Private Events at the International Spy Museum
The Spy Museum was the perfect venue for our wedding! We are so happy we chose it from all the venues in DC. Between the rooftop views, unbeatable location, modern design, and the unique factor of being able to say our wedding was at the Spy Museum – it was truly perfect.
The staff were so easy to work with and really helped us have a seamless event. Having the Hilton right next door was wonderful for our out-of-town guests and made it easy for us to get ready. Plus, it’s simple to reach from the airport by metro or Uber/taxi, which made logistics stress-free.
We held our ceremony on the rooftop, cocktail hour in the ballroom, and the reception back on the rooftop. This gave us the perfect indoor/outdoor feel and complete peace of mind since we always had a great weather-proof option. Our guests loved walking around the rooftop and enjoying the views. It felt modern and elegant and very “DC”.
We loved working with Spilled Milk Catering, who clearly knew the venue inside and out, which gave us extra confidence. From start to finish, everything — the venue, the staff, the catering, the overall experience — was excellent. We can’t recommend it enough!
Our wedding and reception at the Spy museum could not have gone better! From start to finish, the staff treated us like VİPs. Not only were they responsive and timely in their communication, but they were also friendly and accommodating to all of our questions and requests along the way. We worked closely with Amanda during the planning of our wedding, and by the time the day came, she felt like a close friend! On top of the amazing service, our wedding day was an absolute dream! We took full advantage of the museum's exhibit spaces for our photos as well as the rooftop and ballroom for our reception, which offered incredible views and a truly unique exlerience to see the DC skyline. Our guests have continued to tell us how fun and interesting our day was, and we know that we couldn't have offered such a top notch experience without all the museum has to offer.

The International Spy Museum is situated in Washington, DC, and specializes in hosting weddings and other special events. This impressive space allows couples to sip champagne on the terrace overlooking incredible views of the city below. Your guests will be transported into the world of secret technology, information, and, of course, romance. Couples can pose for photos in front of historical spy gadgets, the debriefing center, or the incredible rooftop views. Parties can celebrate amid plenty of artifacts and specimens and can explore the exhibitions while they take a break from drinks and dancing.
As a non-profit, the Museum aims to provide an opportunity for exploring important topics such as secrecy, technology, and intelligence. The building itself boasts a selection of stunning outdoor locations to celebrate your marriage. Couples can exchange vows in the ballroom on the seventh floor, which offers unforgettable views of the Washington skyline. This ballroom can accommodate a large variety of events and is fitted with state-of-the-art technology for a true spy experience. On the floor above, the landscaped Rooftop Terrace can host 200 guests and provide many romantic photo opportunities overlooking the city. By combining the space of the seventh and eighth floors, a large-scale event can be held for up to 700 guests. With space for about 190 people, the Museum Lobby is the ideal place to mix and mingle amongst large-scale artifacts. The Veil is one of the most unique locations in the Museum, ideal for cocktail hours or intimate dinners. The large windows and incredible architecture combine to create a memorable space with magnificent views.
