Tom was great! Our music perfectly captured me and my husband's music preference and the communication and organization was great throughout the entire process.

Tom was so easy and fun to work with! The dance floor was so busy and everyone had an absolute blast. He did an excellent job with the flow of the music and I’ll always remember when Mr Brightside came on and everyone was jumping and screaming like crazy. Excellent DJ and would absolutely recommend him!

Tom Pluister really brought the energy to our wedding! As a COVID wedding we were a little unsure if our guests would feel comfortable dancing and warned Tom that it may be a bit of a relaxed vibe...we were wrong. Our bridal party was on the dance floor all night and our parents and family had a blast. Tom did such a great job of playing a variety of music, hitting on old hits and new chart toppers with everything in between.

Tom came highly recommended to us from our wedding planner in Bayharbor, and he definitely didn’t disappoint! All of our favorite songs were played and he read our crowd perfectly to fill in the rest. Two weeks later and everybody is still talking about how fun the dancing was. I would recommend him 1 million times over

Tom was GREAT! We hired him for both our ceremony and reception and everything was perfect. If you are looking for a DJ in northern Michigan I highly recommend Pluister entertainment. Tom is great at what he does, literally EVERYONE was on the dance floor, including my husband who generally isn’t much of a dancer haha. The music selection was great, and we only had to pick a small number of songs, he takes care of the rest, which takes a ton of stress off of the bride and groom. If choose Pluister entertainment for your DJ, you and your guests are sure to have a great time on the dance floor.

Tom and Lindsay were absolutely incredible to work with! We planned our wedding from a few hours away, and they were both extremely responsive to phone calls and emails along the way. They were thoughtful and caring in the planning process, providing us with fillable documents to share all of the details for our ceremony and reception. Lindsay played all of the songs we wanted to hear and none of the songs we didn't! We were definitely worried about a DJ playing songs that didn't fit our guests or our style, but everyone was dancing and singing along all night. Tom was absolutely amazing! So accommodating and thoughtful. He did everything and anything we asked. I was a little worried as our group is not much of a dancing bunch but the floor was full all night. He also offers a payment plan which was extremely helpful. Do not consider any other DJ vendor in the area Tom is the best!

Tom is the absolute best. I couldn't have imagined how much fun we had dancing to the music he played. He kept the energy of the party going and people were truly dancing all night long... so much so, that even when the party was over, nobody left the dance floor! Everyone wanted to stay! He's an expert and played so many of our favorite songs. He took our list of favorites and incorporated them in, which made for so many special moments. I couldn't recommend him more highly.

Easy communication, and made planning out the ceremony/reception very easy with music. They provided tonnnns of suggestions ( I was a very indecisive bride) for songs. I couldn't decide on the father-daughter dance, and they happily provided me with different songs, and multiple versions of those songs. The DJ kept people dancing! I wish that I had communicated for them to take requests more, but it wasn't a big deal. Some guests felt that the songs they asked for were not played for some time, but I feel that was reasonable. They were just following what I had asked for, and there wasn't much time for everyone's special request. Overall, I was very happy with my choice, and would recommend them to future brides. Especially to those who do not want to spend hours on deciding music and playlists. They really take over the music choices for you (if you ask) and that helped reduce my stress with all the other wedding planning!

Thank you Tom for getting everyone out on the dance floor! I can't tell you how many compliments I received about the music and the party. It was so special to see everyone having such a fun time on the dance floor. The music for a wedding is incredibly important as it sets the mood of the party and Tom did an amazing job with every song choice. Even the Castle Farms staff assigned to our big day who have witnessed millions of weddings mentioned they have never seen a wedding that danced as much as mine did! We used Pluister Entertainment as our DJ at our September 1st Castle Farms wedding and we could not be happier with our decision!! Our DJ was Lindsey and she was so awesome. My (now) husband and I live out of state and we had the challenge of planning our wedding from afar. Pluister Entertainment was really great about communicating during the process. They make it very easy by giving you a questionnaire and allowing you to write down your music selections. At the wedding itself, Lindsey played all of the songs we requested! We had so many guests come up to us and tell us how much they enjoyed the music. Our dance floor was seriously packed right up until the end of the reception! It was amazing to work with Pluister Entertainment, and specifically Lindsey, for our wedding. I would highly recommend!!

Tom Pluister provided ceremony and reception DJ services at our wedding. He could not have been more of a pleasure to work with. Prior to the wedding, he provided many inspiration playlists for the different events during the day and was always very punctual in responding to emails. On the wedding day, he showed up plenty early and was completely set up way before the ceremony began. I had provided him with a playlist for the entire ceremony, and every song was exactly what I had picked! Our wedding was very small with only 36 guests, and the entire dance floor was full throughout the whole reception. He had basically every guest up and dancing — everyone loved his music choices! It was also such a relief that he was completely self sufficient. He knew exactly when to announce the first dances and toasts and we didn’t have to worry about anything all night. I would HIGHLY recommend Pluister Entertainment to anyone looking for DJ services! Thank you, Pluister family, for making our day so special!!!

Tom was awesome and played great music at our reception. My husband is generally very picky and tries to play his own playlist at every party/gathering/event, but even he had to admit that Tom did a great job. Tom even mixed in some Chinese and Korean pop songs at our request. Would definitely recommend Tom as DJ for your events!

We met the Pluister Team at the Stafford's wedding show and they were all so enthusiastic, genuine and kind, we knew they would be our choice. After talking with Tom for an hour on the phone, we were confident he knew exactly what we were looking for, which songs/genres we liked and which ones we did not want to hear too! The day of the wedding, he just made everything happen so seamlessly. He obviously loves what he does and really wants to make his client's wedding day perfect. It was nice that he was obviously familiar with the team at the Perry Hotel, they all communicated and took care of everything so all we had to do was show up and they took care of the rest. Cody was the best DJ we could have booked for our wedding at the Stafford's Bay View Inn! He did an amazing job, had everyone dancing from the very first song of the night, and stuck to the schedule so perfectly that we didn't have to worry about a single thing. Tom and Barbara were so helpful during the planning process, too. They always answered questions so quickly - and I had quite a few! We could not have chosen a better DJ for our wedding! Tom made everything go absolutely seamlessly, and I still have guests telling me how wonderfully timed everything was, but they never felt rushed from one thing to the next--that coordinating was all Tom's. The music was fantastic, we could have certainly gone a few more hours had our venue allowed us to! Everyone LOVED the dance floor--it was packed. The owner Tom was very personable and responsive. He spent roughly 45 minutes on the phone with us to make sure that we were getting the music experience that we wanted. Our DJ Lindsay was exceptional. She was able to adapt on the go as a few things may have been altered with the timeline of the day. Our biggest praise is that she does a great job of playing music and only talking when we asked her to make announcements. She let us and the wedding guests be the center of attention. The music selection was right on par with what we wanted and the dance floor was continuously packed. All of our guests raved about the song selections! We can not say enough good things about Pluister Entertainment! 100% recommend without a doubt!

Pluister Entertainment was a perfect choice for our wedding. Tom completely understood our taste in music and delivered in a way that managed to get everyone on the dance floor. Tom played all of our favorite songs, plus songs we forgot were our favorites. Our guests, young and old alike, commented over and over about how great our DJ was. From my first phone call with Tom, I knew that I had chosen the best man for the job. I had very particular requests, including a mashup of music for our father-daughter dance, as well as traditional Middle Eastern music for dancing at our reception. Tom didn't even bat an eye and made me completely confident just over the phone that everything would go exactly as I had dreamed it would. He truly delivered on our wedding day, when our dance floor stayed full: ALL NIGHT. We had so many people telling us how much fun they had out there, listening to Michael Jackson, Bruno Mars, Justin Bieber, even the Electric Slide. Although, I have to say that I think Tom could make any genre fun, he just wants his clients to be happy! It was such a pleasure working with him and we recommend him highly for any DJ services you may need.

Tom is awesome!!!! We met with him first about 10 months before our wedding and he was very friendly and professional!! He was very responsive all the way up until our big day and was a great MC for our wedding!! Great DJ and all around great guy :) Highly recommend!!

Cody was an awesome DJ. The whole team at Pluister was amazing. We booked them before meeting them and were so happy with how everything turned out. They set up everything for our beach ceremony and for our tented reception. All of our introductions were perfect and we gave them a list of suggestions that we wanted to be played and Cody made sure that they were played. Cody also kept the dancing going for the night and even called our Grandma on the dance floor which was amazing! So a wonderful DJ!

Tom was our DJ for our wedding in Petoskey. He did a phenomenal job. He was very professional and very fun at the same time.He had great timing, he knows the process well. He had people on the dance floor the whole time. Not only did he do his job well but very easy to work with and a delight to meet! If you need a DJ he is your guy!!

If I could give Tom more stars I would. He was my sisters DJ so that is primarily why I picked him but I was so impressed. He was good with communication, met to ask what kind of music we liked, was very flexible and the day of was amazing. I received so many compliments on how good of a job he did. My husband and I feel so lucky to have had Tom and Lindsay DJ our wedding. Pluister Entertainment is TOP-NOTCH. We had many special requirements, the most important to us being great sound quality for our live entertainment, and Tom has such expertise in that area. Everything sounded absolutely incredible. The sound for our ceremony was absolutely superb-- we were outside under a covering during, at times, pouring rain. Our guests heard every word of our vows and readings. Lindsay's choice of music throughout the evening was exactly what we wanted, and what we'd discussed in our meetings with them prior to our wedding. Both Tom and Lindsay are so much fun to talk to. They're knowledgable and kind, and they were willing to work with whatever special requests we threw at them. They're very creative and experienced. One of our favorite things about Lindsay was her demeanor when announcing things on the microphone. She's very upbeat and uplifting, and never gets "barky" or "shouty" like we've experienced with DJs at events throughout our lives. She's fun and energetic while maintaining a tone that reflects the importance and elegance of a wedding! We whole-heartedly recommend Pluister Entertainment to anyone-- they're versatile and experienced and we're confident they'll surpass anyone's expectations, regardless of individual style and tastes.

Amazing! My wedding wouldn't have been what it was without Tom and TR. They met with my husband and I a few weeks before the wedding to make sure they knew exactly what we wanted. I couldn't recommend Pluister enough. Lindsay was our DJ, and she killed it. I probably had more input then most people to the playlist and flow. I wanted to have a not cheesy, funky mixed generation dance party that morphed into an electronic music festival vibe. Lindsay met with us a few weeks before the wedding, and she was totally into the vision. At the reception she was a pro MC and then threw down an epic dance party keeping the dance floor full for four hours straight. I'm pretty sure she had as much fun as we did... Sound equipment and lights were top notch. Pluister blew away any other wedding DJ I've seen. Our dance party will be tough to beat!

Tom and Lindsay were the best to work with! I interviewed 3-4 other companies but no one compared to speaking with Tom. His passion is so evident, and he put us at such ease. They made sure the ceremony music was timed perfectly, and Lindsey kept the party going during the reception. Everyone had so much fun dancing!! They are the only DJ company I would recommend and work with in the future.

Thomas Pluister was a fantastic DJ for our wedding reception. We actually had a unique situation and Thomas is also in my Uncle's band, Loudmouth Soup, so we had a DJ/Band combo at our wedding reception. Thomas was great to work with for song selections, recommendations, timeline, planning, etc. He was quick to answer my questions and when I was unsure, he would make recommendations as well. The evening went perfectly, and he played some great music options during cocktail hour and during band set breaks. There was no lull in the entertainment, and I would highly recommend Pluister Entertainment (as well as Loudmouth Soup!).

We couldn't have asked for a better experience. Tom Pluister was so organized, helpful and patient during our wedding planning process. He sent us so many resources and was very quick to respond to emails. We met with him in person and he was delightful and so knowledgeable. His daughter Lindsay and assistant Sam, DJed the actual wedding and they were perfect! Lindsay came to our rehearsal and was so helpful and attentive to detail. The wedding day came around and they they didn't miss a beat - they played all of the best music. I've never seen a dance floor fill up so quickly! The night couldn't have been more perfect. After the wedding Lindsay and Sam even sent me a thank you card thanking us for letting them be part of our day. They are just really great people and very good at what they do. I highly recommend them.

I am over the moon with my wedding. It was the most perfect day, and I owe so much of that to my DJs. Thomas Pluister was my main contact throughout my wedding planning process. I am from Chicago, but my then fiance and I had our hearts set on having a Traverse City wedding. The distance was a concern but was never a problem when working with Thomas: he is incredibly professional and responsive. All of my e-mails were returned promptly and with great detail. I was not knowledgeable about how to plan a wedding, and I'm not well versed in music. This was not a problem, either. Thomas was a wealth of knowledge. He was so well prepared for any concern I had regarding my wedding. He had suggestions for speeches and songs. He was able to organize a schedule for my big day, which helped to put my mind at ease. I didn't have a wedding planner, but that didn't matter because I had so much help from Thomas. My family and friends could not speak more highly of of DJ services. He met for breakfast, when we were in town to discuss our plans for the day. He was at the rehearsal just so he could make sure he would have all the timings right for the different music. His daughter, Lindsay, was there the day of, and she was there to help everyone keep their places and make sure my entrance into my ceremony was flawless. This business is an absolute gem. They were recommended by our photographer, and we could not thank her enough. This company truly goes above and beyond. They were worth every penny of their REASONABLY priced services. When you book this company, you are not just getting a guy who knows how to play iTunes through a big speaker. You are getting a family who is committed to a craft and to you. My husband and I are so grateful for all of Thomas' and his family's help. We'd book them again in a heartbeat.

The music was PERFECT for everything from my walk down the aisle to the very last song. They allowed us to customize how long songs were played, mixed together and kept the party moving. Sam did a great job with the ceremony music and the reception. He and Thomas worked with us to figure out the music for the ceremony and it didn't take much for them to figure out our style and what music would get our guests going at the reception. We had to do all of our communication remotely since we live 8 hours away from the venue and they made it easy and painless. I would definitely recommend Sam and Tom. My guests are still raving about the party and the music and DJ clearly played a huge role.

Tom was awesome! He worked with us throughout the whole process. He took our music selections and added in more based on our taste. He took the time to get to know us prior to the event. Working with Tom, I felt confident going into the day that I did not have to worry about the music, announcements or entire flow of our reception. Tom is the best wedding DJ I have ever seen (and I've been to a lot of weddings!), and I'm so lucky to have had him be mine! He is so helpful, kind, happy to work with strange requests (he helped find the song from Zelda we used for our recessional - my husbands dream - and converted it into a usable version, for example), and truly knows his stuff. He became a key part of helping us plan the details of our wedding and made the reception so much fun! I would definitely recommend him!

I hired Tom for my August wedding at the Perry Hotel. From the very start I knew it was a smart decision! He is very organized, professional, and friendly. We met twice before the wedding to work the details and he took notes and asked lots of questions. The night of the wedding was perfect. He had no trouble setting everything up, and even went above and beyond to get a cordless microphone to hook up to the Perry's PA system for our toasts (at the Perry it’s normally difficult to use a cordless due to the way it’s set up I guess)- so that worked out nicely! Tom’s daughter was also there to help him out. They knew how to read the crowd on and keep guests on the dance floor. Everyone kept saying how much fun they had and how the music was such a great mix! I couldn't be happier with how it turned out. I have even been referring my friends to use him for their weddings!

I would highly recommend Tom Pluister and his amazing family to DJ your event. He went ABOVE and BEYOND anything I could expect from a DJ. He was professional and very helpful during the planning process. Since my husband and I were not from the area, he was someone who we were able to trust in helping with our ceremony running smoothly. We had our wedding ceremony on Little Traverse Bay at Bayfront Park, and our reception in the Stafford's Perry Rose Garden Veranda. He did the sound for both, which he help coordinate the sound for a guitarist and the officiant. With his utmost professionalism he stayed true to our wishes. He made the end of the night such a memorable moment for my husband, myself and our guests. He gave us closure on a day I'd been dreaming up for a long time. To get all that from a DJ, I would never have imagined. I'd highly recommend him and his staff to any bride looking for a DJ.
