Carolyn and her team provided excellent hair and makeup services for the bridal party. She was kind and thoughtful and make sure everyone was happy and comfortable with their chosen style. As the bride, I was thrilled with Carolyn's bridal hair and makeup services - she helped me keep my style simple yet refined and excelled at the natural makeup look that I was going for.

I've always been particular about my makeup artists and was nervous about finding someone who would match my look. Rachelle was by far one of the best artists I've had and really listened and matched what I was looking for both my wedding look. She was so easy to talk to and really helped me relax on my wedding day! Highly recommend her for your event.

Alexis was fantastic! She came to my house to do the trial for both my mom and myself, and worked with us for several hours to make sure she understood everything we wanted - and making recommendations that were spot on! The day of, Alexis was on time, finished everyone early, leaving time at the end for final touchups (and extra time for myself). The second hairstylist created GORGEOUS updos for all of my bridesmaids - each unique to their own wants and style. I highly recommend modern bridal (especially Alexis) for brides looking for affordable packages and modern hair and makeup styles!

Jacinda and Carolyn did an amazing job enhancing the beauty of my four bridesmaids, my mom, my future MIL, and moi. I first fell in love with Modern Bridal Studio via their Instagram handle (check them out now!) and was drawn to their effortlessly chic style. My trial with Jacinda at their Alexandria studio was so much fun – I felt like I was hanging out with an old friend. We tweaked a little bit here and there throughout the two our prep session and my vision was complete. Day of, Jacinda and her partner Carolyn arrived at EARLY and transformed our hotel room into a mini beauty salon. They kept to schedule while also enhancing our getting ready girl time (90s jams in the background, ‘Friends’ on mute on the TV, gossip flowing… the best). My hair and make-up felt so natural throughout the day – and the girls and moms were stunning! Wish they could be my glam squad every day.

Loved the hair and makeup that Carolyn did for my engagement photo shoot! She took my ideas for a soft, natural look and ran with them, and the end product was delightful. I was so pleased in her care to my expectations and loved her work. The entire process, from booking to appointment was seamless. Carolyn was extremely responsive, communicative and flexible in all of our planning. Highly recommend Modern Bridal Studio!

Carolyn and her team is wonderful! Felicia did hair and makeup for my wedding, and she was unbelievably sweet and did beautiful work. We made several changes from my trial, and honestly - Felicia was more than willing to adjust. I felt completely comfortable asking for little tweaks here and there, and the mother of the groom was able to re-do her hairstyle with plenty of time. Felicia was so calm and friendly - it was a perfect fit for a sometimes stressful day. And above all, she did a beautiful job - I felt like the best version of myself. Everyone looked so lovely!

I came to the US a month and a half before my wedding, so it was a great relief that Modern Bridal Studio took my reservation with such short notice. Ever since the beginning Carolyn and her team were very professional. The trial was a great experience, and the wedding day went perfect. My mom and I were very happy with the service provided, and also the understanding of our needs and expectations in such an especial day. Paulina, our make up artist, was the greatest! So patient and understanding!

I'm so happy we chose modern bridal for our hair and make up! Me and all the bridesmaids were very happy with our hair and make up and Carolyn and her team were very professional and on time. Nothing but good things to say about them!

The hair was amazing for our wedding!! Sara did a trial with me a couple months before. I showed her a picture of what I wanted, she looked at it for a few minutes, listened to how I wanted it to be a little different, and created exactly what I wanted - it was insane - how doe they do that??!! She also found hair extensions that matched my red hair that I've been trying to find for YEARS!! I bought them and used them for the wedding and any other event. Sarah and Dani arrived on my wedding day and did my hair and makeup, my bridesmaids hair and makeup, and th emothers' hair and makeup - everyone was stunning!! Definitely never felt more beautiful and they were extremely friendly on top of it; they truly played a huge part in feeling that my wedding was one of a kind and magical!!

Carlos did my hair and makeup for both my trial and wedding day and all the hair for my bridesmaids on the wedding day and he was absolutely fantastic. He was professional and a true artist at his trade. My maid of honor called him, "Carlos the magician with magic hands" at one point because we were all so impressed with everyone's hair. He made sure each of us were touched up and looking perfect before pictures, which we all really appreciated. - Modern Bridal Studio was very accommodating and very responsive and attentive. They come highly recommended.

I had an amazing experience with Modern Bridal Studio! I was very impressed with their prompt responses to my emails and flexibility throughout the wedding planning process. Of course, the most important review is of their fantastic artists. All 8 of my bridesmaids were thrilled with their makeup, and I don't have enough good things to say about how my hair and makeup looked. I was pretty particular about wanting a natural but elegant look and Danielle completely nailed it. She was very focused on making sure everything was exactly how I envisioned it, as was Sarah, our second makeup stylist. Overall, I am so happy I chose Modern Bridal Studio for my big day!

I could not have been more pleased with my hair and makeup on my wedding day! As someone who wears minimal makeup on a daily basis, I needed a bit more guidance on my wedding day look, and also wanted to ensure that my look was very natural. Courtney delivered on both counts! She was extremely friendly and professional, and was able to use a few photos to turn my vision into a reality. She also did a fantastic job on my bridesmaids' hair. She was an absolute pleasure to work with!

I was so happy to have Mandy Hollinger do my makeup (as well as my mom's and bridesmaids') on my wedding day through Modern Bridal Studio. She's so lovely to be around and made great company, and we were all completely happy with our makeup for the entire day. I absolutely recommend that you request her if you can! Carolyn and the MBS team were great to work with when scheduling my trial and booking our wedding day appointments.

We used Modern Bridal for bridal hair, airbrushed bridal makeup plus hair and makeup for 6 bridesmaids, the Mother of the bride and the Mother of the Groom. Quality and timeliness was great and everyone loved how they looked. I also did two trials to ensure my hair would be what I wanted on the day of the wedding, and Emine did exactly what I wanted. I also want to note that the makeup artist that was reserved for our wedding ended up having a personal emergency and Carolyn - the owner of Modern Bridal - stepped in last minute and took over all responsibilities. Super experience overall.

I had a bad experience with Modern Bridal Studio. I booked an appointment a week in advance to get my makeup done for my engagement photos. I made my appointment with Carolyn based off reviews on Wedding Wire and the Knot. Carolyn never showed up for my appointment as scheduled and after waiting 25 minutes (I had a 30 minute appointment) I had no choice but to leave and go home to do my own makeup. It ruined my day. I will not be using Modern Bridal Studio in the future.

Love the artists at Modern Bridal! It took so much stress out of the wedding morning to be able to get ready in the comfort of the bridal suite, and our hair and makeup looked amazing and held up wonderfully through all of the tears, outdoor pictures, and a raucous dance floor.

I was so pleased with my experience with Modern Bridal Studio! Carolyn was very helpful and responsive when I was trying to make up my mind on hair and makeup. Once the style was confirmed after the trial, she was on hand to provide general guidance and field frantic questions and requests. Carolyn and her staff accommodated a ten person bridal party and made the entire process easy, fun, and low-stress. All my needs were met and I would recommend Modern Bridal Studio to anyone without hesitation.

We had an early morning wedding, so I needed to find help with hair and makeup on location at the hotel, starting around 6am, for myself and the bridal party. With Modern Bridal I was able to meet the stylist at the trial run so we could get to know each other and make plans for my hair and makeup. Everything went as planned and it was a great experience.

I checked viewed about 50 websites and checked the pricing for several vendors before deciding to book my bridal hair and makeup with modern bridal. I actually booked modern bridal prior to my trial run. I immediately decided to book with this vendor because all the brides in pictures looked absolutely beautiful without being overly made up. My goals was to look a better version of myself on the day of my wedding rather than a mannequin. The day of my trial was not quite certain what I wanted my hair and makeup to look, so I took a bunch of pictures and Stefanie combined elements of each to make a perfect but unique wedding updo for the day of my wedding. Stefanie also did the hair and makeup for my mom as well as my bridesmaids and everyone was very happy with their hair and makeup. Thanks to modern bridal I felt like a princess and I looked great for our wedding pictures. I am so happy I chose modern bridal and I highly recommend them for both hair and makeup.

Paulina and Erica styled my bridesmaids and myself for my wedding day. Paulina did my hair and makeup, and she did an amazing job! I looked like myself, but glamorous and beautiful in a way I could never do myself. The vendor prices are competitive with the going DC rates, and they do wonderful work. They were also responsive, on time and great to chat with while I sat in the chair.

Modern Bridal Studio was a great choice for my wedding hair and makeup! Carolyn was a great contact leading up to the big day. Paulina came to my apartment for a trial and did a fabulous job. She listened to what I asked for, and fixed it when it wasn't 100% right. Then on the big day, she and Rachelle showed up early, and did a fabulous job getting my whole bridal party all glamorous. They made my already beautiful bridesmaids look even more stunning. Every single person loved their hair and makeup, and they were flexible on adding/changing services once we were there. But most of all, my hair and makeup were perfect. They made me look like a model, and I received the most amazing compliments all day/night long. My hair was even put together so well, that it lasted the entire day after the wedding while I was swimming and splashing in the river. These girls were well worth the money and I would highly recommend them!

Having effortlessly communicated with Carolyn to setup the details, I'm so thrilled to have been paired with Stephanie for my and my MOH hair and makeup. I met with Stephanie for a trial at my apartment a couple months before my big day. We started by chatting about the feel of the wedding day, my dress, and I showed her some inspiration photos...then we got to work! Not only is she very talented; thoughtful in my requests and accommodating to my feedback, she is a total sweetheart. I enjoyed the process and look, as well as the company. I was so excited to have her join my MOH and I as we prepared for the day. Stephanie met us at our hotel room and it instantly felt like an old friend had arrived. We had a great time and my sister and I looked fantastic! Stephanie worked her magic replicating my look from the trial with ease AND sewed a button back on my dress in a moment of panic just before the start of the festivities. Our hair and makeup held up well into the night, despite jumping and dancing for hours, too! Long story short, Modern Bridal Studio made the whole process, stress-free and effortless...and Stephanie is amazing! I'm so happy and grateful to have had her talents and personality as a part of the big day!

I could not have been happier with my hair & makeup on my wedding day. Dani made me and my bridesmaids looks flawless on a hot summer day, and our makeup stayed on perfectly despite the heat. Carolyn was also a pleasure to work with leading up to our wedding day. The whole morning was very relaxing since Dani came to where we were staying and no one had to commute. We all got ready in the same room, listened to music, and it was a good way to relax and calm any wedding day jitters.

I chose Modern Bridal Studio to be the hair and make up vendor for my wedding in Alexandria, VA. I had Carolyn, the owner of the company, do my hair and make up. I had 7 other ladies scheduled for hair and make up, and there were separate artists that came to take care of their services so that Carolyn's attention was focused on me. I paid for all of the services in advance, but I had many friends visit my hotel room while we were getting ready. Two of my friends loved how great everyone looked and wished that they had scheduled appointments. When Carolyn was finished with my hair and make up, she offered to do my friends as well even though they weren't scheduled! She had the capability for them to pay on credit right there. Everyone came out gorgeous! Throughout the trial process, Carolyn was great about offering suggestions and trying to recreate exactly what I was looking for. I had several trials because I wanted to try different looks and she was very patient and tried multiple looks at each trial. She took pictures of each from all different angles and sent them to me so that I could look them over at home and decide which look was the best. On the day of my wedding, my hair came out amazing and I got a ton of compliments on it. My make up was flawless and stayed on all day and night. I would highly recommend Carolyn based on her demeanor, her ability to be a creative partner in the process, her professionalism, and her hair & make up abilities.

Carolyn is fantastic! This past weekend was my brothers Wedding where she did the hair and makeup for my mother, myself, my SIL and my 2 aunts. She is a consummate professional, timely and extremely talented. A true artist! This was the second time I have used Carolyn's services and it will not be the last. I would absolutely recommend her to anyone for their Wedding.

Timing was the only problem with Modern Bridal Studio. Other than that, me and my bridesmaids looked gorgeous.
