SaltWater Fields Wedding & Event Barn in South Thomaston, ME, is Maine's only oceanfront destination barn. That means here, newlyweds won't have to choose between a barn and the sea; they can have both. This stunning venue offers couples a unique blend of rustic and luxurious seaside atmosphere, complete with overnight accommodations. Just over three miles from Rockland, this eight-acre oceanfront property offers ample ceremony and reception space, as well as remarkable photography opportunities.
We offer fantastic packages that include everything you need to host your event—even overnight accommodations for 23. There are no extra fees to use all our amenities, props, tables, chairs, and special features like our retro-RV photo booth and outdoor secondary bar. Our business motto is a stress-free planning experience for you, and no rentals.
Our two and three-day packages are the most popular. They include the cleanup service, overnight accommodations, and our excellent staff. Arrive at 8 am on your first day and depart at 11 am the morning after your last.

Our venue, built in 2022, spans 8 acres of oceanfront land and remains open year-round. The sun sets over our little piece of the sea, offering exquisite photo opportunities and wowing guests. Our barn is insulated, heated, and has cooled get-ready suites. It has cathedral ceilings with thirty chandeliers, three giant antique fixtures, and nine others in the main hall alone. We offer two stunning wedding suites, each featuring a private bathroom, spacious guest bathrooms, and a fully equipped catering kitchen.

Owners Tina and Jimmy Hendricks are a married duo who searched for a seaside barn to renew their vows. After failing to find a venue that suited their wishes, they decided to build one and now offer other couples a romantic site to exchange vows and begin their magical journey into marriage. SaltWater Fields Wedding & Event Barn is an all-season venue with controlled temperatures for convenient comfort all year round. With space for up to 200 guests, couples can have the wedding of their dreams surrounded by their friends and family.

Owner/President
Event management and the ocean run deep in my veins. For most of my adult life, I've been a coordinator and manager of events of all kinds. No matter what the event, the primary needs are the same, making the transition to weddings in 2020 a breeze. I'm here to help with all of your wedding needs, along with a family of staff equally as motivated as I am to make your dreams come true.
I was born in Bar Harbor, Maine. The Acadia National Park and Mount Desert Island were my playgrounds. I'm eager to share my love for the ocean with you. I'm a former Mrs. Maine America, 2011, public health speaker, emcee, director of multiple successful road races(The Spooky 5k & It’s 5 O’clock Somewhere 5k), princess tea parties, and effectively managed a large dental practice in Falmouth for nearly ten years. I spent many years as an ambassador for Habitat for Humanity, March of Dimes, and drug addiction management support programs with my not-for-profit endeavor, Lipgloss4Lives. My current passions include creating the Event Barn of your dreams, writing fiction & non-fiction novels & poetry, and spending time with my family and bulldog.
