My husband and I were lucky enough to host our wedding at Pocono Organics in 2021. We had just moved to the Poconos from Philadelphia and discovered the market at Pocono Organics. ...The menu reminded us of the foodie city we had left behind. As we dove into wedding planning, we knew we wanted to use Pocono Organics for the catering. The chef, Lindsay, had won our hearts and we couldn’t imagine our big day without her lamb chop lollipops. While her background as a chef is impressive, Lindsay is also an incredibly kind and passionate person. She was such a joy to work with from day one. After some of our venue ideas did not pan out, the idea hit us to not only use Pocono Organics for the catering, but to host our big day there. We started to envision a dreamy ceremony and candlelit dinner inside of their large greenhouses. We were thrilled when they said yes and we are still honored to have been the very first wedding hosted at their facility. However, you would not have known it was their first. They had hosted other events and we were even lucky enough to attend a CBD dinner a few months prior to the big day and see the space in action. We knew we had made the right choice. Ginny worked with us along the way to piece together every detail and went above and beyond to bring our vision to life. They even have a hotel next door, The Village at Pocono, (same owners) that was PERFECT for our guests since most people were traveling. Our guests were able to walk over and the rooms were clean and simple. It was such a dream to be able to work with one venue on the food, the event, and the hotel stay. We used a local rental company for furnishings and decor, but it didn’t take much since the greenhouses let in natural light and the greenery served as a perfect backdrop. We did the ceremony in front of one of the open greenhouses and had our guests gather around for an intimate ceremony. We ended up with around 80 guests total and there was more than enough space for everyone to spread out. Ginny accommodated last minute changes and gracefully made adjustments without complaint. We held a cocktail hour with delicious appetizers (so many that our guests were pleasantly surprised to find out we still had a dinner to come). We had set up an adjacent green house for a sit down dinner and it was a stunning reveal when the door lifted. The simple tables glowed with the light of tapered candles and the setting sun. Our guests were given three entree options (which they ordered at the event, not ahead of time) and everyone raved over the meal. We finished with delicate desserts and espresso martinis. We couldn’t have imagined anything more perfect. Our guests made their way back to the hotel and since we had most of the hotel reserved and the rooms were motel style (with the doors on the outside) we were able to hang out outside for a while with our friends before retiring for the night. And we still had more to look forward to the next day when we returned to Pocono Organics for brunch and wished our guests farewell. They prepared another phenomenal meal that they served buffet style in the same room we had held the sit down dinner. It was the perfect way to end our dream wedding. Our guests still talk about how amazing and unique our wedding was and we have to give credit to Pocono Organics. If we could do it all over again, we would! We love that we can visit any time and have lunch at the market. We highly recommend them as a wedding venue.
