SaltWater Fields Wedding & Event Barn in South Thomaston, ME, is Maine's only destination barn on the ocean. That means here, newlyweds won't have to choose between a barn and the sea; they can have both. This stunning venue offers couples a unique blend of a rustic and luxurious seaside atmosphere with overnight accommodations included. Just over three miles from Rockland, this eight-acre oceanfront property boasts ample ceremony and reception space and remarkable photography opportunities.
Owners Tina and Jimmy Hendricks are a married duo who searched for a seaside barn to renew their vows. After not finding a venue that suits their wishes, they elected to build it and now offer other couples a romantic site to exchange vows and begin their magical adventure into marriage. SaltWater Fields Wedding & Event Barn is an all-season venue with controlled temperatures for convenient comfort all year round. With space for up to 200 guests, couples can have the wedding of their dreams surrounded by their friends and family.
Couples can use two spacious wedding suites as get-ready rooms, providing a private space for preparations and touch-ups throughout the day. The picturesque surroundings offer a choice of ceremony sites, allowing newlyweds to exchange vows indoors or outdoors. The barn provides a stunning space for a sit-down meal and dancing far into the night. Antique furniture and sparkling glass chandeliers add to the romance and magic of the atmosphere. Newlyweds can avail of a selection of rental services for their event, including tables, chairs, benches, stemware, silverware, antique props, linens, and more. Couples and a number of their attendees can also avail of various on-site accommodation options, including a guest house and seasonal Glamping tents that each sleep 10 people.

Event management and the ocean run deep in my veins. For most of my adult life, I've been a coordinator and manager of events of all kinds. No matter what the event, the primary needs are the same, making the transition to weddings in 2020 a breeze. I'm here to help with all of your wedding needs, along with a family of staff equally as motivated as I am to make your dreams come true.
I was born in Bar Harbor, Maine. The Acadia National Park and Mount Desert Island were my playgrounds. I'm eager to share my love for the ocean with you. I'm a former Mrs. Maine America, 2011, public health speaker, emcee, director of multiple successful road races(The Spooky 5k & It’s 5 O’clock Somewhere 5k), princess tea parties, and effectively managed a large dental practice in Falmouth for nearly ten years. I spent many years as an ambassador for Habitat for Humanity, March of Dimes, and drug addiction management support programs with my not-for-profit endeavor, Lipgloss4Lives. My current passions include creating the Event Barn of your dreams, writing fiction & non-fiction novels & poetry, and spending time with my family and bulldog.
