There is little I could say to do Shannon justice! Planning my wedding remotely presented a great deal of challenges, particularly with finding the right vendors (as I was unable to meet in person). From the moment I first spoke with Shannon, it was clear to me she saw my vision and would capture our day perfectly. Not only that - but she came all the way to us in DC to take our engagement photos!! She emphasized the value in the engagement session in making sure we got exactly what we wanted, and for that we are eternally grateful. Our wedding pictures are so perfect and beautiful, and Shannon and her team (Hannah was incredible!!!) truly know how to capture the love. There was a lot going on the day of, but Shannon always made me feel relaxed and at ease, and she truly through of everything. It was wonderful to be able to have a photographer we trust so much, and we found her guidance throughout to be invaluable. We couldn’t imagine someone easier to work with than Shannon, and highly recommend her for your special day!

I first worked with Shannon when I was a bridesmaid in my friend’s wedding. After getting the chance to see how she worked on the wedding day, I knew that we needed to hire her for our wedding! During our first phone meeting Shannon was professional and thorough but also so sweet and friendly. When we met up for our engagement shoot I was nervous about being in front of the camera but she chatted with us and made the experience fun and easy. On our wedding day we had her and her second photographer Hannah. They arrived on time and got to work right away. Shannon was a calm energy that was greatly appreciated for a nervous bride. She was able to work through our first look, family formals and bridal party pictures efficiently and even though we were initially running behind from hair and makeup she not only got done what we had planned but made up enough time that we were able to do our couple portraits before our wedding so we were able to enjoy our cocktail hour! Shannon and Hannah were able to get all the pictures we could have asked for but were never in the way or obtrusive. At the end of the evening they checked in with us before leaving and had some little polaroids so we didn’t even have to wait to see some of her beautiful work. I am so grateful that I had Shannon and Hannah with us to capture our day so perfectly!

Shannon and her team are A++. From our engagement shoot to our wedding day, Shannon and Hannah were warm, kind, fun to be around, and so so talented. We have LOVED every single picture she has given us, and we can't wait to see our final bunch of wedding photos. If her sneak peaks are any indication, they will all be stunning! Her style of photography is beautiful. She is by far the best vendor decision we made for our whole wedding. We recommend her to everyone!

Talented. Kind. Timely. Accommodating. We met with several photographers, and realized everyone we met, we were comparing against Shannon. Hands down, she was best decision we could've made! Shannon was incredible when shooting our engagement pictures on one of the coldest days of winter and returned beautiful shots very promptly. Before our wedding, she was amazingly proactive about reaching out to be sure we were all set for the big day. The day of the wedding, she and second shooter, Hannah, were extremely organized in getting pictures taken, and onto the next (much appreciated, as it was pretty chilly where my husband and I wanted to take pictures). They blended in, and got incredible shots, including random groups of people we wanted pictures of. I especially appreciated that she got pictures without pulling people away from the party (the guests did too!). We felt like Shannon was a friend-- not someone we hired to be with us for the majority of our big day. The pictures are in, and we couldn't be happier with them. We whole heartedly would recommend Shannon to anyone!

My husband and I... well entire family and friends, cannot say enough about Shannon and her work! To start, her photos are beautiful, natural, and capture the moments of our wedding perfectly. We have so many amazing photos from our wedding to chose from and we have received countless compliments on the photos and about Shannon directly. I would highly recommend Shannon to be your wedding photographer! My husband and I had her do an engagement shoot as well as photograph our wedding. It was truly a pleasure having her join us on our wedding day. She genuinely cares about making your day the best it can be. I can not say enough good things about Shannon! She is an amazing photographer (and person!) and she takes the time to make sure she gets the perfect photographs. She made us feel at ease with our engagement photo shoot and the same with our wedding. Our bridal party was fairly large so we had a lot to pictures to get done. We came up with a plan before hand and got everything we needed accomplished! You will not be disappointed if you have Shannon photograph your wedding or any other event!

Shannon was seriously the BEST! She is so sweet and truly compliments your day. She has such a fun personality which was important to us. Everyone said how they barely noticed we even had a photographer there. Our pictures came out beautiful on what was a super grey and rainy day. We can’t stop looking through them and picking our favorites is near impossible! Her style is 100% natural with minimal posing which we loved and it shows in our pictures. But that was also balanced with some typical bridal portraits which was important to us as well. Would definitely recommend!!!

I've worked with Shannon O'Neil Photography for three shoots - lifestyle, boudoir, and engagement - and I cannot express how highly I recommend her services. For our engagement shoot, she took the time to research our location in advance and even came up with some unique spots we had not thought of for some beautiful pictures! She is excellent at putting people at ease, whether they are inexperienced in front of the camera or just feel awkward in the moment - you would never know it from the results! I've used her photos for Christmas cards and Save the Dates to rave reviews, and her photos are my favorite framed pictures in my house. If you want heirloom quality photos, look no further.

You NEED to hire Shannon O'Neil Photography for your wedding or any other event! Our pictures were gorgeous starting with our engagement photos which were done outside on the coldest day of the year. Shannon was extremely professional and helped us stay on task with clear directions during our shoot. I couldn't be happier with the outcome of our wedding pictures. She had excellent and prompt communication via email and phone before the wedding to plan out every detail and a timeline to keep us on track. On-site Shannon was punctual, her team was very patient and friendly which made the entire experience more relaxing and enjoyable. At the end of the night before Shannon left she checked in with me to make sure there were no other specific photos I wanted to capture. Again, WE ARE THRILLED with our photos. She really knows how to catch the best moments, I highly recommend her.

There are no words to describe the beauty in the pictures Shannon captured at my wedding. When I saw the pictures, I started tearing up because I feel like those pictures brought back the memories of my wedding day. On the day of the wedding she made sure everything was running smooth and had such a calming presence. She is with you every step of the way and responds quickly to any email! After getting our sneak peek photos back from our wedding I had to come here to write a review before even seeing the rest. Shannon has a classic yet modern eye for photography and she is simply a delight to be around. I felt so comfortable with her and on your wedding day...that comfort is so important! Shannon is upbeat but realistic and made our rainy wedding day that much brighter. She has given us photos of memories that we will cherish forever. Shannon is the real deal & we feel lucky to have found her!

Shannon is by far the best photographer I could have ever asked for on my wedding day. She is calm, cool and collected while helping you navigate the day and makes every photo so special. She was able to show me weddings she had done before at our venue and let me find all the styles I wanted. She is simply wonderful at capturing moments you didn't even know were happening. She captures the love you experience on your wedding day like no one else ever could. We fell head over heels with her and hope she will honor us with capturing all the life experiences we have to come!

Shannon was absolutely amazing - from start to finish!! She was the first vendor we hired - 2.5 years before our wedding - and I am so glad we did! She was more than helpful throughout the planning process, and did a great job calming my nerves on my wedding day (as well as during the engagement shoot!). Shannon, my (now) husband, and I all graduated from UMass together. We were acquaintances then, but now I am lucky enough to call her my friend! She traveled all the way to UMass for our engagement session - which was just the perfect location since that is where him and I met. She made me feel so beautiful - I will forever cherish those photos! We used them for our wedding website and save the dates as well as framed decorations for the wedding - I just can't get enough of them. (FYI for a fee she will print any photos you'd like - any size you like. The quality was awesome). Then...the wedding! Omg... She is just so incredibly talented, so easy going, so sure of herself and was really good at keeping me calm and collected. Every shot I wanted - she got! Even when I thought we were running out of time.... she assured me we weren't (and was right). The photos turned out absolutely stunning. We had her and her assistant for 10 hours - plus she brought along a third shooter who was training (at no charge to us). I'm so glad we had her whole team there! There are so many great shots - and being able to go back and see pictures of the things I wasn't there for (i.e. the guys getting ready) - was so worth it to me. She arrived promptly at 11am (tail end of us getting ready), and stayed until 9pm. This was a perfect time frame to get all the photos we wanted. She was so professional, so accommodating, so flexible. I just can't say enough good things. And the photos....oh my. They truly are breathtaking. I can't wait to design an album with her, and will definitely be ordering some prints to frame for the house too. Plus she will forever be my go-to for any of our photography needs. You want Shannon on your team. She is so calm, professional, and organized! Having Shannon with us the day of our wedding was perfect — she fit easily with our whole wedding crew and made it fun and not awkward at all! Unlike other weddings I’ve been in where the photographer can be distracting, Shannon is there to make sure all your special moments are captured on film without taking away from them. We cannot thank her enough. I highly recommend Shannon for any photography needs and am also lucky to have made a friend in the process!! :)

I first was recommended Shannon when I was looking for a photographer for my sister's surprise engagement event at my family's restaurant. We gave her less than a weeks notice and she willingly drove over an hour to photograph the event. Shannon was professional and kind and had the biggest smile on her face the whole night. We had a lot of people in one room with many tables, chairs and decorations that she was able to photoshop out so my sister had perfect memories of the night. We were all extremely impressed. Of course after seeing those photos, I had to hire Shannon to do my own engagement photos. She again drove out to me and met me at my family's farm. Shannon sent emails back and forth with me prior making sure she knew exactly what I wanted and was able to create the most magical moments between my fiancé and I. My favorite shoot was a month before my wedding - I got this brilliant idea to do a boudoir shoot as a gift for my husband the morning of our wedding. I was extremely nervous but once she arrived her professionalism and kindness made me more comfortable than I've ever been in front of a camera. The photos were flawless and my husband was completely shocked! Finally, our wedding. Shannon showed up 7 months pregnant with husband in tow (just in case). Shannon had spent hours personalizing a time line for my wedding and the whole day was flawless. I honestly couldn't have asked for a better photographer! Shannon will be a part of our lives for every important event that may be in our future. You can really tell how much passion she has for photography in every photo. She's the type of person that goes above and beyond in various situations and I HIGHLY recommend her to anyone for any occasion.

Having an amazing photographer for your wedding day is by far one of the most important things! Once your day has come and gone the only thing you have left are the photos. Shannon was our photographer for our engagement session on the Boston Harbor Walk and our February 2017 wedding at Cruiseport Gloucester. Throughout the planning process Shannon was very responsive through both emails and texts, which made me feel so much as ease. I never had to worry about her missing out on details and/or scheduling. Shannon was super easy (and a joy) to work with and has an eye for creating gorgeous photos. She captured the day and the people as it happened – and that is what a great photographer should do. After the wedding we received our photos in a timely manner – with full rights to all of the photos – and she is now working to put a full wedding album together for us. I would choose Shannon 100 times over and I recommend her without hesitation to all of the future brides out there! I will definitely be using Shannon again. She does a lot of family shoots and whether my and I husband would just like more photos or we want pictures of our first child we will be going to her.

It's important to have a photographer you trust in charge of capturing all the important moments of your special day. I can confidently say that Shannon earned our trust immediately. She was very professional during our first meeting and shared our enthusiasm for our wedding while also giving us sound advice for the planning process. The choice for us was easy after looking at her portfolio of work. We chose Shannon and we haven't regretted our choice for a second. Our experience started with a lovely engagement photo shoot at Odiorne State Park in New Hampshire. Even though the weather was cold and spotty, the pictures would never show it. They came out beautiful. Then, she came with us the next day to preview our ceremony location and took even more pictures to add to our engagement session. Shannon goes to great lengths to make every moment special. She gently guided us into poses and allowed us to also naturally fall into candid shots as well. She is professional, talented, and knowledgeable. We received our photos in a timely manner and when I showed them to my brother and new sister-in-law, they were so jealous of the quality and quantity that they now want to book a session with Shannon for themselves to redo the engagement session they had with another photographer! We were lucky to find Shannon and we trust her completely. We are getting married in July and can't wait to see how she beautifully captures our special day!
