Ivory Door Studio

Choosing Ivory Door Studios to photograph and video my wedding was one of the best decisions I made for my special day. After seeing some of their work done for a friend of mine, they were definitely on my radar to have at my own wedding based off of how gorgeous my friend's photos turned out. Mahlia & Pat offered such a reasonable price package that included everything and more that I wanted. Not to mention they were the best to work with! I live in Oklahoma and my wedding was in Nashville, so we had a long distance relationship to plan out all the details beforehand. But, they made it incredibly easy! They set up a few Skype calls to discuss what was important to me and they quickly responded to every request I had throughout planning. I felt like we were friends before we even met in person. We also had a blast shooting with them on the wedding day. They truly captured the day perfectly. I can't say enough about this sweet couple and how talented really are! Thanks you two for everything!

This review is not to discredit the quality of Ivory Door Studio's work. I have looked through many of Mahlia's albums and they are fantastic. This is why we decided to go with her for our wedding photographer. When I contacted her 5 days ago, she mentioned that both her and her associate (Deb) were available. I showed interest in her packages throughout multiple emails, as I really like her wedding collection. I told her yesterday that I would like to book her Navy package. When she responded today she informed me that she was no longer available, as another couple had already booked her. I'm disappointed that after showing interest she proceeded to book with another couple prior to asking me if I would like to go ahead and finalize things. I felt like the entire time she was pushing Deb onto me, when the whole reason I contacted her was because I liked her style of pictures. I don't feel like it's good business to let a client know that you are open on a day, when another client has showed serious interest in booking a package on that same day. Maliah did apologize and sent me some other recommendations; however I have put a lot of time into researching a photographer, and find this situation to be very frustrating as this is the second time I have been ready to book a photographer who has cancelled.

My husband and I cannot even begin to describe how amazing our experience with Ivory Door Studio was in regards to our wedding photography and videography! Not only are they extremely talented and helpful/organized for your wedding day, but they are compassionate and loving people who genuinely want to make sure your day is the best one yet! Gorgeous photographs, creative shots, and the photo booth ROCKS. Our guests loved it so much & had a blast! Again, this is just a small review of how we feel about this couple, but they are just wonderful! Choose them for your special day, you won't regret it! :)

Pat and Mahlia were absolutely wonderful! While we were planning our wedding, they patiently answered our questions and offered great advice. At the wedding they did a wonderful job of capturing all the big moments and keeping us organized. They made sure we had all the shots we wanted without ever intruding on the day. They were the perfect mix of professional, fun, organized, and laid back. Our family and wedding party loved working with them. When we got our pictures back, I was in awe. Each one was beautiful and together they told a wonderful story of a magical day. The talent and professionalism shone through every shot. Mahlia and Pat are a fabulous team and a joy to work with. I cannot recommend them enough!

Having been married myself and having certain expectations not met with my own wedding photographer, I had even higher expectations for my best friend's wedding that I was the MOH in. Mahlia, the lead photographer, traveled all the way to Oregon to capture my beautiful friend's big day! She was more than just a photographer - she basically took on the role of coordinator as well. She helped plan the wedding day timeline the weeks leading up to the big day, and helped keep things moving the day of. Ivory Door Studio went above and beyond any and all expectations! Their detail shots are absolutely AMAZING!!! Now my friend can look back at all of these photos and remember every little detail of her big day. From her earrings to his tie, the photos were done in such an artistic way that will forever be cherished! I would recommend Ivory Door Studio to everyone planning a wedding. They are more than accommodating and reasonably priced when it comes to destination weddings or those located outside of Tennessee. So, definitely don't rule them out if you are halfway across the country. And for those fortunate enough to be having a wedding in Tennessee, you are beyond lucky to have such talent so close by!

My fiance and I had our engagement session with Ivory Door Studio, and we absolutely loved working with Pat and Mahlia! They made us feel so comfortable with our shoot and were such a joy to be around. The quality of the photos were amazing! They were so helpful with creating a timeline for the big day to make sure we got all of the shots we wanted. They had the pictures ready super quick and they are absolutely STUNNING! We are so grateful that they captured all of the special memories for us. We will cherish them for a lifetime!

Pat & Mahlia were so much fun to work with! They were so helpful leading up to the big day. They asked all the right questions and made lots of suggestions for how to make my photography timeline to ensure we got in all the shots we wanted! They had a full preview up by the end of the weekend, and I received all of my photos 2.5 weeks later! The pictures are amazing and something I will cherish for a lifetime!
