We hired Instant Photo Chicago extremely late, but they were miraculously available and were so great and easy to work with! We did not have room for a traditional photo booth, and this ended up being a way more interactive and unique alternate that so many of our guests loved and were talking about all night! Mark made the process leading up to our wedding seamless, and our photographer, Carmen, was fabulous! Plus, as the name suggests, we got these photos instantly, so they were some of the first pictures we were able to share with loved ones who weren't able to attend. I would highly recommend!
Cannot recommend Instant Photo Chicago enough. This was honestly one of the most talked-about parts of our wedding. We wanted something different than a typical photo booth, and couldn't be happier with our decision!
Mark came in during cocktail hour and our guests were OBSESSED with the instant photos. He made sure everyone got a picture, and he gave us extras at the end of the night which we loved.
We keep going through the album and finding new favorite moments. It felt really special. Thanks again Mark for squeezing us in so last minute!!

Mark Hawk is the founder of Instant Photo Chicago, a wedding experience built around his deep love of instant film and real-time storytelling.
He holds a BFA in Photography from Columbia College Chicago, where he developed a fine art approach to image-making rooted in narrative, memory, and tangible process. His connection to instant photography goes far beyond trend — he curated and produced an exhibition centered entirely around instant film, exploring its permanence, nostalgia, and emotional weight in a digital world.
For Mark, instant photography isn’t a novelty add-on. It’s a living art form. His work blends a fine art eye with the energy of a live event, offering Chicago couples a modern alternative to the traditional photobooth!
