If I were to do it again, I wouldn't even waste my time calling bands, I would hire Limelight 10 times out of 10. I had some hard requirements for using a DJ, and was probably bordering on "Groomzilla" depending on who you asked, but Limelight and Joe delivered. From our first call with Chris, he seemed extremely genuine and he responded positively to some of the expectations I laid out. After having seen his team in action, I fully understand why. Joe and his helper were amazing. His set list kept the dance floor packed the entire night. He did not need to rely on radio DJ adlibs to create the vibes and energy, his set list did the job. My wife and I said we wanted people on the dance floor all night, and planned our first dance and mother/son and father/daughter dances around keeping the party going. Joe did better than I ever could've hoped for. I was dancing so much I couldn't keep my shirt tucked in throughout the whole night. It wasn't just Sam and I who were happy with how Limelight performed, it was all we could hear from our guests. Whether it was people leaving that night, at the breakfast the next day, or texts we received throughout the following week, all the feedback was about how great of a party it was and how fantastic the DJ was. Joe even sent us over a set list of songs played so my wife and I can listen to our wedding day playlist whenever we want and be reminded of our special day. Thank you to Chris and Joe for making our day so much fun! You truly helped elevate the day to levels we couldn't have fathomed.

Even with a smaller wedding of about 70 guests, Joe kept the dance floor packed all night long. He completely blew us away with his ability to choose the perfect songs, create seamless blends, and read the room. Every song choice felt intentional, and he kept everyone dancing from start to finish. Multiple guests came up to us during and after the wedding saying they wished they could have his playlist because the music was that good. wedding.  We met with Limelight first, and spoke with Chris regarding what we were looking for in terms of photography. We wanted to remember our day as it was. Natural and true to life. We also discussed DJs and I said my biggest thing was that our DJ needed to have the right first dance song, as a friend of ours their DJ didn’t have their correct first dance song and had to scramble to get the correct one. Chris was very thoughtful in his response and acknowledging my worry, and explained the steps they take to insure things like that doesn’t happen. Photography: Jackie is in charge of the photography side, and let me say she is amazing (as well as her husband Chris). Both her and Chris were very responsive to my emails, and even at a time setting up a meeting to discuss a worry I had with photography. Chris was very receptive in what I had to say, asked me thoughtful follow up questions, and worked with me. It honestly ended up not even needing to be a worry as all of the photographers are amazing. However, it shows the level of care they take in being there for their couples, and how they run their business.  I also asked for specific photo albums to see examples of couples that resembled us as a couple. They were sent to me right away. This also impressed us because as a bride of color it’s not always easy to find that representation right away and to see examples.   An engagement photoshop came with our package, and as we are from out of state,  Jackie helped us pick a spot that would help bring our vision for photographs forward.  After getting photos at our reveal, we purchased five of the photos. Our photographer Jessica captured what we wanted, and we knew we would be in good hands come wedding day.  On our wedding day, Jessica, Shelby and Eric were great! The team was amazing when an initial photo I wanted wouldn’t work out because of timing and making sure guests didn’t see my dress, or heavy rain at night Jessica came up with other ideas to get me the shot I wanted.  We have received sneak peeks of our photos and are so excited for our reveal.  DJ: We were assigned Joe M. We didn’t really know what we wanted in terms of songs and just felt at a loss. In our meeting, Joe walked us through everything, asked us questions, gave thoughtful responses. In the end, with us giving the barest of directions, and that we wanted our dance floor lively, Joe read our guests, our personalities and vibe perfectly, our dance floor floor was going all night! He was also able to adapt to us adding in an extra prayer from my niece, and even remembers something we mentioned during our call that we even forgot about, and inquired with us to make sure we either wanted to do it or not. It’s the attention to detail and craft that wowed us. Photo Booth: The photo booth was a hit, and we loved being able to get an album of photos and messages from our guests to look back on at the end of the night. Overall Limelight was amazing to work with from the start and we are so happy we chose them. While this review is long, I think it’s important to just show the level of care that Jackie and Chris have regarding the business and how much they value their couples as well as all of the photographers and DJs. I will continue to recommend them over and over

he energy we wanted exactly. He really read the vibe and truly understood our crew. Banger after banger, impeccable transitions, and all kinds of genres. He gave us such a wide range from millennial throwbacks to ABBA to even KPop. It was incredible and the dance floor was packed all night. We are so thankful to Joe M for making our wedding an unforgettable experience. It truly would not have been such an amazing night without him. He was incredibly culturally sensitive as well and made sure he could pronounce our parents’ names correctly. We also used Limelight for our photography booth and had no complaints. Limelight was very easy to communicate with throughout the entire process and they were also very patient when our check was lost in the mail!

We had gotten a custom entrance done and Chris was so excited about using it at our wedding. He immediately thought of how to incorporate it and how to make the moment even more magical. Not only did I book a DJ, but I pictured a string duo for when I walked down the aisle and a saxophone player hyping everyone up on the dance floor. These literally blew it out of the park. I got so many compliments on Chris Camp and how he kept the crowd dancing! I did not have much of an opinion on what to play and let Chris know what I like to listen to. Based on my preferences and how I wanted the night to go, he rolled with it. He worked with the saxophone player flawlessly and every guest compliment the energy the sax player brought to the dance floor. I could not have asked for a better night for music, dancing, and a good time. Could not recommend Limelight and Chris Camp more. Truly one of the best and easiest parts of wedding planning was booking Limelight.

The day of the team was flexible with any small change that was needed and they were set up and ready to go with time to spare! Our guests cannot stop talking about how great our DJ was, especially because they did a wonderful job mixing American and Indian music and reading the crowd to play the best songs to get everyone on the dance floor. They really know what they are doing and their prices are competitive when compared to other vendors. We would absolutely use them again if getting married more than once was acceptable 😂
