap. They worked with us to make our DIY centerpieces perfect - thoughtfully laying them out and being willing to work with our vision. Hedonia was an integral part to making our wedding day a beautiful one (even in a deluge) - thank you. Their pricing is also very reasonable, with no minimum which was important to us, and with a student discount!

After using Hedonia Flowers for our June 2023 wedding, we can’t recommend them enough. Going into our wedding, neither of us had very strong ideas or visions for our floral decor. We only knew that we didn’t want anything too showy or complicated, and that we didn’t want to spend an outrageous amount. Hedonia’s transparent pricing was so helpful for getting a better idea of what choices we could make with our budget. We worked with Alexis to put together a proposal; she was so kind and advised us through picking out a color palette to match our venue and the vibe we were going for and making decisions about what we wanted for arrangements. We ended up going for small arrangements and bud vases in jewel tones interspersed with votives, keeping everything low key but bright and fun. Just as we were working on finalizing everything about a month before our wedding, our venue added an installation for creating hanging arrangements above the bar; Alexis was happy to accommodate our request to add a hanging arrangement and came up with some great ideas based just on a few Pinterest photos of what we thought we wanted. When it came to the day-of, we were absolutely blown away by what they had created when left to their own devices with almost no instruction from us. Everything was stunning and exactly fit the bright, fun vibe that we were going for. For people who had never really cared or thought much about flowers, the floral arrangements, especially the hanging installation above the bar, ended up being one of our favorite parts. Incredible work from Hedonia Flowers!

Alexis and Hedonia Flowers were absolutely amazing for our wedding day! From the start, Alexis was super kind and easy to work with. We told her our vision and budget and she executed so perfectly. I LOVED our bouqets and the bud vases and candles along our farm tables were just perfect! I would absolutely recommend Hedonia Flowers!

Hedonia Flowers was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding. Christen and her team are incredible to work with – they are extremely responsive and beyond creative. They took our vision and made it 1000x better than I could have imagined. I had a very distinct vision for my centerpieces and they were able to quickly schedule a meeting to review a structure mock-up my dad put together before he built all 25 of them. And the day of the wedding, I didn’t have a single worry because we had such a clear plan going into it, they helped ease my type A mind. Overall, they were just such a joy to work with and I would recommend them 1000x over!!

Honestly, I don’t even know where to begin. Working with Alexis was one of the best experiences we had while planning our wedding. Floral can be very expensive and overwhelming but we felt respected, valued and heard each step of the way. She was flexible with changes and welcomed feedback. My jaw dropped when I saw everything come together- it was more than I ever could have imaged! The entire Hedonia team is amazing and we highly recommend them for your wedding or special event.

Hedonia put together such beautiful florals for us for our wedding. My meeting with Alexis to discuss the vision was probably my favorite part of wedding planning; it was so great discussing color, tone, texture, shape etc with an expert like them! Alexis took the ideas I had and really made them into something special that exceeded my dreams! The day of delivery was seamless and the arrangements lasted another couple of days after the wedding, even after all that they had been through!

I wish I could give them 4.5 stars. Almost everything was great. I will start with the negatives so it's easier for people scanning The Knot. There are a few things I didn't like. 1) I was clear about my desire for the bridal bouquet to have a good amount of greenery and be lush and textured. The bouquet I actually received was quite pretty but did not have the amount of green texture that I had envisioned. 2) I received a text from the hotel telling me that our bouquets were delivered to the front desk. This was a shock to me. I had expected someone from Hedonia to contact me or my mother in law (they requested a secondary contact) but no one did. I mean, what's the point in asking for a secondary contact if you plan to contact exactly no one on the wedding day? 3) Something seems to have been a bit off with getting the arch floral arranged. There were working on setting up the ceremony space until like 2 minutes before the ceremony was to begin. As a result our guests were standing outside the room until approximately 4:58. The ceremony floral did look super great in the end! Now info on the things I liked about working with Hedonia. The initial phone call and the process of emailing back and forth hashing out the proposal was good. This is one of a few florists I contacted that were also able to provide a circular "moongate" arch which was very important to me. So if that is part of your wedding vision you may want to work with Hedonia. I loved how transparent Christen was about ways to save money and repurpose ceremony flowers at the reception (this was easy for us as everything was at the same venue and on the same floor). On the actual wedding day the color palette was great. I was super impressed with the flowers on the arch, they were better than I imagined! The table centerpieces were also better than I expected! I wanted geometric glass pieces with flowers in them, and Hedonia provided them all in different shapes and they were beautiful. Overall a great experience and they provided beautiful flowers. Even with some things to maybe improve upon, I would recommend them to my friends and family.

Christen and her team were wonderful to work with. Our conversations left me confident that our flowers would turn out great -- and they did! We were really happy with how everything looked. All of the arrangements followed the color scheme we suggested and were creatively composed (flowers were different sizes and textures, as is the Hedonia style!). I was especially happy with my bouquet. Thank you!!

Hedonia was incredible to work with every step of the way, and the arrangements they put together for my wedding last weekend were stunning! Alexis took the (very little!) information I gave her about what I was looking for and created the most beautiful bouquets, boutonnières and arch floral that fit the winter season and my wedding aesthetic perfectly. She was also really understanding of my budget and helped create a proposal that fit what I could spend, incorporating greenery and candles into our decor. Working with Alexis made the process so easy and stress-free, and I can't say enough how blown away I was by the final product. She and her team made my day so special and I couldn't recommend them more highly!

When we wanted to make changes, notably switching from outdoor ceremony to indoor just days before the wedding, she quickly updated the proposal and plan with positivity and enthusiasm. Every review is 100% true. Christen is absolutely phenomenal, and I would recommend her and her team to anyone who needs florals. When I started planning, I knew that I wanted a floral-heavy wedding. I have been heavily influenced by gorgeous centerpieces on Pinterest, and I wanted to incorporate some of those ideas into the wedding. I love that Christen wanted a mood-board for the event and she was able to run with it and create my dream proposal. I feel so lucky that my vision was able to come to life in a cost-effective way. From day one, Christen was incredibly kind and responsive. She sketched up designs when I couldn't articulate or find what I was looking for (which made for a stunning chuppah), she checked in often, and she was transparent every step of the way. I fully teared up when I arrived at the venue on the day of the wedding because the team absolutely blew my mind. I wish I could work with her all over again.

I could not be happier that I worked with Christen! She is so incredibly kind and easy to work with. I was very picky on the design of my chuppah so I probably contacted her a dozen times over it. She was super patient with me and when I saw the chuppah day of, I was truly blown away! Everything was SO beautiful. She went above and beyond on things I didn't even ask for. And I thought her prices were extremely reasonable. I can't recommend Hedonia enough!

I can't say enough good things about working with Alexis and the whole Hedonia team. Alexis understood my vision immediately and truly exceeded expectations at every turn. Christen and her team at Hedonia are AMAZING! They are so talented and really made my vision come to life. I had a good idea of what I wanted in my head but a tough time articulating it and yet Christen totally nailed it. I think I only sent her 3-4 pictures and you'd think she was in my brain based on what she came up with! You must not sleep on Hedonia for your wedding or any event. Christen and her team are talented florists, and brought their magic to our wedding. They created the most beautiful colors and arrangements that complemented our venue and palette which brought warmth and liveliness to our wedding just as we requested. My bouquet, bridesmaid bouquets, and altar pieces were absolutely stunning. We had rings surrounding the chandeliers and Christen added greenery touches which brought elegance to our day. I sincerely recommend Hedonia for your wedding and any event because they will slay. We could not have been happier with how all our flowers turned out for our wedding! The communication with Christen and her team leading up to our big day was great - all details were set so the day of our wedding was extremely smooth. We explained our vision and Hedonia delivered 100%. The arch for our ceremony was beautiful and looked stunning in pictures. Guests commented on how lovely the flowers looked. We were looking for something moody but still summery since we had a July wedding and I couldn't have asked for anything better! I liked that the pricing was upfront and visible so there were no surprises when it came time to finalize everything. My big vision for our wedding was asymmetrical floral pillars for our ceremony and when I saw them come to life on our wedding day I honestly gasped with joy. They were STUNNING and even more beautiful than I had imagined. Not only that, but our bouquets were perfect - perfect color, perfect flower choices, perfect size, perfect shape. I can't even describe how incredible Hedonia Flowers was for our wedding. From first contact through contract through the wedding itself, Christen and her team knocked it out of the park. Hedonia Flowers literally made all my dreams come true. Christen (the owner) is the sweetest, MOST TALENTED, amazing, and kind human - I am obsessed with her! I met with Christen at her insanely adorable studio a few times over the course of the wedding planning process. The first time I came in, I immediately felt her excitement for my vision and ideas. I wanted a whimsical, fairytale, muted pastel, garden vibe, and I got that and so much more! She helped me create the perfect balance of romance and whimsy, and guided me on what flowers to use, how many candles to have, and how to design the larger pieces for my event like the Chuppah and the large, beautiful staircase at my venue. I wanted a larger Chuppah than they had available, and Christen and her team BUILT ONE FROM SCRATCH. Everything was an absolute dream and Hedonia Flowers should be your first and only choice for any event you are having. Words cannot describe how amazing Christen and her team are. If you are reading this review, stop scrolling and HIRE HEDONIA. They made our wedding BEAUTIFUL and the planning process easy. Here are the many reasons I loved them: - Hedonia provides pricing upfront, unlike many florists (and let’s be honest, many wedding vendors in general). I found their pricing to be reasonable for the Chicago market and the value for money incredible considering the beautiful flowers they are able to source. - Christen and her team are a dream to work with. Communication was easy and Christen offered helpful suggestions and refined my vision into a clear, executable plan. We took an opportunity to meet her in her studio and get a sample arrangement, and she was LOVELY in person. The care they put into the work clearly shows and it made us comfortable and relaxed putting our wedding in Hedonia’s hands!! - The day of execution… it was beyond my wildest dreams!! When it comes to flowers, I tried to keep my expectations reasonable … between weather and the supply chain, you can never really guarantee how your flowers are going to turn out… but when my personal flowers arrived I nearly cried with joy! Christen and her team executed perfectly and even secured some of the most beautiful peonies for my late June wedding (which I convinced myself would be a long shot). When we got to the venue, I was blown away at how the team arranged the beautiful ceremony and reception flowers. From the table flowers and candles to the flower accents on the escort display, Hedonia went above and beyond to make the space beautiful and better than I could have imagined. Christen and her team did an AMAZING job on our wedding. Flowers were the one thing in my wedding that I've dreamt of since my childhood. From our first conversation, Christen was open, approachable, and worked to understand exactly what I wanted for my wedding. We had a firm budget, and some other florists had already made us feel like we wouldn't be able to do what envisioned. Christen made it work and more. She was creative and fun, and everything turned out even better than I had hoped. She is a true artist and a genuinely nice person. I cannot recommend Hedonia enough. Stop searching through the gazillion ho-hum florists in Chicago and book with Hedonia Flowers! I booked Hedonia for my 10/16/21 wedding at Revolution's Brewer's Lounge in Logan Square and could not be happier with how they transformed the space into a magical fall wedding wonderland. I was looking for a florist who would bring a unique vision and style to my wedding flowers, and Hedonia 100 percent delivered. Every piece that Hedonia created truly captured my vision of a cozy and vibrant fall wedding. On a side note, I really appreciate that even during Covid, Hedonia does not have a minimum price point that they start at to consider working with you. I think this really highlights their team's willingness to work with all sorts couples, budgets and events. Truly a great team to work with!

Christen & the team at Hedonia were the absolute most perfect florist choice for my husband and I. Neither of us were particularly concerned with having a ton of flowers, and set a more limited budget for ourselves. Where other florists told us it wasn't possible, or totally disregarded our budget in their proposals, Christen was completely willing to work with us. She actually listened to what we wanted, was open about what we could do to work within our budget, and ultimately executed exactly everything we were looking for. Hedonia Flowers was so easy to work with an really took our wedding to the next level! When I first spoke to Christen, I was super unsure of the direction I wanted to go with for florals, so I gave her a vague idea of my thoughts for the wedding. Our flowers were amazing! Hedonia did an absolutely fantastic job listening to us and bringing our vision to life better than we could have possibly imagined! She incorporated kitchen herbs for our chef groom to make something non-traditional that popped! Christen and her team delivered a floral masterpiece for my daughter’s wedding. She listened to what my daughter envisioned and it was just jaw dropping. We could not have been more pleased with her and the job they did.

Christen was AWESOME! Like so many impacted by Covid this year, we decided to downsize our wedding to bridal party and family only. Christen was immediately accommodating and helped us to rework and tweak our vision presenting everything in a beautiful proposal. Our flowers and ceremony/reception decor were all delivered on time and the flowers were simply beautiful! Oh my goodness, talk about getting our colors just perfect and the gorgeous arrangements. She made the process seamless. I will recommend her over and over again!

Where do I even begin? I literally had tears in my eyes on our wedding day when Christen brought the bridesmaids bouquets and bridal bouquet to our suite! From the very first phone call I had with Christen, I thought this girl can get along with anyone. She took my vision (I really lacked in describing floral design) and made our day so magical, beautiful, dreamy, and romantic. The proposal she sent was the most beautiful and you could tell so much thought went into it. Not to mention, we were planning this all during Covid. I can’t recommend Christen and her team enough. Absolutely phenomenal work and a dream to work with. Always prompt, delightful and so helpful with all my questions. My wedding was rescheduled in the middle of COVID and she was a breeze and so accommodating. Hedonia flowers nailed my vision and I will recommend them to every and anyone looking for flowers! My wedding ceremony and reception was stunning and in large parts thanks to her!!

Christen was very helpful and understanding when my fiance and I had to cancel our wedding due to COVID. Unfortunately, I haven't been able to see Hedonia's work in person (I live out of state), but from the portfolio and caring demeanor, I am sure that the product is top-notch quality.

The short version: Book Hedonia. I had zero complaints, experienced innumerable positive surprises and delighted gasps, and had just the most comfortable and pleasant experience working with her. If you want jaw-dropping results at an incredible price with no drama, work with Christen. But I get it, flowers are always pretty, and most wedding reviews are glowing, so how do you know what to do when you have to choose a florist and just want the endless decisions to BE OVER, PLEASE CAN THIS ALL JUST BE DONE? So here are the biggest things that set Christen apart from all the rest: *The sheer gorgeousness/quality: Come on. My flowers are STUNNING. I felt like a pre-Raphaelite garden nymph traipsing about with an armload of deliciously fragrant blooms. The cascade bouquet took my breath away. My photographer couldn't get enough, and people kept wanting to hold it for me. I repurposed it as decor for my sweetheart table, and it stole the show. She nailed all the damn inspiration photos I sent her. Christen...you are a genius. And 6 days later, my bouquet was still PERFECT. I hung it in my hallway to dry while I went on my mini-moon, and even dehydrated, this thing is pretty beyond belief. It's STILL hanging in our hallway! My husband has to duck every time he wants to enter or exit the kitchen and he doesn't even care! It's that purty. *Willingness to go beyond: She was more than happy to work with materials I brought, including glassware and candles, and even made sourcing suggestions (including Dollar Tree--a gal after my own heart, especially as a glass cylinder from DT and one from Pier One look EXACTLY THE SAME). She also decorated a copper arch that our planner had on hand, attached custom charms to corsages, personalized ribbon colors, hand-wired orchids to barettes, the works. There was zero drama about timeline. She knew when she was expected, got there on time, and had an awesome attitude, offering to stick around, busying herself while she waited for other vendors, etc. She also attended the final walk-through, despite the fact that my wedding was a low-budget affair. Also, things got dramatic and hectic as I was getting ready, and she literally HELPED ME GET INTO MY DRESS. I mean, wow, that was not in the contract but boy, did I ever appreciate it. *Budget-friendly: Hedonia is affordable with no sacrifice of quality, and furthermore, Christen is COMPLETELY TRANSPARENT about what flowers cost. You do not need to go through the full-on interview process to find out what to expect. Just check her website! She was also great about brainstorming ways to keep things cheap. In the end, the price undercut all her competitors--SIGNIFICANTLY. *Personality: Christen was SO flexible, so easy to work with, incredibly low drama, quirky/funny, and just so sweet! Thoughtful, approachable, clear, and supremely organized. The second I shook her hand at the walk-through, I just went, "oh, okay, clearly this is going to be just fine." She has that intangible calm and cool about her. Ugh, you are so nice, Christen. What a wonderful experience. Please don't spend forever and a day asking and answering questions about flowers like I did. I want better things for you. Book Hedonia and have the same fun and gloriously ethereal experience I did.

Honestly stop researching florists and pick Christen at Hedonia Flowers immediately! You will love every step of working with her. I gathered a few floral proposals and Christen's was by far my favorite. She made a beautiful proposal deck based on the information I had given her about my vision complete with pictures and pricing. I loved her proposal and knew I wanted to work with her, but when I met with her I knew without a doubt that she was our florist. She immediately got my vision and was excited about my color palate and I truly felt she just 'got me'. Not to mention - her shop is absolutely gorgeous! At our wedding, our flowers and all of the arrangements were so beyond gorgeous and everything I wanted and then some!! I was beyond thrilled and got so many compliments about how beautiful all of the floral arrangements were. Not only is Christen incredibly talented, she is so much fun to work with and I promise you'll be thrilled by her work!!

I had NO idea what I wanted for flowers and Christen offered advice and suggestions that ended up being perfect!!! She understood what we were trying to achieve and knew exactly what we needed!! I didnt have a large budget and she was very friendly and professional to work within our budget and suggest ideas within our price point. It was a great experience, would definitely recommend!!

Christen is not only creative with exquisite taste but was also so much fun. The flowers transformed our venue, with everything from big structural arrangement to a mixture of fabulous centerpieces and side table bouquets. She captured the elegant-natural feel we wanted. But, most remarkable was her flexibility and generosity. We had planned to set up the huppah/wedding arch beforehand, but got delayed because our house burned (I am not kidding). Christen leapt to our rescue and constructed it herself, climbing a ladder in an elegant black dress and adding impromptu bouquets. It all worked out, the room smelled so wonderful and looked breathtaking. Thank you so!!

Christen put together the most incredible bouquets, boutonnières, and centerpieces for our wedding. She perfectly understood our vision and really ran with it - she is so creative and put together such a beautiful, cohesive fall theme. She was responsive and a pleasure to work with, revising our proposal a few times when some nuances changed. Finally, I have to mention the amazing job she did with the staircase at the Newberry Library - I was kind of vague with what we wanted, and she exceeded all expectations when she made it look magical for our entrance into the reception with candles and greenery!

Christen was truly a joy to work with. She juggled frequent incoming communication (aka opinions, revisions, and requests) from myself (the bride) and my mother, and executed everything just perfectly. I couldn't be more pleased with how our personal bouquets, center pieces, lanterns, and copper arch turned out. Her and her team were crucial in our wonderful wedding day!

Christen is amazing. She was one of our favorite people to work with and she really turned our vision into reality. We really hit it off from the first meeting. Christen is so personable and welcoming and really helped us create the feel of the wedding that we knew we wanted, but weren't sure how to accomplish. She really ended up being our main source for decor (providing our aisle runner and the candle arrangements we used for our table centerpieces...among other things), and we couldn't have been happier with the results. Her team built us a beautiful chuppah and didn't even bat an eye when we said we wanted to deconstruct the front arch after the ceremony for use during the reception. She also found out that I had a particular rose bush that grew outside my window as a child, and she researched and incorporated that rose into her designs. It was a personal touch that meant a lot to me! Christen is very flexible and will work around your schedule when you are planning. She came to where I lived in order to meet with me, which was so valuable. Thanks for everything, Christen! It wouldn't have been the same wedding without you.

Working with Christen to create my bridal and bridesmaid bouquets was a dream! I came to Christen with an oh-so-specific request: to make my bouquets using silk flowers I had already purchased. While other florists turned me away, Christen told me she appreciated my gumption, and she was up for the challenge. Better yet, she was able to do so at a price that fit my budget. During the two visits to her shop I also got to spy on her living-florals projects, and can confirm they were beautiful.

Christen was so accommodating and helpful in the process of designing our flowers. I procrastinated on hiring a florist as I’m not extremely knowledgeble and felt super intimidated. I’d had several consultations and nobody seemed to click until I found Hedonia. Christen understood my vision immediately and explained it better than I could. She was very upfront and honest about pricing and quality control, and extremely quick with her beautiful proposal. She took the very little direction I gave and executed everything perfectly, the compliments were endless. The piece I was most concerned with was my floral crown, but it was absolutely the focal point of all the flowers. It lasted the entire night and my stylist asked for the name of the florist so she could recommend her moving forward because the crown was built so well and was so easy to use. I would, and will, recommend Hedonia to anyone!

Hedonia has the best people! Other florists took weeks to return mty emails, but they always responded right away. They're also the only florist I've ever seen that puts their pricing online. I wanted a romantic garden wedding that still felt modern and fun - the team is young and cool (but not obnoixiously so) so I was comfortable letting them work their magic. We had arrangements with dahlias, roses, and lots of greenery that looked gorgeous in gold vases. All in all, we spent around $3K for bouquets, ceremony & reception decor, and delivery, and we got a LOT of impact for that amount! Everything was so pretty and just perfect. Book them now!!!

Hedonia Flowers did a wonderful job with my wedding flowers. We wanted a full, romantic look with lots of candlelight in a color palette of blush, cream, and gold. I didn't know quite how all the pieces would fit together so Christen really helped fill in the details with a mix of tall, low, and candle centerpieces with an amazingly gorgeous head table. She was very responsive to emails and put together a stunning proposal for me. My bouquet was INCREDIBLE and I received so many compliments on the big day. I went with Hedonia Flowers after seeing the amazing job they did at my friend's wedding. My wedding was a totally different style but they still knocked it out of the park! The flowers were gorgeous and I appreciated the thoughtful touches like an extra bouttoniere for my fiance in case it got squished from all the hugging.
