I just had a large New Orleans wedding. From the time we selected Matt and his team, he exceeded our expectations. As a New Orleans bride, I was always concerned about weather. The day of my bridals, it hailed just an hour before my shoot. Matt kept me focused the entire session. Beyond that, he stayed over made sure I got photos outside once the weather cleared. His assistant, Cody was also AMAZING. Matt and his team are organized, professional, and so talented! He will certainly make all your photos dreams come true!

Matt and his team were wonderful. He reached out to us, and we immediately fell in love with his style. We sat with him and Cody after we booked and went over what we wanted and he got a feel for who were were individually and as a couple. He was very good about making sure he captured the moments we wanted and he has an excellent eye for what is going to look good. We didn't do bridals, but he made sure to get bridal style shots before the wedding at our venue. Every time there was a moment we felt would make a great picture, we would look up and he was there. In addition to Matt, his entire team was so amazing. Cody made sure every detail for every shot was on point and that all the photos we wanted were captured. We HIGHLY recommend them!

Matt and his team were everything we wanted and everything we didn't know we needed. It started with our consultation, our personalities just matched so well; it even turned out we knew some of the same people. Matt and his team was a well oil machine. The results of the photos instantly brought us back to the wedding. Showing friends and family have been a treat because they are constantly making comments as if we were movie stars. The photos came out so good. We heard a bunch of horror stories about couples not being satisfied with their wedding photos, and they regretted it, we won't have those stories. These are moments frozen in time that are meant to be treasured forever, Mateo & Company are apart of us forever. Thank you.

Both my wife and I were absolutely enamored with Matt and his amazing talent. He took care of us from start to finish. The photos were stunning but his personality blew us away. Best photographer ever ! If I could have a wedding to my wife every year he would be the photographer every time. He was very responsive to calls, texts and emails! Showed up early and helped calm our nerves ! He really just went above and beyond to not only capture timeless and classic photos of our day but to make sure everything was special and unique to us. Matt and his team is amazing!! My husband and I are both a little awkward when it comes to photos and we really were looking for a photographer that would be able to capture candid moments as well as good poses photos as well and Matt made sure that happened! Matt Diaz and his entire team at Mateo & Company are truly perfection and one of the best decisions we made during this wedding process. For our engagement photos, they took beautiful photos and suggested smart tips throughout the shoot to make each photo perfect. On the wedding day, they were calm and brought such a positive energy as we took photos getting ready and kept that attitude throughout the whole day. One particular stand out is that Matt suggested we take the bridal shots in a specific section of City Park in New Orleans, and we are so glad he suggested that space because the photos are breathtaking. We got our photos from them and we could not be happier. They are beautiful, romantic and such a perfect balance of posed and candid shots. As a Brooklyn, New York-based LGBT couple, we needed vendors who were accepting, organized and responsive and Matt and his team delivered. We highly recommend Mateo & Company because they are so talented, but also because they are such nice people – so genuine, fun, positive and wonderful. We loved our experience working with them and we’ll recommend them forever.

Matt is amazing. Anyone can see that his photos are beautiful, but he was great to work with from the start and was so calmly confident on the day; everything was a breeze. They seriously went above and beyond at every turn. Cody was constantly making sure that my train, ring, and everything else was perfectly in place for every photo AND they walked us through the cake cutting like the pros that they are! Sometimes I wonder what our wedding would have been like had we chosen a different venue or band or changed this timing or that, but I have *never* even considered having had another photographer - we had the best!

Matthew, Cody and team may have been the best part of the whole wedding weekend...well besides the marrying my best friend part. From our engagement pictures to the day of, this team was PHENOMENAL! We had a pretty large and rambunctious wedding party and they rolled with the punches and handled every detail with professionalism and fun. Taking hundreds of pictures in the middle of New Orleans summer heat on your wedding day can be exhausting, but I honestly had the best time because of the team and their ability to capture the fun and love! I felt like every picture they have of us, someone is laughing! Matthew was so attentive during the planning process and took the time to get to know my husband and I, which made me feel so secure in our choice of photographer! And let me say, Cody worked so hard styling the perfect shots and taming my beautiful but difficult cathedral veil in the middle of the french quarter! Y'all never missed a single detail! Once the festivities kicked off, I did not even notice them at the ceremony or reception. They blended right into the party and captured all of the hilarious, candid moments we could hope for. Diaz Nola Photography were the most amazing krewe to capture our wedding experience!!!! From the beginning with our engagement photos they were so accommodating and made us feel relaxed. Matt took my bridals and my wedding photos. He is truly talented. He will make you feel comfortable in front of the camera; he is willing to try anything to get a picture you want (i wanted one with my veil falling through the air... as you know there is no wind in louisiana 99% of the time but we got it!); and he is professional, courteous and SO much fun! This space is not big enough to fill with the love we have for Diaz Nola! By fate, these guys happen to be passing by as my then, fiancé proposed and since then it’s been a an absolute joy to work with them. I had a huge and sometimes, rowdy wedding party. They maintained control and professionalism the entire time! They make it a seamless process. I placed all my faith in them and was not dissapointed. I worked with a photographer briefly, in college and Matthew was so good about collaborating with me and bringing my ideas to life. I felt like I was hanging with friends anytime we were together. We did nothing, but laugh! These guys were constantly working to capture every moment. While planning my wedding, I encountered quite a few bumps in the road. However, I never worried about Matthew. He always came through, was organized and had a plan which made me feel secure in my choice of a photographer! I love his creative touch and use of various angles. Cody....oh my goodness, Cody is a girl’s best friend! He notices every detail from hairs out of place, to positioning your body to get that flattering angle, to making sure your train is where it needs to be and so much more. Trying to plan a destination wedding can be difficult especially if you don’t have reliable vendors set up. Matthew did a superb job capturing all my special wedding moments. My pictures are beautiful - clear and very colorful. His work is outstanding and I recommend him to anyone searching for a photographer.

I was beyond stressed about picking a photographer because I was not from New Orleans and we had a tight budget. Everyone whose pictures stood out to me were at least $1,000 over budget; and the people I found I could afford did not share my same creative vision and/or didn't match my personality. Then I found Matthew! TRUST ME you will not find someone more fun to be around on your wedding day and that is an important detail many people overlook! Our pictures are beautiful and there were so many things captured that I completely missed day of, so it was a fun surprise going through my pictures. We had so many options to chose from, and I loved how Matthew welcomed my opinions on edits. If I wanted something cropped, done in a muted filter, even a cup removed then he made it happen - and even better wanted to do those things for me. But equally as important I genuinely had fun with him during both our engagement shoot and wedding day. I was a ball of stress and didn't feel natural in front of the camera, but he was great at making me laugh and getting genuine moments, not just staged wedding pictures. He has stayed in touch even post edits to make sure I'm happy with everything and I 24601% am. I highly recommend him!

Could not have asked for a better photographer! Matt and his crew do a great job at making the experience fun and the end result are some really beautiful pictures. Im in love with so many of them that I have trouble picking a favorite !
