We got married at Rancho Las Lomas in December 2023 and I am so glad that we chose this venue. It is naturally stunning and when booked, you automatically get access to the entire ...
space to utilize as you'd like (don't have to worry about other groups on property!). The team was very easy to work with and although we had to make last minute rain changes, the venue was able to accommodate everything that we needed for a beautiful result. I can't imagine getting married anywhere else. I would do it all again if I could!
I have few words to describe how incredible this team was to work with. RLL and 24carrots absolutely exemplifies professionalism, perfection, and capability. They were easily acces...
sible, answered all of our questions in a thorough and timely way, were flexible with all our quirky requests, and were just another level of remarkable on the big day. Each and every person working for RLL was kind, receptive, and helpful. They made us feel like everything was easily taken care of and the result speaks for itself. Every guest in attendance could not stop raving about the staff and venue. We could not have had a more special day. Shout out to Morgan M for being an absolute ROCKSTAR for helping us sort out our vision for 15months. Will never be able to fully express our gratitude. Thank you!
Rancho Las Lomas was the one and only venue we toured and fell in love immediately. We had our ceremony at La Terraza (the staircase) which was absolutely perfect. Our ceremony b...
egan at 5pm in June and the weather, venue and ceremony itself was so beautiful. All night we received compliments on how unique and pretty the venue was and we were so happy the entire time. The employees were super responsive, helpful and kind. The service was amazing during out ceremony and the bartenders were excellent as well. The day was absolutely perfect and I couldn't recommend this venue enough.
I am writing this as a warning to all couples considering any 24 Carrots venues. I recently got married at Rancho Las Lomas and, although the venue is beautiful and the food was gr...
eat, 24 carrots has got to be the most deceptive and downright awful company in the wedding industry. PLEASE do yourself a favor and double check EVERY single version of any contract with pricing info in it that they send you. 24 Carrots will repeatedly try to increase prices or add in hidden charges without any notice or explanation. We repeatedly had to fight them on these kind of deceptive pricing practices during the last couple months of our wedding and to say it was stressful and absolutely awful is an understatement. They act like they are the best in the business in client service, but it is the exact opposite. Couples should expect to be able to trust the people they work with in the wedding industry and how can you trust a company that is constantly lying to you about what you agreed to pay? I am a lawyer and have defended multiple companies for engaging in unfair and deceptive practices, but I’ve honestly never had a client who was engaging in the misconduct like 24 Carrots does. Be warned - the venues and food are great, but 24 Carrots provides the worst client service imaginable and will engage in illegal pricing practices.
What's not to love about this heavenly venue! Hidden in the semi-dry hills of Silverado, lies a a beautiful, lush, garden, with trees casting shade on the paved yards, a fountain-p...
ool, multiple charming cottages, and lots and lots of beautiful flowers. We had our wedding here in August 2021, and there wasn't a single guest who didn't comment on how dreamy the venue was.
Now onto business:
The venue fee is pretty standard. But if you select this venue, you have to work with '24 Carrots', which is an event catering company that takes care of all the set up (chairs, tables, linen, etc) as well as catering. The nice thing is that they have many options (including ethnic food), and their staff are well-trained and professional. We worked with Kimberlyn and her team, and overall had a good experience. The downside is that they are very very pricey (think nickel and dime for everything, and thousands of dollars in "administrative fees"). In the end, we ended up going way over budget despite cutting out a lot of things.
The only thing that we weren't happy with was the Wedding Planning vendor that we selected from their "recommended" list, which was a disaster and the sole vendor we had problems with (you can read our review for them on Yelp if you wish). Hoping that they reconsider recommending this vendor to other couples in the future.
Everything else was pretty perfect, and we couldn't have selected a more beautiful venue for our wedding! (and let me tell you, we must've looked at 25+ venues both in SoCal and NorCal) :)
No joke, from the very second we walked in to RLL, we KNEW this was the venue we wanted to get married at. My fiance (now husband) did not have much to say when it came to venue in...
put. We looked at locations in LA, OC, central CA, and he kept saying "whatever you want." However, when we visited RLL, it was the only location his eyes lit up. Obviously, I was ecstatic about the venue, but when I saw how equally excited he was, I knew this is where we had to have our wedding. Unfortunately, 2020 caused us to postpone our date three times, but Sarah (venue manager) and the 24 carrots team did whatever they could to work with new dates during such a hectic time. This location is already stunning on it's own! You do not need much extra flair to make it beautiful as the landscaping is already lush in greenery, florals, and architecture to keep your guests eyes occupied for hours. This helped as we did not splurge on extra furniture rentals and kept florist arrangements to the necessities vs anything extravagant. The venue is ran by 24 Carrots catering, so you know you are already in good hands when it comes to food and drink. Although some may not like that you can only go with this catering option, we much rather preferred having these experts run the day as they know the venue and the food and drink were amazing. We all know that it is hard to say that about wedding food and long lines at wedding bars. This was not the case at our wedding. Appetizers, entrees, and the bar (we hired additional bartenders on purpose) were delicious, fast, and accommodating. Thank you to RLL, Sarah and the entire 24 Carrots team for making our wedding the best night of our lives!
Rancho Las Lomas saved the day! We were fortunate enough to secure our original wedding date just 4 weeks prior after having our original venue cancel. We are so thankful for the 2...
4Carrots/Rancho team for rallying and getting our tasting, venue walkthroughs, million emails and requests done so quickly and gracefully! The evening was so special and we are so happy with our choice to book Rancho Las Lomas for our wedding.
A beautiful, beautiful venue with a ton of space. I am so happy we had our wedding here - it's a place we'll never forget. It is a classy venue with a Spanish / Tropical twist. ...
It makes for amazing photos! Though it feels remote, it's actually not far from Orange County which makes it accessible for guests traveling in.
The 24 Carrots team offers A+ & QUALITY service. Though the venue is on the pricier side, you get what you pay for. The service was next level and PROFESSIONAL. Cannot ask for more!
Just be prepared that a lot of expenses are add-ons (glassware, heaters, etc.). Other than that, I could not be happier working with this venue! They were so accommodating with all of our requests.

l! The nature and architecture surrounding the property is stunning! We utilized all three spaces, La Terraza for the ceremony, the Grand Salon Terrace for cocktail hour, and El Teatro for the reception. Each location is beautiful in its own way! Your guests will be in awe of its beauty! It’s honestly so charming! We had the most phenomenal time there for our wedding! Definitely has that WOW factor!!
We loved this venue as soon as we visited, and we're glad we chose it for our wedding. Everyone is very professional, 24 Carrots is great. We had a night ceremony, and everyone com...

al day. The venue speaks for itself and is absolutely breathtaking. I cannot say enough about how amazing Rancho Los Lomas is! Thank you for everything!
Beautiful venue- matched our 11/05 (subtle themed Day of The Dead ) wedding perfectly. A very romantic feeling place - the plants, animals and architecture.
Had the animal encoun...
ter with Lily and the birds- would recommend it - our guests loved it.
There are other people at the venue while the beer garden area is open, but everyone seemed to be in a festive (and respectful) mood- we were cheered by the crowd as we passed to go to the tiger cage and for photos-
The market lights really give the space a great warm glow and the Teatro was beautiful, just warm enough to have shawls not heaters.
All of our guests were charmed by Rancho Las Lomas- on the expensive side, but worth the beauty of the venue and the memory for your wedding and guests.
Our planner did most of the communication with Rancho (see Perfect the Event) so we had a very good experience with the management.
Thank You Rancho Las Lomas for making our wedding memorable for our guests and such a lovely experience for me and my bride!
Let me just preface that the venue itself is PHENOMENAL! It's absolutely beautiful and guests keep raving about how enchanting the venue was. The space is amazing, the animals are ...
wonderful to be around, and the details are spectacular.
So then, why the 2 star review?
The staff that works there are really unprofessional, inefficient, and unhelpful. We worked mainly with Kara.
1. The staff initially held a date for us, and then let us know a couple of weeks later that they had actually were giving that spot to another couple so we needed to choose a different date.
2. They didn't tell us anything about valet except that we needed to use their valet company and that valet would be complimentary for our guests. Yes, there was one small line in our lengthy contract that asks us to contact valet services. However, how were we supposed to know that there was to be a fee if they never once mentioned it or even told us verbally to make sure to contact valet services. 6 days before our wedding, we got an email from the valet company saying we owed $1100.
3. Since they only offer Thurs., Fri. morning, or Sat. morning for a rehearsal run through, we had to choose the day of/Sat. morning run through to accommodate the everyone's schedule, especially those flying in from out of town. The venue had told me that we had the venue from 9 AM to 12 AM. As we were trying to have our run through, one of the staff members led a group tour DIRECTLY into our venue area. WE had to walk around the group and wait. The guests of the group tour were obviously very sorry since they were literally led right into the middle of the aisle and they tried to scoot to the side. However, the staff member stood literally right in the middle of the aisle, so we had to wait till they left...Which then pushed all of the bridesmaids hair & makeup back 45 minutes. My husband went to speak to Kara who said that there was nothing she could (or would) do about it since guests were allowed to tour the venue till noon. Again... we understand to a certain extent, but couldn't they have had some decency to wait for our rehearsal to finish or... at least stand off to the side and not literally smack in the middle of our aisle.
4. The venue told us we would have access to the venue and though there was a small event going on in a closed off area, our guests would have the venue to ourselves. After our ceremony, during our cocktail hour, my husband, photographer, videographer and I were taking pictures. The guests from the other event started coming into our cocktail hour area, taking pictures, and I even heard that they ate our hors d'oeuvres. I asked the 24 carrot staff to please help us with that and THAT staff was amazing.
5. Our sweetheart table was swarming with bees, so Brian and I weren't able to sit. Finally, we just asked the staff to take away our food since the bees appeared to be attracted to that. Once they did, the number of bees subsided, but at the cost of us not being able to enjoy our meal. I later heard that people from the wedding from the night before were stung by the bees! The venue didn't bother to tell us nor did we see or hear of efforts to try to get rid of the bees on our wedding day.
The caterer company 24 carrots was AMAZING, the staff was extremely on top of it, and the food went above and beyond any wedding we've ever been to. The venue itself is so gorgeous. It's just a shame that the venue's staff tainted our experience.
Finding the right venue for our (basically) destination wedding was crucial. We toured every venue through the eyes of our guests and RLL blew us away. There was so much to see and...
take part in as a guest. The luscious grounds are breath-taking and there's so many areas for people to find a little paradise. It's impressive from the first steps through the wood gates. The staff was amazing and answered all of our questions thoroughly. They were able to assist us from far away so that we knew exactly what our day would be like. The opportunities are endless at this venue and I wish we still lived in California so we could enjoy everything they offer. You will not regret hosting any event here!
Rancho Las Lomas was the PREFECT place for our wedding! We wanted to be wed somewhere outdoors with beautiful scenery that was set apart from everything. Rancho Las Lomas was perfe...
ct because it was secluded and surrounded by nature and wildlife. Everywhere you looked was a gorgeous backdrop just asking to be in a picture. The Portuguese/Greek/early California Spanish style architecture gave the ranch a vintage look but added that extra flare, which was appropriate especially because I was marrying a Spaniard! We also had my fiancé's family and our friends flying in from Spain, so I really wanted them to experience a beautiful American wedding. To my delight, every guest I've talked to since my wedding has complimented the ranch immensely! A lot have told me it was the most beautiful wedding they'd every been to. It had such an intimate feel as opposed to getting married at a hotel or venue where random people are walking by in flip flops and taking pictures.
I loved spending the night with my bridesmaids the night before and not having to worry about waking up early and driving there. Getting ready in the bride's cottage was great because there was ample space for makeup, hairstyling tools, and our dresses. While we were getting ready my fiancé and his brother met the owners' son who they said was very welcoming and friendly. Later on, it was fun to peek through the window and watch some of the guests arrive! I will never forget the sheer happiness I had as my dad walked me across that lovely bridge and down the isle.
During cocktail hour, the guests were thoroughly entertained by the animals, while the ceremony area was transformed for the reception. The sun set, and everything was better than I had imagined it would be. With the chandeliers hanging and the candles flickering, the setting was terribly romantic as we enjoyed the warm summer night. After 10 we headed up to the rustic ballroom and danced the night away. Our only complaint is that we special ordered Brugal rum and Johnny Walker Red Label (what the Spaniards love to drink), but they had other choices instead. After the guests left, my husband and I were able to walk around a bit, relax, and just enjoy the beauty of the venue before heading back to our cottage. It was a night we'll always cherish and look back on with joy. We even have a brick with our names and the wedding date (same date as the owners!) engraved right in the entrance! It was a pleasure to work with everyone there, especially Julie and Kara who took good care of us. :-)
We had our wedding there this month and it was spectacular! We received many compliments on just how beautiful the venue is. Surprisingly enough we found the venue through a frien...
d who had attended a wedding there. RLL is not listed as one of the first venues that come up when you search in most wedding websites but honestly it does not need the advertisement.
The place is just gorgeous! Lots of tress and wild life. It was super humid on our wedding day but nevertheless everyone enjoyed it. The venue makes for great pictures. The hubby and I stayed at the small cottage after the wedding and it was the best decision! Our friends and family also stayed at the other two cottages and they were also spectacular. Very well furnished and with all the amenities a regular house will have plus great views.
We had the lion feeding and all the guest enjoyed it! It was a great attraction and the guest got to see how huge the place is.
The venue rental was not bad what makes the price a little steep is the fact that you have to rent all the tables and chairs and you have to go through there cater, 24 carrot. Both vendors were great with us and professional. We received top qualify service!
They even had a golf cart transport my grandmother from place to place since she is in a wheel chair and that was an great gesture!
I can't say enough about RLL, in our view it was the best venue we could have had for our wedding in OC!
the place is just incredible. every one of our guests said "how did you find this place? it's amazing!" definitely a place to remember.

his venue has to offer I knew it would be one of a kind. Its a little pricey but if you can afford it, definitely check it out!
I had my wedding here, and it was awesome. I wanted a venue with a lush outdoor reception, and this venue provided just that (it has an indoor option too for those who prefer indoo...
rs). In the beginning I called and emailed Kara a lot, and she promptly answered all my questions. Later Julie took over, though overall I didn't really have questions for her because I had a coordinator who took care of pretty much everything for me. I'm very happy with the vendors recommended on Rancho Las Lomas's website, and their website itself gave me some good ideas for wedding planning (some cool blogs of other brides at Rancho Las Lomas online as well). There are so many great spots to take photographs, which is great because photography is very important to me. I had a lot of compliments from my guests, two of them telling me that it's one of the best weddings they've been to. A few of them even said that it made them want to own a ranch with random exotic animals as well. It can get pretty pricey because all the detail costs add up (lights, tables, etc.), but in my and my husband's opinion it's worth it and you get what you pay for. I highly recommend Rancho Las Lomas for any future brides looking for a beautiful place to marry.
I'll just share my dad's initial comment "If we could give Rancho Las Lomas 10 stars, we'd give them 11!"
This venue is without a doubt one of the most beautiful places to have...
a wedding. It is a little gem in Orange County - the second I walked on the premises, I knew this was where we were going to have our wedding!
Julie and Kara are very responsive and easy to work with - they were always very flexible to accommodate our requests. Mike and Joe on the bartending side are equally awesome! It is an expensive venue - the site fee alone may turn people away, but I can say it was well worth it. The people I work with (primarily 50 years of age or more and male) were stunned, talking about the wedding for 10 days straight!
Yes, you do have to use 24 Carrots, and yet it is also pricey, but it is the BEST wedding food I have ever had, and we even did a buffet! Our guests were raving about the food!
The foliage and flowers and everything about the landscaping was already so gorgeous, my florist was able to spend more of the budget on design aspects then flowers to decorate each area.
My husband and I would not change a thing about our wedding day, thank you to the staff at Rancho Las Lomas for making our dream wedding a reality!
This venue is spectacular. Every person that attended our wedding said it was the best wedding they had ever been to. They loved everything - the trees, the Spanish-style decor, th...
e animals, the private nature of the venue. We had a November wedding and with most of the reception outside. The heaters were enough to keep people warm. The only drawback to the venue is the cost - don't just figure in the cost of the venue, also consider the cost of hiring a wedding coordinator (which you will need for this venue), valet, lighting (thousands extra), all the spaces that need to be decorated by the florist, and the cost of catering when 24 Carrots is the only vendor you can use (no competition for your business). We negotiated with 24 Carrots before we booked the venue, and that seemed to be a good approach. But the wedding was still a lot more expensive than we expected it to be, and a lot of that is because we started to say "we've come this far with a high-caliber venue, we can't be cheap on the X, Y, Z". It seemed to help us to plan our wedding in the off season, all vendors, including RLL were more willing to negotiate in the off season.
We had our wedding at Rancho Las Lomas in Orange County. This is an absolute beautiful location that includes a botanical garden and small zoo. Don't let the Zoo portion of it thr...
ow you off... We wanted to incorporate our hispanic/Latin culture into our festivities so this was the perfect location to bring that element to our event. This was an Hacienda that now is used for private events. it has both indoor and outdoor locations, and the best part of it is that when you rent it, you have full access to the whole property for just your event. Guests can wander through the premises to visit the llamas, zebras, and even a white tiger. it is surrounded by trees, an old barn, a pool with a fountain in the middle, and some other eclectic touches like a red,London phone booth. It is amazing for pictures. The most complimnets we got the night of our wedding was on the venue. Most people asked, "How did you find this place?" And that is because it is tucked away within a canyon about 8 miles inland from the main freeway. The venue makes you feel you are in a far away place. This was a definite find for us. Best of all, you can get a great deal if you plan your wedding during the week as opposed to a weekend. One of the few places that will also allow an outside vendor to cater your event if it is held M-F. This is a must see, very quaint, eclectice, old world, modern-charm type a location.
Rancho las Lomas is beautiful. I had my wedding there a month ago, and I had a ton of people say how amazed they were with the venue. You've probably heard all the good stuff. I'll...
give you the stuff that was a little disappointing.
It's a zoo, so sometimes it smells like animals. Especially if it's hot out. The bathrooms are a little older so they kinda smell like poor plumbing. RLL is adjacent to El Toro Road, and a very short distance from the world-renowned biker-bar Cook's Corner. There is a lot of street noise. Loud motorcycles, big trucks, annoying rice rockets, etc. Be prepared to be interrupted by that. The venue is split into two main levels. If you have your ceremony at one location, and your cocktail hour or reception at the other location, elderly and disabled guests will have a very hard time getting from one to the other. There are no elevators, lots of stairs, and the only stair-free route is quite a long walk. There are no golf carts, so you have to hike all over to take photos. You have to use their caterer, 24 Carrots, who make great food, but charge you an arm and a leg for it. The little cottage on site that they let couples spend the night in doesn't have curtains. So you have to wait till the entire crew is done loading out the reception tables before you can really enjoy your wedding night. Unless you like an audience, then you'll be just fine. :)
This venue is amazing!!! I got married in late July and the place looked amazing--the greenery was beautiful and it provided lots of shade to keep all of my guests cool. The venu...

Rancho was AMAZING! My day was beautiful, the ceremony was incredible, the reception area was breath taking. It was everything and more that I could have wanted.

rried. It's beauty and personality were beyond compare. And the day I got married at Rancho, I thought to myself, "I'm getting married in paradise!"
Great Location, Romantic & Beautiful! It's like being in another country or a destination wedding. Guest Loved it!!!

of Rancho, and I knew the guests would enjoy it as well. There are tigers and parrots and zebras, and plenty of places to take beautiful pictures. It's definitely pricey, but worth it! I worked with Kara, and she was very responsive and easy to work with.
The venue is so beautiful that it needs little else to make it a special day!
I already knew how beautiful this location is as soon as I stepped on property for the first time, over a year before the wedding. What I love about this venue is that it is a pri...
vate property. There are no hotel guests or strangers anywhere on site. The day of the wedding, the venue was breathtaking. My guests were floored!
What a setting! This is a place none of my guests will forget.
This place is magical. My fiance and I looked at many different locations but none of them really took our breath away. However, when we came here we knew right away that we had to...
find a way to get married here. The qualities we really liked about this place were: there is only one wedding per day, meaning you get the place to yourself; there is so much natural beauty so you don't need a lot of flowers; there is a small zoo on the property, so the kids in the party can be entertained (maybe even the grown-ups); and for me, the ceremony area was perfect. There were some small things that we were not overly happy with. The person who you deal with when setting up your wedding was not a very nice person. Now, I understand that wedding locations deal with lots of brides and grooms, but with the price of this place I would have hoped for someone who at least pretended like we were having a special day. The other thing that kind of rubbed me the wrong way was that a few months after we signed the contract, the location decided to charge everyone for a generator and they forced us to do the same. My feeling is that we should have been exempt from this because we already signed a contract but, it was not worth the argument. I just felt like it was a little tricky because they didn't even tell me, I just found the extra charge on the catering bill (they make you use a specific caterer). This is the only reason I did not give them the full star rating.
I absolutely loved Rancho Las Lomas. They were very accommodating with what I wanted and helped us out with everything. The location was breath taking and I couldn't have asked f...
or a better reception. The flowers all looked gorgeous and all of the lights were beautiful. I didn't get married on a Saturday because it was too price and I had to use their preferred caterer so I did a Thursday. It was perfect!!
We were absolutely thrilled with our wedding at Rancho Las Lomas on June 12, 2010. After a venue catastrophe with our original venue just 4 months before our wedding, I contacted R...
ancho Las Lomas and Nili (their sales manager) took control of the situation right away! Luckily, our wedding date had become available and within a few days we had booked with Rancho Las Lomas and all the details were covered! 24 Carrots catering was FANTASTIC. They handled the food, bar, linens, everything - and did it perfectly. I never heard "sorry, we can't do that" or "I don't know what you want me to do" when we had questions, requests or concerns in the weeks before the wedding. They went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect for our wedding. Even down to our event captain, Heather, folding our napkins herself to insure that they were a perfect fit for our menu cards.
Rancho Las Lomas and 24 Carrots lived up to every expectation I had....even surpassing most of them! We got so many comments about how professional the catering staff was at the wedding, how beautifully presented and yummy the appetizers, late night snacks, and entrees were (no cold food at a wedding of 180 people!), how quick the staff responded to the guests, and just generally how fabulous our wedding was! I would without a doubt recommend Rancho Las Lomas and 24 Carrots to any couple who wants their wedding to be a fun, classy, gorgeous, relaxing and amazing experience. I'm not a perfectionist in my everyday life, but for my wedding I morphed into one. With Rancho Las Lomas and 24 Carrots at the wheel, we were relaxed and able to enjoy our day! It was still a blur, as I hear most wedding days are, but all of our guests said it was the most beautiful wedding they'd ever attended. I would, without hesitation, recommend Rancho Las Lomas to anyone considering using them for their wedding!
