Paul & the entire team at Kafe 421 was incredible. They listened to our needs, were acoomodating and flexible, and the entire event ran so smoothly with zero need for oversight from us. The team was communicative and completely on top of it. And we got SO many compliments on the food. It was exactly what we were looking for. Thank you, Paul!

We had a great experience having our wedding catered by Kafe 421. They have good communication and are flexible. And of course...their food is delicious! We had appetizers, a sandwich buffet (not usual for a wedding, but it was perfect for us), and a whole bunch of desserts. Not gonna lie, the desserts were my favorite though. Out of this world!

The Industrial and Systems Engineering department at the University of Minnesota utilized Kafe 421 for a conference hosted at the Weisman Art Museum. Paul was our organizer, and he was incredibly easy to work with, very prompt to respond, and very understanding to changes. Equally Xander, was the same. The day of, as the event coordinator, I thought everything was well coordinated, professional, and delicious. Conference goers also remarked on the professionalism of the staff and taste.

Kafe 421 help us at our wedding and did bar service and late night pizzas! We wanted to have a cocktail hour for our guest between the ceremony and reception, and we were able to get a 3rd bar tender to ensure smooth and quick service. We also had a specialty cocktail that they helped us craft up. Guest said that they enjoyed our wedding. We’d like to thank Kafe 421 for contributing to our special day, and taking care of our loved ones!

We used Kafe 421 to cater for a wedding for 100 people on 2/3/2024. We liked the variety, quality and price points of the food. Distinct and different flavor profiles are carefully curated. Selecting the items was easy because our coordinator was helpful with recommendations. Service was professionally rendered during the event, and guests were highly complimentary and enjoyed the food. Our coordinator was flexible and responsive throughout the planning process, which engendered a trust in the professionalism of Kafe 421. Truly a wonderful catering company! I highly recommend them.

Kafe 421 is our #1 catering choice for our department at the University of Minnesota. We have used them numerous times for our donor and college-wide events. They're budget-friendly, communicative, and very easy to work with. The food is our absolute favorite especially the meatballs and skewers. In the past, we have used other caterers but the meat was always dry but Kafe 421 knows how to marinate and make it very juicy and flavorful! We always received compliments on how the delicious the food is from our guests. We were sadden when the restaurant shut down because that was our favorite place to take our guests for lunch but we're so happy that they're able to cater for our events.

We used Kafe 421 for a recent reception at our office. The staff arrived on time and started working immediately. Food was hot and delicious - the meatballs were the first to go! I especially appreciate that they have added wine service to their offerings. This made my job arranging the event so fast and easy. Their prices were among the lowest found, yet food and staff service were top-notch. Highly recommend!

We had an office party at our home last night, 12 people. The food from Kafe 421 was fabulous! Greek salad with gyros, grilled vegetables, grape leaves, different hummus selection, skewered chicken, beef, shrimp and more. Everything was delicious, and beautiful presentation as well. I also thought it was very reasonably priced considering the portion size and quality of the the food. Can't wait for another event to cater with them.

Kafe 421 catered our wedding, and they did a fantastic job! The planning process was very easy, the tasting experience was great, they were able to do both a buffet and a bar for us, they coordinated extremely smoothly with our venue, they were helpful with some extra items like cutting our cake and pouring sparkling wine for a toast, and were overall lovely to work with. But most of all the food was amazing! Lots of raves from our guests. I particularly recommend the herb roasted chicken, the vegetable and chickpea curry, the Greek meatball appetizer... but they have lots of options to choose from, and I expect that they're all great. Kafe 421 was really great to work with! They helped answer questions and resolve issues quickly. The tasting really gave us confidence in our menu. They even were able to increase our quantities at the last minute when we sold more tickets to our event. I was especially impressed by their staff who worked at the event - they were very professional. I never saw dirty dishes on tables, there were always clean plates at the buffet and the communication on site was terrific! Best of all, we got lots of compliments on the food!

Kate 421 was delicious for our son’s rehearsal dinner! Prompt, professional, correct amount of food . Our guests were raving about how delicious the tzatziki was. We were very pleased and highly recommend Kate 421.

We went with Kafe 421 for our wedding and everything could not have gone smoother. Multiple guests raved about the appetizers and the entrees and staff was courteous and helpful. They were also extremely helpful in the run up to the wedding even crafting a new cocktail mixer for one of our signature cocktails. Could not recommend them enough!

We hired Kafe 421 for a memorial event where we served an appetizer buffet for over 200 people after the service. Kasey was very responsive, honest and professional in all our dealings. She was also flexible to implement any changes we asked for, even up to the last week. The presentation of the food was beautiful and it was delicious. We had a wonderful experience ordering food from Kafe 421 for a recent party at our home. Kasey was incredibly helpful with the menu planning, and the food was truly delicious! Many guests wanted to know where the food came from, because everyone loved it. Since Kafe 421 is so popular, we were not able to have the food delivered or served, but it still worked out great to pick the food up. They did a careful job of describing how we should use the chafing dishes, and that worked out very well. I will absolutely order food from them again for future events, and I believe many of my guests will as well.

Antigoni and team catered my wedding for over 250 people at the Weisman Museum in Minneapolis. It was incredible- serving filet mignon perfectly cooked medium rare - warm for all the guests. Sole we our other choice and people said it was outstanding. Every place settings and full table service executed to perfection with the outmost professionalism. I can’t recommend them enough. We were referred to them through the venue and word of mouth and would never use another caterer again.

We have been using Kafe 421 for almost twenty years - at least 10 different events including home parties for 40 and event center celebrations for 150! The entire team starting with Antigone to determine the menu to the servers for the events are professional, punctual, friendly and best of all, leave my kitchen in a better state than it began! The food is always delicious (we have used them for brunch, luncheons and cocktail parties) and plentiful. Have recommended Kafe421 to many of my friends and family - always thrilled when I know they will be catering.

Kafe 421 is the absolute BEST! Antigone and her team are more than personable and accommodating. The food is fresh, flavorful and so beautifully prepared. Try their chicken satays and the salmon with dill sauce - to die for. Plus, the chocolate mousse is so fluffy and rich. I highly recommend this caterer for your next in home, office, or large social gathering!

Kafe 421 provided a spectacular lunch for a birthday party outside in August. Our server made the entire event easy and delicious. Because I had back surgery in July, I needed lots of help. Kafe 421 catered our wedding in July 2017 and did THE most phenomenal job! Prior to the wedding, we did two different tastings at the restaurant with our families and Georgia went above and beyond to provide very generous portions of tasty, beautifully prepared food. She answered all of our questions in person, and she and Antigoni both communicated with us as much as we needed throughout our year of wedding planning from afar. On the day of the wedding, we had an outdoor cocktail hour and tented reception with over 200 guests and we couldn't have been happier with the catering. The owner of the wedding venue also raved about Georgia's professionalism, gorgeous preparation and layout, and efficiency in planning (ex: our buffet was run seamlessly and so quickly, even the guests commented on it!). Our guests also made endless comments about the high quality, fresh, innovative food and many people said "best wedding food ever." We very highly recommend Kafe 421's catering (and restaurant in Dinkytown!).
