Dancing The Night Away With Your Loved Ones
I attended a wedding last year at Schicks Lakeside and was truly blown away.
The venue itself has been completely renovated from top to bottom and is absolutely stunning. Our family stayed the weekend and enjoyed everything the property had to offer. It made the weekend event feel incredibly intimate and personal, sharing multiple days with the bride and groom and our extended family.
Everything flowed beautifully throughout the weekend. From the welcome night food trucks in the parking lot, to the ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception the next day —it never felt crowded or disorganized and felt exclusive to just our group.
The lake provided a gorgeous backdrop for the ceremony, and the cocktail hour in the snack shack offered a place for everyone to gather before dinner. The newly constructed pavilion and mobile Chris-Craft boat bar served as the main hub for dinner, dancing, and the live band. The bartenders kept the drinks flowing, and the live band playing on the water was such an awesome touch.
The staff's suggested vendors were on time, provided top-tier food and beverage options, and used fast, friendly staff.
If you are looking for a venue that is both gorgeous and highly personal, I highly recommend checking out Schicks Lakeside for your next event.
I honestly don’t think we could have picked a better venue.
Having all of our family and closest friends stay on-site together completely changed the dynamic of the wedding. Instead of everyone scattering after the reception, we were able to spend real, quality time with everyone all weekend, which is something you just don’t get at a traditional venue.
The setting itself is incredible. The lake backdrop for the ceremony is as good as it gets, and the property is laid out in a way that feels both relaxed and intentional. It never felt crowded, even with a large group, and there are multiple areas for people to hang out, whether it’s by the water, around the fire pit, or at the outdoor gathering spaces.
One of the biggest advantages is the exclusivity. You’re not sharing the space with another wedding or random hotel guests, it’s your group and your event. That makes everything feel more personal and way less chaotic. It also allows you to actually enjoy your own wedding instead of feeling rushed in and out on someone else’s schedule.
From a logistics standpoint, it’s extremely practical. The on-site accommodations make things easy for guests, especially for a destination-style wedding. You can bring in your own vendors and tailor everything exactly how you want it, which gives you a lot more control over the experience.
We’d choose it again without hesitation.
