Hello, my name is Barbara Donatelli, of Lazy Mountain Acres. My family is Yup'ik Eskimo and I was born and raised in Anchorage, Alaska. I moved to Palmer in 2018 with my family to start a peony farm and added the wedding venue in 2023. Cheryl Tcimpidis joined our team 2022 as Manager, she helps with all the arrangements and venue questions.

With three ceremony venues and accommodations for the bridal party, not to mention the peony farm on site, this is arguably the most beautiful wedding spot in the greater Anchorage area with additional indoor improvements on the way.

Stunning peony garden here, and many other flowers around the property, both wild and cultivated. Great location for outdoor wedding or other gatherings with several options for meeting areas and rental items. Friendly and helpful staff.

ica, Cheryl and Barbara made our day so so special and I’m forever grateful for all the memories made. They have different venue options, so I would recommend exploring and choosing the one that fits you. We went with the amphitheater that overlooks the peony farm and it was just beautiful. They also have suites you can rent and stay the night of the wedding and after. It was super convenient! I will recommend to all of my friends and family.

Had my wedding in June and it was absolutely phenomenal! The owners of the property were extremely helpful. They had extra pieces of decor I could borrow and make my day extra special.

I still get complimented on the venue I chose for my wedding. The view is phenomenal!!
I will say peonies do not bloom in June for the most part (depending on the heat)
So if you want the peony background I believe it’s July or August they are in full bloom!
