The building that became the Kansas Aviation Museum was the official Wichita Municipal Airport from 1935 to 1954. Now, this historic museum educates and entertains the public, as well as providing numerous event spaces for special occasions. You may select from a variety of outdoor and indoor sites for your proceedings. The ramp area with lawn and front porch can make a marvelous ceremony setting for you to exchange your vows. A unique touch is available with “On A Plane”, with both a FedEx 727 and a KC-135 ready to host guests. Inside the facility, the Atrium offers a spacious area for dining and dancing. Alternatively, the Third Floor Mezzanine and the Conference Room make excellent settings for more intimate gatherings. Kansas Aviation Museum offers venue rental for weddings in a range of packages, all customizable to fit your needs. All event packages include three hours of same-day decorating time, staff on duty, table and chair setup and teardown, and trash removal during and after. Additionally, the dedicated venue rental coordinator will assist you in planning your wedding day, with layout design and vendor coordination. For the course of your event, you and your guests will have access to the full museum. This includes viewings of display planes and the use of a children’s room.
