We could not have picked a better photographer to capture our wedding day.
From the moment Alissa and Mike arrived at the venue, they brought a sense of calm (but also hype) that we all needed. We had never met in person before the wedding, but somehow Alissa instantly felt like having the most stellar sister/bestie by my side. She kept the vibes high, made sure the day kept moving, answered random wedding questions, and even bustled my dress and secured my veil. Truly above and beyond what I ever expected from a photographer.
One of the biggest things we wanted on our wedding day was to actually be present for it. We didn't want to spend much time pulled away for photos - we wanted to soak up every moment with each other and our friends and family. Alissa completely got that and was the perfect photographer for us. She captured so many beautiful, genuine moments without ever making us feel like we were being photographed.
When we got our sneak peeks back, I was honestly blown away. There were so many little moments I didn't even realize had been captured - quiet moments between my husband and me, sweet interactions with family, and all the little in-between moments that made the day feel so special. Looking through these photos feels less like flipping through a wedding gallery and more like reliving the day all over again!
And somehow, even though we wanted to keep portraits to a minimum, the portrait sessions we did have ended up being some of my favorite parts of the day. They felt natural, easy, and fun.
I'm so, so happy we chose Honey Lens Photography. Not only are the photos absolutely stunning, but they gave us the ability to relive our wedding day exactly as it happened. I can't imagine trusting those memories with anyone else.
Alissa and Mike are the most perfect husband-wife duo, and they truly helped make our day flow so seamlessly! Even though it was 100 degrees and 25 mph winds - you wouldn't know it from the absolutely gorgeous photos. Alissa was cheerful, upbeat, and organized - making everything go so smoothly. She is all about capturing the essence of your day and who you are as a couple - without hokey, contrived poses - so your love for each other shines through in each image.
