'm so glad she did! Chris was easy to talk to! He was friendly, professional and made us feel comfortable. They didn't push any extra ticket items or agendas which was huge bc we went with a basic package and yet they treated us with utmost respect and courtesy. The day of, Kevin, was awesome! He did exactly what I asked him, which was just get the party started and keep it going! He did just that!! He was so good and he was very easy to talk to when I had requests. We had a tricky crowd with a mix of generations and song requests in 2 additional languages other than English. Despite that, he handled it perfectly, reading the crowd and perfectly matching and setting the mood. I'm so glad we had him as our DJ. If you want a seamless experience, I highly recommend Schaffer Sound and asking for Michael Rose to be your DJ.

What stood out to us the most was how Scott was able to take our song requests and taste in music and skillfully adapt to the mood of the crowd. The reception was an absolute blast and the dancefloor stayed packed until the end because Scott's timing and song selection was on point. We even skipped dessert so that we didn't have to leave the dancefloor! We had the absolute time of our lives and can't thank Scott and Schaffer Sounds enough for an unforgettable celebration and memories that we will cherish forever.

ve never seen a dance floor so packed the entire night at a wedding full of all age groups. Dave was absolutely incredible. He was professional, friendly, reliable, and very talented. He knew exactly the songs the crowd wanted without even being asked. Dave even took some videos of our night including the last song where everyone circled around us and sent them to me the next day. While the price we paid to have them as our DJ for the night was extremely reasonable, I would have paid even more to book them, they are THAT good! He made our night absolutely perfect and I have him to thank for how much fun our guests had! Thank you to Schaffer Sounds - you are the BEST in the business!

Schaffer Sound DJs had a great prep worksheet for us to fill out, detailing the type of music we like and wanted at our wedding, must plays and do not plays, etc. That helped us think through what we wanted, and articulate that clearly. As I've read in other reviews here, it definitely would have been better if we could've met with our specific DJ before the wedding, to talk through the timeline and how we wanted certain items to go (announcing a family photo moment, announcing the end-of-the-night send off) - we did have a meeting about this, but that was with Chris, who was not the DJ at our wedding. That would've helped to avoid a few small snags, but frankly I was having such a good night that those things didn't bother me during the wedding. The other thing that I wish I'd specified beforehand was how I wanted our ceremony sound set up. There was a big microphone stand in front of me and my husband during our wedding, which got in the way of photos and wasn't really necessary, as we were handing the microphone between us, the officiant, and readers. That was a bit disappointing, but could have been easily resolved by specifying more clearly what I wanted, or by having someone check out the set up before the ceremony began. I really appreciated how much our DJ tried to work in requests from our guests. We had a "I promise to play if the DJ plays..." question on our invitation, and he worked a surprising number of those requests into the night, which was really fun! Overall, Schaffer Sound DJs did a great job, and I'm very glad we chose them to DJ our wedding! Would highly recommend.

Our officiant asked to do a sound check before the ceremony and he said no, and then there was a ton of feedback and cutouts during the ceremony. It was such an added plus that he was very experienced with every wedding facility we considered, and him and the team at The Ballroom at The Ben worked perfectly in sync with each other. Anytime I called/text them before the wedding they either picked up the phone or called/text me back very quickly. They were always known for their legendary customer service but I got to see it first hand and it is so impressive. Me and my new husband would recommend them to anyone and have already given their name to several of our friends who are engaged! Thank you again Dave and thank you to Chris in the office for answering my questions as well. It was the wedding day of my dreams and me and my husband are so grateful!!!!

Our cocktail hour music was also spot on with classic rock songs we loved that weren’t appropriate for reception dancing. Dave was engaging, charismatic and took requests from family members. He played a variety of dance music for all age groups and played me and my husband’s requests. We gave him a list of punk and rock love songs to play during cocktail hour and dinner which was very special to us. He was interactive, fun, and checked in with us periodically to see what we wanted and asked how we were doing. He was a huge part in making the night go smoothly. He provided our ceremony and reception music with seamless transition. We look forward to seeing him again when he DJs at my sister’s wedding in 2 years.

We were also able to indicate different genres we thought we would want included. We had a great first dance set which helped to really highlight what would get our guests dancing and the dancing didn’t stop! I would definitely recommend Schaffer Sound!

We met Nick the day of and he sat down with me for 2 minutes - the perfect amount of time to confirm a few details and feel my vibe day of without taking me away from my cocktail hour for too long. AND WOW he really took in our vibes because he nailed every. single. song choice. Nick fed off the crowd and had everyone out on the. dance floor. He mixed through songs and really made it feel like a club/bar, not a ballroom reception. At one point I told Nick, (or at least I tried to scream it to him) that I felt like I was at Philly's finest bar (the upstairs at Franky Bradley's) and he kept the hits coming. Not only that, to our surprise Nick got the BEST shots/mini video clips (assuming from his phone) of some really special wedding moments, which meant the world to us since we opted out of a videographer. Two of my bridesmaids are getting married in California and STILL begged for his card/contact information they were so impressed. RUN and book DJ Romeo (Nick) this second and you will not regret it.
