yed until almost the end of the reception. They captured EVERY amazing moment. I was so happy how attentive they were and what good of an eye they both had for perfect moments. When I got my photos (SO QUICKLY – I’ve seen others wait and wait for their photos to come in, so I was surprised how fast I received them), Kristen also sent us a bottle of sparkling wine with our passcode, it was so sweet! The photos came out amazing, so detailed and professional. The detail photos were perfect. I am so happy I went with Kristen, I couldn’t ask for a better portfolio of a day I’ll now never forget!

Kristen does not posses being assertive enough to get the shots we would have liked, often standing behind people or not getting the right angle. We often felt we had to direct her throughout the day rather than the other way around. This was stressful as there was already a lot to think about that day. I think that at times she focuses so much on the small details she loses sight of bigger things such as the background or garment flaws. I am saddened of the lack of pictures that we will have as memories going forward.

et ready photos prior to the wedding and she captured all the little details to the wedding that I absolutely love. The day goes by so fast and my husband and I have a hard time remembering things but we are so thankful to Kristen. She truly captured every moment and we get to relive them through the photos. I am not creative at all so I really relied on Kristen for photo ideas and she did amazing! The bridal party photos were amazing and fun and there are so many different poses to choose from. Our one on one photos are my absolute favorite. She really knows how to capture those special moments. The lighting in the photos were amazing! I would highly recommend Kristen if you want to truly capture your special day and want high quality photos. I hope to work with her again in the near future! I can't thank her enough!

attentive to detail. On the day of the wedding, Kristen and photographer #2, her Father, were right on time and were both wonderful to work with! When Kristen first arrived, things were a bit hectic, and she really helped to slow things down and was able to get some really amazing pictures. Throughout the night Kristen blended in perfectly and captured many effortless pictures. It was a breath of fresh air when she pulled Joe and I outside to take some sunset pictures. r engagement photos here in New Hampshire, and we looked on The Knot (as well as Google) to see what some of our options were. I found a couple photographers that I liked, but either the quality of their photos wasn't what we wanted or their price was higher than we wanted. I'm pretty picky about what I like - I really hate cheesy engagement pictures, and I especially hate those super crisp, bright pictures that your friend's second cousin does because she bought a really nice camera and now fancies herself a photographer. During the search, I found Kristen's page and completely fell in love with quality of her work, her ability to show emotional connections, and the way she tastefully uses black and white pictures! I had already messaged another photographer whose work we liked less, but who was asking for around $600 for an hour session. Kristen was our first choice, so we emailed her and got a response right away. I was shocked (and very happy!) that she was so affordable, which made the decision to go with Kristen such an easy one. Over the course of the next few months, Kristen kept in contact with us well and was very easy to talk to. She walked through the process with me very patiently and picked a really beautiful place for us to shoot at. It was exactly what we had wanted for a fall, New Hampshire engagement session! During the shoot, Kristen was an absolute delight. As a person and a photographer, Kristen is so sweet, thoughtful, funny, and has a great attitude. She was so easy to be around and talk to. She gave good direction when we needed it but also just let us be ourselves. Jacob and I are pretty affectionate in general, but it can feel forced when someone's like, "Alright, kiss!" Kristen made it feel natural, enjoyable, sooo comfortable, and by the end of our session, I had almost forgotten about the camera and just wanted to keep kissing my fiance, haha. We took pictures on a Friday, and by Monday, she had already put up a sneak peak on her Facebook! By Wednesday, we recieved the CD with our digital copy of the pictures, and by Thursday, the online album was up so we could show our friends and family. I never expected them that fast! More importantly, the pictures are so beautiful. Like a lot of women (unfortunately), I don't typically think of myself as beautiful, but Kristen took some of the most beautiful pictures of myself I've ever seen. The connection between me and Jacob is so clear in the photos, he looked so handsome in them, and while he doesn't usually get excited about pictures of himself, the black and white prints made him almost giddy! Everyone has raved about the pictures, and my father-in-law said they made him smile and cry every time he looked at them. All-in-all, I could not be happier with Kristen and the work she did for us. I would defintiely recommend her to anyone in New Hampshire, but especially in the Concord/Hooksett/Manchester area!

king our photos, they weren't stiff or boring or "run of the mill" they were fun and simply elegant. Kristen was so patient with our large group, laughed with us, but also knew how to take charge when there were family members taking pictures too! When it was time for my husband and I to go off and get our pictures done, the ideas she had were amazing, and there was NOTHING she wasn't willing to do, even including walking through some flowers and tall grass to get the look she was going for!!! We had our pictures waiting for us when we came home from our honeymoon, my husband and I literally put our suitcases down immediately and sat for an hour in complete amazement at how beautiful our photos were. The moments and love that Kristen captured of us and our families, we will be forever grateful for. As you can imagine being the bride and groom you're busy running around, its nice to see that someone saw those moments that maybe we didn't get to see and made it so we could have them forever! We STILL cant decide which photos to have printed for us and our family because they are all so good, I may be hanging 600 pictures in my living room so I can look at them all!!!! Kristen may be young, but don't for a second let it fool you, she is so far beyond talented, i couldn't imagine getting photos done by anyone else EVER again! She set up an awesome photo booth for us which required extra work and setup but she was happy to do it. Our guests loved it! to engender good feelings on all fronts. When it came to the wedding day, Kristen faced nothing but challenges with regards to lighting, getting people in one place, and time. However, her professionalism shone through, and she patiently guided everyone to where they needed to be in order to get amazing shots, despite shooting outdoors at noon on a sunny day. My wife and our families could not be happier with the results. Kristen was able to get great shots when photographs taken by wedding-goers were almost entirely washed out or too dark. In particular, her work with my wife and I outdoors was excellent. The outdoor venue for our reception was beautiful, and one reason we chose Kristen was for her outdoor works displayed on her site. We both feel we could not have made a better choice in this regard, as she was able to capture both the most obviously beautiful areas as well as compose shots where the average photographer would not think to look. The shots indoors were amazing as well, and Kristen showed a creativity and artistic talent that blew us away. When we received a Kenyan wedding necklace, Kristen asked us for our rings, and took a beautiful set of photographs of the rings entwined with the necklace in front of a flower arrangement. Clueless as we were, she also coached us through the cake cutting, which we were very grateful for. I cannot recommend Kristen Phelps Photography enough. Her professionalism, artistic talent, and geniality made every aspect of working with her both enjoyable and richly rewarding.
