Aimee with Bridals by Aimee recommended Tina with Queens Alterations to me to help tailor my wedding dress and boy am I glad I decided to spend a little extra to have Tina work her magic and make my wedding dress absolutely stunning! I really wanted to make sure that my dress was 100% perfect and had asked Tina if should would drive to Bridals by Aimee for all of my bridal alteration appointments as I really wanted the owner of Bridals by Aimee, Aimee, be a part of the alteration decisions. Tina didn't even hesitate when I asked and she drove from Sandy Springs to Chamblee for all of my alterations. Tina is so detailed in her work that when I got my dress back it was absolutely perfect! 100% would recommend Queens Alterations to any of my family and friends.
I know how nerve-racking it can be to trust a new seamstress with an important garment. My wedding dress was from Kleinfeld's and I was so nervous to drop it off with a seamstress I had never worked with before. Someone recommended Queen's Alterations to me, and from one conversation with Tina I knew that she was going to work magic! She is truly a professional, not only is she extremely nice and easy to work with, she also does a FANTASTIC job and knows exactly what she is doing! My dress fit like a glove on the day of my wedding and I felt so beautiful. Tina did a great job of listening to me when I described the alterations I wanted her to make, and she also did a great job of pointing out potential areas for improvement that I didn't even notice. I cannot recommend this business enough!
Tina and her crew did a beautiful job with my wedding dress. Communication was a little spotty and I did have to come back a few times for them to make additional adjustments. However, the end result was beautiful. I got so many compliments on my dress, especially the bustle! Thanks, Tina!
Awesome job doing the alterations on my daughters wedding dress from Kleinfeld's Bridal.
My wedding dress was a princess-styled dress with a HUGE skirt and intricate beading details here and there. I thought it was the perfect dress for me, but after I saw Mrs. Markle's wedding dress, I had different ideas on what I wanted my gown to look like. Instead of buying another dress, I went to Queen's Alteration and showed Tina a couple of pictures for inspo. She basically cut off the sides of the skirt and made it fit onto my body. I also asked her if she could custom make a bolero for my ceremony in the chapel. I went to my second fitting, and the alterations looked so amazing!!! She pinned some last touchups, and I'll be ready to pick it up at my final fitting. I recommend going to Tina's for your wedding alterations. If you have any ideas on what you'd like to change on your gown, then show her some pictures, and she will work her magic. I'm so glad I went to her shop because I didn't have to go buy a different gown and saved some money.
These ladies are my heroes! I had my final fitting the other day before my wedding this weekend and my dress is absolutely perfect now. They were able to make alterations that another seamstress told me were impossible. I truly cannot recommend Queen's Alteration enough!
I came all the way from Long Beach Cali to get my gown altered by Queens! Tina said that she usually needs at least a month to tailor a gown, but she advised me to come 2 weeks before my wedding. Hearing that made me very anxious, but it ended up working extremely well. Although I had to pay $250 more because it was rushed work, I think the $250 was much better than buying airline tickets for multiple trips! I stayed in a hotel for a few days while Tina worked on my gown, and when I came to try it on, my gown was so fitting and perfect. She also steamed and prepared the gown for me to travel back on the plane. I'm so happy with the results and would recommend Queen's to all the brides needing alterations.
OMG, Tina is hilarious.. She is incredible! she only marks everything using her eyes and skills. No markers, no rulers.. I took my fiance's tuxedo and my sister's maid of honor dress, as well as entire wedding party dresses to her. Very friendly and fair in pricing too. Great and ontime!
I got my wedding gown altered here, and the results were amazing! The owner, Tina, made the whole process so easy and less stressful for me. She knew exactly what to fix on my gown, the prices were reasonable.
For my gown, I wanted to change my mother's dress she wore when she got married, so there was a lot of work to be done to make the dress look a bit more modern. Tina said she was very experienced in changing the style of any dress, and the work came out beautifully! She was also very mindful and gave me back the extra fabric if I needed to do a color match for wedding decor.
I definitely recommend Queen's Alteration to everyone. My experience with them was wonderful, and I will surely start bringing my other clothing to Queen's. Tina's work is flawless, and she alters every type of clothing, not just wedding gowns.
I found Queen's Alteration after getting my dress back from the alternations department at the shop where I originally purchased my dress. The original place was supposed to take up the straps, taken in the dress, and add a bustle, so that I could bustle my train for the reception. Needless to say, I was extremely unhappy with the quality of the alterations. I googled alterations shops and found reviews on Queen's and saw that Bridals by Lori (from say yes to the dress) recommends this place to many of their brides. I called and they were able to get me in within a week. As others have said Tina has a great eye for alterations and she redid the bustle from the original shop and completed all the other alterations to my satisfaction. Because of what she did, I fell in love with my dress again!
At first I was really suspicious about getting my wedding dress altered, but Queen's Alteration was recommended to me. I went to their shop, and they handled everything. Tina, the owner, has a great eye for alterations, so she knew exactly what to fix. I also had bridal portraits as well, so I needed my dress a bit earlier than normal. Tina was super flexible, and I was able to take my dress home on the date I wanted. I recommend any brides, bridesmaids, or grooms to go to Queen's Alterations. Their work is worth every penny!
We planned our courthouse wedding on relatively short notice. Tina, the owner of Queen’s alterations, fit me in to their schedule and got the alterations done to my dress in a about a week and a half. Tina handled all my fittings. She was very personable and, after many years in the business, has a great eye for alterations. She knew just exactly where to take the dress in and up a little to make it fit perfectly. The next time I need something altered, I’m going back to Queen’s! Tina and her staff are great!
I'm so happy that I made the right decision to go to Queen's Alteration to get my gown altered. I live in Florida, but going to Queen's was worth the 7 hours of driving. It was so heartwarming when Tina, the owner, told me that she would do everything in her power to get my wedding dress complete on time. I changed my dress so that it would have a plunging neckline, and I also wanted the dress to have a side slit as well. Super shocked to hear that she could do all that for me in a couple of days. I definitely would recommend Queen's to anyone, brides, bridesmaids, and even grooms because Tina is the best!
I brought my daughter here to get her wedding gown majorly altered after the bridal shop ordered the wrong size. The dress was so tight that it wouldn't even go past my daughters hip. We were devastated until we asked Bridals by Lori, a popular bridal shop that appears on the show, "Say Yes to the Dress," where to go, and they highly recommended we visit Queens Alteration. When we arrived, I saw numerous other gowns from Bridals by Lori and LaRaines Bridal Boutique, so I trusted Queens with my daughters gown. Queens offers great hospitality like offering drinks and snacks during your fitting. Tina, the owner, took great care of the dress and made sure my daughter agreed with the alterations we were about to make. I have no clue how, but Tina and her seamstresses added a whopping 8 inches of fabric into the gown so it could fit my daughter. I couldn't even tell where the added fabric was! I have a younger daughter in Highschool, so if she plans on getting married later on, I'll definitely be taking her to Queens for alterations as well. I 100% recommend this place. They offer great service and have the best results all at an affordable price.
Picked up my dress today from Queens Alterations after leaving it there for repairs to the seam and to a tear. There was a very young girl behind the counter who I assume was the daughter of one of the owners. I gave her my receipt and she pulled my dress out (still in the black bag I brought it in) and handed it to me and told me to have a good day. No one offered to open it up to view the repairs. There was another gentleman in the lobby talking to another woman about travels. I assumed if either of them worked there he would have assisted me. So I hung the dress up and then pulled it out myself to view the work. The seams were repaired fine - as expected since it was such a simple repair. The tear was not. An appliqué was to be applied over the tear to match the ones in the upper part of the dress and then another appliqué was to be put on the opposite side to be even. The appliqué was not as we discussed. Different size and shade. And the 2 appliqués were not even. As I was inspecting the dress still no one offered to assist me. The man still was talking about travel with this other woman. So I tried to just bag the dress back up best I could. During this the man started giggling a little at my efforts and then offered to help me. Who knows if he actually worked there. I left in disgust. Very surprised at this lack of concern with a wedding dress. Very disappointed in the service performed. Now I know why they require payment up front.
Queens alterations is seriously fantastic! They were able to alter my dress in seven hours, one week before my wedding! They were amazing to work with and I had no doubts that they would make my dress perfect! I drove four hours just for them and it was worth every minute! Thank you ladies of Queens for making this bride to be stress free and beautiful!
My niece wanted to wear her mother's dress for her upcoming wedding. There were 2 major problems--my sister & brother-in-law got married in November 32 years ago and my niece was having an afternoon outdoor wedding in July so the long satin sleeves had to go. Also, there were some body shape differences in the two ladies that would require some creative alterations. When my sister began contacting alteration shops, no one would even discuss such major re-working of the dress. My sister called Bridals by Lori and asked if they did outside alterations. They recommended Queen's Alterations as the shop they used for any major reworking of gowns purchased in their store. We went 3 weeks ago for her first fitting after the alterations were done--it was incredible! The ladies at the shop had done a fantastic job and the dress looked like it had been purchased to fit my niece. There were a couple of minor adjustments that the ladies at the shop insisted needed to be made. We went back last week and the dress fit perfectly. Can't wait to see everyone's reaction when she walks down the aisle this summer!
I live in Jacksonville,Florida and I purchased my wedding gown, but it needed some altering. I wanted to make sure that I have top-notch tailors and seamstresses to handle my dress with care, so my mother and I searched online and found a decent place, but the downside of it was that it was located all the way in Atlanta, Georgia. I traveled up there with my mom to Queen's Alterations to alter my gown. When I came there, I was so surprised to see all the other wedding gowns that were from By Lori, a popular wedding gown store. The service there was great and the prices were reasonable. I was so happy with the outcome of my dress and I recommend this store to other people in need of tailoring. In case you want to know, their number is 404-845-0408.
