I am completely disgusted, hurt, and disappointed by the service I received from this company—specifically from Lucas Perez.
I originally found Lucas on Instagram and hired him in... March to perform at my wedding on August 1, 2026. I booked him for both my ceremony and cocktail hour. I was genuinely excited to have a saxophonist because I believed it would add a beautiful and meaningful touch to one of the most important days of my life.
In April, I contacted Lucas and provided him with all of the songs I wanted. At that time, he informed me that he had double-booked himself and would no longer be able to stay for the cocktail hour. He said he would only be available for the ceremony. Although I was unhappy about the change, I tried to be understanding.
After receiving my song selections, Lucas assured me that he would have enough time to learn them before the wedding. He also confirmed that I would not owe any additional money.
Yesterday, I reached out to make sure he was still available and prepared for the wedding. I received no response. Today, July 14, 2026—only 18 days before my wedding—I texted him and asked him to review my previous email and respond sometime today.
He eventually told me that he was reading the email and had questions about how the songs would be used during the ceremony. This was extremely confusing and frustrating. The saxophone music was supposed to serve as the cue for each member of the wedding party to walk down the aisle. More importantly, he had possessed this information since April. Why would he wait until 18 days before my wedding to ask basic questions about the ceremony?
He then informed me that he would not be able to learn all of the songs he had originally agreed to perform. I was furious. He had more than enough time to communicate any concerns, ask questions, or tell me that he could not fulfill the agreement. Instead, he waited until the last possible moment and left me scrambling days before my wedding.
When I confronted him, this was his response:
'You are completely right to be upset, and I take full responsibility for this failure. Because I cannot deliver the live music you requested and do not want to compromise your wedding day, I believe it is best for me to step down as your musician.I have just issued a full refund of your deposit $400 which should reflect in your account shortly. I deeply apologize for the stress and disruption this causes so close to your wedding date, and I sincerely wish you a beautiful ceremony.'
He then had the nerve to offer me suggestions with my DJ—if I wanted to hire my DJ for that part of my wedding I would have do so from the beginning and nit have booked a musician.
Had Lucas been honest with me in April, I would have had enough time to find someone else. Instead, he repeatedly assured me that he could provide the service, waited for months without properly preparing or communicating, and then abandoned the commitment less than three weeks before my wedding.
This has been one of the worst customer-service experiences I have ever had. I cried so hard because the saxophone performance was one of the parts of my wedding that I was most excited about. What should have been a special and joyful detail has now become another source of stress, heartbreak, and disappointment.
My experience with Thatentertainment and Lucas Perez has been completely unacceptable. A refund does not make up for months of wasted time, broken promises, poor communication, and the emotional distress caused by canceling only 18 days before my wedding.
