Anjulena helped us prepare a dance for our wedding and it was incredible to say the least. She is very skilled in not only dance, but also teaching. If she can teach me to dance, she can teach anyone. She is the person to go see if you want to have a one of a kind and unforgettable dance experience.

Anjulena is amazing! We worked with her for our first dance, and not only was it fun, but it also ended up being fantastic. Our guests loved it/ were blown away by our dance, and we loved performing it and learning it. Wedding prep can get stressful, and learning the dance and going to class was a stress reliever and a ton of fun. I have never done ballroom dancing before (my now wife had a long time ago ), but Anjulena was a fantastic teacher and could teach us and get us performance ready for the wedding!
She choreographed the dance for us based on what we wanted, and it felt awesome to have someone who could make this dance into something we wanted. We told her what we wanted as the dance developed, and she could add in moves and make modifications to meet our needs.
She is also super kind and even came to our wedding rehearsal to help us practice our dance and to make sure we were oriented correctly and comfortable to do our dance at the venue (for both plan A and the rain plan).
Overall, I highly recommend working with Anjulena. If you have a first dance for a wedding, she's your person. She helped us create a memorable moment we will cherish forever (I have watched a recording of our dance a friend got for us so many times already!) and a dance that wowed our guests (everyone said it was the best first dance they have seen!).
We look forward to learning other dances with her in the future. Thank you Anjulena, you are fantastic!

He can take any song, find the beat, and create an awesome dance! Our guests at our wedding were amazed at the moves we had learned with TK! His wife, Anjulena, is super talented and KNOWS HER STUFF. I highly recommend these two for anyone learning to dance. Whether it's your first time EVER (like us) to attend a dance class, or simply want to learn a new dance (salsa, two-step, etc.) definitely give TK & Anjulena a call. You won't be disappointed :)

e amazing! We used a mashup of two Indian songs and TK put together a perfect routine for the song (even though he does not understand any of the words!). My wife and I are both very novice dancers and TK breaks down the footwork, hand / body movements and is very patient (…very patient) and makes you do it 137 times until you perfect it! TK and Anjulena are both super professional and definitely know the time crunch (and the million other things you got going on when planning a wedding), they are very flexible with the time slots. They are both very passionate about dancing and it definitely shows when they are teaching you, they get to know you and your partner and really make the experience fun (never thought I’d say dancing was “fun”).
These guys unquestionably know what they are doing and I would highly recommend them to anyone in a heartbeat. Excellent dance instructors (and amazing people in general).
Thanks to both of them for a successful first dance (along with mother-son / father-daughter dances).

ere a good fit with TK and Anjulena's teaching styles. They are super friendly and the introductory lesson went well. We signed up for 5 lessons in total. I am a not an experienced dancer, but throughout the lessons TK broke everything down step by step and helped us put together a wonderful first dance. They boxed in the dance floor to the approximate size of what our wedding floor would be like, and they had a petticoat my fiance could wear to simulate what her wedding dress would be like. Our wedding day first dance went very well, and the lessons were well worth the investment. TK was very accommodating to our schedule and his teaching style is always positive and encouraging. Definite 5 stars! Thank you!

TK, pushed us really hard and took a lot of the fun out of dancing together. When we said we didn’t want to add any more moves he didn’t respect our wishes. It caused a lot of stress and heartache! We are happy with the results of our lessons but won’t be going back for our future dance lesson needs.

edding. I made a phone call to Houston Ballroom Dance, and Anjulena checked the video for me and instantly knew what I wanted. We took about 7 lessons with Anjulena to complete the choreography. Anjulena was wonderful to work with. She is delightful, enthusiastic, and she cares about the quality of the dance. She set the tone for our dance with a big throw as opening, and every 30 seconds we have a new trick to surprise our guests (no kidding, it was an East coast swing dance with many aerial tricks. It sounds crazy but that's what we signed up for). There were times that we got frustrated and felt like we couldn't make it, but Anjulena had so much confidence in us and that really inspired us. TK joined us sometimes and they really made learning dance fun! We originally thought learning dance might be very stressful along the wedding planning, but it turned out to be the only thing that we could real progress every week! Our dance was AMAZING. Our guests were definitely impressed and they loved the surprise that we prepared for them! Throughout the whole night and weeks after the wedding, we kept having people coming over to us saying our dance was "Dancing with the Star" level! Even our DJ wrote a card to us and asked where we learned the dance after the wedding. It was totally worth it, and if you are looking for an instructor, you are looking at the right place.

pecial. We found Houston Ballroom Dance’s Groupon for 2 private dance lessons, and decided to dive in and give it a shot.
We were very glad we did. TK was absolutely the PERFECT instructor for the two of us! Very encouraging, funny, gentle, and clear. He was able to work to each of our specific strengths, and to subtly bring our awareness to where each of our weaknesses were in the most constructive, helpful way possible. Amazing. These 2 lessons were absolutely delightful, and a whole lot of fun, and my fiancé and I are better dancers than we thought! Can’t believe we waited this long to make it a priority.
We definitely feel a whole lot more confident about our first wedding dance, after just 2 lessons. Not sure if we’ll be able to make it back to their studio before our November wedding, but we will definitely treat ourselves to more lessons in the future. If you’re on the fence about this, I highly recommend you give it a shot! Thank you again, TK! You’re THE BEST!

to TK's amazing teaching skills! We went in only knowing the song we wanted to dance to and TK choreographed an entire dance for us including intro and the dramatic dip at the end. Our guests loved it! We seriously cannot thank TK enough for his patience, energy and endless encouragement through the whole process. We're already talking about how we want to come back for date nights just for fun to learn more!

hone and email before our first lesson and explained the different packages for individual lessons. The three of us clicked from the very beginning. I have a background in dance but my husband does not. Anjulena recognized this and choreographed a beautiful piece that was accessible for both of us. She helped us feel good about ourselves and inspired us to keep working even when we felt discouraged. She kept in constant communication through email and text and it was very easy to schedule our lessons. She was awesome and even went out to meet with us at the venue to do a final review of the piece. We really liked working with TK too, and he gave us many helpful tips on our dance. The two of them also did a few small group classes for us and our friends that were a lot of fun. I highly recommend this studio for any couple who wants to WOW their wedding guests with a fabulous first dance. On a side note, these private dance lessons were nearly as beneficial as our pre-marital counseling in our preparation for marriage.

With only 2 weeks left, Anjulena and TK have bent over backwards to put something together and take time to teach us. You can just see the passion bubbling out of Anjulena with every class.
I have absolutely ZERO dancing experience, and I still have much room to grow, but I've never been more confident leading my future bride on the dance floor! =] I highly recommend them!

ever taken a dance lesson in my entire life and TK was very good at starting slow and helping build my confidence and repertoire of moves. We started taking our dance lessons closer to the wedding date than we would have liked, but TK was able to help us put something together in just a short time. Anjulena couldn't have made us feel more at ease - she was patient, light hearted, and made us feel completely comfortable (even considering my two left feet). By the time our wedding rolls around, there's no doubt that we'll be more than prepared - even with a little sassy salsa! It should also be noted that the studio is well cared for and very spacious, close to Katy and the Galleria area. What more could you ask for?!?

couples. This is when we came across Anjulena and Houston Ballroom Dance. From the beginning Anjulena made us feel comfortable. Anjulena is extremely professional and friendly. She is flexible and works with your schedule.
We wanted to look a little more polished for our first dance. Anjulena did an excellent job. She was very patient in making sure that both of us had a firm grasp of each step and turn in our routine. She took the time to stop when we made mistakes and really help us and was always reassuring that our first dance was going to be great. By the end of our lessons, not only had we learned our dance but we gained a friend.
Don’t let your insecurities stop you, this is one wedding to-do you won’t regret completing.

or TK!! My fiancé and I are NOT great dancers and we’ve never taken lessons, so this was something totally new for us. We found the Houston Ballroom Dance Lessons online as they offer special Wedding Dance Packages. The lady on the phone was super nice and set us up for an $10 trial session with a private instructor for 30 minutes to see if this is something we’d like do before signing up for multiple lessons. We tried it out and fell in love with our instructor Anjulena. She’s so sweet, knowledgeable and helped us learn a quite a few moves for our song. We immediately signed up for the Wedding Package (5 sessions) and scheduled our appointments with her and her partner, TK. We only had 4 weeks but we managed to squeeze it in all 5 sessions without any stress or worry. It was wonderful being able to work with both of them as we got a “girls perspective” and “guys perspective” which really helped out my fiancé and I. We had sooo much fun and would definitely consider taking more lessons. We kept our dance lessons a secret to guests at the wedding so they were all pleasantly surprised and said we look FANTASTIC!!! THANK YOU SO MUCH ANULENA AND TK!!
