Pent Makeup and Hair

Pent was AMAZING! From the very beginning, she was very quick to respond to my inquiry and schedule a trial. I booked her about a year in advance, and over that year, I emailed her quite a few times with questions and concerns. She answered every single one of them so quickly and put all of my nerves and worries at ease! On the day of the wedding, she and Lisa arrived at the venue nice and early, and my girls and I were also early, and they were all ready to start! I was really stressed about finishing on time, but I had no reason to be stressed! We were ahead of schedule the entire morning. All of our hair and makeup looked fantastic and held up perfectly during my 90-degree outdoor wedding (and I was sweating!). I can't even come up with enough words to describe how great Pent is, and I will recommend her to anyone looking for hair and makeup!

We had the most amazing experience with Pent makeup for our wedding on May 10th, 2024. They came directly to our hotel to help us get ready, which made the morning so convenient and stress-free. The team did an incredible job with makeup and hair for not only myself (the bride) but also for the mother of the bride, bridesmaids, and even the flower girl. Each person looked absolutely stunning and felt beautiful all day long. The hair and makeup trial session prior to the wedding was exceptional. Pent was highly professional, listened attentively to our preferences, and created looks that perfectly matched our vision for the day. The entire experience was comfortable and enjoyable, which is exactly what you want on your wedding day. I cannot recommend Pent Makeup enough for anyone looking for top-notch bridal beauty services. Pent was incredible! She did my (the bride) and my mom and mother in law's hair AND makeup, and it looked so natural and glowy and stayed all night (even with extensions and a lot of dancing). My hair and makeup turned out 1000000% perfect, even better than the trial. They also stayed put forever, and that's saying something because I have oily skin that always gets shiny and my eyeshadow always creases, but not so with Pent! Everyone else's hair and makeup looked great, too, better than at other weddings I have been in. Pent and her team were already at the venue when we arrived, and they finished ahead of schedule. They even showed us how to use a steamer on the bridesmaid dresses. If you're a Disney fan, you'll love that Pent is a huge Disney fan, too!

I am so, so, SO in love with the outstanding work by Pent and her team for my wedding day! In addition to being incredibly kind, accommodating, and patient, Pent, Aila, and Lisa all went above and beyond to make everyone feel comfortable and beautiful. Not to mention, Pent did wonders with my own hair and makeup; everything stayed in place all day/night, and I was tempted to sleep in my makeup because it still looked so beautiful by the end of the night. Pent is seriously talented, and I highly recommend her to anyone in need of professional hair/makeup services!

Pent first did my hair as a bridesmaid for my friend's wedding and I was so happy with her work that I hired her to do my hair for my own wedding. Pent is so professional and will to go almost anywhere for her clients. I got married in Bolton Landing, NY which is quite a long way from where she's based out of, so when I asked if she could come out to do my hair and she said yes, I was ecstatic! She did such a wonderful job on my hair and really took her time with it. 10/10 would recommend!

My trial with Pent went so smoothly! Then on the big day she was perfectly able to replicate the natural look I was going for with my hair and makeup. I hardly ever wear makeup and I wanted to make sure I was comfortable. She and her assistant did hair and makeup for my bridesmaids, maid of honor, officiant, plus both moms. We had a small hiccup at the spot we were getting ready (we had no power when we started!) but Pent rolled with the punches, made it a fun morning, and somehow we still ended up finishing about 40 minutes ahead of schedule!

Pent was absolutely amazing for my wedding on 4/12/24 - she did my hair and makeup exactly as I envisioned it, and consistently checked in during the process to make sure I was happy with the outcome. We did not do a trial, so all of our 'planning' for my look was simply over email and phone, and she captured perfectly what I was going for. I was particularly concerned with the foundation matching my skin tone as I am very pale and have looked orange before getting my makeup done.. Pent color matched me flawlessly. We also had bridal party members of different races getting their hair and makeup done by Pent and her team and everyone's hair and makeup looked perfectly suited for them! She was professional and detail oriented in the planning process and arrived perfectly on time.. She was also a pleasure to be around, making the day that much less stressful! I would hire Pent again in a heartbeat if I was planning another event.

My experience with Pent for my wedding hair and makeup was fantastic start to finish! Pent and her team were able to achieve beautiful looks for me and my whole bridal party (8 people total) that lasted all day. It was so important to me that I had a soft glam look for my big day; I wanted to look "done-up" but still look like myself, and Pent knocked this out of the park. Pent did my hair and makeup for my daughter's wedding. I was nervous about what I would look like since I am very confident in my own hair and makeup and years ago, did makeup for weddings and customers at a retail store. Pent's talent is exceptional. She is both professional and personable. My hair and makeup was done to absolute perfection. It lasted from 7:00 a.m. until well past midnight without any touch-ups. Pent is incredibly attentive to the client's requests. I am amazed at how well she replicated exactly what I wanted. Pent is AMAZING. From the first email, trial to the day of the wedding, Pent is professional, fun and a perfectionist. She was very open to questions and even gave me some advice leading up to the wedding day of products I could try/buy to help the makeup stay all night. My makeup stayed more than 12 hours by the end of the night. She was also very accommodating when we had to add a few more people for services. Loved her colleague Lisa as well. I’m so happy I chose Pent as my hair and makeup artist for my wedding. She does amazing work but is also such an incredibly kind person who I was lucky to have on my wedding day and in the months leading up to the wedding. For context, I have only had my hair done a few times in my life (hated it every time) and rarely do my makeup. I had no idea what styles to do for my wedding and it was a big source of stress for me! Luckily, a family friend had used Pent for her wedding and highly recommended her. Pent helped me try different styles leading up to the wedding and advised me on what would look good with my hair type. On the day of the wedding she was extremely professional - showed up super early with a ton of equipment and had an amazing energy. She did my hair and makeup, my mom’s makeup, and my bridesmaids’ hair. Every single one was executed to perfection and my mom and bridesmaids could not stop raving about their hair/makeup. Pent also went above and beyond to consult each bridesmaid on how their hair type might work with different styles. All in all I couldn’t have asked for a better HMUA and I would recommend Pent to any bride, especially if you’re looking for an elevated, clean look!!

Pent and her team of stylists were incredible. I had a pretty large bridal party (14 people with HMU overall!), and Pent and co were able to get everyone ready with time to spare. I also had a very diverse bridal party with a large range of skin tones and hair textures, and Pent made sure everyone's needs were met. Pent was super professional and everyone raved about how long the hair and makeup lasted. Communication throughout the process was great. I cannot recommend Pent enough!

Pent did my makeup for my engagement photos, rehearsal dinner, and wedding. On my wedding day we had 14 people getting their hair and makeup done. Pent's team was able to handle our large party on schedule. My bridal party was also diverse (Asian, African American, Caucasian) and Pent's team was able to accommodate everyone's different hair types and skin tones. She's also very reasonably priced for the New York area. Keep in mind that Pent's specialty is natural glam. I highly recommend hiring her and her team for your wedding!

My girls and I had an early morning as there was 8 of us needing hair/MU to be complete by noon but Pent was at no hesitation to accept the task. Pent was the best choice for hair and makeup for my August wedding! I researched multiple hair and makeup artists in the New York area and Pent was the most reasonably priced for the exact style I wanted – natural beauty. I had a great time during my trial at her place in Nyack, where she really listened to what I wanted and patiently tried different styles. She was so helpful and kind in the weeks leading up to my wedding, answering questions from me about looks my mom was interested in for her hair. On the morning of my wedding, Pent was a joy to have with use as we got ready and so professional. My bridesmaids, mom, and I all looked great at our wedding, and everyone felt confident – and to top it all off, the looks lasted all day!

Pent is GREAT! She was so responsive from the beginning and communicative throughout the process. We met for the trial for myself and my mom and MIL on two separate occasions and she was so friendly and helpful! I was looking for an artist that had experience with all skin and hair types and knew how to work with monolids and that was Pent! The day of, she came with another artist, who also did an amazing job, and they made all of us look beautiful and did an amazing job with skin prep so the makeup didn’t look cakey or feel too thick. Pent did a wonderful job with my hair too and it stayed in place! My makeup and hair lasted me all day! She was also open to me using my own foundation and was so open and flexible. Pent was such a pleasure to work with, and my entire bridal party and family was so happy with their hair and makeup--which is not an easy task to accomplish with a group of women. I did a few trials with her because I was torn on completely different looks. (For the record, she nailed them all - from updos to Hollywood waves.) She also did my hair and makeup for my rehearsal dinner. She was always punctual and responsive, and she was such a calming presence on my wedding day. I hired Pent to do my hair and makeup for my rehearsal dinner in Pearl River New York. She also did makeup for my two sisters and my mom for the rehearsal dinner. Pent far exceeded my expectations- she showed up on time, she was professional, and her tools were clean. I do not typically wear makeup, so I told Pent I wanted my makeup to look very natural. Pent listened to me and my makeup looked so light and natural, and I truly felt beautiful! She also did a great job with my hair- I almost exclusively wear my hair down with curls, but, I wanted to try something more special for my rehearsal dinner. I had Pent put my hair in a Pony, something I have never done before, and it was flawless! I felt confident and received many compliments on both my hair and makeup all night. Pent was the best makeup & hair artist I could have asked for! I personally don’t know much about hair or makeup, and was very nervous about having it done. I first did the trial session a few months before the wedding and it went great. Pent was so friendly and lovely - we immediately connected and bonded over shared interests like Disney, Ghibli, travel, and food, and were just casually chatting the whole time which made the session easygoing and relaxing. The wedding day preparation went so smoothly - we even finished early and everyone in the bridal party was so happy with their look! Pent did my hair and makeup for my wedding and I could not have been happier! I was a little nervous for my makeup as I have had my makeup done for past events and just didn’t look or feel like myself, it made me think that all wedding makeup had to be thick to stay on all day and night, but Pent made me feel and look great - my skin was even and glowy but not caked. It stayed on to the wee hours without creasing. She really takes the time to understand what you are looking for and everything came out perfectly. Props to the second HMU artist she brought along with her - Lisa who was also amazing. All my bridesmaids and my mom looked amazing and loved their makeup.

Pent and her team are PHENOMENAL. I’ve never felt more beautiful than on my wedding day. Pent is SO nice, knowledgeable, and personable. While she was super professional, she also felt like a close friend; I felt very comfortable with her! During my trial, my hairstyle turned out amazing and more than what I imagined it to be. It put my mind at ease to know that Pent only needed to replicate her work for my wedding day. We also discussed some minor adjustments to my make-up, which was “pretty” at the trial but was “absolute perfection” at the wedding. Pent knew EXACTLY what my vision was and how to achieve it. My bridal party was also very impressed with Pent and her team. One of my bridesmaids mentioned that not many artists can color-correct her skin tone properly, but HMUA Lisa NAILED it. Pent was the absolute perfect hair and makeup artist for my wedding. I was looking for someone who had experience doing makeup on East Asian features, and not only was Pent very experienced with that, she did a perfect job giving me a natural makeup look. I don’t wear makeup much, so I didn’t want to look back at my wedding pictures and not recognize myself. My pictures look like me, just a little more glammed up than usual, and I’m so grateful to Pent for that. Pent was very sweet and professional in all our interactions. She and her assistant, Lisa, showed up early the day of my wedding to set up and were super efficient in doing everyone’s hair and makeup. It looked great all day. I hired Pent to do hair and makeup for myself, 6 bridesmaids, and my mom for my wedding in March – she did such an amazing job! Before the actual wedding, Pent did 2 trials with me (traveling to my apartment in NYC) to ensure we got the right look. After my first trial, I decided I wanted a different hair style – Pent recommended clip-in hair extensions to achieve the style of up-do I was hoping for, and she was very accommodating in scheduling a second hair trial to try out the other ideas I had in mind. On the morning of the wedding, Pent brought along 2 other artists (one additional hair and one additional makeup artist) to help get through the large group of people (she also traveled to our getting ready location in Brooklyn). Everyone was incredibly friendly and did a great job of making the bridal party look beautiful – we were a pretty diverse group of people with a range of skin colors and hair textures. Additionally, we got done with hair and makeup early (!!) which was extra amazing considering how large of a group we had. Our wedding was filled with many (joyous) tears, and a wild night of dancing and I’m happy to say the hair and makeup lasted through all of it! Beyond her hair and makeup skills, Pent was an absolute joy to have around – she is super friendly and very helpful in giving suggestions for what she thinks would look good! I highly recommend hiring her!

Pent is amazing! She is a complete sweetheart and for all you Disney-minded brides - SHE IS THE ONE FOR YOU! Her studio (where I had my hair and makeup trial) is completely decked out from top to bottom in Disney items! Now onto her actual skill: Pent made me feel effortless, timeless and beautiful with her makeup application. I wanted a natural look and my now-husband said "it doesn't even look like you have makeup on but you look beautiful" which was key! She had three lovely ladies helping her get me and my bridal party (me plus 8 bridesmaids plus 2 moms) ready and she organized everything. Her pricing is beyond reasonable - and frankly the only one in the area that I found that was! 10/10 would recommend and would hire again if I'm ever in need!

Words cannot describe how absolutely fantastic Pent was to work with! She was such a delight to work with which was apparent in our early communication but solidified with the hair and makeup trial; after seeing her work, I knew I wanted her to be my hair stylist/makeup artist. Not only is she extremely talented in both hair and make up, she's also super easy to talk to and will make you feel so comfortable from your trial to the day of your wedding. During multiple pandemic postponements, I ended up being diagnosed with cancer and lost my hair during chemo. Pent took on the challenge of styling a wig with me so that I would feel like my best self on the day of the wedding. She made me and all my girls feel so beautiful. I highly recommend Pent!

I highly recommend using Pent for your wedding hair and makeup! My bridal party and I don’t wear a lot of makeup and wanted a natural look. Pent and her assistant gave us all exactly the look that we wanted and we all felt so beautiful! The morning of the wedding, Pent and her assistant arrived right on time, set up the space quickly, and were organized and efficient throughout the morning. Pent was a complete pleasure to work with. She was so sweet and responsive. She was always early and super professional. She listened to what my vision was and made sure I was happy with the look. It was super relaxing working with her on the day of my wedding and I would definitely recommend her. She also did makeup for my grandma, mom and sister and they all looked stunning!

Pent was not only extremely professional! She was also super nice!! Great company for a nervous bride, laughing and joking while she was meticulously doing my hair! Super experienced, p Very prepared, and well organized. She arrived ahead of time and asked if I wanted to start earlier, which is always great! She was super quick, but the perfection of my hair and makeup was not compromised. My mom also did her hair and make up and was stunning as well. My hair and makeup ended up being better than what I ever expected from the pictures I showed her. She worked with my angles and my natural hair. She was done just in time! Everything was perfection. Pent was so lovely to work with in planning my and I would HIGHLY recommend her to anyone! We unfortunately did not end up having the opportunity to work together on my wedding day since we had to reschedule a few times due to COVID (and Pent was unfortunately booked on our rescheduled date) but she was so responsive, flexible, and helpful when scheduling my bridal trial. She also had a team ready to do hair and makeup for my 8 person bridal party on my wedding day. Pent was super responsive on the phone and had great advice on wedding beauty. If I could I would give even more starts! The hair trial was very detail-oriented as Pent asked me at every stage if I was happy; if my braid was big enough, if there were enough tendrils, if the top was poofy enough, etc. Then, on the day of, she had a team of 3 arrive bright and early in NYC to get a party of 10 women with different skin tones, hair textures, and ages all done on time. Everyone was incredibly happy with their hair and makeup. Plus prices were incredibly reasonable for the amount of professionalism and quality. My hair and makeup did not come apart all night! Pent is also a very sweet and genuine person who wants to make you day as special as possible. I have recommended her to everyone I know, and I also recommend her to anyone planning a wedding needing these services.

I can't express how pleased both my fiancé and I were with Pent's services. She did my hair and makeup for my wedding, and I felt like a Disney princess. It was better than I envisioned. I could not be happier with Pent. I went into my hair and makeup trial having very little clue what I wanted, Pent patiently spent 3+ hours helping me pick the perfect hair and face for my wedding, and she took meticulous notes so she could recreate the exact look on the day. On my wedding day, Pent and her assistant Lisa did hair and makeup for myself, my mother and 6 bridesmaids and still managed to stay ahead of schedule. Everyone looked absolutely beautiful and Pent and Lisa were fun and professional, making the experience really enjoyable.

I was one of the bridesmaids for a wedding. The bride, 2 other bridesmaids and I had Pent do both our makeup and hair. She is a such pleasure to work with. Very friendly and stayed up until the middle of the photo shoot to ensure that everything is okay especially with the bride. Hair - We had communicated over instagram about the styles that I wanted prior to the occasion so during the day of, she just did her thing. She was honest and will tell you if the style is possible or not. I have thin short hair so it is usually hard to work with. She was able to put it up in an updo and made it seem like I had a lot. Make Up - She uses a variety of high end brands. She is also very particular about using different tools to ensure that everything is hygienic. I didn't really have anything in mind with the make up so I let her decide on what to put on me. It looked like she was already prepared and already had something in mind so the whole session didn't take long. It came out looking really nice and the make up stayed for pretty much the entire day and night.

One of my bridesmaids found pent online, And I am so glad that she did. Not only she’s super sweet and welcoming, Pent is also passionate with her work. She knows what she’s doing.
