We can't recommend Schaffer Sound and Chris enough for a wedding! We had the pleasure of working with Chris as the DJ for our wedding. He was very helpful during the planning process in thinking about song selection and the timeline of the reception. At our reception, he played everything we requested and made great selections of high-energy songs that fit our vibe all night. Throughout the reception, and the next day, everyone was raving to us about how good he was and how good the sound was. He also created some surprise moments with us and our crowd that we will always remember. We also used Schaffer's photobooth package at our reception and the props were the best I've seen at any wedding, everyone loved them. 10/10 for the full experience

Schaffer Sound was wonderful to work with! Music/DJs can really make or break an event so I was nervous and did a lot of reviews. A (highly critical friend) recommended them; and I'm so glad she did! Chris was easy to talk to! He was friendly, professional and made us feel comfortable. They didn't push any extra ticket items or agendas which was huge bc we went with a basic package and yet they treated us with utmost respect and courtesy. The day of, Kevin, was awesome! He did exactly what I asked him, which was just get the party started and keep it going! He did just that!! He was so good and he was very easy to talk to when I had requests. Totally trusted his professional insight to timing and flow of the reception. Very grateful Schaffer Sound worked so hard to make sure we and our guests had a great time! We had our wedding and ceremony this May at Glen Foerd and we went with Schaffer Sound for our DJ and sound system. They did such an excellent job. They were very professional and took care of everything without a single hiccup. The best part was our DJ, Michael Rose, who was exceptional. We had a tricky crowd with a mix of generations and song requests in 2 additional languages other than English. Despite that, he handled it perfectly, reading the crowd and perfectly matching and setting the mood. I'm so glad we had him as our DJ. If you want a seamless experience, I highly recommend Schaffer Sound and asking for Michael Rose to be your DJ.

Chris Romanelli and Schaffer Sound were so easy to work with for music and lighting for our wedding. We liked being able to plug all of the details into an online form. Our DJ, Corey Prince, played so many songs that we and our guests loved that we hadn't even thought to include on our "must play" list. He did a great job reading the room and interpreting our music tastes. He was professional and attentive throughout the day and helped direct the flow of the event.

My husband and I got married on May 10, 2024 and hiring Schaffer sound was the best decision!! From start to finish, the music was incredible and the dance floor never stopped. All of our guests complimented the music selections- there was something played to get everyone up, dancing, and singing! They honored my “must play” songs and my “do not play” sounds. We had an excellent experience with Schaffer Sound at our January wedding! Dave has an incredible "announcer" voice and made sure that everything went smoothly from the ceremony to the reception to open dancing. My husband and I are glad we went with Schaffer Sound. We had a really great experience with every interaction and the guests had a great time at the wedding. There were a few things that we discussed prior to the big day that didn’t happen at the wedding (we requested not to play the full “first dances” and they were, etc.) but nothing was significant enough to be an issue at all. We couldn't be more thrilled and appreciative of the experience that Schaffer Sounds provided on our wedding day. Scott was our DJ and we were so impressed with how he was able to time everything so perfectly - our ceremony music, intro music, first dances, cocktail/dinner hour and reception music were all spot on and seamless. What stood out to us the most was how Scott was able to take our song requests and taste in music and skillfully adapt to the mood of the crowd. The reception was an absolute blast and the dancefloor stayed packed until the end because Scott's timing and song selection was on point. We even skipped dessert so that we didn't have to leave the dancefloor! I cannot emphasize this enough - if you are looking for a DJ for your wedding, book Schaffer Sounds - you will NOT be disappointed! If fact, many of our guests have told us they have never seen a dance floor so packed the entire night at a wedding full of all age groups. Dave was absolutely incredible. He was professional, friendly, reliable, and very talented. He knew exactly the songs the crowd wanted without even being asked. Dave even took some videos of our night including the last song where everyone circled around us and sent them to me the next day. While the price we paid to have them as our DJ for the night was extremely reasonable, I would have paid even more to book them, they are THAT good! He made our night absolutely perfect and I have him to thank for how much fun our guests had! Thank you to Schaffer Sounds - you are the BEST in the business!

Our DJ- Chris, was absolutely AMAZING! He had the dance floor packed the entire night. We can not thank Schaffer Sound for making our wedding SO much fun. They answered all of our questions efficiently and truly went above and beyond. From our ceremony, cocktail hour, dinner and the reception- it was perfect. Our venue had a very short list of allowed DJs, due to sound ordinances in the area, which is how we settled on Schaffer Sound DJs. Overall, they did a wonderful job and helped to make our wedding a success! Schaffer Sound DJs had a great prep worksheet for us to fill out, detailing the type of music we like and wanted at our wedding, must plays and do not plays, etc. That helped us think through what we wanted, and articulate that clearly. As I've read in other reviews here, it definitely would have been better if we could've met with our specific DJ before the wedding, to talk through the timeline and how we wanted certain items to go (announcing a family photo moment, announcing the end-of-the-night send off) - we did have a meeting about this, but that was with Chris, who was not the DJ at our wedding. That would've helped to avoid a few small snags, but frankly I was having such a good night that those things didn't bother me during the wedding. The other thing that I wish I'd specified beforehand was how I wanted our ceremony sound set up. There was a big microphone stand in front of me and my husband during our wedding, which got in the way of photos and wasn't really necessary, as we were handing the microphone between us, the officiant, and readers. That was a bit disappointing, but could have been easily resolved by specifying more clearly what I wanted, or by having someone check out the set up before the ceremony began. I really appreciated how much our DJ tried to work in requests from our guests. We had a "I promise to play if the DJ plays..." question on our invitation, and he worked a surprising number of those requests into the night, which was really fun! Overall, Schaffer Sound DJs did a great job, and I'm very glad we chose them to DJ our wedding! Would highly recommend.

We hired Schaffer Sound for our wedding on 9/2/23. They NAILED our ceremony entrance music and the reception. Schaffer Sounds did a great job for our September 2023 wedding. Their online portal made it easy to submit music for our ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception, and allowed us to share 'must play' and 'do not play' songs - which the DJ stuck to! We also had a planning call a few weeks ahead of the wedding to make sure everyone was on the same page, so we were confident it was going to be a great night. We worked a lot with Dave and Chris leading up to our wedding. They were both very professional, informative, friendly and prompt in responding to all of our questions. The planning process was flawless. Dave was our DJ at the wedding and he was INCREDIBLE! All the songs we requested were played and we got so many compliments from our guests about the DJ. My husband and I used Schaffer Sound as our DJ for our ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception. Our DJ was interactive, communicative, and he did a fantastic job at our reception. He read the crowd well and constantly kept them on their feet. We had such a lovely time with him. The only thing that did not work well was the microphone at the ceremony. Our officiant asked to do a sound check before the ceremony and he said no, and then there was a ton of feedback and cutouts during the ceremony. Otherwise, it was great working with Schaffer Sound from planning to shutting down the party!

Schaffer Sound DJs are incredible! Dave Schaffer did such an amazing job! He handled every announcement flawlessly and the dance floor was so crowded! We wanted an upbeat, high energy reception and Dave delivered! It was such an added plus that he was very experienced with every wedding facility we considered, and him and the team at The Ballroom at The Ben worked perfectly in sync with each other. Anytime I called/text them before the wedding they either picked up the phone or called/text me back very quickly. They were always known for their legendary customer service but I got to see it first hand and it is so impressive. Me and my new husband would recommend them to anyone and have already given their name to several of our friends who are engaged! Mikey was our DJ and he did an awesome job playing music to our crowd. Mikey also helped keep the night flowing. We didn’t meet with him before the wedding but he knows how to keep the party going! Any time we needed information related to our guests, Mikey had no problem relating the message. Great communication from all the staff at Schaffer!

The sound was loud and clear, our guests complimented the music selection multiple times through the night, and he was flexible with making some last minute adjustments to our party introductions with no problem! We were married on 11/19/22 and almost a week later we’re still hearing from guests that they’ve never been to a wedding where they danced all night long. Dave absolutely made our night, and we can’t thank him enough. We told Dave that with the exception of one or two slow songs that we wanted to dance the night the away, and he delivered. Never was there a lull in the party. Working with Schaffer Sound was beyond easy from start to finish. Chris was so great at answering any questions with super quick response times. He made sure our planning forms were filled out correctly, and was kind enough to note updates just a few days before our wedding. Dave worked with our venue to ensure that the our first dance songs were played exactly when we asked. Dave also arranged a surprise intro for my dad that NO ONE knew about. He also made sure our outside ceremony sound was flawless, and was a true hero outside in the very chilly 40 degree weather. Our cocktail hour music was also spot on with classic rock songs we loved that weren’t appropriate for reception dancing. Dave was engaging, charismatic and took requests from family members. DJ Romeo (Nick) was amazing!! We were referred to him by a mutual friend and he did not disappoint. He has us fill out a few different forms to really understand our likes and dislikes. My husband and I really only listen to rock and metal, so we needed some guidance as to what people our age (mid to late 20s) usually dance to. He played a variety of dance music for all age groups and played me and my husband’s requests. We gave him a list of punk and rock love songs to play during cocktail hour and dinner which was very special to us. He was interactive, fun, and checked in with us periodically to see what we wanted and asked how we were doing. He was a huge part in making the night go smoothly. He provided our ceremony and reception music with seamless transition. We look forward to seeing him again when he DJs at my sister’s wedding in 2 years.

After having a few other phone/Zoom calls with other DJ companies, we knew that working with Dave and Schaffer Sound was the right option for us. We didn’t have too many extras, just uplighting which they had available. Dave really got a feel for who we are, what we wanted, and gave us a lot of comfort before setting up a contract. After we had our contract, Schaffer Sound had an online portal that asks all the key details to make the introductions, blessing, speeches, and dancing a breeze! The portal allowed us to constantly update it as we thought of different songs we wanted, while also allowing us to indicate when in the evening we wanted it (cocktail hour, dinner, or dancing). We were also able to indicate different genres we thought we would want included. We had a great first dance set which helped to really highlight what would get our guests dancing and the dancing didn’t stop! I would definitely recommend Schaffer Sound!

WOW - to say we were blown away by DJ Romeo (Nick) is an understatement. Prior to the wedding, Schaffer Sounds had us complete and online form describing our likes, dislikes, wants, and absolute hates. We had a quick zoom meeting with management, and then that was that! We met Nick the day of and he sat down with me for 2 minutes - the perfect amount of time to confirm a few details and feel my vibe day of without taking me away from my cocktail hour for too long. AND WOW he really took in our vibes because he nailed every. single. song choice. Nick fed off the crowd and had everyone out on the. dance floor. He mixed through songs and really made it feel like a club/bar, not a ballroom reception. At one point I told Nick, (or at least I tried to scream it to him) that I felt like I was at Philly's finest bar (the upstairs at Franky Bradley's) and he kept the hits coming. Not only that, to our surprise Nick got the BEST shots/mini video clips (assuming from his phone) of some really special wedding moments, which meant the world to us since we opted out of a videographer. Two of my bridesmaids are getting married in California and STILL begged for his card/contact information they were so impressed. RUN and book DJ Romeo (Nick) this second and you will not regret it.

We had Nick as our DJ and he made us feel incredibly comfortable and confident with our day! He was consistently checking with us to make sure we liked the music and see if we needed anything! The whole process from start to finish was easy and stress free !

Okay wow. The wedding is over but I will be planning more events just so I can hire these guys to Dj again. Everything about working with these guys was smooth, organized, and easy. Dave (the owner) DJ’ed our wedding, and the whole night and days following our wedding people kept telling us how awesome the music selection was. We also had a saxophone player and drummer who were outstanding, and the impressive thing I thought on both their ends was that they’d never worked together before and you would’ve NEVER known! They were amazing together. Dave also was awesome with taking charge of our wedding party entrances and whatnot, explaining the order of things, and making sure everyone knew what was happening, which you really need with a bigger wedding especially. We had given Dave a few songs to play and he played them, the ones he added were so spot on awesome and appealed to young guests and the not so young guests, and he avoided the do not play songs which was really cool. Basically I would say - these guys get it. 10/10 would recommend.

We used Schaffer Sound for our DJ after both of my sisters did and we couldn't be happier! Chris was great and very easy to communicate with throughout the planning and detail process. All I wanted was a packed dance floor all night and Dave, our DJ the day of, DELIVERED! He had just the right amount of interaction we were looking for and he executed our requested songs perfectly and had the dance floor going all night!

We communicated with Chris the months leading up to the wedding and he helped us to curate the music for our wedding day. Our DJ, Nick, was super nice and kept the party going to the end! The only thing I wish would have been done differently was having a direct consultation with our DJ so he could hear our wants and needs in person - there were a couple of snags in the night that I think could have been avoided had we had the chance to talk with our selected DJ. Schaffer Sound was our DJ for our wedding and after party and they were nothing short of amazing! The guys who work there were so easy-going and accommodating and kept the party going all night! Our guests never wanted to leave the dance floor because the music they were playing was so great ! They played music for all listeners and their variety was perfect for our crowd! Chris from was the absolute best DJ to work with for our wedding at Cauffiel Estate & Barn. Chris was organized, attentive and very timely with all feedback! We had our own indivualized online portal for our event that we could edit/update with the layout of our entire wedding ceremony/reception and pick our songs which made for a super easy and personable wedding event! Chris kept our dance floor PACKED the ENTIRE event and we had the best time dancing the night away at our reception. Dave from Schaffer Sound did an incredible job of DJ'ing my wedding! My family is Irish, and my husband's family is Hispanic. We wanted to intergrate the music choices so it reflected both sides, and of course added the classic wedding jams. Dave did an excellent job of incorporating both styles of music. Everyone was enjoying themselves and asking my guests later they all agreed that Dave did a great job of mixing both styles in. Everyone had an absolute blast!! Chris was the DJ for our wedding at Tyler Arboretum and he was truly outstanding! We had a check-in call a few weeks before the wedding and felt instantly relieved that he understood the vibe we wanted for our wedding day. This became even more apparent on the day itself. I can’t say enough how amazing this DJ was. We had Jerry for our wedding. He kept my guests dancing all night long and read the crowd so well. My guests raved about him and are still talking about how good the music was. He had all of my guests up and dancing and definitely kept the party going! The dance floor was packed!! The music was perfect from the ceremony to the cocktail hour to dinner hour to the dancing. The introductions were great. I am so happy I used them and can’t say enough good things about them. What a great team! Chris made planning super easy, and our day of DJ did a great job. The music was always going and had people dancing all night. One of our wedding highlights was when the DJ had the married couples dance, and he ended the song with only the longest-married couple left on the dance floor - such a sweet moment!

We booked Schaffer Sound Djs for our big day in early 2019, not knowing that we'd have to deal with a pandemic and change our date. Chris the manager at Schaffer helped us every step of the way!! We had to scale our wedding down to less than 100 guests. Kevin was our DJ and was soooo amazing. He rocked the party and even had my 87 year old grandmother dancing for 1/2 the night. She was socially distant with a mask on of course! We can't thank the team at Schaffer enough. It was such a great experience from start to finish. We actually just booked their services for my parents Anniversary. Thanks again!!!
