Philip is an absolute dream of a wedding photographer! His talent for capturing the essence of our special day was unparalleled. We are still in awe of the stunning photos he delivered. Beyond his incredible skill, Philip has an amazing ability to make everyone feel comfortable and relaxed, even the most camera-shy (like me!). Our guests raved about him all wedding day and after. From the first moment we talked to Philip, we knew we found our photographer. Philip is thoughtful, empathetic, and a true professional, and excels at giving couples exactly what they want. We fell in love with his skills at our engagement session and how he was able to capture our love, but were even more impressed with his ability to freeze all those perfect little moments in time on our big day. Every step of the way, Philip was there to reassure us and make it so easy, and even turned around all our wedding photos in just a week! If you’re debating what photographer to go with, pick Philip, you won’t be disappointed!
There are not enough words to describe how spectacular Philip was as our wedding photographer. I was able to book him early and Philip has been in constant communication. Because we were extremely uncomfortable in front of a camera, we wanted someone that we felt comfortable in front of and after interviewing some photographers, I knew Philip was the one. I was so lucky to have come across his Instagram page!
Philip and his second shooter, Nick (who was also spectacular) traveled from Charleston, SC to Richmond, VA to shoot our wedding. They were the most easy-going, friendly, funny and professional guys. We had our rehearsal dinner/welcome party and Philip was willing to shoot photos of everyone with both headshots and family photos. We opted for this instead of engagement photos and Philip was extremely accommodating and was also extremely flexible with scheduling.
On our actual wedding day, I think Philip was the reason we felt comfortable leading to the ceremony if not the entire night. He was able to direct us in how to pose for the photos and had an eye for the camera like no other. Him and his second shooter, Nick already explored our venue beforehand to identify areas for shooting. My husband is even more shy of the camera and he felt very comfortable with Philip's guidance. Philip took many, many photos and this is when I lead to the part where we receive both the sneak peeks and the entire wedding gallery...
WOW. When I say wow, Philip really outdid himself with all of our wedding photos. He not only made us look decent (lol) but was able to capture some of the most amazing moments including our family members, friends, and other attendees. We received some of the highest of compliments on our wedding photos. Not only that, we received compliments of our photographers in general and how friendly and easy-going they were. Philip and Nick worked diligently with smiles on their faces the entirety of the night.
I was a bit worried about not having a videographer for our wedding but when I saw Philip's photos of our wedding, all of the worries went away. We have the most beautiful wedding photos that we will continue to look back on for the rest of our lives. Our families and friends raved about Philip's work.

We had the honor of meeting Philip in 2017 when he photographed my sister's wedding and as soon as we booked our venue, he was the first vendor we reached out to in hopes we could have him at our wedding day too. Philip has a special way of making you feel comfortable and letting your true personality shine through his photos, something that was so important to us both in our engagement shoot and wedding day. Him and his second shooter were with us all throughout the wedding day willing and able to do whatever we needed to get photos in. Rain on your wedding day? No worries with Philip, our photos turned out beautifully and we even had a chance to play in the rain. The shots of the little in between moments of us and our guests are what set Philip apart and truly captured the emotions of the day. When we got our sneak peek we were absolutely thrilled with the shots and knew that we would have a hard time picking favorites because every shot was special. We truly can't thank Philip enough for being there to capture our wedding, the photos allow us to savor our memories of the day in a way we only dreamed possible when he booked him.
Philip was a dream to work with! He is incredibly professional, while also having a fun loving and goofy side that is a breath of fresh air during your wedding day that is filled with many emotions. Philip interacted great with our guests and went above and beyond my expectations with the photos that we received from him after our wedding. He was able to capture every second from our special day and I am so thankful that he was apart of it. If I could go back, I would choose Philip to capture the most important day of our lives - over and over again, without question. When planning our wedding, I spent HOURS upon hours researching photographers, combing through their portfolios, and reading customer reviews. I came across Philip early on in the process and very very quickly started to realize every photographer I found, I compared to him. Whether it was the photography style, the unique & candid shots, or the genuine joy captured in every photo, no one measured up to Philip and the work he produced.
My husband and I didn't have much experience having professional photos taken of us which made us nervous we'd be uncomfortable in front of the camera. Philip agreed to meet up with us when we got into town to talk about the wedding day timeline and plan, and answer any last minute questions we had. He assured us not to worry about anything and made me feel so at ease going into the wedding day.
The day of our wedding he showed up earlier than he was scheduled to arrive. From the moment he started shooting, I never once felt nervous or awkward in front of the camera. Throughout the entire day, Philip and his 2nd shooter directed everyone so well and effortlessly made me feel so beautiful and relaxed!
When we received the 'sneak peek' photos in the days following our wedding, I immediately started a countdown to the day we were scheduled to receive the entire album. It's safe to say the following days (weeks, really!) were spent looking through our photos over and over - I could've never imagined them to look as incredible as they did. He captured some of the most special moments with some of the most important people in our lives so beautifully and naturally.
Philip went above and beyond for us. He was flexible through all of the big changes we made leading up to the wedding, he comforted us when we were nervous, and he even offered to help my wedding planner clean up at the end of the night (something my wedding planner said no photographer has EVER offered in all her years of wedding planning!). He was truly the best and I will never be able to express our gratitude for him and his incredible team! Thank you so much, Philip!

Philip has been a pleasure to work with during the full process. He is so sweet, easy going, accommodating, and captures the moment!!
Prior to the wedding, Philip sent a survey to understand us as a couple and to listen to how we wanted our day captured.
We are not an instagram couple that loves posting couple photos, and we most certainly do not like staged photos, so we communicated to Philip on how important it was to get natural photos of the day + a set list of staged photos of us as married couple and set photos with family.
Philip was able to capture the full list of photos + more, and the best part was how efficient he was with getting all the staged photos completed and how comfortable he made everyone feel in front of the camera.
Philip was able to capture so many amazing photos, especially the natural ones -- from catching the perfect reflections and sunset at Boone Hall, to our raw emotions of seeing each other for the first time walking down the aisle, he was able to capture all of the happiness and joy on our big day.
Our photos are stunning, SO romantic and pretty, and we have received many compliments from friends on how gorgeous the day was captured through Philip's lens!
He has made the full process easy - we were so excited to get the photos back from the day, receiving the photos within a few weeks. My family and myself have ordered beautiful prints from him, and he has even included extras from the order.
We are so happy with the photos and are going to cherish all the photos forever!

Due to the circumstances surrounding Covid, we decided to move forward with a micro-wedding on our same date and postpone the larger celebration for next year. Like thousands of other 2020 brides, I was forced to change my original wedding date. Philip was extremely flexible, sending me his availability. Leading up to the wedding, we created an itinerary together. The day of, Philip was so easygoing and made everyone in the wedding party (including my two daughters who hate taking pictures) at ease. I am absolutely in love with the final photos. Philip's specialty is details. He captured my vision perfectly. And each photo in the album feels intentional, showcasing fun, romance and personality. I would recommend Philip to any bride in a heart beat.

Philip is seriously one of my favorite people on this planet! He's the best photographer in Charleston and probably even the country... or world. I'm not even being sarcastic when I say that - he's THAT good! I loved every second of our time together - from the Facetime chats we would have before the wedding to arranging my beautiful wedding album.
First of all, I'm sure you have seen how incredibly talented he is. His work is truly the best of the best and he will give the most gorgeous photos. My wedding photos are so beautiful that they've actually brought me to tears. I love and cherish them so much.
Then there is Philip as a person. He's just so amazing in every way. He's fun, professional, hilarious, and extremely kind. Even though the wedding is over, I still love talking to Philip whenever I get the chance. How many people consider their wedding photographer a friend after the fact? It's pretty awesome!
One story I'll never forget - On the actual wedding day, my hair and makeup took too long and I was over an hour late getting to my First Look. My anxiety level was at all time high. Then, my dad who was supposed to drive me to the location decided to "go for a drive" and was no where to be found (seriously Dad?!). I thought I was going to break down in tears, but Philip had my back! He cleared out his car and I jumped in and he drove me to the First Look. On the way there, he helped me see the humor in the situation and my anxiety melted away. I went from feeling completely crushed to laughing in just minutes. He just has that effect on people. And trust me - when it's your wedding day, those are the types of people that make all the difference.
It's so true that your wedding photographer is the most important decision you will make about your wedding. Don't hesitate - book Philip now! I'm 100% positive that you will have zero (and I mean ZERO) regrets. I wish I could do it all over again.
WOW. That’s truly the first thing that comes to mind when I think of Philip. It started at our engagement photos, we had the best time of our life. My (now) husband doesn’t love getting his picture taken, but Philip made it fun and made him feel comfortable. Move on to wedding day, Philip arrived early with his assistant photographer, who, mind you, was also amazing. Philip went out of his way to capture all of those special getting ready pictures. Our first look was nothing short of amazing. It was beyond special. Philip drove me to my wedding, let me play the music I wanted to play, and all day, made me feel absolutely beautiful from behind the lens. I am so honored to have had Philip and his team shoot my wedding. He got my wedding photos back to me on Thanksgiving after less than 3 weeks, talk about a turn around time. I haven’t even talked about the picture... incredible. They were everything I had ever dreamed of in my entire life. He captured my husband and I just perfectly. I’m so grateful and would recommend Philip and his amazing team without hesitation any day.
I can’t say enough good things about Philip Casey! I’m obsessed with all my wedding photos and couldn’t be happier with the outcome and attention to detail and amazing quality he produces. Philip has a natural artistic eye and the way he captures light in his pictures is what made me choose him over anyone else for our wedding. He is also so sweet and delightful to work with. When we did our initial interview with photographers, Philip arrived and we talked about life for over 20 minutes before our planner finally said, "Uh guys, you haven't talked about photography yet." My mom and I responded with "That's okay, we've already picked him." We knew we had made the right choice in choosing him for all our events. From our engagement shoot to the rehearsal and of course the wedding, he was both professional and so easy to be around. In fact, everyone got along with Philip so well that he felt that an old friend. We felt this was super important, because you are with your photographer ALL day long. You have to be with someone like Philip who is friendly, down to Earth, and makes you feel comfortable. Our photos are gorgeous! He put so much time and effort into making things just right for us! He captured all the perfect moments and even moments that we would have missed without him. He is truly the best. We can’t wait to work with him again!
Philip and his team did an awesome job. They were fun to work with and kept it lively all day long. The pictures...oh my goodness...the pictures are AMAZING! We love them and have received so many compliments. The quality is wonderful, even the candids that they were able to capture really bring life to those special moments again and again. This is a very delayed review but one year later I'm still marveling how awesome Philip was as our wedding photographer! He's so approachable and open and friendly that it was so easy to feel comfortable around him. He had GREAT communication which made me feel so much more secure and not stressed which is huge. Our pictures were incredible and all of them are our favorites. So Happy we got the chance to work with Philip and highly recommend!
Where do I even begin?! Philip is absolutely AMAZING. From the first moment my husband and I met with him, he made us feel so comfortable. From capturing our engagement photos to our wedding day, he got it all. He does an extremely good job shooting what’s important to you as well as some shots you didn’t even know you needed. I still continue to look at the pictures on a weekly basis because they are just that good. One of my bridesmaids even booked him immediately after seeing our wedding pictures. He is the best and I promise you won’t be disappointed. I would recommend him to anyone and everyone!
We are so glad we hired Philip to photograph our wedding day! He was amazing to work with and the photos absolutely took our breath away. Great photos. Very thorough. Beautiful wedding album but he took a very long time to complete it. His team worked extremely well together on the wedding day. Would definitely recommend.
Philip was absolutely incredible in all aspects. We first met when he did my bridal portrait. His laid-back, relaxed vibe made me feel right at home and much less awkward in front of the camera. On the wedding day, he was fantastic! He captured every single moment we could have wanted. And he was super quick and stealth about it - we never felt like we were spending too much time taking photos. I love his candids - he captured such special moments not only of us, but of all of our loved ones. Because we loved the photos so much, we decided to purchase a wedding album from Philip. Honestly, it was one of the best wedding-related decisions we made. The wedding album is GORGEOUS. Philip put so much time, effort, and professionalism into designing the album just like we wanted. We look at it pretty much every week. If you don't book Philip, you're making a pretty huge mistake.
I found Philip Casey through the Instagram hashtag #CharlestonWeddingPhotographer. So you can imagine how many photos I looked through to find him. Philip met with my (now) husband and me for lunch to show us some of his photobooks, talk through his process, and really get to know us AND let us get to know him and feel out our comfort levels with him. This was all before booking him.
Having Philip photograph our wedding day was a dream come true. He knows what he's doing. He knows how to act and what to say; when the mood is light, to be funny and when the mood is more serious, to let it be serious and be in the background taking pictures. He was everywhere at once. He showed up wedding day with an extra shooter to my surprise! Philip Nick and Chris were AMAZING! They were such a welcome, fun part of our wedding day. The photographer is one of the biggest decisions of a wedding day and I am SO thankful we decided to hire Philip. They felt like part of the crew!
Lastly, his timeliness of sending sneakpeeks and instagram teasers is spot on! With how many weddings I know he has, he delivered the best surprise of a sneakpeek in under a month!
The full wedding gallery took a bit longer, but SO worth the wait. He delivered over 1000 hand edited images. Just follow him on Instagram to see exactly how much time and effort and love he puts into each image! I appreciate him for everything he put into our wedding day and pictures.

Philip photographed our wedding a few short months ago. Prior to our wedding I arranged a short meeting to show him some inspirations I had for our wedding day. We had a great discussion about my style, what was important to both my husband and myself, and some expectations for the day. He was so helpful in configuring how to get the best shots with an intimate first look and great party shots without taking us away from our guests. Philip's second shooter, Nick was also so energetic you would have thought he was a wedding guest! The guys of our bridal party still talk about him! After the wedding Philip sent us some sneak peeks and I almost cried every time. But none of those compared to when our gorgeous keepsake box arrived. Opening it to see so many virtually perfect fine art prints was jaw dropping.
The attention to detail, love, and commitment Philip puts into his work is second to none. I cannot recommend Philip and his work more. Booking him and choosing to have him print our pictures was one of our best wedding decisions. We have the most amazing memories to share with our children and theirs for so many more years. It is truly a gift.

Philip was absolutely amazing! I was looking for a photographer that had magazine-quality style in both the physical product as well as in the way he was trying to tell the story of my husband and myself in our photos. My husband and I are not fans of photoshoots, but Philip did his best (and exceed expectations) to get quality pictures for every step of the wedding. The viewing of pictures, scheduling of sessions, regular communication, day-of coordination, and overall process was a breeze with him! We're more than pleased with how everything came out including the prints we purchased through his website. Phil was one of the greatest decisions we made in our wedding planning. He was quick to respond during the booking process and has easy online payment methods. He arrived promptly with an assistant on wedding day and did a great job capturing the special details with gorgeous photos of my dress, my husband getting ready, our rings, tablescapes and greenery of our venue. Our first look was magical & Phil gently coached us into getting some of the best photos of the day. My family is also quite a handful to deal with and Phil managed to direct and photograph them with kindness. Throughout the ceremony & reception, he was everywhere at once, capturing each moment. He also took solo shots of a lot of guests, which is so wonderful to look back at because wedding day, you don't generally have enough time to talk to each guest for a long period of time. He sent us our "sneak peak" photos in less than a month and turnaround time for the rest of the photos was 3 months. Phil is truly an artist and his photos cannot be compared to some run-of-the-mill wedding photographer. I was so happy with him, his photos and his pricing that I encouraged my sister to hire him for her wedding in March, so now I get to see more of his great work :)

Hi everyone reading! From the moment we met Philip Casey we clicked instantly with his vibe. Our pictures were the most important part of our whole crazy Charleston plantation wedding dream. Philip was the sweetest most funny person out of all of our dedicated vendors that we had chosen, we could not have been more lucky to have had him with us throughout the whole day! Alex Holt who was Philip's partner in crime on our wedding day was equally as funny and easy going, together they made our day so easy and kept us laughing and calm the entire time!
We were a very out of the ordinary couple who decided to have a Friday the 13th wedding with totally different traditions and Philip & Alex were so open and excited about everything, we truly felt like they had a blast at our wedding even though they were working! They captured so many great moments and pictures of all of our guests which was such a plus since people love having pictures of themselves too at other couple's weddings! While going through our pictures we kept choosing so many to blow up and put on our walls, we would not have enough space for the many many options we loved!

From the moment I found Philip's business on the Knot and browsed through his website, I knew there was no need to look further. I booked the engagement photos and he responded promptly. After realizing I needed to push back our initial requested session due to a work conflict, Philip was beyond accommodating. Philip not only arrived early the day of but socialized with my family and scouted out the best spots for pictures until I was done getting ready. Once I met Philip in person, I felt so at ease. He was not only professional but his personality made it SO much easier to feel relaxed yet excited about being photographed. Philip was perfection. His swoon worthy photos were composed beautifully and captured the day as I could only dream (no cheesiness whatsoever). As you are planning your wedding you don't necessarily realize your photographer will be with you ALL DAY. Personality more than matters and Philip was great. He was charming and funny and put up with me when I was over the photo taking! :) He helped move the group shots along and all our guests said he was the most noninvasive photographer they had ever dealt with. But honestly the proof is in the photos, he does spectacular work and will not disappoint.

Philip was absolutely amazing! Not only is he an amazing photographer but he was also flexible with our change of wedding dates! He was quick to respond helping settle all of my prewedding day jitters! Getting our wedding day photos back was just as exciting as waking up for the big day! Philip was amazing - simply put. He was very easy to talk to, and was receptive to all of the special requests that we had throughout the process. The package price was extremely reasonable for the amount of time and the sheer number of pictures we got (all of the digital copies were included!). We absolutely loved working with Philip! He made us feel so comfortable during our engagement photos and everyone commented that they looked like something out of a magazine! We had to change our wedding date at the last minute and he made accommodations to have his right hand man help us out and yet he still showed up after he was done with another wedding!! Extremely talented! Don't look any further. Philip Casey with Studio 1250 is by far the best wedding decision we made. Philip took our engagement and wedding photos, and we absolutely could not have dreamed of more! Our wedding in May 2015 was documented perfectly - everything from the light, the emotions, the fun, the details, and the love. We cannot say enough wonderful comments about Philip. We chose the 12 hour photography package with two photographers and recommend this to all. Philip made sure to take all of the main shots of the day, and the second photographer was great at capturing guests and secondary pictures. Philip is incredibly easy to work with. We provided him the wedding day itinerary, he made a few small recommendations based on his experiences, and made it all work flawlessly. After our wedding, some of our guests and ourselves commented that we did not notice the photographers at all during the reception. The photographers were very unobtrusive. After we received our photos, there were 100s of wonderful candid shots taken during the time at the reception. For our engagement shots, we traveled into town for a long weekend, so had to make the weekend work. The weather was less than ideal with pretty consistent rain falling all day. Philip made us feel extremely comfortable and did not push us into posing for pictures that were not "us." Despite the poor weather, Philip's talent shined through, and the pictures turned out wonderfully. Our engagement photos will be in our home forever as well. Many of our family and friends commented that they could not even tell that it was a dreary day because Philip works wonders with natural light. All of the photographs captured us and our personalities so well. We definitely recommend Studio 1250!
When we were looking for photographers for our wedding, we came across Studio 1250's website and were sold immediately. Philip's pictures are that good. We also appreciated the packages/pricing being listed on the website. Many photographers just had packages listed with pricing when you contact them. That was a big turn off for us!
One of the things we appreciated was that Philip would travel, not only for our wedding, but for our engagement pictures too. He came to Greenville, SC over a year before our wedding to shoot with us downtown. We met him on a gloomy morning but luckily things cleared up, and he was able to get all my "Pinterest" ideas as well as MANY of his own! The pictures turned out perfectly! I didn't think I could love any pictures anymore...
Fast forward to our wedding day June 2015. Philip showed up early to start shooting, making sure he got all the details in the venue and my diy decor. He also took many pictures of us as we got ready for the ceremony and my husband as he waited *patiently* for us to get ready.
One feature I really wanted on our wedding day was an extra photographer so we could have different angles of the ceremony as well as various photo opportunities. Philip did not let us down on this! The photos of my husband as I walked down the aisle are priceless but so are the ones of my dad walking me down the aisle. I wouldn't have wanted to miss either of these moments!

Philip photographed our engagement session and wedding in March 2014. We had met with a few photographers while planning and once we met Philip, we knew that he was the best fit for us. He was very nice and made us feel very relaxed. We had to end up canceling our engagement session at the last minute due to weather. Philip was very accommodating and didn't complain at all. He came back a few weeks later and we were able to finish it. At our wedding, I liked that he wasn't intrusive. I hardly noticed him there, but he took amazing photos! I felt very relaxed with his style. He was always very punctual for our meetings. He was also very prompt with communication, whether by phone or email. Follow up after the wedding was also prompt and professional. He sent us the images in a very cute envelope. Prints that we ordered arrived quickly as well.
Studio 1250 photographed my wedding this past July, and we were extremely pleased with them! During our ceremony and reception they were able to catch some amazing photos without disturbing our guests. They were never pushy and truly seemed to just want to give us what we wanted. Once we got our pictures back, we were amazed by the quality and number of great shots! Even some of our guests have commented on what an incredible job they did!
Philip shot my wedding at the I'on Creek Club in May, and he was absolutely fantastic. Being from out of town, I wasn't able to meet him until the morning of the wedding, but to be honest - it didnt matter. He was very easy to work with, had a good sense of humor with my crazy family, and managed to produce BEAUTIFUL photos (even with the rain all day!). My favorite part about Studio 1250 was their style of shooting. The composition and light are perfect in every photo. And most importantly, he was able to capture the love and happiness that filled our day.
