the wedding went so well! Our ceremony was supposed to be outside but it was raining & storming all day so last minute, we decided to move the ceremony into the reception tent. While the weather certainly did change some plans last minute, Craig adapted as if we had planned for this all along. When I showed up to the venue, Craig was already there and set up, and already had the microphone ready to go for the ceremony. He checked in a few times with us to make sure he knew the cues of when to start/stop certain music, and it was perfect! At one point, it was pouring rain sideways and getting into the tent seams, but Craig was prepared with some plastic sheets to cover the equipment, and nobody even noticed what was going on until we looked over - a true professional! The sound levels, speakers, music choices, and lights were all spectacular and exactly what we wanted. Craig played all our must-plays, respected our do-not-plays, and kept the good vibes going! We even had a few niche songs on our must-plays list, but Craig downloaded them ahead of time to make sure we had everything. He also did an amazing job emceeing everything, he made a couple funny jokes where it was appropriate, and he was very flexible when a few extra people decided to give speeches (that we had no clue about). We couldn't have picked a better wedding DJ and we will certainly be recommending High Energy DJ's to our friends & family for their upcoming events.

dent heading into the day that everything would run smoothly. The only thing that made us nervous beforehand was the phone call the week before to discuss the schedule of the day and song choices. During this call, there were a few comments made that felt pretty judgmental of our song choices. We also had all of our guests give song requests when they rsvp’d, so it was important to me that these were played throughout the night. However, the dj said “there will be songs that will probably clear the dance floor. Let the DJ use his professional experience in deciding which ones to play”. We explained to him though that we’d want these songs played during dinner and dessert, not just on the dance floor. We also told him that only some of our guests would enjoy the dance floor anyway. Come the wedding day, I met the dj exactly three minutes before I was supposed to be walking down the aisle when he said that my songs weren’t able to be played. One was a meaningful Christian song for when we did a “cord of three strands” braiding and had our parents pray over us, and he followed up with the excuse that “sorry, Scott (the owner) isn’t very religious”. He asked for a backup song to play, and then couldn’t even play that song. Instead, he played an instrumental song that was very upbeat and dramatic, which didn’t fit that sentimental moment whatsoever. He also couldn’t play our favorite country song as we exited the ceremony together. I’m so thankful we had my someone playing the piano while I walked down the aisle, otherwise I’m sure that song wouldn’t have been correct either. Thankfully as the bride and groom, you’re distracted enough to not let these issues ruin the day. However, we were repeatedly bothered throughout our reception. Once again, we expected that he would follow the detailed schedule we created together the week prior. Every 15-20 minutes we would be interrupted with questions about what to do next and the order of events. We will give him some credit though- when we instructed him to do something, he did a great job of following through and interacting with the crowd. He dismissed each table for food which was unexpected and appreciated, and he was very friendly. We also appreciated that after the ceremony, Scott showed up to apologize and explain to us that apparently there was an error with their system while trying to play our songs. I just don’t get how this happens, however, when our songs are very popular and can easily be found on all music platforms. One last thing that also really disappointed us was when the dj made a brief comment about our dry wedding to my dad, and told him that the first thing he was gonna go do after the wedding was get a drink. This is extremely unprofessional and we once again felt judged for our wedding decisions.

J for the night and I cannot speak highly enough of him. He was prompt, kept us in the loop with absolutely everything. He kept our night on track and helped move things along efficiently. They played the typical songs you would hear at a wedding, but were also able to play songs that would not normally be in a typical playlist. I would recommend them to anyone looking for a DJ!

up for the reception after. He was great at listening to what we wanted and made sure to ask clarifying questions during the night to make sure everything went smoothly. I've had so many people tell me that Wes was the best DJ they've ever had at a wedding. He got people involved, jumped on the dance floor to show everyone how to do the wobble, and brought hats and props for a dance game. I'd recommend Wes to anyone looking for a great DJ. Communication with High Energy DJ's was great throughout the entire wedding planning process. Scott took a phone call in the beginning of the process to field some quick questions from me and then called a week before to set up final details. I was a little worried when I still hadn't received a time for a final phone call 7 days before the ceremony, but Scott contacted me the next day and it all worked out. My only complaint was the fact that the entire process was a little low-tech. The phone call the week before to iron out details seemed a little clunky and I would have preferred filling out a form online with all of the song names and details for each part of the ceremony and reception. Overall, I would highly recommend High Energy DJ's to anyone looking for a fun and affordable DJ option.

ed - they have a ton of options and clearly have a lot of experience with weddings. They kept very true to our intended vibe - informal and happy. They provided mics for the ceremony and speeches, did announcements for when the next event was happening, and had disco lights that made the dance floor feel like a real party. Craig kept everyone dancing all night long, and he even danced himself behind the DJ booth! He was so professional and friendly, and the event was a great success. Thanks Craig!

Our dance floor was full the entire night, thanks to Scott! He also did the sound/music for our outdoor ceremony, which we had zero problems during and the sound was perfect. Working with Scott Q to plan went very well too. While they highly recommend the interactive games, we opted not to do them and they accommodated our wishes. I definitely recommend High Energy Mobile DJs, and their cost was unbeatable. We were very satisfied with our choice!

He calls the week of or week before to ensure that all of your important songs and requests are noted ahead of time and ready to be fulfilled. WONDERFUL AND GENUINELY NICE GUY. On their website, they list the names of their DJ’s with a little background information. We requested Scott “Rugger” for his background and like for classic country. Let me tell you, I am so happy he was our DJ. He was so polite and entertained the entire crowd from ages 1 to 80. Everyone is still commenting about just how great the DJ service was at our wedding. With High Energy DJ, you don’t have to dread the hassle of knowing what is suppose to be happening at each time. The DJ will tell you when it’s time for Grand March, speeches, first dance, and all the other important parts during his time. He kept everything on track and kept the dance floor full from start to finish with people that claim to “not like dancing.” Seriously, I would recommend this DJ service to anyone. They are located out of Sun Prairie but will travel. As I said, their prices are beyond reasonable for the amount of effort and greatness they provide. My husband and I are so grateful to have hired a company that has compassion for the services they provide. Even though countless other things went wrong that we’re out of our control, the one thing that we can say was perfect was the DJ and entertainment.

Kelsie set up in record time, and was able to take requests while also playing songs that appealed to my guests aging from 3-98! We didn’t go with the High Energy Dance package and also didn’t play any games or do a bouquet toss, but we had an awesome time with a few Arabic songs that we’d requested. Seeing that the crowd had really enjoyed those songs, Kelsie played them again or looped them without us even having to ask. She also checked in with us throughout the night and I really couldn’t have hoped for a better night. If you’re hesitating, don’t! The website may not be fancy, and they don’t boast about any equipment or video packages, but they know what they’re doing and will do whatever you ask.

Craig was a wonderful MC and DJ and kept things running throughout the night. The first dance gift was a lovely touch as well.
