Hot Metal Studio

I was thrilled when I reached out to Tiff about our wedding and she said she was available! Hot Metal Studio shoots gorgeous, true-to-life photos that aren't over-staged and thus feel natural. Tiff was amazing to work with. She is so easy going and light-hearted and made our wedding day breezy by keeping the first look and bridal party photos moving pre-ceremony and by helping to wrangle our preoccupied friends and family for portraits during the cocktail hour. We booked an eight hour package and felt it provided the perfect amount of time for us, since we did everything (getting ready, ceremony, photos, cocktail hour, and reception) at the same venue. Tiff and her assistant, Levi, are just all around awesome. They were really fun to work with, made us laugh a lot (how many photographers sing "Baby Shark" in 100 degree, beaming sunshine to get two flower girls under the age of 4 to pay attention and maybe even crack a smile?!), and still take their job of documenting one of the most important days (for us) seriously. I honestly can't say enough good things about Hot Metal Studio! I can't wait to see our final photos. We recommend Tiff for any event/life moment/anything because she rocks!

Tiffany is a dream to work with. She is easy going and knows how to capture the beautiful moments of couples. She did our wedding and engagement photos and they are stunning. My husband is terrible at smiling on command and all our photos were natural and really showcased us as a couple. I would recommend hot metal studio again and again.

Tiffany did an amazing job for our wedding! You could tell she is highly experienced in the wedding photography field. She was extremely prepared for whatever came next during our wedding. The photos turned out amazing, and more than I could have asked for. When we took the photos they were so swift, I wasn't sure what she would end up with, but I had sooooooo many to choose from. Tiffany is arguably the best photographer in Pittsburgh. Not only are her photos incredible, but she has this amazing ability to really capture a moment. And I don’t mean just the big moments, i mean the little expressions and reactions and special moments that most photographers would just miss. Also the whole team is so much fun and have this incredible calming effect:) Going with hotmetalstudio was definitely one of the best decisions we made:)

Tiffany and Alyssa captured our wedding so beautifully. I found Hot Metal Studio online probably five or six years ago, was blown away by their work and knew I wanted to work with them one day. They were beyond what I could have imagined! They made us feel so comfortable and captured so many amazing moments. We are so, so grateful. Although it was one of the hottest day of the summer and we were all sweating our butts off, we had so much fun goofing around in front of the camera. Do no use Hot Metal Studio! Cancelled on us for no reason. Tiffany (owner) booked another event on our wedding day after we signed a contract and paid the deposit.

Tiffany and Alyssa at Hot Metal Studio were absolutely amazing. They honestly made the day so much fun. I was nervous about being photographed all day long and being really awkward, however, they made everyone so comfortable. We received a teaser image within a week and our full album back within a month. It's been almost 2 months, and each time I look at the photos, I find a new one that I fall in love with. They did such a fantastic job of truly capturing not only the events of the day, but everyone's personalities. I would hire Hot metal Studio again and again!

My husband and I worked with Tif and her team for our New Year's Eve wedding and it was nothing short of perfect! Tif was very flexible and easy to work with, even coming to NYC for our engagement photos. Incredibly responsive throughout the whole planning process. We were a little anxious about our posing abilities for wedding photos but Tif is AMAZING at giving direction without making photos feel forced or cheesy. Perfect mix of doing exactly what you want but also knowing what is best! We could not be happier with how the photos turned out. Each one is more beautiful than the last. We seriously get compliments on them from friends of friends of friends we barely know. Highly recommend!!!

Absolutely the best! My husband and I worked with Alyssa and Roger on our wedding day and we have nothing but positive things to say about these two! We are not exactly photogenic people, and don't always feel comfortable in front of the camera, but we came away with hundreds of beautiful shots, no exaggeration. Instead of being nervous about the photography aspect of the day, we actually had a ton of fun and enjoyed it. In our planning sessions, Alyssa took plenty of time to get to know us and our vision. She's incredibly talented, professional, and so much fun to be around! She and Roger helped everyone to feel comfortable, they work quickly and unobtrusively, and are dedicated to getting amazing, artistic and unique shots that really document the story of your day and let your personality as a couple shine through. So many people have commented after seeing our photos that the true feeling and emotion of each part of the day was captured so well. They go above and beyond, and you can definitely see it in the finished product.

My husband and I couldn't be happier with Tiffany and Jonathan! They were fun to work with, made us feel comfortable and took us on an adventure to get the best shots. Also through out the planning stages Tiffany was quick to respond to any question I had. I haven't even seen all the photos yet but I am so happy with our decision to book them. We were more than fortunate to have Alyssa and her team during this process. She was most helpful and incredibly accommodating, even holding my ESA dog, Chloe, during photos, if needed. If you want the best photos you could ever dream of from your wedding look no further. Tif and Jonathan are a dream team. They both have such a talent and are able to capture the best in the moment shots. My husband and I gave them quite the challenge, I am 5' tall and he is 6'5", but they delivered and I couldn't be happier with the pictures we have. I just want to add you spend your entire wedding day with your photographers so it was such an added bonus to have 2 people who are nice and fun :)

Tiffany and Jonathan were everything I could have hoped for (and more!) in wedding photographers. I searched for weeks before I stumbled across them and immediately knew they were who I wanted to hire. From our engagement shoot to the day of the wedding, everything was just perfect. For the engagement shoot, I thought I would feel awkward having a public photoshoot but they made us so comfortable and relaxed that I was able to forget about our surroundings and just concentrate on them. At our wedding, they captured every single moment, even some that I missed, while completely blending in. I felt like they were old friends/family with the way that they fit right into our day. And it goes without saying but their photos are top notch. They have such gifts, I want them to photograph every event in my life. I am so so thankful to them and their beautiful photography. There are a lot of Pittsburgh wedding photographers out there but none with the combination of quality + style + kindness that Tiffany and Jonathan bring.

Pittsburgh brides are lucky to have a duo like Jonathan and Tiffany around. My husband and I did not want to see each other before the ceremony, so they were able to divide and conquer to take pictures of everyone before hand. Hot Metal's photography was by far my favorite vendor out of our entire wedding day! Jonathan and Tiffany have such an eye and captured our day perfectly. Tiff and Jonathan are OUTSTANDING!!! They were the first vendor I booked after I got engaged- even before my venue. Tif and Jonathan find a way to make every photo look unique and special. I can honestly say that out of the 1,500 photos i have from my wedding, there isn't 1 i don't like. Everything from our engagement pictures to our wedding pictures are perfection. If you're lucky enough to have a wedding date that Hot Metal has available, book them. You will be blown away by the way they capture every detail of your big day. I would have paid 2x more for their service- that's how incredible their photos are. They are now our "go to" photographers for everything- maternity, baby, life, etc. We absolutely love them and couldn't be happier with the way our photos turned out.

Jonathan & Tiffany were awesome. From the start, they responded to my email right away. They were so easy to get ahold of. Looking at their pictures on their website, I loved what I saw. They really pay attention to detail - which is what I really appreciated since I put so much effort into each little detail of the wedding. They were very professional, yet totally easy to talk and work with. I didn't want to see my husband before the ceremony so we got pics of the guys and girls separately before. The ceremony was at our church in Butler and the reception was at J Verno in Pittsburgh so we didn't have too much time in between. We decided to take pics of the bridal party at the South Side Works. Jonathan & Tiffany got there maybe 15 minutes before the bridal party and when we got there - they were ready to go! They gathered us all up and said they had a game plan since we didn't have much time to spare. And they definitely did! They knew exactly what shots they wanted, in front of what backgrounds and buildings. They really hustled and got AMAZING shots. They did just as well at the reception. Great people with awesome talent!

I would definitely recommend hot metal studio to anyone looking for an amazing remembrance of their big day. Tiff and Jonathan were great and the photos turned out incredible!
