Danny Farrell is a rockstar! He made our wedding so smooth and so much fun. He's sweet, funny, organized, and played all the music we wanted him to play. Our guests, and Vince and I absolutely loved him. We were on the dance floor the entire time after dinner. We highly recommend NYC DJ's in LA with Danny Farrell. He's communicative, receptive, and is super chill to work with. We couldn't be happier!!!! Book Danny in advance if you can though because he's popular! We booked him almost a year in advance. There is no words to describe how amazing Danny is. He guided our wedding perfectly and had the most perfect balance of dinner music, dance music etc. If I could give 5 million star review, I would! Best thing about Danny, is he is just a really nice, fun guy and super easy to work with. I wouldn’t use any other DJ for anything...wedding or any event! Danny was awesome. He met with us a month or two before our wedding to understand who we were and what we were looking for. He also provided a super comprehensive online form for us to fill out that made it so easy to pick our music preferences and explain how we wanted our event to go. At our wedding, Danny delivered and everyone had a great time. He didn't skip a beat and he kept all of our guests engaged and dancing the entire time. We couldn't have asked for anything more. A+.

NYC DJ's was a preferred vendor that our venue recommended, and now I know why. While we negotiated the contract details and pricing through Danny (who is awesome by the way), on the day of our wedding, our DJ was Oscar. Oscar rocks. He did everything perfectly from getting all our song selections correct (I was at a wedding once when the DJ played the wrong first dance song - it was super awkward) to the last minute cancellation of the centerpiece giveaway at my request (guests were getting antsy to dance). People were on the dance floor all night. Oscar was also very personable and entertaining, we got lots of compliments on how awesome he was. Also, a cute story - three of my nieces (ages 9, 8, and 4) wanted to do a special dance for us and Oscar was fine with it as long as it was fine with us (of course it was), and he let them pick the song. So he did a great job of making sure outside the norm requests were okay with us and still keeping all the guests happy. If you're in the OC area and need a DJ, look no further. Danny and team are the way to go!

Danny is awesome. My husband and I got married at FCCLA which is a beautiful church and he was one of the recommended DJs. From the first time we met with him to our wedding day, he was always personable, cool, fun and professional. He has a great set-up that seems advanced and he made sure to follow all of our wants and desires for the type of music we wanted. All of our guests loved our reception and loved dancing. He event played a Korean pop song that we requested which was a nice touch. I would highly recommend him for any wedding or event. Kudos to Danny! Danny is truly a gem! We loved him. He's an amazing DJ! Even from our first call we could tell he would be our #1 pick. He really got us and understood our music style right from the start. We felt really comfortable with him throughout the planning process and didn't have any worries that he would do the job well! He was super professional, accessible, and also fun. No one wanted to leave the dance floor, which was exactly what we had hoped for. We had even asked for a few special requests in the days leading up to the wedding and he played them no problem, everything went really smoothly. His timing was great too. Danny is definitely a wedding DJ you can trust with all of your wedding needs! Lastly, we're so glad we got his lighting package too, it was all a blast! So sad it's over but have amazing memories for a lifetime! We highly recommend him!

When planning our wedding, my husband and I both agreed that the most important part for us would be the music and the party. We interviewed more DJs than all of our other vendors combined and I can honestly say that we made the right decision in hiring Danny! Here's what made Danny so amazing: 1. Music Mixing - I've been to a lot of weddings where a DJ puts on a track, waits for it to finish, and then plays the next song. this is not a DJ! Danny was able to mix smooth transitions between songs. He also knew when to cut away early from a less popular song and when to play the whole song based on the crowd. 2. Our First Dance - We asked Danny to cut out a very specific section from our first dance song. Less than an hour later he sent over a shortened version of the song with a seamless edit that only someone who knew every word would have been able to pick up on. 3. Our Music - I've been planning my wedding playlist since I was 14 and gave Danny a list of of 9 hours of music to choose from. He played every must hear song and did a wonderful job selecting a good order for music. Songs that I did not think he would know he was able to mix wonderfully into the setlist. 4. The Vibe - We got both lighting packages from Danny and it set an amazing party vibe in the room. He transitioned from day time elegance to night time party. the room looked amazing and it showed. People danced non stop and many guests came up to us afterwards complimenting Danny. The dancing never stopped! The best compliment came from a relative who was worked weddings for 40 years. He said that Danny was the best DJ he has ever seen.

I cannot rave enough about how awesome Jason at NYC djs was at my wedding. He was professional, attentive, and a lot of fun. He was very accommodating and went out of his way to make sure every part of the wedding went without a hitch. Timing was impeccable and everything was perfect. He assured me that everything would go smoothly and indeed it did. I will always recommend Jason to any of my family and friends for their weddings.

Danny is a fantastic DJ. We wanted music to only set the mood and Danny delivered. He kept the night moving along well, and it definitely helped make the night memorable and fun. DJJ Danny is the best!!! He did such an amazing job MCing and DJing our whole wedding from the ceremony through the end of the night. He always made sure to let people know what was going on throughout the night (photo booth, cake cutting, etc) and did a great job reading the room and tailoring the music to fit the crowd. We met with Danny a few times at different events prior to our wedding and he was always such a pleasure to meet with. A true experienced professional and it shows - Highly recommend!

Danny is amazing! My husband created a few different playlists for moods and Danny did the best job reading the room and playing what needed to be played. Danny kept Dr. Dre's word of "the state where ya never find a dance floor empty". He was easy to work with, coordinate with, and plan with and we were never disappointed. Fantastic Job Danny!

It's our first anniversary, so we pulled out the wedding DVD: We (again) were blown away by the great job Danny Farrell/NYC DJ's did in MCing our big day. Danny managed to weave in humor, sweetness, and fun - Our trivia contest (Danny running through the crowd for answers) was classic! Can't say enough about this personable and talented individual.

We could not have asked for a better DJ for our wedding than Danny. We found him through reviews of our venue which has a tricky audio policy. Danny had DJ'd weddings there before so we trusted he would know how to mind the rules while still giving us what we wanted. Our number one priority was that our guests have fun and Danny made sure that happened. Beyond just playing the types of music we requested, he's a really great DJ - mixing songs and keeping the energy up. We met with him once and from that moment on, felt completely taken care of. Danny and NYC DJs did a wonderful job with not only the music for our ceremony, but the entire audio setup, and most valuable to us, great transitions between segments. Danny kept it light and fun and moving. I will recommend NYC DJ to my friends getting married, because the outcome is great as well as the price (because we all want good value no matter our budget).

Danny is the best! He made it super easy to submit the music we wanted, and didn't want, via his survey. We had a small reception on our wedding day and a large party for our friends a few days later. I had lists for everything and he followed them to a T. I had an extensive "do not play" list and he was not swayed by ANY of my guests who protested. When I had questions he was there to give answers and suggestions. His go-with-the-flow attitude made the whole process a breeze. His positive, upbeat personality brought a fun vibe to both parties. Our guests loved him and the music flowed perfectly into the different parts of the night so nothing seemed disjointed or out of place. We got the light package and photo booth for our large party as well. Everyone loved it and there was no shortage of take home photos for all! The only mistake you can make is to not hiring NYC DJ's Entertainment for your event! DO IT!

We couldn't have asked for a better DJ experience for our wedding!!! We are super into music and a full, partying dance floor was very important to us. Danny not only made that happen - with tons of compliments from the guests about how great not only the music was, but the DJ's ability to read the crowd - but Danny also was such a pro with everything from set up, to gathering our preferred (very specific) music preferences, to handling the ceremony music and any and everything sound and DJ related. Perfection. Book him.

Danny was absolutely incredible! He was able to read the crowd and use that to play the appropriate music. He also worked very well with my bridesmaid who sang a song during the reception. Days after the wedding we still have guests telling us how amazing our DJ was. This was a big decision for my husband and I because your DJ determines the overall flow and mood of the entire wedding. He kept the music and feeling upbeat at the right times but also knew when to slow things down. I couldn’t be happier with Danny! I highly recommend NYC DJ’s.

DJ DANNY..... It is so hard to explain how amazing he is. during the whole wedding planning process, he was great. Always fast to answer my questions about lighting or music styles or what package would fit our wedding best. He is very professional and an amazingly positive and good person. The music at our wedding was off the charts. Everyone was dancing and there were just good vibes all around. I would use DJ Danny for any event that we have in the future and i highly recommend his services. He caters to what you want and to what the guests are feeling as well. DJ Danny is truly the best!

We booked Danny for our wedding reception, and he was awesome to work with. The online forms made it really easy for us to work on our music selections, event info, etc. at our own pace without having to schedule a call, play phone tag, or constantly e-mail back and forth. If we did have any specific questions though, Danny was very helpful in answering them. He was a great MC throughout the reception; he had just the right combination of professionalism, coolness, and energy without any of the stereotypical, cheesy "DJ voice" that we've all heard many times. And when it came time to dance, he put together a great playlist based our selections. Danny was just a genuinely great guy to deal with and really helped our wedding have the vibe we were looking for.

We were very afraid to find a DJ for our wedding, because we know a DJ can make or break the reception vibe. Our friends recommended Danny, and we made an appointment to meet with him. We all instantly hit it off, and felt so comfortable working with him. He did our ceremony and reception-we added the uplighting package and it transformed our hall. He was so good at reading the crowd and making all our guests dance. He also went out of his way to find and download our favorite Yiddish song for the Hora! I would highly recommend Danny!!!

When I started planning my wedding, specifically when I started thinking about the DJ...I immediately thought of Danny Farrell. I had seen Danny DJ a few other events in the past and knew that he would be perfect for my event. Along with being a great DJ, Danny has a great personality so I was confident he would be able to get the crowd moving and participating. We had an Armenian/Mexican wedding and definitely wanted to incorporate both types of music along with the standard. Danny handled this like a pro! Danny was absolutely amazing!! There were multiple times when the dance floor was too packed and people had to dance by their tables. Danny was worth every penny and more. He made a custom mix for the mother son dance! I will always recommend him.

They put a lot of work into the planning process before the big day which is so incredibly important. We went over our favorite songs, genre of music and all the things we didn't want to have at our wedding and Danny & his team delivered and then some. In addition to the music Danny's team provided the lighting and more importantly a kick ass MC that knew how to lead the crowd and dictate the pace of the evening. I can't say enough good things about our DJ, Danny! He was AMAZING. When we started planning our wedding, my husband and I talked about the things that were the most important to us: the music and flowers (me, not him) :) We wanted our wedding to be a huge dance party with all of our friends and family so finding a great DJ was our biggest priority. We got Danny's information from our venue, and he came highly recommended. Danny was great in the planning process as well. He was extremely prompt in responding to emails, and he gave us a detailed online checklist of songs to choose for certain parts of the reception. When we met with Danny, we told him our general ideas for the night and gave him some songs we wanted to have played, but that was pretty much it. We've been to some weddings where the couple basically gave the DJ a playlist: we didn't do that because he's the expert and we wanted him to be creative and have fun with it. We totally trusted him. We told him that we just wanted it to be a huge, fun dance party. Well, let me just say, he did not disappoint! The dance floor was packed the ENTIRE night! His song selection was spot on and he read the crowd and the energy in the room perfectly. I'm still getting compliments on how great our DJ was! In fact, at the beginning of our reception, one of my friends ran up to me and said, "Danny was our DJ at our wedding too!" I went to their wedding and it was ridiculously fun: I was on the dance floor the whole night! If you're looking for an awesome DJ, book Danny! You will be so happy you did!

It was my husband's job to pick the DJ for the wedding and he couldn't have done a better job by choosing DJ Danny at NYC DJ's. The whole process was easy, Danny is extremely personable and a great DJ, and he also had so many additional services that really made his company a one stop shop for our wedding. PRO: 1. Danny has a great personality which helps in keeping you calm throughout the planning process and well as setting a fun environment the day of your wedding. I loved that he was also our MC. He made sure everything went smoothly and wasn't overpowering/wanted all the spot light on him (like other DJ/MC's I've seen at some other weddings) 2. He has a music database online that allows you to hand pick your favorite (or do not play) songs. 3. What was extremely helpful to us was the "top picked" songs other clients of his chose for certain parts of the ceremony/reception. (i.e. garter dance song, father/daughter dance song, processional song). This was a great guide to us the last couple weeks when we were selecting songs for the ceremony and reception. When you look online a lot of the songs are older and we felt not appropriate for the vibe we were going for, Danny's list is much more current and fun. 4. He not only provides the music but can also add so much more to the ambiance of your wedding. We created a custom package with mood lighting, our name in lights, light designs, and he also makes photo montages for your slideshow! We honestly shopped around a lot for these mood lights bc it truly can transform any space but can be costly, his was by far the best deal in the area for the service. He also provided the sound system for our ceremony and music for our cocktail hour as well. 5. Danny was really easy to reach by cell phone/email. We had a wedding planner who is really keen on details, but Danny even noticed a mistake she had made on the wrong recessional song and double checked with us and our wedding planner. This really shows he goes above and beyond. 6. We didn't want a lot of 80's music and wanted to focus on top 40's and then EDM towards the end of the night for our friends who really respond to that type of music. Danny delivered and our friends were really impressed with his knowledge of this genre. 7. Throughout the wedding I could easily go up to him and ask him to change the color of the lights a little bit or to make the music louder just a tad and he would do it right on the spot. 8. Everything went without a hitch. I didn't notice any silence, screeching mic sound checks, or awkward transitions throughout the whole night. He is a professional. CON: 1. Since I'm not planning on ever remarrying, I won't be able to use Dj Danny again at my wedding! Perhaps a vowel renewal? or I'll just refer him to my engaged friends so I can experience his Dj skills again soon :) Thank you so much Danny and your staff on making our special day so memorable and FUN! NYC DJ's are the BEST! My wedding was in May in Westlake Village, CA. There are two things my guests can't stop talking about, DJ Jason and the food! lol. So I'd say my wedding was a success! DJ Jason was so awesome. I was really nervous making a final decision on the wedding DJ because they can make or break a reception. I was beyond pleased with DJ Jason. He's has a great personality and fantastic MC skills . He kept my guests on the dance floor all night and interacted with my guests. My fiancé and I suggested a few songs and music genres. DJ Jason took over and mixed different styles of music the entire night. It was perfect! My reception was so much fun!! If you're looking for the perfect wedding DJ, you have to book DJ Jason. The owner of NYC DJs, Danny is very professional and was only a phone call or email away during the planning process. I would recommend NYC DJs to any bride or anyone who wants to throw and epic party!

At the suggestion of our planner, we met with Danny from NYC DJ's. She told us that we could think about other DJs, but that it would be a mistake not to hire him. Good thing we took her advice! Danny was a pleasure to work with and made the night unforgettable. From our very first meeting with him, we liked his style. He said something to us in that first meeting that made us instantly comfortable. He told us that as the DJ, he's there to play music, keep the party going and only speak as much as is necessary in order to keep the event flowing smoothly. It was music to our ears. We gave Danny a general idea of the kind of music we would like to have played and we left the selection entirely up to him (except for the first dance, the mother/son and the father/daughter dances). THE MUSIC WAS AWESOME! We came in $1,000 under budget on alcohol because everyone was having so much fun dancing that they didn't go to the bar. That's one indication that we had a great DJ. Danny is a total professional, a great guy and our wedding wouldn't have been anywhere near as awesome without him. And his prices were fantastic! Do yourself and your guests a huge favor and HIRE NYC DJ'S FOR YOUR WEDDING! Our wedding was more than 2 months ago and people are still telling us how great the DJ was. Danny -- you rock!

Danny is a SUPER nice guy, very responsive, easygoing and fun to have around. He was absolutely fantastic - not just a good DJ with a spot-on sense of pacing and fun, but a genuinely additive presence whose great attitude made him a joy to be around. Requiring minimal direction, he perfectly captured just the right atmosphere and kept it going until party's end. We received compliments from so many of our guests - in praise of both his playlist (which was great) and his skill at seamless transitions. The photos from the wedding are physical proof of the fun everyone had dancing! ***Danny also did our wedding ceremony music, and hit all of the music cues perfectly - fading in and fading out the preprocessional music to the processional, and timing the recessional song perfectly to start the moment our lips touched! He was also flexible in providing microphones/audio for the bride's a cappella group performance. We also booked our photobooth through Danny/NYC DJs and that was fantastic too. We can't say enough!

Danny was a great dj. He was recommended to us by our wedding venue and we have no regrets. He did a great job at our wedding, keeping people on the dance floor. Absolutely everybody danced, young and old. I saw people that I thought I would never see dancing go nuts on the dance floor. He was simply amazing.
