My wife and I have worked with LaDawn now on two occasions and we couldn’t recommend her enough. We love that she is local to us and so easy to work with. We’ve also stopped into the storefront several times for the individual treats she has— everything she makes is so yummy. LaDawn made our wedding cake which was a simple two tiered strawberry cake with buttercream frosting. We didn’t want anything extravagant but LaDawn still did a flawless job. The cake looked fabulous and tasted even better. A year later and we’re still drooling over the taste of our strawberry wedding cake. The process for getting a wedding cake made by LaDawn was also great! We particularly loved the cake tasting which left us with so much leftover cake that we felt positively spoiled. The design process was clear and easy as well, even though we got a simple design we felt like she could make us anything we requested. Between the cake tasting and the final product we also feel like we got a really great value. We have also ordered sheet cakes from LaDawn. Several for the wedding guests and one for our baby shower. They were great as we have come to expect from Cakes by LaDawn. You can really tell that she goes out of her way to make sure your special dessert is made to your complete satisfaction and I’m positive that whatever you order from her will please you and your guests.

The cake was beyond delicious- every guest wanted seconds! Of all the cakes I tasted, Sweets by LaDawn hands down had THE BEST. Also, the tasting portions were generous, which I appreciated. Giving 5 stars despite the cake not “stretching” as far as LaDawn said it would. Was supposed to feed 115. I had 70 guests and no cake left, which was suspicious. It was also much smaller than I had envisioned.

We had the BEST experience with LaDawn! She is the only baker in the area who prepares small cakes for your tasting and you get to take home the leftovers! Everything we tried was incredible. The only thing is I wished we would done differently is ordered more cupcakes. They flew off the stands as soon as we cut the cake. Thank you for a wonderful experience.

We had such a great experience with Sweets by LaDawn! LaDawn was very professional and collaborative. It was completely stress free knowing the cake was in good hands and being delivered to our venue. The cake itself was stunning! It was exactly what we wanted and it was delicious. Eating some leftovers as I write this now!

Could not recommend Sweets by LaDawn enough! Everything she made for our wedding was delicious, the cake being some of the best I’ve ever tasted. We ordered cupcakes, cookies, brownies and a small cut cake. Our cut-cake was beautiful and matched my inspiration picture exactly. We received compliments on all of the dessert types. You get a huge portion for your cake tasting and the cost is applied towards your final order. Everything is very fairly priced. You won’t regret using LaDawn.

We had LaDawn make our wedding cake for our May wedding and loved her and the cake! My dad has a severe peanut/tree nut allergy and she was one of very few bakers willing to work with us to make a cake he’d be comfortable eating. She takes a lot of care in making gluten-free sweets and she gave us the same care in ensuring the entire kitchen was nut-free when preparing/baking. The chocolate and lemon cakes we ordered for our wedding day were delicious, and she was so friendly and easy to work with the whole process. Just make sure you call her to confirm things - LaDawn doesn’t do business over email!

Ladawn was amazing from booking to delivery! We found her at a bridal show hosted at the Manor House & we immediately knew we needed to book her after sampling the cake because OHMYGOODNESS. The perfect balance of sweetness and flavor. The texture was soft and spongy. The cake was moist and held its shape all night! And the filling as well as the buttercream frosting complimented the cake perfectly. The cake tasting was such a fun experience during the stress of wedding planning and made for a fun date night. She was so helpful when it came to designing the cake. I knew I wanted something simple but elegant & showed her a few inspo pictures. On the day of our wedding I left some flowers on the cake table and gave her creative freedom and she blew my expectations out of the water.

Mrs. LaDawn outdid my vision for our cake. I’m more of a cupcake type of person but didn’t want to take away from the wedding cake experience. I also didn’t want to leave with a lot of cake and figured people were more inclined to eat cupcakes. So we did a two tier cake with 100 cupcakes. It was so beautiful!

I am so happy with our choice to use Sweets by LaDawn for our wedding cake. She was so great to work with and delivered exactly what I imagined, if not better! The delivery was super seamless, and the cake was DELICIOUS!

Sweets by LaDawn is truly a gem of this city! We heard about Ladawn’s shop from a few friends and then happened upon her booth at a bridal convention. After trying her cake, we were sold to choose her for our wedding! She was so accommodating to our needs and there is definitely something for everyone no matter the occasion. We did a small cake for just the wedding party and parents, and then cupcakes, brownies, and cookies for our guests! Everything was very affordable as well. Her cake and desserts were such a hit at our wedding, that we decided to go With LaDawn again for our gender reveal cake and baby shower desserts. She does such a wide range of designs from simple to very detailed and decorated cakes and cupcakes. We will definitely continue to go to Sweets by LaDawn even if it’s just to pick up a sweet treat during the week. Everything she makes is delicious and her service is impeccable. We appreciate everything she’s done for us so much and highly recommend her to anyone and everyone looking for some delicious sweets.

LaDawn is nothing short of amazing! We met her at a wedding expo and absolutely loved how helpful she was and how delicious her cake was. Of course we had to go back for seconds before we left. She was great when providing guidance during our tasting when deciding flavors and cake style. Also, the tasting samples were VERY generous! We chose to pick up our wedding cake the day before and decorate ourselves, but it turned out absolutely fabulous! Beautifully crafted and so delicious with her real buttercream and the cake consistency being on point! We could not ask for a better experience.

She was very helpful in planning how much to order for a large guest list and budget friendly in terms of planning pretty, decorated cake vs cut cake. We appreciated that we got to try many flavors for our tasting and did not have any worries once we placed our order. I would happily use her again :)

Ms. LaDawn brought my vision to life for my wedding cake. She was very professional and very detailed with my vision. She made suggestions that elevated my vision to the next level. My wedding cake presentation was breath taking. It was Absolutely Gorgeous! We had a 4 tier cake with fruit filling and buttercream icing with cupcakes in a variety of flavors tiered surrounding the main cake that feed 200 guests. The flavors (Orange Dream, Lemon, Marble, Spice, Key Lime, and Strawberry)(just a few flavor options) we selected for our tasting made it difficult to make the selection for the wedding because they were all so moist and delicious. And lets not forget about the many fruit fillings with the different types of icing you can choose from. All the guests loved the cake and cupcakes flavors so much that my husband and I only received a taste when we cut the cake. The guest raved about how delicious it was. You can not go wrong with Sweets by Ladawn. The Grants would like to thank Sweets by LaDawn, she helped make our day special with her incredible delicious cake flavors.

LaDawn is a fabulous cake designer! She met our every need & made our Cinderella themed vision come to life! The fountain made our wedding cake EXTRA special and was reasonable in price to rent. The horse drawn carriage on the top was a nice touch! LaDawn is very personable, made us feel like family.

From the beginning we thought we were going to love LaDawn and boy did she go above and beyond. As soon as we went in for a taste test, we knew we weren’t going anywhere else! Not only was the cake absolutely amazing, but the fact that she was thorough in figuring out the style of cake we wanted, how we wanted it all to look, and even placing the figurines of our pups on the cake for us, she made sure everything was perfect! LaDawn was a pleasure to work with, her price was unbeatable, and her flavors and cake were by far the best we tried, and the communication we had every step of the way was amazing!
