Working with Max all the way from the start was excellent. He worked with our schedules to go through all the details before we booked him. Any questions we had Max quickly responded. He was on time and very knowledgeable. For our wedding day he didnt miss a moment or detail that we asked for. Max even knew how to lay the train of my dress and fixed it for each photo. We received all of our pictures back about a week later, which was an amazing turnaround time. Use Max if you want peace of mind that your wedding day will be captured exactly how you want it.

Max was absolutely amazing from the first phone call consultation. When we talked to him about what we wanted for our wedding and engagement pictures, he was great with hearing our wishes and coming. During engagement pictures, Max helped us feel comfortable even though neither one of us usually likes photos. We got them back within a month, and we were in love! On our wedding day, Max was amazing at getting all of the getting ready photos without interrupting anyone. We discussed where to do our first look, and I'm so glad I trusted where he chose; they were amazing! Throughout the entire wedding, Max wasn't only an amazing photographer, but he was great at doing other small tasks to make sure things went off without a hitch (fluffing my train, fixing the aisle runner, etc.). He went above and beyond! We got out wedding photos back in just over a week, and only by looking at the cover photo, I knew I was in love with them. They're the perfect combination of classic with some amazing unique artistic aspects scattered throughout. If I had to chose only one vendor to use again, without a question, it would be Max!

My husband and I hired Max to take our wedding photos and I can't say enough good things about him and his work! He was wonderful to work with. He was very personable and engaging both with my husband and I as well as our guests. Many of our guests even commented on how much they liked him. Max goes over and above in every way as a photographer. He is a lighting Guru, no seriously, just browse through some of his recent sessions and he will knock your socks off. From taking breathtaking photos, to helping set out the seating chart. We were blown away with every aspect of working with Max, I cannot recommend him enough.

My husband and I lucked out with all of our wedding vendors, but Max was truly exceptional. From the beginning and throughout our relationship he was extremely prompt with correspondence and portrayed nothing but professionalism and organization. As I am not very photogenic I didn't have super high expectations for pictures and was just hoping to get a few good shots of my husband and myself and our families..but wow was I surprised when I got hundreds of pictures (the morning after the wedding!!) so many of which I absolutely loved. Throughout the day Max was working constantly to get great shots and it showed. To top it all off, he even stayed later than what we had hired him for so that he could capture some photos of the toasts (which is always my favorite part of any wedding and ended up being some of my favorite pictures overall). I feel so lucky to have had him as our photographer and would recommend him again and again.

I can not express enough how amazing Max is. Our wedding had to be postponed due to covid, and Max made sure to accommodate all of our needs. He was always prompt with responding to all of my emails. During our engagement session he made sure to make us feel comfortable, but also get to know us and how we interacted with each other for the wedding day. On our wedding day if there was a picture to be taken him and his partner Ed got it. So many of our guests have complimented their work and talked about how they were constantly snapping pictures. Max is all around awesome! He took our engagement and wedding pictures in 2018. He had great ideas and helped me feel comfortable during the shoot. He is prompt and so easy to communicate with. He can really command a crowd and keep people on time; we had big bridal party and big family pictures. He made sure to have a list of all the pictures that were my must haves. Max was an absolute joy to work with and completely exceeded our expectations. He traveled to Chicago for our engagement photos and went above and beyond, driving us around the city and getting shots at multiple locations. He produced great content and variety, and it was wonderful to get to know him – and his style – prior to our wedding day.  Max does a great job of making you feel relaxed in order to get the shots that fit the mood and setting. He’s also extremely adept at using light, angles and vantage points to get creative and artistic shots that incorporate nature and the elements. You’ll get plenty of traditional shots with traditional poses, but you’ll get just as many unique ones that have the “wow” factor. As for our actual wedding in Cincinnati, Max kept everyone loose and on schedule. We took hundreds of photos before the ceremony – with dozens of combinations of immediate family, extended family, and the wedding party. It was a whirlwind, but Max got all of the shots we wanted and made everyone feel comfortable in the process. I know because people told me that. The ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception photos were great as well: the perfect mix of formal and candid. Max definitely comes prepared. He’s seen it all and does anything and everything he can to ensure that the day goes off without a hitch. All in all, we couldn’t have been happier with the finished product and recommend Max enthusiastically and without hesitation.

Max is a sensational photographer and just wonderful to work with. He gives great direction without being pushy and is incredibly organized and calm during all of the photo shoots. My bridesmaids (who had all been in other weddings) also loved him so much, they want to bring him out when they get married (and they're not even from Cincinnati!). Max is great to work with! Doesn't waste your time, knows what he is doing and gives you pointers on how to pose. We we're able to split up our engagement pictures to get pictures in a couple seasons and he was very accommodating and flexible. Our wedding pictures are beautiful and we got them back within a couple weeks. He wasn't "in the way" and got some fantastic, creative shots. He's very passionate about what he does and it shows through his work.

Where to begin? Max is simply amazing at his craft. We had the pleasure of him Photographing our engagement and wedding. Max isn’t your “run of the mill” photographer. He is polite, on time, artistically sound, and has a fun/no BS professionalism to his process. He is able to direct and pose people in a fun/ non-bossy manner and is able to come up with last minute visions to get the perfect shot. It rained up until our outside ceremony was supposed to start but you would never know it. You would never know that it was gloomy out from the pictures because he doesn’t just take “pictures”. He captures moments the way they were meant to be remembered. His second lead photographer Blanche (sorry if I spelled it wrong), is just that. She is not a backup or assistant. We were very impressed with her as well. She holds the same professionalism and artistic ability as Max. Max was the absolute best from the day we first met him to the day he delivered our images two weeks after our wedding! Trust him with your special day and you won’t regret it. When we started planning our wedding, we knew that one of the most important decisions we could make when it came to our vendors was the photographer. Maxim Photo Studio did not disappoint. Our wedding was in late November and our ceremony was at 4:30pm. We had decided that we did not want to do a first look before the ceremony, so, given the time of year, we knew that meant most of our photos would be after sunset. I looked at a countless number of studios online and met with one in person before meeting with Max, the owner at Maxim. Given my experience with the first studio we met with, I was afraid Max would try to push us into doing our first look before the ceremony to save daylight. However, I was so relieved when Max was supportive of our decision and when we saw the countless number of amazing nighttime photos he has taken. However, it was not just Max's evening photos that impressed. His whole portfolio is filled with beautiful pictures and I knew, even before the wedding, that we had made the right choice. During the wedding, Max was extremely professional and efficient, but still easy going and fun. Neither my husband nor I love getting our picture taken, but Max made us feel at ease during the whole process. We received so many compliments from our bridal party about how great of a job he did the day of the event. During our ceremony and reception, I did not notice Max once (no jumping in the middle of the aisle, no loud clicks of the camera), but he managed to capture every single moment beautifully. When we received our photos back, we were blown away. His photos are timeless and he artfully captured the whole day. We will be able to relive our wedding through these photos in the years to come and we are so thankful to Max and his team for all their hard work!

When we first started out the blissful mission of planning our wedding, we initially hired a different photographer (who shall remain nameless). When we got our images back from our engagement session, we knew we had to find someone new. Obviously, we were a little jaded after the first experience, but that all changed when we found Maxim Photo Studio. From the moment we first spoke with Max, he put us at ease and made the process not only less stressful, but fun. Max re-shot our engagement session, did the wedding, and then did a post-wedding shoot. The process was quick, easy, and very professionally done. Planning a wedding can be a painful process, so I really can't say enough about how important to us it was that Max and his team made sure that the photos were really the last thing we had to worry about. What I haven't mentioned yet are the photos themselves. In a word, they're UNBELIEVABLE. Max and the team got great shots of every detail for all of our various sessions. The quality is amazing--he even made ME look good. Max is a truly innovative photographer; the shot that really amazed us was the drone shot at Ault Park. Totally awesome and not something you'll get from just anyone. WOW!!! Maxim Photography was the HARDEST working vendor we had the pleasure of working with as we prepared for our BIG Day. As we were looking and interviewing photographers for what seemed like weeks, late one night I stumbled upon his photo galleries and we were in awe of the shots. I knew right away that this was the most important vendor to work with because the photos are what we walk away with and will see in our home on a regular basis. My mother and I decided to email Max immediately (which was well after midnight) and within 30ish minutes he responded and we met with him later that afternoon. Max's communication is impeccable and practically instant. He is very responsive and truly listens and takes care of his clients. I never felt that he rushed us in and out. He wanted us to feel comfortable and made an effort to get to know us, know our story, and understand our wishes with our wedding photos. His laid-back, confident professionalism puts everyone at ease. He made us laugh and we had fun! Max and his team made us feel as though our wedding and the shots that were taken were of the utmost importance. He valued and achieved our design for our wedding photos. Max took the most beautiful engagement photos and had the best ideas for our second photo location. When I asked about using a tandem bike on our engagement photos he was excited and captured us with it perfectly. This enthusiasm is truly contagious and can be felt in everything he does! Max moves so seamlessly and he is organized and prepared so that he is able to maximize the photo time. He worked from sun up to well after dark the day of our wedding. His professionalism and quality of work is second to none! He did whatever it took to get the best shot. If that meant laying on the ground in the grass/dirt or floor he was going to do it without any hesitation. His artistic eye and perfectionism were incredible. My husband and our families are now reaping the rewards of his hard work. We will treasure these photos forever! Max was the photographer for both the engagement session and the wedding day pictures. He met with us before hand to get to know us and understand what pictures and style we were looking for. He did a fantastic job making sure to capture all the pictures we wanted and our personalities. I recommend him to everyone I know.

I can't recommend Maxim Photo Studio enough. We knew we wanted Max shooting our wedding as soon as we met him. He's extremely detail-oriented, which is so important when it comes to a production such as a wedding. You can can tell from his questionnaires that he's very mindful of the bride and groom's vision of the wedding. He caps the number of weddings he shoots in a year, and focuses on providing quality service and a great experience for the client, which I really valued. I was also blown away by his quick turnaround time, from how quickly he responded to phone calls and emails, to how quickly he got our photos together to us. It really made us feel like valued clients. On our wedding day, we had a hiccup in our timeline (due to another vendor dropping the ball), but Max seamlessly moved things around and I never once felt like our photo timeline was even affected. You know you've got the full package when your photographer is detail-oriented, artistically talented, and provides a great customer experience.

If you are looking for the best in the business, look no further! Max takes his time with each client to understand their style, personality and specific wishes. From the moment we stepped into his studio to meet with him for the first time, we could tell that Max not only knew what he was doing with photography but that he cared whether or not he could meet our individual needs as our engagement/wedding photographer. My (now) husband hates having his picture taken, but after just a few minutes with Max he could tell that he was a very genuine, down-to-earth individual which put him at ease! With both our engagement session and our wedding, at no point did I feel as if he was counting minutes on the clock, only that he wanted to be sure every shot was captured perfectly- a true measure of quality. Keep in mind, when looking for a photographer you will generally get what you pay for- Max and his team are worth every penny!
