arty to get ready, a ceremony space, a bar for cocktail hour, and a space for the reception all in one connected building. It is necessary to know before booking this venue that they have an exclusive contract with their catering company (who we also enjoyed working with) so no outside food is allowed on the grounds. Set-up packages are an additional cost and access to the facility for a rehearsal or prior to 8AM on the day of the event is also an additional cost. They were transparent with pricing, and we found the venue to be worth every penny we paid! The spaces are stunning, well kept, and the staff answered every question along the way. We greatly appreciated their flexibility with us as both my spouse and I are from out-of-state. Every guest complimented the facilities!

During the summer they have Bonfire Wednesdays in which you have the opportunity to listen to live music, eat pizza, and show loved ones the venue. er not finding anything that matched what we wanted closer to home. As soon as we parked at the venue, I looked at my now-husband, and said "we're getting married here". We also took advantage of some of the wood-fired Wednesdays to help with visually planning where we wanted decor to go. That's where we worked with Nikki and got all of our questions answered. When we did our final walk through with Jill, she made sure everything was documented for the day to a T so everyone was on the same page. When gotI got to the venue, my MOH and I met with Maddy, our event coordinator for the day, and she was present and available for anything we needed last minute in regards to setup and executing the plan we had made. The day went amazing! We only got a bit behind but that was mostly due to me and my husband wanting to get more pictures in. ed for our friends in their flat facility rental fee that included SO MANY extras. The venue is stunning and private, there were so many spaces that could be utilized for every element of the wedding. Knowing all of this before showing up on the day of the event still didn't prepare us for the incredible experience we had. The ceremony was intimate and emotional on the ridge covered by massive oak trees, the dinner inside the historic barn was served professionally, the food was delicious and it was fresh, the bar service was excellent and the couples signature cocktail was so good. As part of the bridal party we got to hang out in the basement speakeasy which felt exclusive and was a great place to take a few moments to ourselves during the day. And then we ended the night dancing away underneath the stars in the courtyard and snacking on delicious woodfired pizzas. I don't think we've had such a beautiful, fun and relaxed experience at a wedding and that is largely due to how easy Rolling Ridge made the day with all their onsite services and inclusions. We highly recommend!

through all the details and was readily available to answer questions as we did some mock decor setups. Day of, Custom Catering staff was at our disposal. They were very efficient in their set up so we could take care of our decor and final touches. Our day of coordinator was very helpful, in particular taking care of some tasks we didn't have time for (turning on lantern candles while we enjoyed happy hour!). What I loved most was the expanse of this property for our guests to enjoy. It was a beautiful day so we were able to enjoy every inch of the place - indoor and out. The catering staff and bartenders were on top of everything ... very professional and wonderful with our guests. One last thing - I had used a crochet hook to secure the buttons on my daughter’s dress and it didn't make it back from wedding. It was from my mother in law who is deceased so it had some sentimental value. I called Nikki two weeks after the wedding to see if it had been found. It had not. A few hours later, I had gotten a message that they did a deep dive into the couch cushions in the bridal suite and found it! I appreciated the extra effort:)

The day of coordinator appeared to be a very new young girl who didn’t seem very experienced. And you have to do a rehearsal the same day or pay an arm and a leg if your wedding is on a Saturday. Apparently the kids meals were so over cooked the kids couldn’t eat them, the veggies were definitely not what we had seen and tasted with the caterer. At least there is a playground for the kids and they let us haul in our own arch and get married in between the oak trees. I was very disappointment with the customer service and felt pulled around by all the extra charges I didn’t realize we would need. Like insurance and lunch packages.

Cocktail hour was in the bar area and outside seating adjoining, complete with Adirondack chairs and bonfires.

for a July wedding day. We loved the onsite bridal suite for getting ready in the morning, but because we couldn't have access to the venue until 8am, we did have to start hair at the hotel. The guys getting ready space (rooster's roost) was not adequately climate controlled with a wall mounted AC unit, so they found space in the central part of the venue to hang out which led to a few close calls where the bride and groom almost ran into each other. Rolling Ridge staff were helpful making sure all of the details were addressed in the final walkthrough and answering last minute questions via email to help the day go smoothly.
There are additional fees outside of the base rental price, which is already quite high compared to other venues in the area that we toured. These fees include optional rental of an additional space downstairs (which would be an excellent area for the guys to get ready in a climate controlled space), set up of tables and chairs for dinner in the barn, and event insurance purchased by the couple. While they are transparent about these costs, it seems as though the high rental fee should cover more of an "all-inclusive" experience where the couple doesn't have to worry about coordinating and paying for these extra options. By working with Rolling Ridge, you are locked into working with Custom Catering by Short Stop for all food & beverage needs throughout the day (including breakfast and lunch if onsite for those times of the day). There were times where miscommunication occurred between venue staff, our Custom Catering event coordinator, and our Custom Catering day of coordinator which took time to resolve.
Overall, we received many compliments about the beauty of the venue and loved the indoor and outdoor spaces available for pictures and celebrating throughout the night. However, considering the price we paid, we wish customer service would have been more personalized. We didn't know who our point of contact for the venue was until our final walkthrough 3 weeks before the wedding. We felt as if we were just another wedding in their books and it took away from the feeling that they viewed our day as a special and one-of-a-kind event like we did.

We planned to have our ceremony outside but the weather had other ideas and we had to make a day-of change, which was easy and painless because of the indoor ceremony space options and flexibility of Rolling Ridge staff. Later in the day, the rain cleared and we were able to enjoy the courtyard during cocktail hour. When it was time for the dance, rain was threatening again and we set up the dance indoors. Having all of these beautiful spaces made it easy for us to work with the weather without ruining our day or causing extra stress. And it turned out perfectly despite the changes. We would definitely recommend Rolling Ridge for anyone hoping to get married in central Minnesota!

was the place for us. Both Brooke and Randy were very patient and helpful in the planning process and made us feel comfortable on our wedding day. We really appreciated the upfront pricing and "non hidden fees" that Rolling Ridge had. If you have looked at other venues you know there can be a lot of hidden fees and we feel that RR was very up front with what was included in the price. Everything went off without a hitch. We were glad to have the option of an indoor plan B in place, as even in May the weather turned for the worse but we had fast turnaround for a beautiful indoor ceremony.
The only comment for improvement we would note is that the Rooster's Roost could really use a space heater so you don't have to bring your own when it's cold out.

Our day of coordinator Lyndsey had such a positive attitude and was super sweet, helpful, and available throughout the entire day to assist with any needs that came up!
