Katie was organized and helpful with the prep work (ex. questionnaires to make sure we didn't miss any requested shots, customized timeline) so we were able to go into our wedding day without any worries. ister’s wedding. My younger brother followed suit and hired Katie to take his wedding photos last year. I knew when I got engaged, that I had to have her and I was lucky enough to snag a date. Making me the last kid in our family (3 out of 3) that had the privilege of having Katie as our photographer for our weddings. Throughout the planning process, Katie was seamless with her communication and thoughtfulness. Then the day before the big day arrived and I was a anxious about the weather. Katie called me and we spoke about back up plans and she was willing to change things up if needed. The day of the wedding she was an amazing source of calm during the hustle and bustle. Those brides who have been in wedding parties before understand it best- your are with your photographer for a good part of the day. Katie was such an amazing person to be around all day. She directs you and checks in with you. Then during the reception lets you just be present in the moment all the while capturing each part. Now as for the outcome, the photos speak for themselves. It was 90 degrees out and half my bridal party was sweating but in every picture, they all look flawless! I literally cried (happy tears) when I got back my photos. The posed ones are beautiful, but the moments that Katie captured that were authentic- smiles, tears, laughs, excitement- that’s where you can really see why her work is so valued and why she’s such a coveted wedding photographer. I felt so comfortable going into the wedding day. Katie was well organized and planned leading up to the wedding and more or less told me what needed to get done. On the day, both Katie and her second photographer Athena were keeping a close eye on my emotions and helping me to feel all of the feels but to not get stuck in one place. They were also quick to sense when I was over something and again we moved on. Given that they didn't know us that well at all I was so impressed by their ability to read our body language and take photos that looked and felt like us as a couple. Katie delivered over 2k photos all of which were beautiful and perfectly captured our day. If you're on the fence, don't be!
