Kyo created a very comfortable environment, where we could truly be ourselves without being aware of the camera and over thinking the shots. The photos have a play on angles, lighting, different positioning so you get a variety of unique shots. We felt that Kyo (and his assistant on the day) truly captured our personalities, the essence of our wedding day and something that we will look back on fondly. d an excellent job at creating our schedule and was fully amenable to our silly ideas and detours as we went along. We could tell that he was interested in knowing who we are as a couple (mostly concerned about capturing fun/funny moments while holding us accountable to taking the nice portrait pictures with our friends and families) so that he could better capture the night in a way that reflects the time we had. The pictures turned out great! So many candids of us and our guests smiling, dancing, and laughing (and sweating) together. dding photography. We were running late all morning and they helped us pivot and found opportunities for photos throughout the night-even in freezing temperatures for a few minutes at a time. They captured so many spontaneous moments that I’m so grateful to have photos of now-moments that I wouldn’t have thought to ask for and just happened naturally. They were there to get it all! Kyo was helpful and kind throughout our planning and helped us feel at ease. Our pictures came out amazing and I would recommend Kyo to everyone.

I am incredibly uncomfortable having my picture taken but Kyo always has such a vision for his photos. He's excited to get interesting and creative shots. It really made me feel like I was apart of his vision - that took off so much pressure from me and made me trust him. That, plus I have literally never looked better in any photos. I don't know what magic he does but he always caught our most flattering angles. He captures formal photos but also the sweet moments that show people's personalities and give a sense of the spirit of a moment. The album we received was beautifully done and beautifully packaged. Janna helped us through the difficult process of narrowing down a photo selection and kept us updated throughout the production of the album. All the shots felt very genuine and intimate - something we really wanted for our own photos. We knew immediately that he should be our photographer. During the wedding, he was very happy to accommodate our guests who wanted him to take pictures of them as well. We also did a fun little shoot with props with the extra time we had! He was very open to these ideas. The digital photos came out gorgeous. We received our physical photo album that they created for us and the quality was incredible. It came in a lovely box with thick, stay-flat pages and each photo was color-corrected and touched up for print. Thank you, Kyo and Janna. I'd rather not pose for a ton of photos but instead have someone capture moments throughout the day that are 100% natural and raw. Just to name a few reasons we loved working with Kyo and Janna: -The warm, personable, and professional demeanor of both Janna and Kyo: From the minute we met them in person and throughout the whole process of the wedding, we were always met with kindness and consideration. We felt so comfortable and confident in the process of planning the wedding photography with them. -The promptness of responding: Anyone planning a wedding knows it's important to get quick and informative answers to questions. I always heard back from Janna/Kyo soon after I sent them a message and they did their best to answer my questions. I even found my makeup consultant through them! -How easy Kyo made the day of the wedding feel in terms of our portraits and couples photo session: The way Kyo directed us during the day of our wedding made us feel so comfortable and it felt EASY to take photos throughout the day. I kept telling Kyo that I felt like I should have been doing more during the day because he was so on top of everything and let me attend to everything else. Our guests commented on how Kyo was so attentive and clearly documenting all of the special moments. -We haven't even seen the final product yet but I am 100% confident we'll be so happy. We ordered one of their fine art wedding albums so we're excited for that keepsake. Thank you!!

His photographs are beautifully composed and very sophisticated. Although he specializes in documentary style photography, he took absolutely stunning formal portraits. He also captured little, offbeat moments that will help me remember the details of the day that seemed to go by way too fast! I usually hate having my picture taken, but Kyo made me and my husband feel completely at ease and the pictures turned out beautifully. He knows the area (central and North Jersey) very well which was helpful because I did not know the Bernardsville area at all. My family and guests have been raving about the photos.
