Melissa loves living in South Florida. Her interests include Modern Art, floral & succulents design, gardening, entertaining (of course!) and days at the beach with her family. Melissa earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in English Literature and Art History at Drew University in Madison, New Jersey. Melissa worked as a television commercial producer in New York City for seven years before returning to her South Florida roots. She was delighted to have the opportunity to bring her business and creative talents back to Miami when she gained ownership of her family's twenty-year old endeavor; The Sweet Treat Emporium, a gourmet gift boutique and chocolatier. In 1997, Melissa sold Sweet Treat to launch a full-service event production and wedding planning company.

The MDD team was excellent from start to finish helping us plan our wedding day at The Addison in Boca Ratón. They were incredibly detail oriented and helped us keep our heads on straight in the last few months before the wedding. Strongly recommend MDD to help you plan any event, large or small!
I recently had the opportunity to experience the artistry and professionalism of Melissa and her team. We were at a beautiful venue - The Brazilian Court Hotel in West Palm Beach. Her expertise and attention to detail was second to none. I walked into pure luxury. As an officiant, I have seen it all and a Melissa Davis Designs is perfection. Highly recommend and I look forward to experiencing her expertise in the very near future! Highly recommend!

She and her crew are not only professional and on top of their game, but they make you feel heard and seen and that the best day of your life will be in good hands. Melissa and her team were so above and beyond amazing. Firstly, they are so knowledgeable about the industry and every step of the way. They make the overwhelming process of throwing a big wedding more manageable and fun. They are so detailed oriented and on top of things which resulted in a more relaxed experience for everyone. Melissa Davis and her team (Bonnie & Brittney) helped me plan the wedding day of my dreams. They are absolute pros, and thought of every single detail. Throughout the planning process, they were always available for any question I had and always gave thorough, extremely helpful answers. They recommended the best vendors and have close relationships with each, which was highly beneficial. On the day of my wedding, they took care of everything and made it look easy. Having them there took all my stress away because I knew I was in good hands. Above all, they treated my husband and I like family. They always treated us with utmost kindness, patience, and care. I wouldn't have wanted to plan my wedding with anyone else!

This review is long overdue, but we are still basking in our beautiful wedding weekend! Melissa was absolutely amazing to work with and everything was impeccable. We moved our Welcome Dinner inside at the last minute and because of her wonderful relationships with all of her vendors, they were able to transform the space in no time - it was better than my wildest dreams.
Melissa is not only professional, creative, and talented, but she is also the kindest person to work alongside. In addition to our wedding weekend running SO smoothly and stress-free, the whole weekend was filled with such love, energy, and warmth which we credit to Melissa and her team.
Brittany and Bonnie were also a pleasure to work with. They were ALWAYS there when we needed them and got to know my husband and me so well - even leaving thoughtful touches in our room after the wedding on Saturday night.
Bottom line - Hire Melissa Davis Designs for your next event. She became a close friend of the family by the end and we (even my dad!!) miss speaking with her so often!
I absolutely LOVED working with Melissa & her team. They were so organized and on top of every detail. They helped me with the whole wedding weekend - rehearsal dinner, wedding, and farewell brunch. I was most blown away by the way they handled the wedding weekend itself. Everything went off so smoothly - not one hiccup. They coordinated the whole wedding party and made sure everyone always knew where to go & when. They took care of transporting everything we needed for the wedding to the venue and organized everything after the wedding back in my suite for when I got back. I really couldn't speak more highly of Melissa and her team. They are truly the best.
Melissa Davis was our planner for a 150-person rehearsal dinner in a private home, a 220-person wedding and reception in a hotel, and a 100-person brunch after the wedding. In planning and execution, she, personally, was there every step of the way in preparation and execution. Her substantial team was excellent as well. She is very knowledgeable, easy to work with, and extraordinarily well organized.
I cannot praise her highly enough and will call on her first for any future event I hold.

You will not have to think about one thing on your day and they seem to have things ready for you before you even know you need it. I am still shocked at how calm I felt all weekend long. Melissa and her team were superb to work with and made our wedding a pleasure esp since we live in NY and had an out of town wedding at the St Regis in Bal Harbour. Not only did she take care of all the logistics flawlessly but she helped us secure local vendors and truly took care of insuring everyone had a wonderful time. Would hire her again in a heartbeat.
Melissa and her team went above any beyond IN THE MIDDLE OF A PANDEMIC to make my fairytale dreams come true. Despite ever-changing mandates and restrictions, Melissa and her team were resilient in their planning efforts, and not to mention in amazing moral support. Everything was seamless when the day finally came and I don't know how it could have ever happened without them. I don't know how I got so lucky!! I simply cannot express my gratitude because there are not enough words to convey how I feel about Melissa, Bonnie, and Melinda as well as all of Melissa's amazing vendor recommendations. Melissa is absolutely wonderful and a true professional. We were working with another wedding planner and things were not going well so we reached out to Melissa to take over the entire wedding process. It was one of the most important decisions we made during our planning and we don’t regret it. She addressed all of our concerns, and had a plan and recommendations for everything. She recommended the best reception venue and our guests are still raving about the food a whole year later. She also recommended a great floral design company and our wedding and reception turned out absolutely beautiful.
On our wedding day, it started to rain before the ceremony. We had a garden ceremony planned and didn’t know what to do. Melissa quickly handled the situation and we were able to keep the ceremony outside but out of the rain. It was a beautiful ceremony and we were very happy with it,
Melissa has been event planning for a long time so she knows exactly what to do. She is great to work with and is very responsive to your needs. As soon as we hired her, our wedding planning became stress free and so easy. We strongly recommend Melissa. You won’t regret it!
I worked with Melissa for my 25 person wedding weekend and have nothing but great things to say. She helped plan not only our wedding but also a celebration the night after at my parents house. Both were beyond words. Not only was she extremely fun to work with, she was also open to my ideas and really helped my vision come to life. Her vendors were equally lovely to work with. I seriously cannot express how much I loved Melissa and her team. By the end of the weekend, they felt like an extension of our family.
