268 West Broadway, Jim Thorpe, PA
Located in Jim Thorpe, PA, the Stabin Museum is a unique wedding and events venue. Established by artist Victor Stabin in a historically entrepreneurial building of stone facades and redbrick construction, this space makes a truly remarkable backdrop for special festivities. You may make this locale the setting for your important day. Victor was born in Manhattan and grew up in Brooklyn and Queens. His passion for art inspired his educational path, starting with the High School of Art & Design in New York City, NY. His education continued at the Art Center College of Design in Los Angeles, CA, and the School of Visual Arts in New York City. With 25 years and a career as an illustrator, Victor departed both the commercial art world and New York City to move to Jim Thorpe. Here, he looked for a setting to focus on his personal work. He selected 268 West Broadway with its long and storied history of creation. Constructed over the waters of the Mauch Chunk Creek, this building has hosted the fabrication of braided steel cable, World War II parachutes, clothing, and toys. In 2003, Victor began the renovation of the first portion of this expansive 16,000 square foot building into his personal studio. Since then, Victor has revitalized this historic structure with art galleries. With the assistance of Morykin, it has become the Stabin Museum with a twin role of public facility and artistic laboratory. This includes Cafe Arielle as a dining space and the outdoor patio for entertaining. The Stabin Museum hosts wedding festivities. Once sunset comes in, the galleries serve as a lounge for conversation and connection. You may contact the management of this venue for additional details of their services.
