We hired Ken for our wedding as he was on the Icona Diamond Beach, NJ preferred list of vendors. Being a huge Prince fan, Ken made sure we partied like it was 1999!! Ken and his staff were the ultimate professionals. Organized, detail-oriented and fun. Ken was a terrific MC. He read our crowd extremely well and when a surprise guest in the form of our grand-pup showed up at the reception, Ken spontaneously played "Who Let the Dogs Out?" to welcome him. The wedding and reception were held at the Icona Avalon and the staff raved about working with Ken. We now rave about him too.

We worked with Ken initially and he was able to answer all our questions, address all our concerns, and he made us a special mix for our first dance (because we're extra). At our reception, DJ Tony understood the assignment - we had one planning phone call with him and he played every song and every artist we talked about. He also had the crowd dancing all night! Boogie Nights lived up to its name last night, thanks in large part to the phenomenal DJ skills of Ken Schaffer. From the moment he dropped the needle, the energy in the room was electric. As one of the resident emcees at Boogie Night Atlantic City, it was truly an honor to work alongside him for a special banquet that our nightclub was hosting. Ken's playlist was a masterclass in reading the crowd. He started with some classic disco and funk to get the partygoers warmed up, then seamlessly transitioned into a mix of current dance hits and throwback jams. There was something for everyone, and the dance floor never looked empty. . It was clear Ken had a deep understanding of the Boogie Nights audience and knew exactly what would get them moving. Ken's transitions between songs were smooth and flawless. He never let the energy dip, and he always seemed to know exactly the right track to keep the party flowing. There were a few times when the patrons for a specific song - as an emcee for our club, I had no idea this song existed (or the line dance that went with it), and Ken effortlessly wove it into the mix without disrupting the overall vibe. It was impressive to see his ability to think on his feet and adapt to the crowd's energy. Ken's professionalism was evident throughout the night. He kept the energy high without being cheesy, and he gauged the crowd perfectly. By the end of the night, everyone was leaving with a smile on their face and sore feet from dancing – the ultimate sign of a successful night at the club - being an emcee, I was able to navigate through his song choices to hype up the crowd and have an unforgettable night for our banquet attendees! Ken and his team did a fabulous job. The photo booth was busy the WHOLE time at the wedding. We especially loved how we got a book at the end with all of the pictures taken at our wedding. We have enjoyed going back through the book and reliving the memories.

Ken single handedly turned the Valentines Lumcheon at the OC Senior Centerninto an unforgettable fun time for our members! He had them dancing, singing and even got them up for a jitterbug contest. He professionalism shines through as he reads his audience perfectly with his song selections. They are still talking about it! Can't wait until he comes back!

Over the past couple of years, I have been a guest at several weddings that Ken has dj’ed – most recently was my cousin’s wedding in November. I loved seeing my cousin enjoy her wedding reception. I got to dance with cousins I hadn’t seen in several years and I convinced my boyfriend to get up and dance with me for one song – and we stayed out on the dance floor the rest of the night! We just completed the wedding of my oldest son, and the event went off perfectly. We hired Ken Shaffer as the host and DJ and were thrilled with the job he did. As a 35-year-plus Philadelphia radio and club DJ, I believe I was in a good position to judge the quality of his work. With Ken’s decades of experience as a premiere wedding DJ, I felt comfortable hiring him for such an important personal event to me and my family and he exceeded our expectations. He not only provided three separate sound systems (reception, ceremony, and cocktail hour), he interacted personally with the crowd during the wedding and played the perfect selection of songs for both the bride and for the crowd. Ken was the BEST DJ I could have hired for my wedding! Ken is not only a DJ, but also acted as an Emcee and Event Coordinator and gave suggestions on timing and coordination. We had a "Cocktail Style Reception" It is essentially 2 parties at once with cocktail hour(s) and Dinner. Ken customized my music to set the mood for both parts of my wedding, and, during the event, read the crowd and adjusted the music accordingly to keep it moving with just the right amount of energy. We are so glad we chose Ken to be the DJ for our wedding. He is very professional, organized and good at reading the crowd. He played a mix of songs from different genres to cater to the young and older age groups. Our guests spent a lot of time on the dance floor and had a great time.

Ken provided all the sound, music, and lighting for our wedding. He was so easy to work with and is so thorough. He not only listens to what you want on your special day but is so knowledgeable and helpful in providing you feedback. He arrived several hours early to make sure every detail was perfect. The uplighting he provided dazzled the ballroom and his music selections got everyone on the dance floor. He even interacted with the crowd a lot. D j Tony Ardito did an amazing job at our wedding from his attire to his amazing DJing skills. Tony did an awesome job announcing all the names in our bridal party correctly, playing all the tracks we wanted in our format. Most of my family and friends are older now so I chose dowop for my playlist and it turned out fantastic. Tony did a very professional job, I would recommend him for any event in the future since he was so easy to work with and communicate with....Keep up the good work.

Ken was perfect for my daughters wedding. We had a small dance floor but we packed it in and people had a great time! The dance photos are some of the best because Ken played just the right songs to keep the party going. Highly recommend!

We would like to thank you for all the phenomenal wedding entertainment at the ICONA Diamond Beach on Thursday! The wedding far exceeded our expectations on all levels and everyone had an amazing time! You kept everything organized and moving with all of the different integrated elements from the beautiful wedding ceremony music, to the amazing calypso steel drummer at the cocktail hour, to the 360 Photo Booth, along with some special surprise elements which added to all the fun! And you included all the songs and song genres that we requested, which was greatly appreciated, so thank you! People were truly entertained and up on their feet all night! The ICONA Diamond Beach venue makes the perfect destination wedding…even though we live in NJ, it felt like we were on a tropical island. Just perfect…A lifetime of memories were created that night! My daughter's recent wedding at the French Creek Golf Club was the second time we had the pleasure of working with Ken. He is the consummate professional. His years of experience and meticulous preparation were the perfect guide, and allowed my daughter and her husband to design the experience that they envisioned. From the expert, high-quality remote ceremony sound to the incredible variety of music our guests were constantly entertained. We knew we could find a DJ who would bring a laptop full of music, but I don't know that anyone would have prepared the way Ken did beginning on the day we booked him. On top of that, he made the room LOOK great as well. Not only did he provide tasteful up-lighting (which he ALSO spent hours preparing to make sure he did it exactly like my daughter saw it in her mind's eye) even his equipment and gear was designed with purpose to add to the overall look of the event. I simply can't find enough words to thank Ken for being such an important part of one of the most important days in my daughter's life. I not only offer my highest recommendation, I would go so far as to say that if you want a DJ for a wedding reception -- or ANY event where the entertainment matters -- and you DON'T hire Ken and his team, you're making a mistake.
