I am the type of person who can either take control of your wedding to keep it on schedule or sit back and let your wedding planner run the show. . . I go with the flow for your wedding day - as long as it's not at the expense of doing what you hired me to do - get really amazing wedding portraits! Couples hire me because I can make everyone, no matter their body type or wedding budget, look AH-MAZING in their photos.
My wedding photography style is best described as Luxe: fine art inspired with a hint of moodiness, and my posing styles can range from editorial to journalistic/candid depending on what my couple's personalities and styles are. Most of my couples love the combination of high fashion inspired poses/expressions, and more relaxed candid looks. You walk away from the end of your wedding or session with me feeling like a model, no matter your skin tone, colour or creed.
My love of capturing true emotion, the natural moments, is why I decided to become a wedding photographer. The connection between two people, and the raw emotion you feel, is my favorite part to get on 'film'. I have been a full time wedding photographer since 2019 (great timing hey? Riiiight before a worldwide pandemic) and it has been the best move of my life. Not only am I fulfilled artistically, but I am also able to be home with my son Apollo every day and peruse my international Grand Prix Dressage ambitions!

I literally would not have stayed at our reception if it wasn't for Kristen. My only regret is not hiring her for our videography too, as her work there is stellar! We went with someone more established and regretted it after seeing our videos.

the wedding day, she challenged us to think through our photography schedule very carefully so as to be sure to include all the photos that we want in the most efficient way possible. When the big day came, she proved to be extremely flexible, calm, and helpful. We did almost all of our photos in the hours leading up the ceremony with only two large, family photos after the ceremony. She helped us navigate when to do what pictures and where; her demeanor put us at ease and enabled us to comfortably enjoy the photo times; Her help to expertly fix the bride's makeup after a sprinkle of rain
as well as to remind us to eat and drink throughout the photo-period ensured that we looked well and hale for the ceremony. It was not an ideal circumstance, but she dealt with it in such a professional way (in shock in the hospital, being carted out for scans and all) that we couldn't help but be impressed. Her associate photographer did a great job making our day relaxed and enjoyable, and getting the photos to Kristen quickly so we got them edited within a month and a sneak peek in 3 days.

ul for my wife, she did a great job taking over a lot of the day-of coordination and photography. We didn’t have to worry about good picture opportunities at the new venue, though it was super bright and hot out. She helped us arrange where to set up for the ceremony, how the flow should go, and timing of it all. I didn’t worry about our poses because I knew she knew what she was doing and she even ended up doing my wifes makeup and hair to make sure she felt confident and beautiful.
