As we continued to go through the planning process, they continued to help us make our visions come to life despite some of the complicated details of our Hindu-American fusion wedding ceremony. Our ceremony required a “mandap” or stage as the altar, which was very new and unique for weddings on the Outer Banks. Despite not being done before, Tony and Mary rose to the challenge and sourced EXACTLY what we needed. Not only did they do the research and purchase the stage, they went out of their way to test it ahead of time to ensure it met THEIR high standards. The set-up team was thorough, efficient, and polite throughout the week and they really gave 100% effort setting up our ceremony in our gale force winds! The team was flexible and ultimately helped our day look fabulous. Thank you so much for allowing us to be a part you your family during this process!

where it all started. Tony and IDoOBX's reviews absolutely speak for themselves - and paired with an introductory call, we quickly made our decision that we wanted to work with them. It can be stressful planning a wedding in a location that you live half way across the country from, but Tony's organization and consistent communication kept us stress free - knowing that he was on top of things. We had several phone calls, an in-person meeting and a Zoom call where he really took the time to learn us and our story. It was clear he cared about our wedding as much as we did. All of this time we spent talking was worth it when it came time for the ceremony as it was an absolute tear-jerker. He highlighted how we originally met, our first date, and even paid tribute to my wife's 7 year military service (he even shouted out our foster dog that made the trek from MS). Every single person in attendance for our wedding had nothing but positive things to say about everything that was said. Neither me nor my wife ever really had a "dream wedding," but if we did, it would have been what the team at IDoOBX helped bring to life. The florals and decor from top to bottom were out of this world - words can't even do them justice (which is why we have pictures). Their entire crew is friendly, personable and was overall just happy to be a part of our special day. Tony and team, we appreciate everything you did for us and we truly loved working with you. We are happy to think of you as family.

The florals were so beautiful. From the first phone call with Tony, we immediately knew that this was the man we wanted to marry us. It was like we had known him for years, and he just understood us. That continued to be true with every conversation we had with Tony. When we finally met in person the week of our wedding, Tony had this calming presence that put us at ease. Our wedding ceremony was more meaningful than I ever could have imagined. Our ceremony wasn't the typical cookie-cutter ceremony that I had heard time and time again. Tony personalized our wedding by taking the time to get to know us, our stories, and our relationship, and that really showed when it came to our wedding day. Our family and friends are still talking about Tony and how our ceremony was one of the most meaningful and best ceremonies they had ever attended. I used IDOOBX for rentals, flowers, lighting, and Officiant services. Having all of those services with one point of contact made it so much easier. Our vision flowed from ceremony, to decor, to flowers by having one cohesive team working together. Throughout the entire planning process, Mary and Tony made everything seem so easy. They were flexible and understanding with changes, and responded as quickly as possible to all of my millions of questions, even during an incredibly busy wedding season. Unlike other vendors I had spoken to, I felt like Mary and Tony were always working with me, trying to help at every turn to make this easier. During the planning process, Tony and his team took a few ideas and ran with them to help me create the wedding of my dreams. (One of the best/funniest testaments to me about this is that the original plan was for all of our family to go down by the beach after the ceremony to take the group photos. Well, once the ceremony was over and everyone had seen the arch in all of its beauty, everyone preferred to have the photos taken by the arch instead of the water!!) After our initial first meeting with Tony, we knew he was the officiant for us!!! His humor, kindness, communication, attention to detail, and understanding for all “walks of life” no matter who you are truly makes him one-of-a-kind and the only one we wanted to help join us together in marriage. We also booked their floral, decor, and lighting services to ensure the finishing touches on our special day were all incorporated the way we had envisioned - and Tony and his team made our dream become a reality. concerns I had. I was a COVID bride who had to reschedule and they made the process so seamless to be able to change my date. My husband and I were so impressed by all that they did for us. Their crew who showed up on the day before and on the day of to set up for the ceremony and reception were also so friendly and such hard workers!! It had poured down rain all day the day before our wedding and their crew kept reassuring this stressed out bride that we would get to have our beach wedding and if not, they would make sure they got things set up beautifully inside! The setup for both the ceremony and reception turned out exactly how I had envisioned that it would. They excited everything so perfectly and Gail did the florals and they were exactly what I imagined they would be! Everything was absolute perfection for our wedding because of I Do OBX :) Also, if your hesitant to get the lighting done, I highly advise that you get the lighting because it adds the perfect touch to make your night romantic and dreamy! I received so many compliments on the set up and decor and my family just loved the crew that came to set everything up! My aunt even called Tony the next day to make sure he knew how much we appreciated their team and how wonderful of a job they did! I could not recommend this company more! ss. Tony married us and we are so happy with our choice in officiants! The ceremony was beautiful, and I had several guests compliment how well they thought Tony did as the officiant. Tony took the time to get to know us and make the ceremony personable to us. I DO OBX was super flexible with rescheduling due to COVID and took away all of our stressors. Communication was excellent throughout the entire process. Gail did our florals, and they were gorgeous! She did exactly what I had visioned for our bouquets and ceremony arch. Originally, we had planned for I DO OBX to do our reception lighting however, due to COVID-19 we had to cancel our reception. They were understanding and willing to work with us to still make our day perfect. Our experience with Tony, Mary, and Gail was exceptional. I highly recommend them to anyone!

The impression I want to leave you with in this review is that “I Do OBX” absolutely blew us away with every part of our event they participated in. The setup for the wedding was absolutely gorgeous and Tony took the time to ensure that our ceremony was exactly what we were hoping for. When it came time for the ceremony, he just absolutely NAILED what we were looking for… We were absolutely blown away with how precise, professional and personal everything they touched turned out to be and in hindsight cannot imagine not having them as a part of our day/weekend. If you are considering them for your wedding, we absolutely have no reservation recommending them personally… They have our contact information and should you want to talk to someone who has worked with them as a reference, we have given them permission to use us (just reference our wedding 5/24/2019). We even had the opportunity to go to his home twice to meet with him and his wife (and dogs!), discuss our ideas, who we are as a couple, and get to know each other. Both of those visits felt like we were meeting up with an old friend and were so much fun! We had Tony present for our rehearsal the night before the wedding which went very smoothly and he made an effort to greet everyone there. Our actual wedding ceremony was more perfect than we could have imagined. He included so many little details about us that made it very personal and also is so mindful of keeping the focus on the couple and knowing exactly where to stand and when to step out of the couple’s space. We can’t even count how many guests told us how beautiful the ceremony was and how great Tony was. Several guests also told us they thought Tony was someone we had known for a long time from back home instead of someone we had only just recently met a few times. From the moment we met Tony, we would never recommend anyone else to perform a wedding ceremony!

We were hesitant to have a total stranger marry us, we were worried that we just wouldn't have that connection with one of the most important vendors in a wedding. From the first email and phone call, all of our concerns were gone! For starters, Mary and Tony are two of the nicest, most chill people ever! They we were always professional and very prompt to return emails, even those outlandish middle of the night ones! They helped refer/recommend other vendors. Then we met Tony for the first time, he came to our rental house and sat and talked with us about not just the wedding but golf and food and our families and everything. We felt like we were just sitting and shooting the breeze with an old friend. It was wonderful! He walked us through every moment of the rehearsal and ceremony, answered every question, addressed every concern and truly listened to what we had to say. The questionnaire your asked to fill out on the wedsite seems daunting at first but Tony and Mary took every single thing we wrote on there and used that information to get to know us better and help make the ceremony about us. They helped customize the entire ceremony, from the readings to the blessings to the chair placement! Even added funny tidbits to the readings to keep us laughing in between crying! Haha. We are so thankful to Tony and Mary and their equipment crews for all of their help from start to finish! Even though the weather was beautiful, it was a very windy day, so Tony's crew took the time to make sure everything was secure and wouldn't topple over during our ceremony. And Tony, we cannot say enough about how kind, sincere, and amazing this man was as our officiant. Having only met him twice before the wedding we were amazed at how he put all the readings together for our ceremony. We told him family was most important, how we met, our blended families, and about the people we missed who couldn't be at the ceremony, he made sure everyone was included. And he even added some notes of humor just to keep things light and fun, he really understood who we are and what we wanted for our ceremony. Our only regret was he couldn't stay to enjoy some of the reception because he had to run to another wedding, we would have loved having both him and Mary as guests for the reception. You cannot go wrong with having Tony, Mary, and the I Do OBX Weddings team as your vendor ... they will make sure your day is perfect!
