Mena went above and beyond to help me after mildly traumatizing and extremely disappointing trial experience with a competitor. With a drive to make things perfect for you, she spent time consulting with me prior to a trial, color matched me for clip-in hair extensions, which she was very honest about the need for to achieve the look o desired, and overall put me at ease for one of the most important physical aspects of my big day. She did a beautiful trial, and incredible work the day off for me as the bride! Her team did a great job on my bridal party as well. My little niece was elated to have glitter added to her flower girl bun, and the team was so kind and patient with everyone. If you are a picky bride, Mena is the woman to work with! She truly takes pride in her craft, and I am very grateful she was available to help prepare me for one of the most important (and highly photographed!) days of my life! Thank you, Mena!

Mena and her team were absolutely fantastic! Mena’s studio for trial hair and make-up was so cute! I came in with some pictures/inspiration for my hair and make-up and it turned out perfect! On wedding day, the team arrived right on time and were able to get all our hair/make-up done right according to the schedule! Mena is so kind and does great work! Everyone on her team was fantastic as well!

BOOK MENA & HER TEAM ASAP! I got married in Wilmington, NC in August 2022, but was living in California at the time while planning the wedding. My venue had sent a list of trusted makeup & hair vendors in the Wilmington area, but I just wasn’t crazy about any of their previous looks they had done and needed someone better. Also, since I was living out of state, I needed flexibility in booking a trial as it would be based on when I visit NC so it was easiest to choose a team that does both hair & makeup. First off, I was extremely impressed with Mena’s professionalism and the whole look of her investment guide pdf. Other artists in Wilmington were just sending me Word docs with prices and outdated stuff and it just wasn’t enticing but WOW I really appreciated Mena’s organization and responsiveness. She was also very accommodating to allow me to reserve two trial dates in case 1 didn’t work out. She gave me peace of mind through the whole process. And then trial & wedding day SHE KILLED IT! I do a decent job at my own hair & makeup so I really wanted a natural glam for my wedding day that would make me still look like me but the best version and that is absolutely what Mena delivered. We also did glam waves that held ALL day & night through rain and humidity - people still ask me to this day how my hair still looked so good at the end of the night. Her team was early in setting up and ready to go, stuck to the timeline really well, and all the other artists did amazing jobs on my bridesmaids and the mothers as well. Mena is also so sweet and goes above and beyond to make sure everything is perfect (even helped use a Tide to-go on a small stain that was on my robe lol) and helped calm me down when I was stressed about possible rain on our day. 10/10 recommend trusting Mena and her team for your special occasion!!!

Picking Mena and her team for hair/makeup on my wedding day was the best decision! Mena is the sweetest person, and she made me feel comfortable and relaxed. She is patient and ensures you love the final look during your trials before the big day. She is very detail oriented, knowledgeable, trustworthy and will stick to the timeline. She made me feel absolutely beautiful, and I am forever grateful! I am already brainstorming for future events so I can ask her to do my hair and makeup again! :)

Mena did an amazing job on my makeup. She made me feel like a beautiful bride. The compliments on my makeup never stopped all night. She was able to pin in my tiara as well. It only came out during the dips while I was dancing but otherwise, it was in all night. Her amazing crew made my bridal party and the two mothers also look amazing. They made them all feel years younger.

If I could give her Ten stars I would! Mena was amazing to work with!! She is so genuinely sweet and really cares about your special day! Usually when you get your hair or make up done at a wedding you end up not liking something about it and fix it yourself. But I can say each of my bridesmaids and myself were 100% happy with our hair and make up! My bridemaids loved Mena and her team! They said it felt like we were hanging out with our own friends! Mena and her team are also very professional as well! I was in love with my hair and my makeup on my wedding day! I am sure I’ll reach out again for my hair and make up for a special event! Mena and her team were absolutely wonderful to work with. Mena was extremely kind, organized, fun to be around, and not to mention talented! My bridal party absolutely loved their hair and makeup, and several have said that it's the best hair/makeup they've ever had done for a wedding! I am not a huge makeup person, but Mena did such an incredible job of understanding me and my style -- I felt beautiful and glamorous, but also completely myself. I cannot recommend MGB enough!

Mena's team was fantastic! I had a large group of bridesmaids and family members getting hair and makeup done. They were flexible and organized and helped us figure out a schedule that worked well. We all loved our hair and makeup styles!!! They were able to create our visions perfectly and were able to help brainstorm what would look the best on each person. Can't recommend them highly enough.

Mena and her team were amazing! She was able to make me feel beautiful and glamorous but also like myself. My wedding day with her and her staff of ladies was like hanging out with my group of girlfriends. Everyone was so nice and friendly but also professional and timely. Mena & her team made my girls and I look and feel like glowing royalty on my big day! I have never felt more beautiful, and my hair stayed perfect after walking a few blocks in very gusty winds for my first look and still looked great at the end of the night!! She was so personable and attentive, always making sure that the finished look was as close as possible to what I envisioned, and took extra care to make sure my stubborn hair held a curl. Such a wonderful experience with Mena! I had my hair & makeup done, as well as trials for my wedding. The first time I met her, there was coffee and Taylor Swift music playing! I felt like we were already friends! She is so sweet and attentive. She worked with me until we found the look I was envisioning, and was so accommodating through all the changes. Mena was an absolute pleasure to work with. Going into the Bride Trial, I was very worried: I have very thin hair that barely holds a curl--no worries though! Mena was able to style my hair in my dream style. and it held throughout the entire wedding day. My makeup was also beautiful and, similarly, stayed fresh throughout the evening. The same goes for my bridesmaids' hair and makeup. We all received so many compliments, both on how well they did and also on how long our hair and makeup lasted. I cannot recommend Mena and her lovely, artistic, friendly team enough. They were all truly wonderful and made my wedding morning both fun and easy.

Mena and her entire team were incredible to work with. As someone who doesn't really wear a lot of makeup normally, it was really important to me to find someone who knew what they were doing and would make me feel confident on our day. To say that Mena and her team knocked out hair and makeup for my wedding would be an understatement! After moving our wedding multiple times, I had a lot of stress about HMU vendor. This all went away during my trial with Mena. Not only is her work STUNNING, her presence and demeanor is calming and I knew she would be the perfect fit to have with my bridal party on our wedding day. Day of, Mena and her team were prompt and efficient. They stayed ahead of schedule and brought a fun atmosphere to the bridal suite. I pulled Mena aside on the wedding day to tell her how happy all my bridesmaids were with their HMU and after being in several weddings, sometimes you can tell when the rest of the HMU team is not as skilled as the owner or main stylist - this is NOT the case for Mena Garcia's team. Whether booking just for bridal or a full bridal party, Mena will leave you looking amazing and feel confident to walk down the aisle looking your best.

She created a timeline for the eight ladies that were getting their hair and makeup done and she was super responsive leading up to the wedding day. My Mom and Grandma were somewhat nervous about getting their make-up professionally done as they still wanted to “look themselves,” and they NAILED IT. Everyone was so happy and felt so beautiful. If you want a hair/makeup recommendation, they’ll suggest something beautiful, and if you show them a picture, they’ll ace it. I will forever recommend Mena and her team!

Mena did my hair and makeup for my wedding day. I am so happy I found her because she did such an amazing job! She is so so talented and both the makeup and hair turned out absolutely beautiful and flawless. She asked for a few pictures for inspiration before the big day and she delivered my vision above and beyond. Communication was excellent and she was so helpful with not only my makeup and hair but also with getting into my dress and staging some of the first bridal photos. There were 2 brides plus 15 bridesmaids, best women, and 2 Mother’s! Mena and her assistants started by 8am and had everyone’s makeup and hair ready by 3:30 for a 4:30 wedding. Mena and crew were amazing! Our makeup and hair were stunning! I highly recommend Mena! She is so kind too...just the sweetest!

Our wedding had 2 ceremonies - traditional Laotian and American. The Laotian one is high bun with ornaments. I wanted to be able to let my hair down for the American rather than wear the bun for the entire day. Mena truly delivered. Not only was she able to curl my hair and have that set in the bun, she worked quickly and efficiently during my 30 minute transition to American ceremony to let my hair down and style it. I also received numerous compliments on my make up. I put all my trust in her and did not do a trial with my make up. I could not have asked for a better MUA.
